Michelangelo Lovette walked, more like danced, into the large reflective office building that was his work place. As soon as the blond haired man entered the building he pulled the nearest person towards him, a young woman with short brown hair, and twirled her around to the beat of his music.

"Good morning Michelangelo" the woman laughed once she was released.

Everyone who worked in the building on a regular basis was used to Mikey and his antics. He gave a quick greeting in return and headed to the elevator.

He pressed the number of the floor he wanted and started dancing again as a new song began on his iPod. When he reached his floor he exited the elevator and made his way down the hall towards, as he dubbed it, the gadget room.

Mikey wasn't a field agent, though he wished everyday that he was, instead he ran errands such as grabbing coffee or lunch for those who didn't have time to go out and get it themselves. He also got to test the cool gadgets that the tech department developed for the agents. Testing the gadgets was as close to field work as his father would allow.

Mikey's father was overprotective of his only child and didn't want Mikey entering the dangerous line of work that he himself was in. As much as Mikey wanted to be out in the field fighting bad guys and saving lives he understood why his father didn't want him to become an agent. Though it didn't stop him from asking to join every chance he could.

His mother had been an agent as well and was on a team with his father and the man that was now head of the agency. Thirteen years ago the three of them had left on an assignment, only two came back. That night his father had lost his wife and Mikey had lost his mother.

Mikey bounced into the tech lab and looked around for a moment until he spotted the person he was looking for, "April!"

April looked over at Mikey, smiled and held her hand up in a one moment gesture. She was talking to a tall man with long red-brown hair that reminded Mikey of cherry coke. After several moments she left the man and walked over to Mikey.

"Hey Mikey how's it going?" She asked with a smile

"Pretty good. I got a call from dad this morning saying you had some new stuff that needed testing" he pull his earbuds off and wrapped them sloppily around his iPod before stuffing the device in his pocket, "so what do you got for me?"

"Actually Mikey we already finished up with the testing for today" she informed him sympathetically.

Mikey let his smile drop for a second before putting it back on, "fine but you owe me one April" he teased and pulled his iPod back out, "I'll go bug my dad. Catch you later!"

Once he was out of lab he put his music back on and went to the elevator. However instead of heading towards the top floor where his fathers office was located he decided to take a little detour to the dojo that was available to everyone.

The dojo was Mikey's favorite part of the building. Someone was always there and willing to chat with Mikey for a bit or let him use the equipment. Today Mikey was hoping to get some training in, if he could avoid his dad long enough.

Mikey walked into the changing room and went to his locker to grab a change of clothes to workout in.

He had been in the gym for a hour and a half going over a gymnastics routine he had performed when he was younger. He had long ago perfected it but because the routine was his mothers favorite he still practiced it.

Christian Lovette walked in when Mikey was half way through the routine. His son was very talented and would no doubt make a great field agent, the thought of his son as an agent had Christian smiling sadly. He was here to do the one thing he wanted least in the world, to ask his son to join the team Yoshi was putting together. The only reason Christian had agreed to Mikey being put on the team was because Yoshi's son Leonardo was on it and he was one of the top ranked agents of the FBI.

"Michelangelo! Son, I need to talk to you about something" he called his son over when he had finished his routine.

"Hey dad. I was gonna stop by your office once I was finished up" Mikey walked over to his father after grabbing a water bottle and a towel to wipe the sweat off his face, "What's up?"

"I am sure you are aware of the new team Director Hamato is putting together?" his father asked deciding to get straight to the point.

"Uh, yeah, I overheard some people talking about it. Why?" Mikey asked curiously.

"Well Hamato has asked me to consider letting you join-"

"No way! For real?! Dude this is so awesome! I get to be a field agent!" Mikey cut his father off and did a little happy dance.

"You will only be doing training for now. But yes, eventually you will be allowed out on field missions. I don't have to tell you how dangerous it is and to be careful out there, correct Michelangelo?" Mikey stopped dancing at his fathers serious tone.

"I know dad. I'll be super careful and not let anything happen to me or my teammates" Mikey assured his father and gave him a big hug before running off towards the shower and promised to see his dad later tonight for dinner.

Christian chuckled softly, he knew his son was going to be excited about finally getting to join the field agents, however his fears for his son were still there. He sighed and headed back to his office.

Mikey couldn't believe it. He was finally going to be a field agent! He had been begging his dad for ages to let him join a team and go on missions but every time his father would give him some reason as to why he couldn't join. He stopped midway to the showers and wondered what had convinced his father to change his mind.

Deciding to go ask, Mikey turned around and headed back out to the gym. However instead of his dad he found none other than Leonardo Hamato.

"Leo! Man, what's up?" Mikey greeted with a big smile.

"Oh, hello Mikey. I didn't think anyone else was using this part of the dojo" Leo said with a small smile.

"Nah, I just finished up and was about to shower but I forgot to ask my dad something. I was hoping he was still in here" He pouted at his dads absence but his usual smile was soon back, "So what's going on? We haven't talked in ages!" Mikey plopped down next to the man and joined in on the stretches.

"I've been busy with assignments lately" Leo smiled sheepishly, he knew of his friends desire to become an agent and tried not to talk about his own missions too much in fear of Mikey thinking he was bragging.

"How's all that going? Still working solo?" Mikey asked enthusiastically as he jumped to his feet and offered a hand to Leo.

"I was, but Splinter wants he to join a team" He pouted as he took the blonds outstretched hand.

"You're joining the new team? Seriously?" Mikeysx grin was so wide that Leo feared his friend would tear his face in half.

"Yeah, why?" Leo asked curiously.

"I just joined that team! Dude, this is so awesome! Who else do you think is going to be on the team? This is going to be so epic!" Mikey was bouncing around the room in his excitement and though Leo wanted nothing more than to not be on a team he was glad he would already be familiar with one of his teammates.

"Are you going to be joining me in my katas today?" Leo asked as he watched the hyperactive young man.

"Nah but I wish. I have to go shower and see if they need me for anything before heading home and starting dinner. Maybe next time" He apologized and once again headed to the showers.

After he was all cleaned up he left the dojo area with a quick wave to Leo and went to check if anyone needed him for any reason. He spent the next hour and a half running little errands such as making copies of important documents or running out to grab coffee/dinner for people. When he was finally released for the night he made his way home and began preparations for dinner. That night his smile never left his face, even when his dad had to cancel dinner due to a sudden assignment he was needed on. Michelangelo Lovettte was finally going to be a field agent!
