Fate Dystopia
Einzbern Ambition
'Our perspective deceives us if we only focus one of our senses'
Freemont finally carried out the final phase of the plan that the oldest members of Einzbern family had demanded of him. He waited this moment with patience, Freemont wanted to demonstrate to them that it was not a simple experiment of his genes; he was a member of the Einzbern and all of them had to accept it as such.
The family had protected itself from the outside world. Although Freemont was oblivious to what was happening outside, but he was aware of reports that the Einzbern sent them. Thanks to that, he was able to analyze the situation and created strategies to face the war in the best possible way.
He was in basement of the mansion. Nervous and restless, he approached the stairs.
'You girl, low down immediately!' Freemont exclaimed.
She approached the stairs and came down slowly. That girl was one of weapons used by Einzbern family for generations. Iris had stood out above others homunculi during the selection process and now, it would be used as a vulgar vessel for the Holy Grail.
'Take a step forward.' Freemont said with contempt, while pointing towards the invocation circle.
'Yes, Mr. Freemont,' Iris answered.
Through wars, the Einzbern experimented with the homunculi. Some were brainwashed and made to believe that the goal of the Holy Grail was for their own benefit. Others were raised as members of the family, inculcating values and inciting them to participate in order to maintain the hegemony of Einzbern lineage, and others were isolated from all communication with the outside world except with the mentors assigned by the family.
All of them had failed. He detested them, each and every one of them. Freemont was aware that the solution was not in trying something that had already failed before. And that the only way for Homunculi to not fail was through strict discipline. And he had raised her like that.
But, he also knew that if he followed that same line to the letter, he would end up collapsing the Homunculus. That is why he occupied Minna, the Homunculus who gave life to Iris as a reward for her performance. It allowed him to see her "mother" as long as he fulfilled the objectives that he imposed on her every day.
He looked at the summoning circle and then looked at Iris. It seemed that everything was ready. Freemont placed the object that would be used as a nexus on the altar. They found the garment in ruins of Hungary; it was the Heroic Spirit that according to the old members of the Einzbern, would make them win the Holy Grail.
Iris recited the words to invoke the Servant. The invocation circle began to glow, then took shape and density shining throughout the room.
Suddenly the light disappeared. A woman, dressed in a long coat similar to that of a queen from an old European country, was standing in front of them inside the invocation circle. The woman had dark red hair, with a beautiful face that even surprised Freemont.
'You are my Master?' The Servant asked, looking at Iris.
'Yes, I am your Master, Elizabeth,' Iris answered. 'What kind are you?'
'Caster'
Iris turned to the other side, looking at Freemont. She held up his hand and pointed it out.
'What are you doing?!' Freemont asked, uncomfortable at Iris gesture.
'Caster, there you have food.'
The Servant smiled, slowly approaching Freemont.
'Stay away!' He shouted, desperate to see that he had lost control of her. 'It was that damned mute bitch that poisoned your mind!'
'Do not talk like that about my mother!' Iris shouted furiously.
The albino woman, with white hair and red eyes, similar to Iris but of average height; she went down the stairs of the mansion, staring at Freemont. It was Minna, the Homunculus that had contaminated Iris's mind.
'Minna!' Freemont said in surprise, staring at the albino woman. 'It was my stupid brother who put those things in your head. It is not like this?! And then you poisoned the Homunculus with all those stupidities.'
Minna was silent.
'Caster, take Mr. Freemont to the prison. In that place we will put the seeds of mana' Iris smiled.
'Seeds.' Freemont panicked at the true intentions of the homunculus he had created. 'Do not!' He shouted in anguish. Freemont took a small bottle from his pocket, uncovered it, and tossed it into the air. 'Leben Gegenstand Ozelot!'
The liquid spread through the air becoming white lines, these fell to the ground causing a noise similar to the chains. Lines began to dance to each other, increasing their speed and accumulating rapidly one on top of the other, until creating the shape of a tiger.
The tiger made of those lines approached slowly, surrounding Caster. The Servant watched Freemont and she ignored the magical attack.
'If you ignore the attack, you're probably going to die, you arrogant woman,' Freemont said.
The tiger attacked Caster, bit his arm and with his claws, tore his skin, blood shot out staining the floor and part of the stairs of the main hall. Freemont began to laugh when he saw that the Servant was being easily defeated.
'I never thought that Servants were so weak, do you call yourselves Heroic Spirits? Today's contemporary magic is more complex and stronger.' Freemont smiled as he watched as the tiger formed by the liquid shattered his rival.
'Caster, what are you doing?!' Iris asked, bewildered at the violent attack, her Servant was being shattered before her eyes.
'Is this the only thing you can do?' Caster asked stoically, making no sign of pain as the tiger tore at his skin and shattered her body.
Freemont was surprised at Servant attitude, frowned and fixed his gaze on Caster. She was being torn apart, dismembered by his violent attack, but her voice did not seem affected by it. How is it possible? Her body is almost totally destroyed; she should already be dead. He thought.
'Zu erhöhen!' Freemont said.
The beast increased its frenzy. Freemont threw more liquid on the creature and it grew in size.
'Sometimes, the reality you see with your eyes can be deceptive,' Caster said.
Freemont frowned, the Servant arrogant voice alerting him even more.
The bite completely destroyed Caster arm, tearing it from his body, the blood once again staining the walls and the floor of the mansion, soon the attack concentrated on her face, the claws disfigured it.
But Freemont noticed that something was not right, Iris's smile did not match what was happening. Worried, the violence increased in his attack, destroying even more the battered body of the Servant, part of the blood fell staining the face of Iris while she continued smiling.
'I am destroying your Servant and you are still smiling.' Freemont clenched his fists furiously. 'When I am done with this, Minna will be next and I will do it in front of your damn presence and take that disgusting smile out of your mouth. You have destroyed this valuable opportunity for the Einzbern family, miserable inferior Homunculus!'
Freemont felt cold fingers touch his neck, traveled a small stretch from bottom to top of his neck. He tried to react but something prevented him from moving his body, he was paralyzed.
'Our perspective deceives us if we only focus one of our senses' Caster approached her mouth towards the neck of Freemont. 'You look delicious.'
A drop of cold sweat ran down Freemont's forehead. The figure of Caster who was attacking vanished in an instant, becoming a dark red liquid, this liquid hissed in order to reach Caster.
The tiger retreated, ran very fast until approaching Freemont. Caster raised his arm and extended the palm of his hand, while with the other hand he continued to stroke Freemont chin. A circle of ritual appeared in front of the tiger and it crashed into him causing a loud metallic noise, the tiger managed to open a small gap. Caster closed the palm of his hand and that circle enveloped the tiger tightly, squeezing it completely.
A strong sound, similar to glass when it falls to the ground and breaks into fragments; it was heard throughout the room. The circle of the ritual vanished and the liquid of what was once the tiger fell to the ground, staining the feet of Caster and Freemont.
'Impossible!' Said Freemont, seeing his possibility of survival vanish.
Caster licked his neck, her tongue tracing from the lower neck to the chin. Freemont closed his eyes and gritted his teeth. Caster opened her mouth and her teeth rested on his skin, exerted pressure until she bit him.
Fremont let out a muffled, silent scream. Caster licked some of the blood that escaped his neck. His legs did not hold, Freemont's knees landed on the ground, he held the rest of his body until the resistance failed him, and he fell to the ground banging his head against the floor.
'It is not necessary to create a ritual to connection for his mana' Caster approached Iris. 'As long as I can bite them, I will create a connection in all of them to absorb their mana.'
Freemont could not believe that his plan had failed so soon. He never thought that the Homunculus could communicate with her even though he had cut out his tongue, but Minna had found a way to do it. If only, I would not have allowed her to see it, this would never have happened.
'We'll get more food for you, and we provision them in the mansion, Caster,' Iris said, a smile on her face.
'Yes, Master' Caster returned the smile.
Within his agony, Freemont watched as Iris walked towards her "mother", the face of the Homunculus outlined happiness while Minna smiled.
'Mom.' Said Iris. Minna contemplated her in silence, smiling.
