(5/11/14) Halo's Note:
Her-a-derp. :P You may have just stumbled onto an Author's Note chapter. Welcome. *robotic voice* We are pleased to have you join us. Hey, all. This is haloangel21 speaking for IceGirl2772.
Now, this is a very important Author's Note, so please read and try to understand. IceGirl and I don't know if many of you have noticed an update in a long while, but I have had a lot of stuff happening to me such as college and all. While I was excited to co-write with her, college helped fill my time and I had just graduated from high school after the last update, so originally, I had the script written out for chapter 4, but with college and getting accepted into The Art Institute of Portland (in my lovely home of Oregon) going on, I just didn't have the time to.
Many of you expected us to write further into the fanfic with IceGirl's OC Talida Prime, and since this is clearly not an update on the story itself, hear us out. We had big plans for this fanfic. It's just that we've been busy and all. I had my interests in other stories, and I can say the same on the behalf of Ice. ^^ Some of you may have noticed that I started a co-written story with my friend CyberKia and I am putting my sweat and tears into it much more than I ever did on this fic. While this was fun, time ran out.
So here we go. Onto the bigger part of the news. IceGirl2772 and I have talked over some things regarding this fanfic and where it will take off in the future. And since we've been busy, neither of us just don't have the motivation to continue this fic. Overall, what I'm really saying is, this story is now discontinued. To some of you that were looking forward to future chapters, sorry ^^;
But that isn't all we talked about. While this story is discontinued on our parts, this fanfic is up for adoption and free to be continued, as long as you (MUST) have IceGirl's permission to use her OC, Talida Prime. Ask her and you shall receive an answer politely. ^^ Okay?
So, that's it, ladies and gentlemen. A Different Beginning is finished. I know it was short and sweet, but let's face it. With all that's going on for IceGirl - she had to put her cat down :'( - and I with school… which will probably be the last term for me for good, it was never going to get updated.
It's been a pleasure in writing this short term fanfic and I hope you all had a good time reading ^^

Basically what halo said. We are very sorry to have to do this. But we feel it wouldn't be fair on you guys as the readers to leave you waiting for an update that was going to never come.
As halo said, this story is up for adoption. If you want to take over, send me a private message. But since it features one of my OCs, you have to ask permission first. Considering I've had my stories and ideas stolen a few times in the past (I'm looking at the people who stole my idea for Rising Darkness), I'm a little bit thingy about this. If you ask, I will more than likely say yes. Just please make sure you ask.
If you want help, let me know. But as halo said, we are both busy. We both have our schooling educations. Yes. I had to put Charlie down in November as he had been suffering from pancreatitis (I was the one who had to make the decision as well) and I now have a cute six-month-old Russian Blue x Ragdoll kitten named Buster to look after. Also, I am a member of the student leadership team at my school so I also have those responsibilities. Readers of my other stories, this is why I have been slow with my updates.
We're sorry to have to do this. But we both feel that this is the only way to be fair to everyone.
It's been a pleasure writing this for you all. We don't want to give up the story. But we have lost the motivation to write this. We want it to keep going. So please. Message me if you want to adopt this.
