Artemis's pov

I was sitting at my desk in the study when I heard a knock at the door. I sighed and closed my book before getting up and walking over to the door. At the door I unlocked it then opened it to see Butler at the door. "Will you be joining us for dinner or is your work to much right now?" He asked looking into my eyes.

I chuckled softly. "I have been having meals with everyone all the time since Holly has been here. If I try to eat in the study she just comes in with you and stays to chat. Juliet does as well sometimes with her. So I will be joining but can you be sure to make up an extra seat. I have a guest I need to introduce to everyone." Butler seems a little surprised at this but he hides it right away.

"As you wish, Artemis." He turned around walked down the hall to the stairs. I watched him for a moment before I finally closed the door and sighed. I looked into the room and Erebus was laying on the couch without a care in the world asleep.

I walked over to him and slammed my fist into his stomach hard. It got him up and made him start to cough up some blood. "God damnit, Artemis… What the fucking hell was that for?!" He glared at me as he healed himself. "Have you finally lost your mind?"

"No. But this seems to be the only way I can get you up anymore. We are finally going to let them in on the secret. We will see where their loyalties lie. Plus it will make it a lot easier to move around without having to keep them in the dark." He still glared at me as I talked but slowly his face turned from anger to a little shock to finally he was grinning at the end. "This is a judgement day I guess. Either they are with us or against us."

"So we are finally going to phase 3 it seems. Grand. It has been so boring with you always ignoring me." He said before he got up and changed his clothes with a thought. The suit that he normally wears transforms into his suit that he made his first day in the world. "We should not keep them waiting, Arty." He opened the door and held it open for me. "After you. You will be explaining this. I just want to sit back and watch all the fun that is about to happen."

We walked to the dining room. As we got closer I heard Holly asking if either of Butler or Juliet knew who was this mystery guest is. But of course neither of them know anything at all. I walked into the room first. They all looked at me. "Speak of the devil…" Holly said and they all laughed and after a second I joined in as well. "So where is this mystery guest?" I looked behind me but he no longer was there.

"It seems he wants me to explain first before you see him." I took my seat as they watched me. I sighed softly before I started talking, "As you all know I have been over the last few months after you all brought me back from the dead. Well the reason behind that is because while I was gone I somehow collected a small amount of Arcane Magic and a massive untapped knowledge long forgotten. Older than Opal's little Dark Magic. One month after I came back I started to hear him. At first it was only a few words a day but soon he started to talk to me through all my thoughts. Eventually I heard him out and learned what his plan for this world is. It is…"

"...The total and complete destruction on all of the technology that humanity has created and to crush all the worthless people on this world. And under it if they get in our way." Erebus finished as he phased into existence right in front of Holly and right beside me. "And to do that Artemis and I have been forming many solutions to this plan. And one of them is me." He smiled at each of their shocked and scared faces. "Hello. It is nice to finally meet you face to face. We have already met many times before though. Right, Arty? My name is Erebus. I am an Arcane creation that should have never been able to be created. I am the true darkness in Artemis's mind."

They all looked at me and Erebus many times as I just continued to eat. Finally after a moment Holly nearly yelled while pointing at Erebus, "This has got to be a trick right? There is no way that this could happen. I know the stories of you. Only special fairies can do this type of magic and not be driven to the point of killing themselves. Artemis is a…" She stopped suddenly and looked at me quickly a lot of emotions going across her eyes. But I saw one more than others. Pure Terror. "W-what a-are you? What the hell are you really!?" She whispered the first part to barely a whisper but the last part she screamed at me as she slammed her hand down on the oak table hard.

They all looked at me some with scared eyes other's with terrified ones and one with dull red eyes. I started to laughed. "Might as well say the truth. As of now I am a human-fairy hybrid." I smiled at her as Erebus got up and stood beside my chair. "But these questions are not why I have finally brought out Erebus. The reason is that my… no our plan is finally entering the finally phases. I am asking which side you will stand by. You are either with me or against me." I picked up my cup and sipped the Earl Grey tea before watching everyone's reactions. "And before you say your alliances you might want to listen to my plans. Understood?"

They nodded their heads. Butler spoke after a moment, "Are you sure he is not controlling you Artemis? It seems only after he showed up did you start to act even more distance." He watched Erebus as he laid his arms and head on top of my head. "He just seems way too different from you. How do you know he will not kill you as soon as he has what he wants?"

Erebus answered, "That is simple Butler if Artemis dies I die. And if I die he dies. Our lives are intertwined now. A down side of me coming out of Artemis's mind. But oh well." They all looked at us shocked. "Don't look so surprised. This is arcane magic. What did you expect from it? There is always a downfall for such an amazing power. But that is not the only downside. But I will keep that hidden for now." He smiled a smile that scared them even more. I have seen it before. It is like my own just so much darker somehow.

"Now down to business. The one goal of this plan is very simple. I want to protect this Earth. But I want to go much more above what I have done in the past to help it. And the only way to truly protect this world. Is to either create a spell that Erebus came across that would destroy pollution, waste, and anything else that would harm the earth forever. But It comes at a terrible price. All magic will be gone if it happens. Every last bit of it from all beings with magic. And it will make Erebus die. Which in turn will kill me." I looked at them as they just stared at me shocked at how calmly I am taking about what could become my end. "The second is a little less terrible for the fairies and magical beings much worse for the humans. it is a complete and total extermination of the human race one by one, city by city, country by country. But as you must be aware. We may be very powerful but we are not immortal. We can die just like anyone else. And if one goes so does the other. that is why we will ask you all this one question…"

Erebus finished, "Will you join in the cause of protecting the word through magic or fear? Your choice now will influence Artemis's. I personally choose fear. It is the best for us. I rather not die so soon after life. But if that plan is what he wants we will do it. If it does happen. It has been an honor to meet you face to face." He almost sounded human with that. I looked at my friends as they fought inside their heads as to what they will do.

Juliet was the first to speak. "Well I would rather like to be here for much longer than a few months. So I want to choose for using all the magic to make the world much better place. Although all that work just to have you die again Artemis. But then again if that happens those below lose all of their way of life. They will become so much like us." She said looking troubled by that last part of her sentence. "Without their magic they would be able to make a war and tear us to pieces… Humanity or fairies will die if that happens. But if all the humans die then the fairies will have the earth and everyone we ever knew would be gone. This decision is impossible, Artemis."

"I choose to kill humanity." Butler said bluntly. "All we do is destroy. We try to help but we try to help by 1% after destroying 10%. It is just sickening. And Yes I know what that would mean. I would die too. But oh well. We are going to destroy ourselves anyway. Might as well make it happen sooner rather than later." Holly and Juliet looked at him shocked at just how calmly he said that. I could feel Erebus's happiness radiating from the link we share.

"That is not true my friend. You and your family will live so will the very few people that try to help the world. I plan to wipe the scum from this world. 99% of humanity will die. Only the truly good ones be the last standing." I said as I drank the last of my tea. Erebus poured me another glass as I looked at Holly. "Now what will be your choice be, Holly?"

"It is true that I would love to see my kind on the surface again but at such a terrible price... I choose to give up my magic. All of it. We may be able to have peace at last. There is always a chance. But to lose my best friend again…"

I could see thee true sadness in her's, Juliet's, and even Butler's faces. "My, my. Such a troubling little problem we have come to." We sat at the table for a few hours as each side tried to make reason with the other. I listened to both sides as they argued, yelled and even screamed. "I have made my decision. I will…"
