Note: Guess Who's Back! Sorry, for leaving unexpectedly for a long time, family and school were so much to deal with that I didn't have any time to write. Now I have time to write now. Yay. I'm going to try to post a chapter a week, or maybe twice. I promise. About 3,000 words each. Okay. Okay. Bye! (Reread the story, because you might have forgotten what was happening c:)
I screamed in pain as I hit tree branches on the way down. My paws bending in different directions every time I hit a different branch. Ultimately, landing on my back on the cold wet grass.
I groaned in pain. "Why don't I just die right now?" I thought to myself. I struggled to get back up onto my feet. The agony of putting weight on my paws was too much to cooperate with.
I laid there on the grass, broken, emotionally and physically. The only questioned I kept asking myself was "why me?" I kept thinking for so long until my mind just froze the ideas and broke into sleep.
"What do you feel?" A voice asked me. I opened my eyes to darkness, couldn't use anything, not even my movements.
"What do you feel?" The voice repeated.
"I don't know..." I answered. "Who are you?" I asked. No response from the darkness.
I eventually woke up. The break of dawn approached. The sun lazily rising into the air. I slowly rose up from the floor, forcing my paws to withstand itself the weight of itself.
"Hey, Iso"
I turned around and saw one of my friends, a Totodile named Hydro, walking towards me.
"Hey, what's up?" I greeted, trying my best to hide my struggle to stand.
"Nothing much, just out on an early walk." He replied. "Hey, I got an idea, come with me." He added as he began to walk away.
I hesitated to follow, but knew if I didn't move. He would have an idea that there's something wrong. I forcefully pushed myself to follow.
"What's your idea?" I questioned as I struggled to walk.
"Okay, it might sound kinda stupid, but I've seen a pile of berries somewhere around this forest."
"Just sitting there?" I asked.
"Huh? Yeah, just sitting there, and they look like they don't belong to anyone. So I wonder if you want to come with me to get some." He finished.
"Sure. I haven't-" I stopped talking in mid-sentence. I didn't want him to know I haven't eaten in few days. I hated others trying to help me with my problems, or even know about them.
"You haven't what?" He asked, hoping for me to finish my sentence.
"Nothing. Forget I said anything." I replied.
"Alright, we're here." Hydro announced.
I gazed around. Hydro lead me to a very quiet lake. Not much sound was hitting my ear drum. Just occasionally the sound of the wind would come and go every once in a while.
"They're right over there." He pointed out, as he began to walk towards the stash of berries.
"Are you sure they don't belong to anyone?" I cautiously asked, worried as if they belong to someone.
"They've been like this since I've left in the morning for the walk." He noted, as he began to feast on some berries, grabbing a handful and shoving them into his mouth. "Come on, Iso, eat some." He encouraged, talking with a mouthful of berries in his mouth.
I slowly walked to the pile of berries. Looking around the area, in case someone picked these berries and was coming to get them.
"What are you waiting for? Eat some." He said tossing a cluster of berries at me. "Hurry up, I'm not eating another one until you eat that cluster."
I picked one the berries off the cluster and quickly ate it. The soothing taste of sweetness attacked my tastebuds with delight.
Thud!
I turned around, frightened by the amplified sound of something landing onto the floor.
"What are you two doing?" A Charizard roared at us It's deep voice made it clear that he wasn't messing around.
"Uh." Hydro managed to studder. "I- It was his idea." He answered, pointing at me.
I looked at Hydro in shock. "Did this shit just happen?" I thought.
"I told him not to eat them, because they might belong to someone.. b-b-but he wouldn't listen, instead he began to gorge on them." Hydro lied
My eyes widened, I couldn't believe what Hydro was saying. He was a water type, but still too scared to battle a fire Pokemon. I turned towards the Charizard. Fire spewed out of his mouth as smoke erupted from his nostrils in what seemed in anger.
"I thought.. Charizards don't live in the forest." I spoke, hoping it would calm down.
"We dont, but food their has been scarce this year." The Charizard growled. Releasing more flames from its mouth. The fire on his tailed brew larger, his eyes filled with anger. He lifted his head in the sky, as he shot his flames from his mouth. I turned around and began to run for my life... again.
"Iso, wait!" Hydro pleaded as he trailed me.
My body began to shut down out of exhaustion. I struggled to take my final steps and I jumped behind a tree. Collapsing onto the floor. Gasping for precious air.
A few seconds later, Hydro managed to catch up and also hid behind the same tree.
I began to hear the crackling sound of the flames. The sound of wings flying also began to flutter my ears.
"Where are you at?" The Charizard yelled.
I then felt a sudden push behind me into the open. No longer was I behind the tree, I was now in the open.
"Here's the Eevee." Hydro pointed out, before fleeing. Leaving me alone, in danger of the angered charizard. I turned my head towards fire Pokemon. The Charizard eyes had more than anger, it had the same exact rage I've seen before from my father.
The Charizard flapped its wings causing a strong gust of wind towards my direction. Throwing me in the opposite direction. I closed my eyes as I felt myself being thrown.
The Charizard roared before he shot towards me the flames.
It felt like forever. The flames felt as if they were partying all over my body. The last thing I remember thinking was I hope this is the end. I fainted, hopefully forever.
"Weak."
"What?" I answered.
"Weak."
"Who the hell are you?" I questioned.
"..."
[I Was going to end the chapter here. I just felt like continuing though.]
I awoke, not sure of how long I fainted. Laying on something that felt as soft as a cloud, I squinted my eyes to the bright lights, the environment was unlike anything I've ever seen. Nothing seemed familiar, the whole area had individual suns a bit far away from each other. The place had odd looking rocks placed in different spots. I froze to what I saw next.
A human.
"Where the hell am I?" I asked myself. The human entered into my eyesight. It had long black fur only coming from the top of its head. It had some weird black attire covering its torso and arms, also some black attire also on its legs, wrapping around its legs. She turned her head towards me, as I noticed her eyes staring at me
"You're awake!" She screamed as she began to walk towards me.
"Run!" I thought to myself as I pushed myself up from where I was laying, trying to scurry away from the human. Only to immediately collapse on the floor, due to the fact that I was too weak to move.
I felt fingers gripping my chest and stomach before being lifted up in the air, turned around and now coming literally face to face with the human.
"No, I'm not going to hurt you." The feminine sounding human began "Poor Eevee," the human said as she pet my head and set me down back onto the furniture I was on before I hopped out. "Stay here, I'm going to go bring you some food." She spoke as left the room.
I looked around the room, hoping to spot an exit, but in my search, I was unsuccessful. Before I knew it, the human returned to me, carrying two different bowls and placing the down next to me. One contained some crushed berries, the other contained water. After identifying what were inside the bowls, I gazed at the human.
"Go ahead. Eat." She kindly said, as she just looked back to me.
It felt like we were in an intense staring contest, neither one of us moved. Our eyes locked into each others. I finally stopped after I heard a loud growl from my stomach. I turned my head towards the food and moved myself closer to the bowl, eating the crushed berries. My hunger wouldn't allow me to savor the flavor as I quickly devoured the food in the bowl.
After I finished eating, I noticed just how thirsty I actually was. I scooted towards the water and took long drinks from the bowl. After I was done, I lifted my head away from the bowl and noticed the human was still staring at me.
"Well now that you're done eating, its time for your bath." She announced to me. I still didn't know if I could trust this human, the thought of actually attaching myself to this horrible being, kept me on my toes... But then again, this "horrible" being just fed me.
She picked me up and carried me into another room. The walls of this room were white. The counters were filled with all types of containers of different colors and form of shape.
She set me down onto a slippery surface as I struggled to keep my balance, I managed to keep myself positioned perfectly so I would not slip. I looked at her as she reached out and started twisting a knob on the wall.
"EEE!" I shrieked as I felt a sudden shock of cold water showering down over me. I quickly tried to scurry out but once again, I collapsed again.
"Oh My God! I'm sorry!" She apologized as she quickly twisted the knob again, the water then stopped pouring. The human began giggling, covering her mouth trying to hide any sign of her laughing.
"This isn't funny" I stated but to her human ears, it only sounded like "Eevee!" As I frowned at her. My eyes glaring fiercely at her as she continued to giggle and laugh, before she reached over and flipped a switch and then twisted the knob again. The water no longer poured over me, instead it now showered in front of me, coming from some pipe and falling into a drain.
The human grabbed a cup and put it under the pipe so the cup filled with water. After a couple of seconds she lifted the cup away the cup from the pipe and poured the warm water over me. She began to rub my fur and also pulled out a container. Similar to the ones on the counter, she tipped the container upside down and squeezed it until some dense blue sparkly liquid came out of the container and onto her hands.
She began to scrub the blue liquid onto my body. Slightly massaging my body as she covered large portions of the body. I shivered to the soothing feeling of the massage, and before I knew it, I was showered with warm water.
After repeating the process a few several times the human finally turned off the water. After shaking off most of the water I could, the human reached over grabbed me, and wrapped my body in a blanket. Petting and scrubbing me repeatedly with the blanket, getting rid of more water that was trapped in my fur.
After she finished, I once again shook vigorously, getting rid of the remaining hidden feeling of water on my fur. I looked at the human, with mixed thoughts circulating my head. Unsure if I trust this human, from what I heard, these humans are abusive, who control you to fight you're own kind. So I kept my guard up, inspecting any sign of it, but so far, this human has treated me kindly.
Once again, the human picked me right back up, taking me into another section of her habitat. This part of the habitat had a large cushiony looking rectangular box with blankets over it in the middle of the room. Large fluffy cloud looking things were at the end of one side.
She set me on the rectangular object, which felt as soft as a cloud. I immediately laid down on it. Resting my body on this soft rectangular object. Keeping my eye on the human, she only stared at me as I laid there. She only moved her lips to form a smile before she turned away from me and left the area.
My eyes closed shut, immediately, after she left, I fell into a hazy sleep, without trying to fight it. I awoke a couple minutes later to the soft sound of the human's voice striking my ears, smoothly.
"Eevee, I'm sorry to wake you up but I'm going to move you a little." She told me as she picked me off the bed. Feeling groggy and tired, my eyelids slightly opened, giving me a blurry sight of what's in front of me. The human had me over her shoulder, facing the opposite direction of her as she was, what sounded like she was rearranging some stuff on the bed.
I looked out the doorway, the rest of the area was nearly pitch black. The only light was coming from what I presumed to be the moon, shined through into the area.
My eyes slightly closed, then reopened. Seeing through the same doorway, the same moonlight with a dark figure standing in the light before I closed my eyes again. "Wait," I thought, as I flicked my eyes back open again. Gazing straight out the doorway. The dark shadow figure was gone. "Where the...? What the heck was that?" I thought to myself, being too tired, my mind wasn't in the mood for thinking. My eyes quickly closed again, before I felt myself getting lowered back onto the bed. I then felt, what seemed like a soft earthquake as I reopened my eyes and saw the human lay on the bed, under the blankets. I closed my eyes one last time for the night as I fell asleep.
...
"Where are you?"
"I'm next to you"
"I'll consume you"
"Get away from her"
"Stop"
"There's nothing you can do"
"What are you doing"
"Quit it, you're effort is pathetic"
"This is my mind"
"You're not in control"
"Pathetic being"
"I..."
These whispers in my sleep trailed off into silence. These words are the only thing I could remember before the rest of the dream fell into an obscene blur.
I awoke as the sun struck its light into the room from a transparent wall (Transparent wall = Glass Window) and shined into my tiresome face. My eyes feeling as if the rest didn't help at all. It took a lot of self force to even open them. My vision was blurred by the amount of light reflecting into my eyes, as I stared off in front of me.
I turned my head towards to where the human was laying. She was still laying there, her head was facing my direction. She had a huge smile as she slept. Her lips seemed to be stuck in that position as she kept them in that form.
I was confused, why is this human smiling? What so special about, from what I presume she's smiling about, a dream? What are the possibilities of her dream actually coming true? A dream will always just be a dream, it will never be a reality. Dreams only add a false hope to the individual who actually believes that there dream can, but won't, become a reality.
These thoughts wrapped my mind with the sense of hopelessness, as I remembered some shattered dreams that I very dearly hold close to my heart, wished they came true. Sadly though, my Dreams and Reality were both on two very different dirt paths, I didn't bother with the dream since that path seemed way longer and farther than the other.
Still, viewing this smile on the human's face somehow brought this weird feeling of happiness to me. I laid looking at her sleep, before I fell asleep again for a while.
