"Where am I? Who are you all?" Riley stood there, hands balled into fists.
"We are the Bakugan Resistance. We're fighting to save the bakugan that have been captured. My name is Dan Kuso." Dan said.
She eyed Dan, her hands calmed, but her face didn't budge.
"You know we'll talk about this later. I'll get her cleaned up." Mira said.
"No." It was one of those commands that you obey, her voice was smooth yet had a warning vide that was made known to the ears.
The room went silent. I took this chance to observe her. Her orange, chestnut hair was loose; it cascaded down to her mid-back. She had a piece of hair that graced itself over her left eye. She had swept the hair to the side and that's when I saw them. Her eyes were green. Not just any green I've seen, but a really bright green that also seemed dark. I'll get a better look later. Her body was skinny. Her skin glowed a healthy tan, it wasn't brown, but it wasn't still completely white. She was wearing a black jacket that covered the bandages I had wrapped not too long ago, with a purpletank top and along the sides was that striped pattern we all wore on our clothing. She also wore black shorts and black boots that reached to below her knees. She seemed to be average height, but the boots must have added another inch or two. I then turned my face away from her to keep from starring.
Riley's POV
~Moments before~
"Riley we need to talk." Griffin said sitting on the bed. 'Good… he's ok. They didn't take him too.'
"Griffin! You're okay! Yes of course, but first I need to know what happened to us and why we're here." I touched the cloth on my shoulder before searching the room for an exit.
"All I know is that these people helped us. Maybe we should tell them about-"
"I'm not going to tell complete strangers everything about me!" I interrupted still shuffling through the space.
"Well they don't have to be. Plus, they want to free the bakugan! That means they're on our side! We can trust them, Riley stop and listen to me!" Griffin said. I stopped in my place. "Please reconsider." I looked out the window and gave a small nod. I took my bakugan and found a door that lead into a hallway. My steps were wide and slow. It wasn't hard to tell that there were multiple people down the hall based on the way they were arguing. 'Might as well make an entrance.'
"Where am I? Who are you all?" I stood in front of the group with my lips pressed into a line and my eyes moving to each person in the room.
"We are the Bakugan Resistance. We're fighting to save the bakugan that have been captured. My name is Dan Kuso." A guy with brown hair spoke up.
'What do you know, there are some sane people in this messed up situation, but I don't need help.'
"You know we'll talk about this later. I'll get her cleaned up." She was walking towards me.
"No." I'm warning them.
"Riley." Griffin made his present known as he appeared from behind my shoulder. "Just hear them out!" I know what he wants me to stay, but I won't do it. Then the same guy who wouldn't look at me made his way towards me.
"I want some answers." 'Great, now they expect me to trust them all. Not happening There is only one way to deal with this.'
"I'll tell you your answers," They all took a breath of relief, "only if you can beat me in a brawl." I said putting my purple gauntlet on, narrowing my eyes at him. Although he is very easy on the eyes, I don't need distractions. Everyone looked surprised and panicked again. "Did you really think I'd tell you everything you want to know without a price?" 'They watch too many movies', "Now, who is the strongest among you all?"
"I am" Dan spoke, "but, are you sure you want to take me on? I mean you were beaten by Volt." 'Cocky are we?'
"You don't know the half of what was happening." I fired back. 'Volt beat me because I let him, idiot.'
"Alright then, let's battle!" Dan said stepping outside, "If I win; you tell us what we want to know. If you win; you can leave and we won't ask you anything. Agreed?"
"Agreed." I replied. 'All right! All I have to do is win. This won't take long.' A smirk made its way onto my face.
