Disclaimer: If I owned SLoD, Cailey would have never broken up, neither would have Zaya :)
Chapter Four: Confessing and Letting Down Easy
suitefic23, yeah...I know Cody is rude to Bailey...a lot...but this is after the break up they had in Paris. And the actual episodes that toke place after that until the 'Twisters'. They were both hateful towards each other. I mean for us who watched "The Play's The Thing." feel bad for both Cody and Bailey, and a little freaked out with Cole being in that dress, every though that was he second time in one (That I know of) my att ...(I loved it when they had moments though) But yeah, Cody soon comes to his senses. But when? And if you see the fanfics on youtube, Cody is basically hateful, but comes to his senses.
"So...You and this Cody were close, huh?" Ryan asked Bailey as they walked to the Sky Deck.
"Yeah...I can't believe I wasted a year with him...And now I'm spending the rest of my life with his kid." Bailey replied, showing a small smile.
"Well, you don't have to..." he said as he sat down at one of the juice bar stools, "I mean, there's adoption, or abortion."
Bailey glared at him, "This child is also part of me. If I'm going to carry it around for nine months, I'm going to be there the rest of the years."
"Well, then cross abortion out. You can do visitation adaption. You can visit the kid when the adoptive family says it's okay."
"How would you feel if you're mother and father did that to you? I'm keeping the kid."
"Whatever...I'm trying to help." Ryan said as he turned away from her.
"Help? You were trying to help me? Oh please Ryan, I'm a big girl! I don't need help deciding what I do with my kid! And why are you trying to decide for me? You're not the father."
Ryan rolled his eyes, "But the father isn't helping you know is he?"
"Well are you helping your ex girlfriend with her kid? I don't think so."
"Look, I want to father my kid, but guess what? She found another guy, so I forgot about her..."
Bailey sighed, she thought Ryan was different, but he ended up being more of a pain than what Cody is.
Taylor came skipping along, "Bailey! I've been looking everywhere for you! Mom just called to inform us that she and dad are coming aboard when the ship docks in California!"
"Really!? I can't wait!" Bailey exclaimed as she got up from the stool, "I hope Cody does pop up when they're here. Daddy will kill him."
"I don't know...I mean you and Cody both decided you were ready...But maybe dad will kill him since he's not being responsible for what he did..." Taylor's shoulders slumped, "I hate it when men don't take responsibility for the things they do..."
"Same here. Men have it easy in life. They don't have to worry about how others think of them, they don't go through pregnancy, they don't bleed for a five days and live."
Ryan's face scrunch up, "Too much information."
"It's true. Guys have it easy." Taylor said ignoring Ryan. "Why don't we go to the Aqua Lounge. I'm pretty sure the others are there anyways."
"I'd love too." Bailey said as she and her sister locked arms and heading towards the lounge.
"Can I come?" Ryan called.
Taylor stopped, "Sure...I don't care..."
*Aqua Lounge*
"So, you're parents are coming aboard when we dock in Callie?" Zack asked.
"Yup. So make sure Cody is not around." Taylor replied, "We don't want him around to harass Bailey."
"What do you mean by 'harass'." Maya asked.
"Bothering, being rude, talking like how he owns the boat."
"He does not own this boat!" London banged her fist on the table, "My daddy does!"
"We know! You're father owns everything on this boat." Ryan said, resting his chin in his palm.
"He doesn't own everything. Equipment, stores, rooms, etc. Yes, but not literally everything." Bailey listed.
"Yeah, like your and Taylor's nasty farm stuff!" London said.
"Hey!" both sisters said in unison.
"No, you guys don't have any hay...Do you?"
Taylor slapped her palm against her face while Bailey just shook her head, "No, London there's no hay in our rooms."
Taylor rubbed her forehead, "While except our hay bracelets. But those are itchy."
"Wonder why." Cody said as he sat next to his brother.
"What are you doing here?" Bailey asked.
"Well, Barbara is turning in early, so I thought, 'Why not hang with my friends?'. So what are we talking about?"
"Hay." Addison piped.
"Hay...Sounds, nice. So what about it?"
"Horses, cows, llamas, bison, camels, elephants, and many other animals eat it." Taylor said.
"Yeah...They do...So Ryan, how do you like Seven Seas so far?"
"It's good, but once we dock in California, I'm dropping out."
"Why?" Woody asked with a mouth full.
"Cause I'm going to try and get my girl back."
Cody laughed, "As if she is going to go back to you. She is probably dating a lifeguard or something."
"Shut up. She is not like that. She realize she loves me, not the other guy."
"Or she doesn't love you...I mean she's the one who broke your heart and threw it over the Eiffel Tower in one of the most romantic cities in the world, on your one year anniversary." Cody said looking at Bailey.
Taylor laid her head into her palm, "Do we really have to have this conversation again?" she raised up, "Look, you both broke up with each other. You both hurt each other. Now it's either move on, or make up. I mean this is getting annoying."
"Why should I? I was trying to do something nice. Only to see my girlfriend make out with another guy!"
"We did not kiss!" Bailey defended.
"Enough! God I swear you to are two-year-olds! Cody, you're the only guy I know who'll run a dry date. I mean you seriously could have practiced the date in your cabin, or with a doll, or even a stuffed animal? And Bailey, you're the only girl I know who didn't confront her boyfriend. Must girls would march right up and be all over his grill. Grill meaning the practiced date, not anything your dirty minds took ya to."
"It's not my fault I wanted everything to be perfect for the girl I love! I didn't want anything to go wrong...I've waited a long time for her to be my girlfriend...I wanted it to be special. Magical. Romantic...Instead it became cursed and hateful..." Cody sniffle and wiped his eyes, "Look, Bailey...Barbara's only for me to get over you...And if we call it quits, I won't be as hurt as I was that night...I know I've been a jerk to all of you lately, I'm sorry...But we all make mistakes...I've made the biggest out of all of us...That dry date was stupid, me refusing to listen to Bailey, lying that I'll be there for you and our kid...Bailey, I-"
"Save it Cody...You can't just do that to me, being hateful one day, and now you're being sweet...I'm not a toy, I'm a human being...And if you still want to start coming to the appointments, that's fine. But I'm not ready to start a relationship with you again, not now anyways...To be honest, I'm not ready to be anything more as friends with anyone...I don't have any feelings for Ryan either, he still loves his ex girlfriend..."
"He is not the only one, Bailey...I still love you..."
"You can't just dumb Barbara and go straight for me...You need to let her down easy, but I won't do that if I were you, at least not until the one I love is ready to love again..." Bailey said as she got up, "Now if you don't mind, my hormones are getting the best of me...I'll be in my cabin, crying...Maybe with a tub of ice cream..." she said, tears already falling down her cheeks.
Boy it killed Cody to see her hurting, Zack could read the look on his brother's face.
"Bad time to tell her, huh?" Zack quietly asked.
Cody sighed, still watching Bailey leave. "Paris all over again." he said under his breathe. He stood up and left, leaving the others, confused and shocked.
"Well I think it's time to hit the hay..." Maya said, breaking the silence.
"Yeah..." the others said following suit.
