Chapter 4: Team Crimson's Day 1
Hakurei Shrine- 09:22 PM, Light Rain, 8th Night of Spring
"Ok everyone, time to take roll call: Marisa Kirisame…" Reimu started
"Here, ze." Marisa answered.
"Alice Marigold." Reimu announced.
"Here, Reimu. Can I sit down now?" Alice whined as Reimu signaled her to sit down as Alice was on her feet since the beginning of the draft.
"Suika Ibuki." Reimu announced.
"Here! *Hic*" Suika replied with her head in the clouds thanks in part by a few drinks.
"Yuugi Hoshiguma." Reimu called out.
"Here, Reimu. I'm going to help Suika to bed, where are we sleeping at?" Yuugi answered and then asked as Reimu viewed the new improvements to the shrine. After about ten minutes of exploring, she had an answer.
"Everyone will sleep on the second floor. How you pick the rooms, I don't care. Reisen Udonge Inaba." Reimu answered and then announced as Reisen quietly raised her hand and headed inside.
"Patchouli Knowledge." Reimu called out.
"I'm here, Reimu. Are we going to have some tea tonight?" Patchy asked as Reimu nodded.
"Ran Yakumo." Reimu announced.
"Here, Miss Reimu." Ran quietly replied as she sat on the porch.
"Remilia Scarlet." Reimu announced as Remilia raised her hand and began to fly about, getting some exercise early before twilight.
"Yukari Yakumo." Reimu called out.
"Here, dear. I'm heading inside to sleep. Please wake me in the morning, Ran." Yukari answered as she walked inside.
"Yes, Miss Yukari." Ran confirmed as she continued to sit on the porch.
"Rin Kaenbyou." Reimu announced.
"Here, Miss Reimu! Woo, I'm tired… Miss Ran, may I sit next to you?" Orin answered as she lied down next to Ran.
"Hina Kagiyama." Reimu announced.
"Here, Miss Reimu." Hina answered as she got to the porch and sat next to Alice.
"Shou Toramaru." Reimu announced as Shou quietly raised her hand and sat down near the entrance.
"Utsuho Reiuji." Reimu announced as Orin pointed at an already sleeping Okuu. Reimu quietly smiled and continued with roll call.
"Fujiwara no Mokou." Reimu announced as Mokou raised her hand. She would go to the roof for a good look at the sky.
"Kaguya Houraisan." Reimu announced.
"Here, Reimu. I'm exhausted so I'll take my leave. I have the last room on the left. Udonge, please escort me to my quarters for the evening." Kaguya ordered as Udonge came from inside to escort her master to her room.
"Youmu Konpaku." Reimu announced as Youmu raised her hand and kept a cold stare at Udonge. For Youmu, in order for her to be at peace, she needed to talk to Udonge without getting angry.
"Nazrin." Reimu finished as Nazrin quickly joined Shou near the entrance. With everyone now accounted for, most of the guests went in and got situated with their new rooms. For at least a few hours, all would be quiet.
Hakurei Shrine- 12:44 AM, Clear, 8th Night of Spring
Reimu was up and about and didn't get to bed at all. For her, she needed to plan and get the team all on the same page. She walked downstairs only to be greeted by Marisa in her undergarments.
"Reimu, something is eating at you. I can tell, ze." Marisa commented as Reimu quietly smirked. Marisa knew Reimu like Reimu knew Marisa. For well over four years now, both Reimu and Marisa solved conflicts, saved lives, and even got new friends but never once did they not feel for each other like sisters.
"Marisa, what do you think about this team?" Reimu asked as Marisa looked away.
"I think Hijiri was a better pick than Youmu. Everyone could have understood why Youmu wasn't picked, but for you to put two enemies together in the same team, it's asking for trouble. I personally think that if we can get them to be at peace, then we should have no issues. You know what I mean?" Marisa explained as Reimu was awestruck. She never got a clear answer from Marisa. From experience, Marisa usually answered with a riddle.
"Well, I don't want to use our spellcards at all. I want to build a new spelldeck. But in order to do that, we need everyone to be on the same sheet of music." Reimu explained as Marisa was puzzled.
"Make a new spelldeck? Reimu, what are you plotting, ze?" Marisa asked as Reimu smiled.
"Think about it. What would happen if everyone contributed in each other's deck and then used their style of Danmaku with a new card? Think of the endless possibilities!" Reimu beamed as Marisa caught the jist of it.
"So, you're saying that if I offered my spellbrand, then if you use my spellcard, you can alter it?" Marisa inquired as Reimu nodded. Marisa was now curious.
"I can see that look in your face. You want to try it, don't ya?" Reimu asked as Marisa nodded eagerly.
"Well, go to Kourindou tomorrow. Here's all the money I ever received by coming here. Buy eighteen new spelldecks and then return as fast as you can." Reimu dictated as Marisa knew exactly what to do.
"The Kourindou's new location is near the mansion. Do you want me to use my broom or walk?" Marisa asked as Reimu gestured the broom.
"We have two days to practice and master this technique. If we can do it, then there's no way we can lose." Reimu cooed as Marisa went inside and got a blanket. She was going to sleep on the floor. Reimu didn't want to go upstairs either, so she shared the blanket with Marisa. The night ended on a quiet note.
"Night, Reimu." Marisa called out.
"Goodnight, Marisa. Don't wake me. As soon as you wake up, go." Reimu finished as they both went to sleep.
Hakurei Shrine- 08:33 AM, Partly Cloudy, 9th Day of Spring
Marisa was woken up by the light of the sun. Everyone was still out with the exception of Ran. If Marisa wanted to keep this a surprise till later, she needed to fly out the back. Marisa quickly and quietly got dressed in her Miko uniform and tiptoed to her broom. Her bare-feet made a creaking sound and that caught Ran's attention.
"Miss Marisa, going to run some errands?" Ran asked.
"Yes, Ran. Let me guess, you need something?" Marisa coyly commented.
"Yes, if you're heading to Kourindou, see if Rinnosuke has some "Fur Sheen". I need to get my tails straight and knowing Shou and Orin, I may have to share." Ran explained as Marisa put her hand out with a snide face. Ran gave her some Yen and Marisa was off.
(I wonder why Marisa is going to Kourindou this early in the morning.)
Kourindou- 11:12 AM, Partly Cloudy, 9th Day of Spring
Rinnosuke was opening the shop and Komachi was helping him with shelves when Marisa landed and parked her broom.
"Ah, Marisa, what brings you here today?" Rinnosuke asked as Marisa held a firm look.
"I need eighteen blank spelldecks and a bottle of Fur Sheen." Marisa ordered as Rinnosuke was confused and aroused at the same time.
"Well, the spelldecks I can provide, but why the Fur Sheen?" Rinnosuke inquired as Marisa gave him that "Don't Start" look. Rinnosuke wasn't about to test Marisa. He went to the back, got a bag and filled it with the items in question.
"Hey Marisa, how it is like staying with Reimu?" Komachi asked as Marisa shook her head and blew off the question.
"Here you go, eighteen spelldecks, blanks I presume and a bottle of Fur Sheen. Since you bought something once a week for a month, here's a free gift, a second bottle of Fur Sheen." Rinnosuke presented as Marisa was semi-pleased by this turn of events. As she flew off, Rinnosuke and Komachi was left to wonder why Marisa was strangely quiet.
(Reimu, I hope you know what you're doing here.)
Hakurei Shrine- 12:00 PM, Partly Cloudy, 9th Day of Spring
Everyone finally began to wake up from a stress free morning (though Ran was still up before them). Alice and Udonge still had their clothes on, but their hair was in chaos. Most of everyone else had either their night clothes on or their underwear on (in Yukari's case, she was pretty much naked and got a few complaints about that). With everyone hitting the bath and getting clean, they were greeted to a feast, made possible by Youmu (something she's used to).
"Wow, what a spread!" Suika drooled as Yuugi quickly snatched her shirt and pulled her from the turkey.
"No drooling on the food. We can eat in a minute." Yuugi commented as Suika couldn't wait to have a brunch.
"My, my, quite the spread. Yuyuko would be in heaven if she saw this. I'm almost glad she's with Sanae." Yukari added as everyone got what she was saying. Yuyuko was a very hungry ghost.
"Youmu, I'm rather impressed by the food. I may have Sakuya come to you for tips on how to "properly" prepare a turkey." Remilia praised as Youmu blushed and smiled. She wasn't used to having compliments from anyone other than Yuyuko.
"She even made salads and got fruits out. I'll have to remember this meal when it comes time to send out Christmas cards." Udonge commented as Youmu was pleased by the kind words from Udonge.
"Thank you all for the compliments. Please eat as today is my day to cook." Youmu announced as everyone chowed down. For a good hour, Reimu fought off the hungry teammates so Marisa would get some food upon return. About thirty minutes later, Marisa returned with items.
"Ok, here's what I got: Reimu got this bag and Ran, here's TWO bottles of Fur Sheen. I got one for free as a promotional from Rinnosuke." Marisa presented as both parties were impressed and pleased. Reimu stood up and got the attention of Team Crimson.
"Ok team, listen carefully: we're going up against some of the best that Gensokyo has to offer and last night, I came up with an idea. Instead of using our normal spellcards and spelldecks, what if we each used different cards from the rest of the team? Well, in this bag are eighteen spelldecks, each holding thirty-six cards." Reimu started as everyone quietly continued eating, trying to catch every word.
"Say that I use Remilia's power with my skill set. What would happen if that happen under "normal" circumstances?" Reimu asked as everyone was stumped.
"Answer: I would be able to use Remilia's knowledge and power to enhance my Danmaku and my technique. With this concept, I may be able to create a brand new style of Danmaku or Stance with it. Get what I'm saying?" Reimu explained as everyone was starting to get the idea.
"So, if I used Okuu's knowledge on nuclear Danmaku and Solar Attacks, can my dolls manifest that knowledge into a new power for us?" Alice asked as Reimu nodded. Everyone was now on the same page.
"Before we do this though, we will need to distribute the decks and then in order, we'll exchange spellbrands, one brand at a time." Reimu explained as Marisa handed out the spelldecks. As everyone got theirs, everyone was hesitant about this at first. But, before they would give out their spellbrands, Reimu stood up. As the cards were out near everyone's feet, the Hakurei Seal appeared on the first card.
"Looks like I'm up, ze." Marisa commented as a witch's hat with a star at the front showed up. It was Marisa's brand and she looked pleased by it.
"Well, if this will help us win, then I'll put my faith in it." Alice commented as she began her branding. Hers was the Shanghai Doll with a Grimoire. Marisa was curious about Alice's brand and was getting anxious to try out everyone's spell brand.
"Let me get this out of the way before I get wasted, *hic*." Suika commented as she started with her brand. Hers was the Gourd.
"I'm surprised that everyone is on the same page here. Looks like I'll have to join in." Yuugi coyly commented as she did her thing. Her brand was Old Hell's Sake.
"Well, this is going to be a bother. But, if it is for the team, then I'll allow the use of my knowledge." Patchouli sighed as she distributed her brand, the Locked Grimoire.
"I'll bite. I'm interested to see if my skill would be used in different ways." Udonge commented as her spellbrand, the Mystical Eyes was distributed.
"Something different you say? Well, I'm up for it." Ran commented as she distributed her spellbrand, the Sealed Portal.
"Looks like the spirit of this group is lifted quite high for this team, so let my power guide you to victory!" Remilia praised as she got to it with her spellbrand, the Crimson Bat.
"My, my, I have no choice. Heh." Yukari snidely commented as she got out her spellbrand, the Open Portal.
"Let's give Team Emerald hell then!" Orin cheered as she distributed her spellbrand, the Lantern of Old Hell.
"I've never felt something this, bright before. I don't want to get traded, ever." Hina smiled as she distributed her spellbrand, the Hina Doll.
"Hina, you're not going to get traded if you don't want to. Does anyone wish to be traded?" Reimu commented as no one raised their hands. They wanted to be part of her team.
"Then, we'll talk no more of trading. We're a team until the end of the games." Shou commented as she got to her distribution of her spellbrand, the Gold Pagoda.
"You took my line, but I'm glad that everyone is on the same page here." Reimu countered as the next girl stood up.
"Looks like we're going to fire everyone up!" Okuu pumped as she showed her spellbrand, the Nuclear Warning Sign.
"Speaking of fire, you can never go wrong with this kind of flame!" Mokou added as the Phoenix was distributed next.
"Let our enemies fall by our feet." Kaguya said as the Houraisan Elixir Bottle was next.
"My swords are at your service." Youmu pledged as she distributed her spellbrand, the Twin Konpaku Katana Set.
"Last but the least, let my brand assisted you as well." Nazrin finished as her spellbrand, the Dousing Sticks were added to everyone's deck.
"Well, with everyone now in these decks, everyone get one." Reimu instructed. Everyone got their spelldecks and began to inspect them. The deck box began to glow slightly and then changed to Team Crimson's emblem on one side. On the other side, each of them had their spellbrand imprinted. Everyone marveled at their decks, but none marveled more than Marisa, Alice, and Patchouli.
"Alice, are you up to take me on in a training match?" Marisa commented as Alice took a minute to grasp the situation.
"Look, in every Danmaku match I have ever had with you up to this point, I lost. Are you looking to add another notch to the win column or do you take pleasure in embarrassing me?" Alice quizzed as Marisa gave her a lost look. Marisa wasn't one to hide any emotions when it came to friends. Although Marisa did have an impressive win record against Alice, she did remember losing a couple of times to her.
No, to Marisa, this was her opportunity to try her luck with the spelldeck.
"Alice, I lost to you before. This isn't about embarrassing you. This is about trying out new things and becoming familiar with what we have, ze." Marisa rationalized as Alice saw her genuine smile.
"Ok, I'll go a round with you. But, before we start, can we have the others watch on? I would like to have their opinions on how we do." Alice asked as Marisa nodded.
"HEY EVERYONE! WE NEED YOU OUTSIDE AND WE NEED A REFEREE AS WELL!" Marisa shouted as everyone made their way down. The entire team made it outside near the porch as both Alice and Marisa walked to the opposite sides of the shrine garden.
"Marisa, I'll ref." Orin volunteered. Orin dashed to the center of the two girls with her modified dress from old hell. Her dress was a tad bit longer and she actually had shorts underneath her skirt. Alice wore her dress but did have her reds on. Marisa wore the Hakurei Shrine maiden dress proudly and everyone saw that. In Marisa's hands was her broom that she was never without. Alice had her Shanghai Doll with her all pimped out to mirror Alice.
"Marisa, are you ready?" Orin asked as Marisa nodded.
"Alice, are you ready?" Orin repeated as Alice nodded.
"Then, let's get it on!" Orin started as both girls drew their first spellcard.
"Spellcard: Kirisame Hidden Blade" Marisa called out as she didn't look any different. Alice pondered a second as she got her card.
"Spellcard: Curse of a Thousand Strands" Alice called out as her Shanghai Doll changed from her mirroring Alice to her having an ominous purple color. It was obvious that she drew Hina's spellcard.
"Scatter!" Alice called out as several cursed Shanghai dolls appeared and surrounded Alice.
(Ok, I need to first understand what I can and can't do with this spellcard active. It looks like Shanghai is currently enveloped in a purple aura. I bet if I can get the clones to hit Marisa, I can afflict her with various curses. The problem is that I don't know any of Hina's signature curses for this.)
Marisa stood motionless as Alice manipulated her spirit cords and directed them to attack Marisa. Marisa quickly saw the attack and evaded left and then dashed fast to Alice.
(Shit, she's fast.)
(Wow, Marisa is using my style? I never knew how focused she can be. I wonder what else she can do.)
(Nice Marisa. I expect nothing less from my number two girl.)
Marisa got behind Alice and quickly drew what would be, her "broom sword" and swung it hard. Alice barely saw a glimpse of the blade and rolled to her right to get out of the way of the blade. Marisa quickly sheathed the blade and jumped back.
(Ok, I think I got what this card can do. I can move faster on foot and my hand-eye coordination is improved. Also, it seems that my broom is my weapon. I'll need to stay away from those dolls though. I don't know what to expect.)
(Yikes, Marisa! I'll need to plan this out so that I can limit her mobility against me. I still need to understand these curses. Maybe if I use another card in conjunction with this.)
"Spellcard Addition!" Alice called out as she drew her next card. The rest of Team Crimson was impressed by how Alice quickly improved her Danmaku play.
"Spellcard Addition… What is that, Reimu?" Patchouli asked as Reimu sighed slightly.
"A Spellcard Addition is when you add on to the current spellcard without doing much changing to the stance. In Alice's case, I bet she has Hina's style. No one really has seen Hina in her Danmaku play except those on Team Emerald." Reimu started as Mokou intervened.
"Aya, Nitori, and Momoji are her friends. They're the only ones to see Hina's Danmaku Stance." Mokou added as Hina couldn't hide it any longer.
"Actually, only Nitori seen me in combat and that is only because I practice with her from time to time. Alice is trying to have a base curse in place, since she doesn't know any of my curses. Also, since she's using her Shanghai dolls, the curse potency is spread between her and the dolls. I wonder whose spellcard she based her curse off of." Hina finished as everyone else looked on.
Alice struck again and this time Marisa telegraphed it perfectly and performed her first attack.
"隠された剣スタイル、小惑星カッター (Hidden Sword Style, Asteroid Cutter)!"
Marisa sliced the air and Alice seen the wave of yellow energy heading her way. As the wave passed Alice, the boulder behind her was split in two. Everyone gasped and looked at Marisa. Reimu was especially shocked that Marisa's Danmaku strength was maintained.
(Holy shit! That attack is something, wow…)
(I see that my energy is maintained while using Youmu's spellcard.)
(I've never been able to do that in a Danmaku wave. I need to know how Marisa did that.)
(Whoa… One of those attacks and I'm finished. I need to strike now.)
Alice wasted no time and divided her dolls into two tri-formations. Three of them hung back and created a shield of sorts while the other ones attacked Marisa with lasers. Marisa grazed through them but was stopped almost instantly.
(What the fuck? Why did I stop?)
`"You're wondering why you can't move. Well, you're afflicted with the Gravity Curse." Alice explained as Marisa knew what card she added.
"Damn, it's my card!" Marisa figured as Alice laughed for a second.
"It looks like if you even graze this curse, you're paralyzed from the waist down." Alice continued as she prepped up to finish the match.
"Wow, Alice got the drop on Marisa." Remilia commented as Reimu knew better. Marisa not being able to move was the reason Alice had the advantage.
"I need to move!" Marisa grunted as she sheathed her weapon and got on her broom. As she took flight, she wasn't moving as fast anymore.
(Shit! My flight speed is affected by Youmu's card. She was never one for flight. So it trades ground speed for aerial speed. I bet her Danmaku in the air is also limited, unless I try this.)
Marisa redrew her sword from the broom and was able to gain momentum quickly.
(Found that secret. The blade slows my broom down. As long as I get airborne, I can adjust my speed by sheathing and unsheathing my sword. Alice, look out!)
"空中隠された剣:ギャラクシーが落ちる (Aerial Hidden Sword: Galaxy Falling)!"
Marisa slid off the broom and then slashed the air once more and a series of waves and stars came from the sword. Alice stood there and deflected the stars and dodged the waves. As Marisa fell hard on the granite, Alice (now exhausted from the evading and deflecting) fell to one knee.
"One more attack and either one of them is finished." Okuu observed as everyone knew that Alice and Marisa gave it everything they had. Reimu saw enough.
"Marisa, Alice, let's stop for now. You two did great." Reimu concluded as Alice help Marisa up. They smiled at each other as Alice dragged Marisa back to the porch. When they got back, they were applauded by the entire team. They sat down and were ready to hear critiques by everyone.
"I'm impressed by how you were able to find the weaknesses and strengths that these two spellcards had. Looks like you two proved my theory perfectly." Reimu commented as Marisa and Alice smiled.
"From what I saw from training, Alice seems to improvise better than Marisa though Marisa seems to have a lot of power behind her." Suika analyzed as now both of them were worried.
"You two seem to know what you're doing, but I think Alice is better suited for capitalizing against mistakes. Marisa is good for keeping pressure from start to finish. Also, Alice seems to analyze her cards and still keeps defense. Marisa goes from broke and finds the best possible use of her cards." Yuugi commented as Marisa nodded. Alice continued to listen as she decided to have Shanghai take some notes to review for later.
"I can't really say much, but I think they did great personally." Udonge commented. She was quite mystified by how those two went at each other…
"Well, for the two vice-captains, I've read better in books. Marisa, your swordplay was good, but you lack technique. Alice, you lack knowledge and that in turn left you vulnerable against Marisa. You both need to do better if you'll be any use to us." Patchouli scolded. That left most of the team a tad bit sour for her.
(Why would she say something like that? Patchy, I thought you were better than that.)
(Marisa isn't going to like this at all.)
(And this is coming from the sickly girl.)
"Well then, Magician, if you're so sure you could perform better, prove it." Marisa countered as Patchouli quickly darted her eyes to her.
"What do I have to prove to a novice like you?" Patchouli retorted
"Much since you don't know what to expect. All you've done today has been a big pain in the ass. I would love to see you try your luck." Marisa countered as Patchouli looked at Marisa with incredible hatred.
"Honestly, Patchouli has some truth. But at that same token, Alice, you manage to do things with very little effort at all. Marisa, you overcome handicaps very well. I just think that Patchouli is being a bit too critical at the moment." Ran commented as Yukari wanted a couple of words.
"Marisa and Alice did well, considering that Alice was working in the blind and Marisa was handicapped halfway in. Patchouli, I don't think you have the skill to pull off what they did." Yukari boasted as Patchouli blushed.
"What makes you think that I'm that weak?" Patchouli countered.
"You were concerned about how they used the spellcard. They displayed the potential that you can integrate two totally different philosophies into one power. If you would take your head out of your ass, you might have seen that." Yukari answered with a sense of distaste coming from her. Remilia (who remained silent up to this point) decided to speak up.
"Though I understand where you are coming from Yukari, I'm not one to let Patchy get badmouthed. So, can we keep Patchy out of the conversation before I have to get involved, personally?" Remilia calmly requested as Yukari nodded and ended that thought. Patchouli knew when Remilia stepped in to defend her, Patchouli quickly quieted herself and observed.
"Marisa, you are so, so, impulsive! That is something I can't get behind. Now that I said that, I will commend you for how you handled getting handicapped by Alice's late fight curse. Alice, I would have you as a partner if the opportunity wills it. You plan well in advance before the first card is drawn." Ran commented as Marisa and Alice both nodded.
"I rather like how Marisa overwhelmed Alice early with great sword technique and her power behind each swing, breathtaking!" Orin commented as Alice lowered her head a bit.
"Well, seeing my spellcard firsthand, I would like to impart some advice as well as critique on this battle.
Alice, you did excellent in learning how to use the curse aspect of my spellbrand. I think because of the spiritual strings you have with your dolls contributed to not spinning like I would. Also, I love how you supplemented Marisa's card and used it as a curse once you found a base. That said, you did fantastic and I wouldn't mind teaching you a bit more for future encounters." Hina explained as everyone applauded Alice and even Alice smiled a bit. She wasn't used to the compliments that received.
"I'll be the first to admit it; Alice is a pest, but she's a great tactician with her dolls and spellcards. I consider her my equal. Alice, good moves and I hope that this level of tactics continue from you as you're a vice-captain." Marisa praised as Alice got teary a bit and was smiling with tears running down her cheek.
"Marisa, I thought your swordsmanship with your broom was sublime. I simply love how you displayed yourself as a power-hitter." Orin commented.
"I wish I could do half of the things these two did. Maybe I can get a lesson or three, for future reference of course." Shou nervously commented as the girls smirked and nodded.
"Wow, if that is what to expect, I'll have to step up myself as well." Okuu commented.
"I can't wait to see my power in action. I don't care who use it, I want to see different people use my power to win events!" Mokou beamed as Kaguya smiled a tad.
"Well, I wouldn't mind seeing my power being put to good use as well. As for this match, I love how Alice used her knowledge of Marisa to get the best results to halt the relentless attack from Marisa. I would like to know how did you feel having your movement halted, Marisa?" Kaguya quizzed as Marisa shook her head with disbelief.
"It sucked ass. I'm still feeling it now." Marisa snidely answered as Alice giggled a tad.
"Sorry Marisa, but I had to train as I fight. You taught me that much." Alice smiled as Marisa couldn't help but to pout a tad.
"Whoa, I think I'm in heaven. Miss Shou, do you think we can do a tag team battle tonight?" Nazrin asked as Shou jolted up and spilled some tea on Ran. Ran jumped in response and dropped her rice on Yukari.
"SORRY MISTRESS! I'll clean this up!" Ran scrambled as Reimu got her some towels and helped her clean the porch and Yukari at the same time. Yukari was laughing, on an account that she was looking for a good time and she wasn't disappointed so far.
"Nazrin, I don't think anyone would want to train with us." Shou commented, again very nervously. But against contrary, everyone looked at her with targeting eyes as to say, "Fresh Meat". Reimu stepped in to calm the bloodlust from the others.
"Team, for tonight's training critique, Nazrin and Shou will face Udonge and Patchouli. I hope you all show your best because this time tomorrow, one or more of us will face off against someone from Team Emerald Bitch." Reimu shuttered as the rest laughed.
"I…I… accept this challenge. Miss Knowledge, please assist me as we're a team tonight." Udonge commented as Patchouli held a sour look.
"I guess I can help, but don't do anything that would put you at risk. Care to get to know one another before the session?" Patchouli asked as Udonge didn't mind and nodded to show her willingness to understand Patchouli.
Chapter End
Author Notes:
Sorry for the block. Kids and work has gotten the better of me, but now that I can dedicate more time to do this one, I think I can do this. Expect every two weeks or less that a new chapter comes out, provided that nothing stops me from doing so.
