Chapter 4- Round 3/ Memories

Burbank California, 1 year/ 11½ months ago:

The Omen Virus was a nasty computer virus that Decker's men, under the command of a mystery villain, unleashed on the world at large. Its intention was to spread throughout the internet and any other computer system and absorb all information at least that was Carmichael Industries first believed. With the help of the Nerds Jeff and Lester, they were able to find out that the Omen was going after all government computers and databases, funneling all info to be stored in one unique location, Daniel Shaw's brain and complete the Intersect 3.0. Shaw had broken free and infiltrated Castle, capturing Sarah and forcing Chuck to retrieve the Macau Device so he could upload the Intersect 3.0 and become the greatest threat to exist against the free world to date. As always, Chuck had a plan.

Chuck had done as he was told, he got the Macau Device and sent it down to Shaw and foolishly offered himself up in exchange for Sarah's life. She was going to freeze to death soon, but at least she would live long enough to see her husband's last breath as Shaw ended it. He connected the Macau Device to the glasses and to the computer, downloading all the information, the Omen had collected for him. Once complete he smiled and looked at his prize, the Intersect 3.0. He had won. Only thing left was to go up top and end Chuck Bartowski.

Within moments, Shaw exited the elevator and left the Home Theatre room, moving into the store itself. He didn't even notice Morgan sneak into the elevator to rescue Sarah, but it wouldn't have mattered, he had who he wanted. Coming into the center isle he saw Chuck, standing there, waiting.

"I'm unarmed. You can shoot me now, if that's your plan, but for some reason, I don't think it is."

Shaw smirked, it was part of the plan, but he wanted to enjoy destroying Chuck more than just simply shooting him.

"You're absolutely right, it's very important that I enjoy this."

Shaw places his gun on the ground. Chuck was right, as he watched this.

'Shaw wants to drag this out. Fine by me.'

"Really? Well that's a nice idea Shaw, however if I remember last we were face to face, I kicked your ass!"

Shaw smiled and looked at his nemesis.

"Not this time, I made sure that won't happen. No Intersect to help you this time Chuck."

"I wouldn't be too sure about that. I've been training for quite awhile now."

"Oh really! Well, can you compete with the Intersect 3.0? I can practically catch a bullet with my teeth. But you did some push- ups, hit the heavy bag?"

Shaw was toying with Chuck, the overconfidence just poured out of Shaw. He had the Intersect 3.0 glasses in his hands and was moving to put them on.

"Oh, just so you know, while you're begging for mercy. Your wife is watching"

Chuck froze for a moment and looked at the camera behind Shaw. This sick bastard was forcing Sarah to watch, again. Shaw put on the glasses and the Intersect uploaded to Shaw, however, Shaw didn't realize that it had the same red glow as a certain virus did. Once complete, Shaw took off the glasses and tossed them aside and walked towards Chuck.

"I've spent every last waking second in jail, waiting for this moment."

He stopped just inches from Chuck; the look of pure hatred filled his eyes.

"And this time, I will kill you."

Shaw activated the Intersect, and almost immediately it backfired. He saw images that out of the ordinary and felt all the Intersect knowledge vanishes. Chuck smiled and threw a right cross, sending Shaw back a few steps.

"You seriously underestimate the power of the Nerd Herd."

Shaw now knew what had been done, he had been tricked.

"The Omen Virus, you put it in?"

"Inside your head, instead of downloading the Intersect 3.0, you removed it. Turns out that is the last flash you're ever going to have."

Chuck threw a punch, which was blocked and side kicked Shaw in the stomach, moving him back a few steps.

"I'm a much bigger nerd than you ever thought I was."

Chuck moves in for a front kick that Shaw blocks with a standing display, in the miss, he takes a swing, that is easily blocked and followed by another that connects to Shaw. They begin their clash that could have rivaled their last one throughout, Neither had a distinct advantage until, in a struggle for the gun, They fall over a display and hit the floor. Shaw manages to hold onto the gun and point towards Chuck, but it gets knocked away as he is sent to the floor.

"Dear? Hurry up Dear, Sloppy Shaw!"

At that moment, Shaw pulls a piece of internet cord out from under the display and pulls it tight and begins to stand.

"I won't make that mistake again."

Chuck throws a kick that Shaw blocks and catches the next punch and pulls the cord behind Chuck and towards his throat. Chuck manages to get a hand up to stop him and shuffles back taking both of them over an isle shelving and into another isle, loosening the grip and the cord altogether. Shaw manages to get to his feet and land one kick into Chuck's side and before he can land another, Chuck grabs a portable projector and strikes him in the gut. Shaw steps back as Chuck delivers another swing, sending him to the ground, inches from the gun.

"That one was for my dad."

Chuck walks over to Shaw, who is getting up and pivots around with the gun drawn at him. Shaw smiles at him, moving his finger to the trigger.

"You're good Chuck, but you're not lucky."

For the briefest of seconds, a thousand thoughts and feeling surge through Chuck's head as he sees Shaw point the gun. But before he can fire, he is struck from behind and falls to the ground. Chuck blinks to see his sister Ellie dropping a double set toaster on the ground. Ellie looks at the madman she just sent to floor and revels.

"That was for me."

Chuck steps forward to in front of his sister.

"Nice shot sis."

Ellie acknowledges the shot; still a bit surprised she did it herself.

"But I told you to stay home."

Ellie looks at her brother and smirks.

"I'm Eleanor Woodcomb, since when do I do what I'm told?'

Chuck stood there a moment just in awe of his older sister. He was glad she was still watching his back.

"That man took our father from us; I wasn't going to let him take anyone else."

Chuck moved in to give his sister a hug.

"Merry Christmas, Ellie."

Ellie grasped her brother tightly, and sank into the embrace.

"Merry Christmas, Chuck."

Shortly thereafter, the CIA arrived with General Beckman to once again arrest Shaw. Ellie checks on Casey's bullet wound and cleans him up as Chuck wraps a blanket around his wife and thanks his best friend. They ended Christmas Eve with an incredible bash, thanks to Beckman, and breathed a sigh of relief. But Shaw wasn't through with the Bartowski family just yet. He told by telling Sarah that her old handler, Kieran Ryker, had found out the baby she had saved years ago. With the help of Carmichael Industries, Sarah was able to stop Ryker, and made sure her mother and the baby (now her sister Molly) were safe, and reunited the family. Round 3 of this tragic war had gone to the Bartowski family and Daniel Shaw was now locked in solitary confinement for the rest of his life. Chuck and Sarah were able to move on and enjoy the life they planned, for a time.

Memories

The next year and month ago

As one crisis is solved, another is always in the wing for Carmichael industries. Earlier in the year, Morgan had put on Intersect glasses and it began to destroy the very man, all his friends had grown to know and love. But with help from those friends, they were able to save him and learn that someone else was after the Intersect; Nicholas Quinn. Quinn was to have been the first CIA agent to get the Intersect before Chuck but when they were sent to Chuck, things feel apart for Quinn. He was captured and eventually kicked out of the CIA, vowing revenge. He had managed to obtain a faulty copy of the Intersect, but was looking for a way to perfect it. Carmichael Industries was able to relieve Quinn of the glasses, but in a moment of carelessness, lost Chuck to Quinn. Sarah was forced to put on the glasses to save him, but it cost her a great deal. She was captured by Quinn, who and with used special flash cards, to wiped of her memory and sent after the man she loved to retrieve the glasses and kill him.

But something was still there. Chuck was eventually able to get Sarah to believe him and took a bullet for her to prove it. Sarah followed Quinn on his quest to complete the Intersect glasses, and with the help of the friends she couldn't remember, ended Quinn and saved a theatre of music fans from a bomb.

With that crisis dealt with, it was time for Sarah to figure what she was to do with herself. She thought she had to leave to sort out things, but found that she couldn't escape feelings, she didn't know she had. Chuck went to find her at a beach and they talked. He told Sarah their story and how they had lived. He even took a gamble on Morgan's crazy theory that a Kiss would restore her memories. It was a first step on a long road to recovery, which with the help of the whole Bartowski clan and extended family, Sarah found the beginning memory to get her back. It took those months and lots of hard work to do, but slowly Sarah Bartowski was back where she belonged. With the man she loved, the family that cared for her, and the live life she dreamed of. Now all that was left was building Carmichael Industries into the grand business they hoped for and starting the family they dreamed to have, in the house that Chuck quietly bought for her.

A/N: Well the build- up is said and done; now the story's epic final chapters of this rivalry can begin to unfold. I'm sure there are many questions that are going to be asked and I will do my best to answer them in the forth- coming chapters. I also recommend anyone that likes my story to read: Chuck vs The Burn Notice by timewalker05, it's an epic read and is the beginning to where my story continues.
