Honey baby sits hiro one day because aunt cas and tadashi are bussy at the cafe but gogo comes and visits tadashi because she needs some tools and is when she sees honey she forgets what she even went their for and just asks tadashi who she is"

Fair Warning

Honey was in the middle of some just-for-fun experiments when her phone rang. She enjoyed her ringtone for a moment (one her favourite songs—Queen Dot Kong by the Do), before actually answering. "Honey speaking!"

"Hey, Honey Lemon. It's Tadashi."

"Hey! What's up?" She continued to fiddle around with her chemicals and propped the phone between her head and shoulder.

"Any chance you're not busy at the moment? I could use some help."

Honey smiled as the compound before her turned a rich shade of purple. "What can I help you with? As long as it doesn't involve mutating Fred into something, I'm willing."

"My aunt has to run out to pick something up and I can't watch my brother. Any chance you'd be willing to tolerate a ten year old?"

"Sure! Is there anything specific he likes?"

"He's twelve. So… cartoon violence? But he's also pretty smart."

"Got it! Be there soon."

Gogo grumbled to herself as she reached the café. She had forgotten a certain tool of hers had broken and dismantled her bike… only to realize she needed said tool to change what she needed to. So she had walked the ten or so blocks to where one of her few friends lived.

The Lucky Cat Café was a great place to relax. But that wasn't why Gogo was there.

"Hey, Tadashi," she called as he came into view almost as soon as she entered.

He looked up from where he had just handed a customer their order. "Hey, Gogo! What's up?"

She raised an eyebrow as she looked him up and down. "Are you wearing an apron?"

He shrugged and started moving behind the counter, in the process of making another drink. "I'm running the café while Aunt Cass is out." Her eyes followed him as he picked up the drink he had just made, bringing it to a table closer to the front of the restaurant.

"Whatever. I came over to ask if I could borrow-" her eyes stopped following him when they caught on a brightly clad figure towards the side of the café. "Who's that?"

"Who's who?"

"Over there with your brother. Who is that." She tried not to stare, but there was an absolutely beautiful woman seated within sight.

Tadashi glanced over, a small smirk on his face. "Oh, that's my friend Honey Lemon. She's watching Hiro for me until Aunt Cass gets back."

"How the hell did you get a goddess to watch your little brother?" Gogo asked with a tone of disbelief.

A chuckle left Tadashi. "I didn't think she was your type."

"My type is pretty and she's... wow."

"I can introduce you. She goes to college with us. And she'll be taking the empty space in the lab soon."

Gogo's head seemed to snap around to look at Tadashi. "She will?"

Tadashi nodded, his smirk turning into a grin. "C'mon. Come say hi."

She followed him over to the table, suddenly nervous. "What's her major?"

"Why don't you ask her?"

Half a moment later, the two of them stood beside the table where Hiro and Honey Lemon sat. "Hey, Honey Lemon. I wanted you to meet a friend of mine. She's got a place in the lab too."

Honey's face lit up. "Nice to meet you! I'm Honey Lemon." She held her hand out to Gogo. Gogo shook it. Wow, her accent is adorable.

"Hey. I'm Gogo." She gave Honey a semi-nervous smile. Glancing over at Hiro, she ruffled his hair. "Hey, kid."

He pushed her hand away but grinned. "Hi, Gogo." His attention was still focused on what was on the table between him and Honey Lemon.

Tadashi cut in. "I've got a café to run. You three have fun."

"So whatcha playing?" Gogo asked, examining what seemed to be a chess board with holographic pieces.

"Wizard's Chess!" Honey Lemon exclaimed in excitement. "I brought it over when Tadashi asked me to watch Hiro."

"And I'm going to win," Hiro announced before commanding his knight.

Honey Lemon watched the move before grinning. "That's what you think." She ordered a piece of hers forward. With no mercy, Hiro's night was struck down, crumbling to pieces before them all.

"Whoa. Graphic."

Honey Lemon looked over at Gogo. "You've never heard of Wizard's Chess?"

"I read the books it was in, but that was years ago."

"Wanna play winner?" Hiro asked. "I bet I can beat you."

Honey Lemon grinned. "I thought you asked her if she wanted to play the winner?" she asked good-naturedly.

"Sure, why not?" Gogo chuckled.

Ten minutes later, after some light banter, Honey Lemon declared "Checkmate!"

Hiro groaned and let his head fall forward, right through the holo-pieces. "No fair." He sighed. "My poor king…"

"Sorry, Hiro. Maybe next time?"

Hiro turned to Gogo with determination in his eyes. "Avenge me, Gogo. Restore my honour!"

Gogo rolled her eyes. "Oh, woman up. And move over." She grabbed the back of his chair and moved him away, allowing her to pull her chair to the opposite side of Honey's.

Honey tapped a few buttons and the holograms disappeared, only to reappear in their original places. She looked up at Gogo. "Ready?"

"Bring it."

An hour later, they were both staring at the board. "I… don't think I have any legal moves left," Honey admitted.

"Uhm, what if you…" Hiro started, only to cut himself off. "No, that's not right…"

"I think it's a draw." Gogo raised an eyebrow, examining the pieces again. "Yeah. It's a draw."

Honey's expression perked up. "Oh. Well. Good game, Gogo!"

"You too, Honey Lemon."

Hiro made a face. "And thus my honour remains out of reach."

"Whatever, Zuko."

He raised an eyebrow. "Who's that?"

Gogo sighed, but was kept from replying when Honey Lemon spoke up. "I got the reference!"

A smile appeared on Gogo's lips, but once again, someone else spoke before she could. "Hey, Hiro." It was Tadashi. He didn't have his apron on anymore and had changed shirts. "Aunt Cass is back. She said we can catch that new movie, uh, what was it… The Avengers one? If you want." He glanced at his friends. "You two can come along, if you'd like."

"I've seen it," came the simultaneous reply from both Honey Lemon and Gogo. The glanced over at each other and Honey gave her a grin.

Tadashi chuckled. "Well, Hiro, what about it? Bro's night out?"

Hiro rolled his eyes. "Sure."

Tadashi returned his attention to his lab mates. "It was nice seeing you two. Lab on Monday?"

"Yeah," Gogo spoke up. "I've got some new parts for my bike. The lab is as good a place as any."

Honey Lemon nodded. "I'm moving most of my equipment in tomorrow."

Tadashi parted with a smile, Hiro in tow. "See you there!"

And Gogo and Honey Lemon were left alone. They talked for a long while about just about everything. Their majors were one of the first subjects of discussion. Honey's roots came up, as did Gogo's. The talk wandered, only pausing when Aunt Cass brought tea over. After, Honey introduced Gogo to a youtube series.

Finally, as the sun began to set, Gogo began to excuse herself. "It's getting kind of dark," she pointed out. She stood and stuck her hands in her pockets. "I should start walking. It was great meeting you, Honey Lemon."

Honey tilted her head. "You walked here?"

"Ah, yeah. I actually came to borrow a tool from Ta… Tadashi. Which I'm only just remembering now. So my bike is in pieces at home right now." Guess I'm walking to school tomorrow morning. Gross.

"I can give you a ride," chirped Honey Lemon. Her cheeks filled with some colour. "A ride home. That way you don't have to walk."

"That'd actually be really cool. Thanks."

Honey stood. "It's no problem," she giggled.

Once on their way in Honey's car (which was ancient and falling apart—Gogo made a mental note to help), Gogo spoke up. "Gonna need any help getting your equipment into the lab tomorrow?"

Honey smiled—Gogo was sure she was always smiling—and winked. "If that help is you, yes please."

Gogo let out a half nervous, half hopeful chuckle. "I'll be there."

"I can pick you up in the morning."

"Uh, yeah, okay."

They arrived at Gogo's place a moment later. "Thanks for the ride. And I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Definitely! It was amazing meeting you, Gogo!" With a grin and another wink, she was gone.

As Gogo headed inside, she shot Tadashi a text. "Next time warn me that there's a goddess in the café, okay?"
