Title: Forbidden Desires
Summary: Johnny & Elizabeth meet and instantly sparks begin to fly. Between the dangers of his mob life & her safe life, will they throw caution to the wind & give it a go? Rated M for violence/sex/language. AH.
Chapter 4
(Elizabeth is at the Nurse's Station going through her files. No matter how many times she tries not to, her mind goes back to the previous night. She shakes her head and clears her throat as she attempts to push away the memories that are threatening to take over in her mind. She rolls her eyes in frustration, but it's obvious she doesn't want to fight it anymore. A small smile appears across her face as she remembers Johnny's hands around her waist. His eyes staring passionately into hers as they were dancing. A blush spreads across her face when she remembers Johnny's lips over hers. She briefly closes her eyes as she attempts to remember the feeling of his sweet soft lips over hers. The way his lips felt and how he tasted when their tongues explored the other's mouth during the sensual and lingering kiss)
(She did her best to forget her current thoughts. Not just on the kiss they shared at Jake's, but also on Johnny. She shook her head as she didn't know what it was about Johnny that sent chills up her spine as well as causing butterflies in her stomach. She barely knew the guy. She chuckled as she recalled Johnny attempting to teach her how to play pool. She couldn't play pool to save her life. Kelly and Robin knew that and now Johnny knew it too. She felt like a complete fool because she thought she knew how to play, but obviously she didn't since Johnny pointed it out to her and told her that she wasn't playing the game right)
(She scoffed slightly as she knew her friends wouldn't hesitate to tease her on her lack of knowledge regarding the game of pool. But with Johnny, sure he seemed a little cocky during her lesson with him, but he looked genuinely interested in helping her play. She felt confused as she didn't know what it was about the guy, but there was a need, no a desire inside of her, that wanted to get to know him more. But why the hell would she want to get to know him for anyway? He is just a handsome stranger that flirted with her. It probably meant nothing to him. Yet, something in her heart was telling her to get to know him more that he was more than a man in a bar. Even if she did want to get to know him more, she couldn't. She didn't know how she could because she didn't know him, not where he lived, not what he did for a living. She didn't know any of his personal details. Well, okay, she knew a few things. He hung out at Jake's sometimes and he was a master at pool. At least to Elizabeth he was. A smile appears on her face when she remembered her kiss with Johnny)
(Even though she didn't want to, she had to admit to herself and soon to her friends that she was looking forward to seeing the mysterious Johnny again. She didn't know much about him but she just figured that was part of the adventure. She had a look of horror in her eyes as she came to the realization that the ladies would soon find out about her smooch with Johnny. She knew she wouldn't be able to keep it from them even she wanted to because she would need to confide in them on what happened. Fuck, she thought to herself. When they find out, she will never live it down and they would want all the details. Elizabeth winced and closed her eyes as she wasn't sure she was ready to tell them or for them to find out on their own)
(It's not that she was ashamed of her encounters with Johnny, but she knew damn well if the cat got out of the bag, things would never be the same between her and the girls. Yes, they would be happy for their friend, but they wouldn't be able to fight the urge to not only get every last detail out of what happened with Johnny, but to tease that Elizabeth finally had a man in her life. Not that she was entirely certain that she did have a guy in her life because, for all she knew, the kiss was only a onetime thing. She needed to ask herself if she wanted things to go further or if she just wanted to let things go. For all she knew, he didn't think of her like that)
(She promised herself that after Jason disrespected their relationship that she would be cautious with giving her heart away to the next man that came along. If Johnny wanted more, he would have to be willing to make her a priority and not an afterthought)
(Elizabeth's thoughts are dashed when she hears a few familiar voices coming her way from down the hall. She didn't even have to look up as she knew who the voices were. She couldn't help but smirk at their conversation)
Kelly: (sighs happily) "You know something? I can't get over how good he looked last night."
Robin: (laughs) "You mean with no clothes?" (shakes her head) "Girl, you're too funny." (tilts her head) "Of course, with Nathan, he looks good in anything..." (smirks wickedly) "...or nothing at all."
Liz: (clears her throat) "I see you two haven't lost your sense of humor. I'm beginning to think you don't care who overhears your conversations..." (chuckles a little) "...as revealing as they are."
(Kelly and Robin turn their attention to their friend. Robin folds her arms as Kelly props her hands on the desk)
Kelly: "So, Miss Webber, did you have as good of a time last night as we did?"
Robin: "Or are you still trying to figure out life?"
(Elizabeth sighs as she continues to look at her paperwork, although it's obvious she can't help but join the conversation)
Liz: "Yeah, I guess I did have a somewhat interesting time last night after my two friends decided to ditch me and have a very hot night of passion with their man. I'm not going to name any names, but something tells me they know who they are."
(Kelly and Robin wince as they knew she was referring to them. They look at each other with guilty faces before turning their attention back to their friend)
Kelly: "Would it make a difference if I told you I was on my way to see you at our place but my man couldn't keep his eyes off me as well as his hands? Trust me, girl, with those hands, even you wouldn't have been able to resist. Johnny was supposed to work late, but Sonny was nice enough to let him go early. In the end, however, it worked out for me."
(Elizabeth looks at Robin and raises her eyebrows)
Liz: "And you? What's your excuse?"
Robin: (chuckles nervously) "I was planning on meeting you, but let's just say Nathan had other ideas. He was having fun with the guys, of course, but he sent me a wicked text saying if I was game, he had other plans for me. Let's just say, it's too private to explain in detail in a hospital."
(Robin and Kelly look at each other before facing their friend again)
Robin: "Even though they told us they had other plans, at the last minute, they couldn't resist us."
Kelly: "Yeah, especially with our hot bodies." (tilts her head) "At least that's what we were told."
(The girls look at Elizabeth with apologetic faces)
Robin: "We're sorry."
Kelly: "We didn't mean to ditch you."
(Elizabeth shrugs before speaking)
Liz: "That's okay." (smirks) "That just means I get to think of a way to get my revenge on you two when you least expect it."
(The two ladies gulp nervously when they see the way their friend is looking at them. As much as they loved their friend, they were dreading what Elizabeth had in store for them. They attempt to change the subject)
Kelly: "So, did you still go to Jake's last night?"
Liz: (shrugs) "Yeah, I did. I had a few drinks."
Robin: (curiously) "Alone?"
Liz: (rolls her eyes) "Well, I would have had company..." (referring to them)
Kelly; "I mean, did anyone end up joining you?"
Robin: (smirking) "A tall, muscular man perhaps?"
Kelly: "A tall muscular man who has a killer body lots of men would die for?" (quickly) "Except for Nathan and Johnny of course."
Liz: (shrugs innocently) "Yeah, I saw him. We chatted and had a few drinks. Nothing special happened if that's what you're wondering."
Robin: (raises her eyebrows & smirks) "But you WANTED something to happen, didn't you?"
(Elizabeth sighs and looks up at the girls in slight annoyance, although it's clear she's not really annoyed)
Liz: "Nothing happened." (shrugs & shakes her head) "Not really."
(Kelly and Robin glance at each other before one folds their arms and the other narrows their eyes. They look at Elizabeth mysteriously)
Kelly: "Okay, Webber, spill."
Robin: "What happened between you and the hunk?"
(Elizabeth looks at the two women in shock with her mouth wide open. She knew they had a tendency to fish for information but how they were doing it, this was insane. Of course, she knew she shouldn't be surprised at anything they ever had to say)
Liz: (shakes her head) "Nothing happened...nothing really. We had a few drinks and opened up to each other a little about our lives." (smiles a little) "He seemed nice." (smile fades) "But it was obvious he hasn't had the best upbringing." (shakes her head) "Anyways, he asked me to dance."
(Robin and Kelly look at each other and form wicked smiles before facing Elizabeth once more)
Robin: "Okay, now this is getting good."
Kelly: "Did he caress your back with his sexy hands? Ooh, no wait, did he look at you with his dark, flirty eyes that would make almost any woman swoon?"
(Elizabeth looks at Kelly in shock as she leans over the counter to whisper)
Liz: "You are so bad."
Kelly: (smiles & smirks) "No, I just tell it like it is."
Robin: (laughs to Kelly) "You're hilarious."
Liz: (sighs) "Yes, we danced and yes he had his arms around my waist. That is how people dance. And of course I had my arms around his neck."
Robin: (glances up) "Oooh, I can almost picture it."
Kelly: (points at Liz) "I want front row seats on the next dance."
(Elizabeth shakes her head in response, but it's obvious she's a little bummed)
Liz: "There probably won't be another dance."
Kelly: (shrugs) "Why not?"
Liz: "I don't even know him, not really anyway. For all I know, he has forgotten about last night."
(The look on Elizabeth's face tells the ladies something more happened and they can't resist the urge)
Kelly: "So, what happened next?"
Liz: (puzzled) "Nothing."
Robin: "Come on, girl. It's obvious something did."
Liz: "Let's just say it ended up being a nice night. And no, I didn't sleep with him."
Robin: (smirks) "But you wanted to."
Liz: (defensively) "No. I don't even know him."
Kelly: "But it's obvious you want to get to know him."
(Elizabeth sighs and rolls her eyes before she goes to the computer to resume her paperwork. Kelly and Robin look at each other and smile wickedly)
Robin: "Our Elizabeth is finally meeting someone."
Kelly: "This is definitely getting good."
(Meanwhile, at the Zacchara residence, Johnny is at the piano playing a soft melody when he closes his eyes. His mind wanders to last night to his latest encounter with Elizabeth. He opens his eyes and can't help the smile that forms. She looked so beautiful and carefree. He could tell she was nervous about being around him, but the way she acted a little later, he knew she was more comfortable around him. He couldn't help but love the feeling of her body next to him when they were dancing. He had to control himself as his erection was getting hard from being so close to her. He didn't understand the feeling he got from being around her as he barely knew her, but it was like his heart was making all the decisions that he wasn't sure his mind could make at the time. Not only could he not get the thought of his body against hers out of his head, but when their lips touched it was like fireworks went off. He has never made that kind of a spur of the moment decision before regarding a woman, at least not in awhile, but he smiled happily as he remembered the feel of her lips against his. The taste of her strawberry lip gloss when their lips connected. It was such a great feeling having her in his arms and talking with her that he never wanted it to end, but unfortunately it had to as it got late)
(If he was honest with himself, he would admit he wanted to see where things went after that explosive kiss with Elizabeth. But for all he knew, it didn't mean as much to her as it did to him. He wanted to know her more. He wanted to know her passions on life, what she enjoyed doing, her interests. He didn't even know her last name or where she worked. He was tempted to find out those things, but didn't want her to think he was a stalker. His thoughts are quickly interrupted when he hears a familiar voice)
Anthony: (smiles) "Whoever has made you this happy son, I would like to personally thank them. It's been awhile since I've seen you smile this much."
(Johnny rolled his eyes in annoyance. He wished for once his father would stay the hell out of his personal life. It felt like every time Anthony 'helped' as he called it, all the women Johnny met turned against him because of Anthony's 'views' on life or because of his actions. Johnny did know deep down his father had a softer side but of course he didn't always show it. When push came to shove, Anthony showed his true colors and that's what pushed all of the ladies Johnny was interested in away. Sometimes Johnny wished Anthony would just get the hell out of his life and the business because he tended to cause trouble. Johnny still had to figure out how to correct his father's mistake regarding the contract with Sonny Corinthos. He wasn't sure how to do that yet, but he had a few ideas. But he had to figure out if they would stick)
(Johnny shook his head at Anthony before getting off the bench in frustration)
Johnny: "Do you ever mind your own goddamned business?" (points at Anthony) "Oh, yeah, that's right. You never do. Maybe if you had your own fucking life you'd stay the hell out of mine."
(Anthony raises his hands and tilts his head apologetically)
Anthony: "Aw, John, you know I mean well. You're my son. I love you. Do I make mistakes? Yes. But I try to learn from them."
Johnny: (raises his eyebrows) "Oh, you mean like the mistake you made with Corinthos?" (scoffs & shakes his head) "Yeah, I don't know how the hell to fix that one. You did a real number there." (points at Anthony) "As for Georgie, the only one who ever really got me and understood me, you messed that up, too. Now, because of your interference and 'innocent' helping, she is in another state and wants nothing to do with me."
(Anthony thinks for a moment before waving his hand at his son and shakes his head)
Anthony: "She wasn't worthy of you, Johnny. If she truly was, she never would've left."
(Johnny looks at Anthony bitterly before reaching for a vase and smashing it on the ground before facing his father again)
Johnny: (shouting) "It was because of you that she fucking left in the first place! If you hadn't of interfered in my life like you always end up doing, she and I would still be together now! But you thought she was a threat to you and our business, which she wasn't! She loved me for me and accepted me! No one besides her ever has! And because of your fucking meddling, she wants nothing to do with me! That's what happens when you 'help' as you call it!"
(Anthony sighs deeply as he stares at Johnny. He knew his son was right, but he would never admit it. As much as he wanted his son to be happy, he felt in his heart Georgie Jones never would've made him happy. He knew the right woman would come along and take his son's breath away. Even though Johnny was pissed off, Anthony felt in his heart he would feel true happiness soon. Maybe when Johnny least expected it)
