Chapter Three

The sun is at its zenith, playing softly with two naked bodies on the bed, while Morpheus is capturing their dreams. They fell asleep unwillingly just as the first beam of the sun entered the room, making their hearts beat as one and eventually leading them to the mysterious forest of pure happiness.

A figure. An unknown figure slided carefully to the room. An unexpected witness of beauty, of all-surviving love crossed the space between them in seek of something pleasant. Closer...closer...closer to the sacred couch. It was enough - a few light steps and ... * aw uck, aw uck, aw uck!* .

"Bloody bird!"

A sound of a hungry seagull circling under the sea has filled the room, so that an unsatisfied visitor was forced to leave immediately. The door was shut with such an awful noise which instantly had woken up the sleepers.

"What did you say?" Steven smiled up at his lover, laughing.

Brendan grinned, leaning back against the pillow lazily. "Nothing special, after spending two weeks in complete absence of mind of where we are, I suppose rather yes than no that I said 'bloody' in me sleep. I think you wouldn't mind, because that was for the first time...as we got together properly." Brendan smiled and looped his fingers around the boy's wrist. "Only hoped you'd get much sleep today and that cruel bird spoilt everything. Such a bad treatment in this house, especially in the higher rooms. Nobody lives up here you see." He laughed. "At least we were given a room with a decent amount of privacy." He breathed, leaning down to plant a light kiss on Steven's shoulder. "and so here we are."

Steven rolled his eyes, before pulling himself down on top of him. He didn't need to ask quite why Brendan was so keen for them to treasure every minute of their intimacy. He was eager even more, though always have been. " Were you dreaming of me?"

"Yes. I always do, you are my main obsession, the living nightmare." He whispered. " Even though sometimes I can't understand how we'd gone so far."

Steven laughed softly and kissed the corner of his mouth. "You didn't actually think I was going to let go of you that easily, did you?"

"It crossed my mind." Brendan replied, interlacing their fingers. He shouldn't have said that, he knew. Isn't such a good liar, never was.

"Don't you ever think that, don't you ever doubt us!" Steven scowled and recoiled away from Brendan's outstretched hand. "After everything we've been through, how could you say that, uh?"

Brendan rubbed his jaw affectionately. "You are incredible."

"Bren...I asked ... how did you..." He couldn't finish the sentence off as other man closed the gap between them, kissing him desperately.

After a few moments, that seemed to be an eternity, they parted. "I'm sorry Steven." Brendan started, unable to bear the tension between them any longer. "I shouldn't have said that."

"I know" Steven breathed, savouring the way Brendan was rubbing circles against his back. "I shouldn't have gone all crazy about it, it's all the matter of past." Steven mumbled squeezing his hand.

"Shall we just forget about it? Not ever discuss it any more?"

"Alright." Steven whispered back.

The room felt silent for a half an hour. Once, Steven only shifted a bit uncomfortably, keeping to his side of the bed, not coming lie close to him. He seemed to be so distracted by my sooth touches to the delicate skin of his neck. I've hurt him so many times, reminding myself each time we'd grown closer. But now we've overcome this, eventually found a peace in each others arms. We've been through so many tough things, still he believes in me. We are free to be together. Partly an audible I love you's came out of me mouth.

Brendan curled up on his side and focused on driffting to sleep, hoping that Steven's state of mood will get better. It usually does. He was too exhausted to talk of anything. If anyone asked him now to pronounce his own last name, he'd definitely say them where to go. He hasn't had much of sleep for the past two weeks in regard to his lovers request. He did fight an urge not to wrap his arms around him and kiss him until he was sure Steven was no longer mad at him. Deliberately he decided to give him some personal space because he knew his inner 16 year old better. He needed to calm down before he let him in again.

Brendan already was about to lost in his dreams as he heard Steven moved closer to him, sliding his careful hands around his waist and burying his face in his neck.

"I want you to know that no matter what I'm always by your side, it never was that important as it is now, I want you to believe me, believe in us" Steven whispered.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Brendan asked sleepily, kissing his sweet hair and pulling him closer, delighted when the boy wrapped his arms even more tightly around his chest and pressed himself against him. After that, he has no intention of letting him go.

Steven hesitated for a half of minute but then to his relief he nodded. "Yes, but not now."

Brendan grinned. "Thought so." And moved his own hands down to the small of Steven's back. "Couldn't resist me?" he laughed, shifting to lean down and press a kiss to his collarbone, then another one to his tanned chest making a path down to his hipbone.

"You're such a tease." Steven moaned, as Brendan bit the inner side of his thigh.

"Not particularly," Brendan admitted. "But if you say so." Smiling sheepishly he leant back down to kiss him slowly on both of his tender and rosy cheeks, than went down to his temple and at last to taste his sweet and full lips, leaving the boy underneath him sigh.

"I'm mad for you." he whispered against Steven's ear, biting gently on the earlobe.

Steven smirked and shifted underneath his lover slightly, nudged one of Brendan's legs in between his own.

The deeper they went, the tighter they grasped one another. Steven's eyes never were leaving the blue ones as his legs tightly were wrapped around Brendan's hips. Small glances that they've shared could tell great story of their affections that they bear towards each other. Brendan was impatient, though pressing soft kisses to every part of Steven's body he could reach and tracing patterns against Steven's skin with his fingertips until he was crying out his name.

"I love you..." Steven moved his arms, clasping Brendan close to him. He spoke once, into his ear, sounding half-mad "I love you feverishly, the thought of being apart from you pains me - you are always with me...- we are bonded." As they were kissing solemnly, Brendan could taste the salt of his lovers tears. It was so sweet. He couldn't help but trace a thumb along Steven's cheek, smiling tenderly.

They moved together as if their souls were dancing, were dwelling one to another. They were together physically and emotionally and didn't part even when both of them were spent and Brendan held him close, humming a sweet melody into his ear.

The sound of the sea with its splashing waves, surrounding them as they lay, pressing their foreheads together still in a great need of each other.

"You've taken everything - my heart, my body and my soul. There is nothing left of me, just you... Among the all stars on the sky, thou are my the brightest one." Brendan kissed Steven's hair, before tugging the covers back.
