Dates and Prunes

(So, I'm just gonna upload these last three chapters like now because I know that you guys are ready to see the end.)

Once Nick had run off like an idiot, Mark chased after him. Jordan and I decided against doing the same, because when I looked at the map, I saw that the horse-drawn streetcars were right there, in front of the gates. Luckily, we'd gotten fast-passes, so the wait wasn't too long. We got on the ride and just as he had done last night, he slipped his arm around my shoulders. I knew that my feelings had developed for him a little while ago, but were his just now forming? I pushed those thoughts out of my head and then proceeded to rest the aforementioned on his shoulder. He didn't seem to object, so we just sat like that the rest of the ride.

When we stepped off, the guys still weren't anywhere in sight. Jordan suggested Splash Mountain, and I agreed willingly. Also we assumed they'd be there. So that was an added bonus. While we walked towards Splash Mountain, which was probably a 20 minute walk from where we were, Jordan began to speak. He started off kind of awkwardly, with his hand on his neck.

"Y'know, back there, that was um... that was nice." I nodded.

"Yeah, that was nice." Jordan continued with the entire adorable nervous-awkward thing, so I looked over at him to let him know that I wanted to know more.

"Would you... uh... like to go on a date with me? I mean, you don't have to if you don't want to... We could go just as friends... I mean..." I cut off the adorable nervous Jordan with a simple,

"I'd love to." After I replied in the positive, he relaxed a whole lot more. He seemed as if a 100 ton barbell had been lifted off of his chest. I didn't blame him. I'd probably feel the same way if I'd just asked someone on a date. Then it hit me. Jordan had said something about 'just friends'. So that clearly meant that what I'd assumed earlier was true. I nearly yelled with excitement. But I knew I needed to hold it in. For now. I could let all the pent up excitement on Splash Mountain. That would be a great cover.

After the day was through, and I'd let out my screams of excitement on Splash Mountain, we returned back to Jordan's apartment, where Nick and Mark began packing up. I was honestly kind of sad to see them go. I'd really gotten attached to them being there. As they stood at the door, ready to go, I hugged them both.

"Jesus, I'm gonna miss you guys. I can't wait until y'all visit again." They smiled at me and Nick spoke.

"Yeah, it was really nice to meet you and stuff," Jordan said his goodbyes; and when they'd picked up their luggage and were halfway out the door, Nick turned back and said "Have fun on your obvious date tonight. Just don't have too much fun! Byeeeee!" And with that, the door shut and I was bright red. I turned to face Jordan who was also bright red.

"Did you tell him?" He shook his head furiously. I turned to look at the now closed door. How exactly had he known then? Was it that obvious? Nah, it couldn't be, could it?
