What's this?! A new chapter less than a week after the old one?! The world. is ending.

Wow, since I posted Chapter 3, this fic has suddenly shot up in my story stats. XD I don't know why that chapter prompted so many hits, but eh well, it's nice, I guess. Of course, feedback is nice, too. :D OH! I forgot to mention last chapter, but I'm now pretty much sorter for requests! Seriously, I have like ten chapter's worth now, so at the moment I have plenty to get started on. I will try to do each one, but some might arrive sooner than others. It all depends on my inspiration, and obviously, I do have preference for some characters over others.

Enjoy!

Cordelia has always had a sisterly instinct in her, so when Sumia comes tripping into her life, it seems only natural that the two of them quickly become friends. Of course, when Sumia is first befriended by the effortlessly cool redhead, she can barely get out a sentence around her. Sumia is in awe of Cordelia, to put plainly, and can hardly believe that someone as self-assured and popular is her friend of sorts.

For her part, Cordelia feels both a mix of exasperation and fondness to Sumia. She is ashamed to admit it, but it is nice to have someone looking up to her. But Sumia's endless self-deprecation and clear lack of confidence strike Cordelia. Sumia's armour is often littered with petals from that silly, superstitious tradition she seems to cling onto with surprising tenacity. Cordelia wants to tell her that, like a flower, she has yet to bloom and her time is still coming but fretting endlessly over it will merely cause needless worry. Not that Cordelia, the perfectionist, is in much position to criticise.

"Cordelia!"

Sumia waves over her friend, a smile lighting up her face.

"Look, I've finally gotten her to start eating!"

The 'her' she speaks of is the Pegasus Sumia stumbled upon during their journey. Since then, Sumia has been coming and chatting with her about Pegasus care pretty much nonstop, but Cordelia is only too happy to share pointers. There's nothing quite like flying, whether it's by Pegasus, Wyvern or Griffin.

It is with the horses that both Cordelia and Sumia can truly be perfectly at peace, temporarily forgetting about the stress of the outside world as they brush manes; go out flying or even simply chatting in the stables. Sumia has a natural bond with her horse; something that the girl didn't even think was possible. Cordelia laughs as her own Pegasus nudges her in the back, almost in agreement with Cordelia's silent assessment that Sumia seems more at home astride her mount than she ever does on her own two feet. For Cordelia, Sumia notices that she's looser, freer, giggles easily escaping her mouth as she practises both her riding skills and her finesse with a lance. It's a nice sight to see, two friends seemingly without a care in the world.

In the sky, nothing can touch them.

I tried really hard to keep this fluffy friendship, but even I can see the slightly yuri-ish undertones. Sumia just wants sempai to notice her. XD Oh well, it was unavoidable, I suppose.

Thanks for reading!
