"Hey, Sleepy head, wake up" I heard Spyro's positive sounding voice, I awoke to a bright sunny, blue morning, I looked over to Spyro, and he was smiling, as he sat next to me.
"It's a beautiful morning, doncha think?" Spyro asked, as he looked up at the sky. I looked up and replied with "Yeah, it's quite nice" A warm breeze came over and Spyro embraced it and said "Well, I'm gonna put these wings to good use, I've finally learned how to fly without the need of magic, but if I don't keep using them they'll get weak, and I'll have to use magic again to fly" John rubbed his eyes, and stood to his feet, and gave an expression as if he was confused. Spyro noticed this "Dragons like me are very depenent on magic,
it's what keeps us going, but we can learn to live without it, once we practice enough, it's kinda hard to explain" John became surprised "Well, magic, and talking dragons, kind of makes sense,
I guess" said John. Spyro began to compose himself and replied with "Yep" He stretched his legs and his wings, and leaned back into the ground "I'll go into more detail about it later John, but for now" Spyro lept up into the air, and hovered with his wings "It's time for some flying!" He swooped towards John, "Wait? What?!" Exclaimed John.
Spyro opened up his claws, and grabbed John by his shoulders, and they both left into the air. "What the?! Spyro?!" Cried out John. "Don't worry, I won't drop you,
I'm quite strong you know" Spyro said proudly.

Spyro and John were flying through the air, John was slightly pannicked, and Spyro could feel tension in John's muscles through his shoulders. "Relax John, you're safe.
I thought that this would be nice for you" John tried his best to relax and enjoy the warm wind breezing through his hair, he looked down and saw how pretty the home land was,
all he can see was green rolling hills, and the odd tree or two. Spyro felt that John was not as tense as he was before and asked "There ya go, now, what do you think?"
John peered up to Spyro "About what?" He asked in a dopey way. Spyro chuckled "About the flight?" and John replied "Oh, sorry, I was in my own world for a moment there.
Yes, it's quite pretty up here, and the breeze feels great, Spyro" "Good" Spyro replied.

They were both still in the air, and John's stomach began to rumble, and he felt a little dry in his throat. "Aww, are you hungry John?" Spyro asked, and John felt a little embarrased "Urm, yeah" he said sheepishly, Spyro giggled. "Don't be embarrased, we all get hungry, I'll find ya somethin' to eat" there was a pause for a moment and John said "And a little thirsty too" Spyro began to look around, "It's okay pal, I'll find something for you" Just then, he noticed a lake down below and thought 'Great, a spot for a drink'
He began to slow down for the lake and thought 'Don't really know what I'm gonna do for food though, maybe I should ask Elora, or maybe the Professor back at the castle'
The lake was coming in closer, and Spyro began to hover down, he gently plopped John onto the ground, John did not get his footing and stumbled over, Spyro landed perfectly and laughed "You okay pal? I guess you're not used to the landing down part huh?" Spyro said sarcastically, and John quickly replied with "Well it's not everyday that I get to fly with a talking dragon" as he got back to his feet.

Spyro casually walked over to the lake, and lowered his head to the side of the lake, and took a few slurps, and gasped "Oh, that's much better, one thing I know about flying,
is that it makes you very thirsty afterwards" He peered over at John "Are you coming over for a drink? I thought you were thirsty" Spyro asked, and John said "Well, I don't mean to sound rude, but that's not normally how I drink" Spyro sat down and titled his head to try and understand what John was going on about. John smiled, and walked up to Spyro,
and sat down in front of him. "I normally drink from a cup" John said. "A cup?" Spyro asked innocently. John chuckled a little "Yeah, I assume you don't know what that is?" Spyro replied "No, not really, sorry" John looked out at the lake, and it was still. "Well since I'm so thirsty, it can't hurt I suppose" John walked closer to the lake, and knelt down, and cupped his hands together,
Spyro walked over and watched curiously. John let the water go into his hands, and he quickly lifted his hands up and slurped the water out of them, he done this a few times, and then splashed the water into his face, and sighed "Very refreshing, I must admit" He turned to Spyro, and Spyro looked a little guilty. "What's the matter, Spyro?" John asked. Spyro sighed and said "Maybe I'm not good enough to look after you John, I don't even know how to give you water the way you humans have it" John cut Spyro off "Don't be silly Spyro, you're the only reason why I'm still alive, and if you were to leave me,
I'd have nothing to live for, since I know I've got such a great, delicate friend like you with me" Spyro smiled, and said "I'll try to learn how you like to live, maybe, we could head back to the castle, and I can get advice from the Professor, since he's done lots of research about your kind" John replied "Okay, but I can try and explain it to you-but then again, I might just confuse you even more considering that you don't even know what a cup is" John facepalmed and giggled. Spyro looked ahead across the lake and noticed a fish jumping out from the surface. "But first, I need to get you something to eat" Spyro lifted up into the air, and flew out to the lake as John watched in wonder, he clutched onto his stomach as it began to rumble.
