OK, I just really wanted to get this over with. And please, reread the story if you haven't already. I hope that when I add the next chapter that you will reread so you know what is going on. Again.
Chapter 4:
After my talk with Kayla, I wandered around the town for a while. No one seemed to recognize me. Good, I didn't want that. I was so glad that no one really knew me before I left.
I felt as if I was being watched. I spun around. Nothing. I could feel the weight of my bracelet on my wrist as if it weighed a few pounds. I looked around, narrowing my eyes.
I continued on my route in peace, for the most part.
"Boo." I heard a very familiar voice say. I smiled. I spun around into Apollo's arms. He laughed. "Miss me or something?" I laughed.
"Only a lot," I said looking up at him. He smiled. He bent down and kissed me. He kissed up my jaw line and nibbled on my earlobe, my weakness. I moaned slightly and pulled myself closer to him. He loved it clearly. I am not telling you why.
"Don't worry. I missed you too. And my dad was on my case for our relationship. Again." He said rolling his eyes. I laughed. Zeus didn't like that we were dating. He didn't like how close we were getting.
"Don't worry about him. He has had years to get used to it, and if he can't then I don't care." I said. Sure he was the King of the Gods, but I didn't like how he was always on Apollo's case about something or other.
"We'll find a way to make this work, I promise," He said. I loved how he always came up with a plan.
He smiled. "That's because I am the best at what I do." I punched his arm. "Ow, OK OK, you're the best," He said laughing.
"That's better." I smiled. "I love you."
"I love you too."
"Hey, you wanna hear a haiku I've been working on?" Apollo asked. I rolled my eyes.
"Not right now. But I know that you will keep it in that big head of yours. He laughed.
I loved his laugh. We made our way to the school. I needed to sign up. I walked into the main office. It looked exactly as I remembered it. Small, but warm.
"Hello, my name is MacKenzie Austin. I just moved here, and with school coming up..." I let my words trail off.
"Of course, and what's your name young man?" The receptionist asked. Apollo smiled.
"I am Fred Conner." I smiled at this small inside joke. Not the Conner part, but his first name. We were handed two applications on clipboards. They were pretty straight forward so I didn't mind filling them out.
Once we were done, we handed them back in. "Alright, I will call you when your schedules are complete," She said with a smile.
Once we left the school, Apollo and I wondered around for a little while. I saw Jessica and Mike at the only park in Forks. They looked happy with each other. How long will that last?
Once I got to the Cullens, Alice instantly opened the door. She wrapped her thin, but very strong arms around me.
"It is so good to see you again," She said.
"Let me guess, you knew that I was coming even before I got here and that's why Edward knew it was me, huh?" She nodded. I shouldn't be surprised. Alice is able to see into the future, so with every decision that is made concerning the people she is naturally attuned to, she is able to see the outcome.
But hey, the future isn't set in stone, right?
"And I see you brought a little friend. He smells really good, like even better than you," She said, giving Apollo a once over.
"Yeah, this is Apollo, the god of the sun and all that biz," I said. Her eyes instantly glassed over, and I knew she was seeing into the future.
"Oh no..." She said. I bet that if she could cry, she would be right now.
"What's wrong?" Apollo asked. Alice looked at me. She didn't answer. Apollo asked again. Again she didn't say anything.
She stared at me. "Someday you'll understand, but I can't tell you right now," She told me. I gave her a confused look, before looking to Apollo for guidance. His face was like stone. Hard, and showed no emotion.
I didn't know what was going on, but I needed to find out.
Apollo stayed for dinner, just for me, Bella, and him, and was introduced to the entire Cullen household. Jasper looked like he was in pain, not that I didn't blame him. Apollo smelled amazing to vamps.
And Apollo just kept staring him down because he knew that if Jasper when after him, Jasper would lose in a heartbeat.
After dinner, I went up to where my room would be. It was right next to Edwards. Bella was staying with him since Kayla was staying with Charlie.
I fell asleep with a smile knowing that I was going to help on of my best friends.
Running, I was running. I called his name, but he was too far away to hear me.
I called again, pushing my legs faster, but it was no use, the faster I tried to run the slower I went.
Tears stung my eyes. I didn't know why I wasn't moving forward.
My body ached. I called his name at the top of my lungs.
"JACOB!"
I shot straight up in bed in a cold sheen of sweat. It's time's like this that I was glad that I was connected to Bella because Edward couldn't read my mind either.
Well there you have it, I am FINALLY done updating this story. I hope that you all love it, so be sure to reread it again by the next chapter comes out.
