There was a thud in her chest, loud enough for even Inuyasha's ears to twitch as he looked to the. She would've glared but the pain seemed to hit her like Naraku had ripped her heart straight out of her bleeding chest. Her breathing grew shallow and short as she pulled the blanket away and clawed at the bandages like a rabid wolf.

"Stop that." Inuyasha growled as he grabbed her hand to restrain her. Her own growls grew more feral as she continued to pull away at the bandages.

"Damn it Akemi!"

"Don't touch me!" She snapped, red eyes having turned more demonic as she glared at him. He simply returned the glare back as she continued to rip away the bandages. Once removed the gapping hole in her chest was now replaced with a squirming spider shaped scar. The pain intensified as Akemi's own claws attempted to attack the thing moving on her chest.

Naraku's curse taking hold fully as the scar finally settled into that of a flat patch of skin. Akemi's eyes going hollow as the pain finally took hold and took her from the waking world for a moment.
"I don't want her dead Inuyasha. I do want her back."

"Like hell Naraku!" His scent filled the air along with the oh so familiar scent of miasma.

"She's mine Inuyasha, you can't change that." The dog half demon was gone before the sentence was finished, Akemi laying lip in his arms her breathing just as shallow. There was only one person he knew that was strong enough to figure out what the hell was going on with the rat of a wolf demon he was carrying. And Akemi wasn't going to like it at all.

Akemi growled, glaring at Inuyasha in an annoyed way, more of a childish way than anything. His assumption had been correct when he knew she wasn't going to like his idea. The best way to go about it was to simply do it without speaking a word of his idea.

"She won't be going near me!"

"And if she can fix this?" Inuyasha growled stubbornly as he held up his own sword simply to protect himself. Not like he was scared of a rat of a wolf demon, let a lone a half wolf demon.

"She's not touching me! She should be dead!" His ears twitched, he almost growled a bit.

"Well she's not, so get over it!" She looked at him, he hadn't changed. Even though she had done the one less bad thing to him than death he still loved her. She should've known. The one person who he thought cared for him was still around, so why would his feelings change. She laughed and shook her head.

"I'll survive on my own from here. Thank you." Just as she was ready to turn her back and leave she found herself stuck in his grip from behind, his nose buried into her hair as her heart quickened. And just then as her heart quickened the pain tightened in her chest. The scar squirmed tightening around her own beating heart.

"Damn…" Her thoughts fluttered as she grabbed his hand and pulled herself unwillingly away from his grip. She wished she didn't have to, but if she didn't he was going to break his own promise.

"She can't help this Inuyasha, Naraku has to die. It is the only way this will get fixed." Her own eyes avoided his as she stepped away but he was stubborn.

"Then we'll just have to kill him won't we?" There was something on his face, something she had never witnessed. A smile on his lips.
