"I am hungry." Xander complained.
"You are always hungry." Buffy said. The group was traveling in a single file with Aragorn leading the way, followed by Buffy, Xander, Anya, Gimli, Legolas, Willow and Spike.
"When are we stopping for lunch?" Xander asked.
"When we travel, young Master Xander, we do not stop." Gimli told the youth. "We were running for two whole days and nights without even a drop of water."
"You're kidding me, right?" Xander said, horrified.
"Look, you guys might be use to roughing it, but we are not. We need to stop and eat, and rest." Anya said, glaring at Aragorn. "Now would be a good time for a break."
Aragorn sighed and motioned for everyone to sit down. "We will take a short break, but we cannot linger long. The riders will be back, and we must keep moving if we want to find the hobbits alive."
"Good, what kind of food do we have?" Xander asked.
Legolas handed Xander a little square packet, "Lembas. You can share this with your companions."
Xander looked at it and frowned, "That's it. This little piece of what it is? And I have to share?"
"They are very filling." Legolas explained.
Buffy sat down next to Willow, "These guys are real hotties. I wouldn't mind being stuck here for a while."
Willow smiled but didn't say anything.
"I mean, look at Aragorn, he's all rugged and the whole take charge kind of vibe is a real turn-on." Buffy whispered. "And the Elf is a dreamboat. Damn, why can't we find guys like them in Sunnydale?"
"I think compared to the Black Riders, anyone would look hot."
"You are no fun," Buffy pouted. "Hey, do you really think that Sarong is the first?"
"Sauron," Willow shrugged, "I don't know. It just seemed like we were sent here. I don't see how a blotched spell would take us all the way to Middle Earth. You heard them, this is prehistoric, before the Dark Ages."
Buffy took a bite of the lembas, "Well, I guess we'll find out soon enough."
