She felt so different when she woke, the pain in her chest was gone, the ringing in her ears was no more, she was still in some pain however nothing like she had been feeling. Shifting she looked around, it surprised her to see Malfoy fast asleep in the chair next to her bed. Oh wow he had stuck around. Hearing a noise she shifted her head to the side seeing Molly Weasley walking in.

"Oh Hermione your alive" She rushed over and pushed hair out of her face "Your safe" She whispered before moving back "Me and Arthur have been trying to them to come and save you. The Ministry are useless. We tried coming in ourselves but we were attacked and Ginny almost killed" She stopped and wiped away a tear "We never forgot about you, we were working on another plan to try and get in. I promise"

Hermione could tell Mrs Weasley was telling the truth and the guilt was so clear on her face "Oh Mrs Weasley, you couldn't of gotten in there and if you did you could of all died" She said softly "And Mal… Draco saved me" she said and glanced over her shoulder at him as he slept before turning back to Molly.

"That was a surprise for us all, a lot of people think he was helping Bellatrix keep you and was worried about being found out so brought you here to cover it up" She told Hermione.

But Hermione just shook her head "Bellatrix was crazy, no one helped her. Draco saved me but he wanted to save himself as well. He doesn't want to be any part of that world, neither does his mother so him coming in to get me out might not have been completely selfless but he saved my life"

Molly nodded at her "I am glad you are safe Hermione, they have said you can be discharged in a few days and your more then welcome to come to Grimmauld Place. That's where we are all living at the moment" She said softly, Hermione knew how much the Weasley's missed the burrow "We have a room ready for you but I need to let you know Ron… He is no longer himself, he think he is 10 years and lost all his memories from being 10 onwards. They cant… They cant fix him" She let out a sob.

"I'm so sorry Mrs Weasley" Hermione whispered softly, she had nowhere else to go so Grimmauld Place was the only real option "I would love to stay with you all" She smiled "Thank you for the offer" She closed her eyes a moment or what she thought was a moment when she opened them again Molly was gone and Draco was awake eating a chocolate frog. She looked at him confused for a moment "Where did she go?"

"Weasley? She left when you fell asleep like 4 hours ago" He tossed a chocolate frog onto her lap "Have some chocolate, it'll make you feel better" He said and continued eating his own "Oh and the healer said you can go home today, you'll be given some potions to keep up with but other then that there is no real point you being here"

Hermione opened the chocolate frog "Thank god, I cant wait to get away from here have a bath… Get back to normal life" She paused for a moment "Not that I even know what a normal life is" she took a bit of the chocolate frog.

Draco shrugged "One day at a time I suppose, my mother has invited you over for dinner" He rolled his eyes "She just wants you to know that she isn't a threat but I've told her that you wont be interested"

Hermione shook her head softly "Not just yet but it would be lovely to meet your mother" she said though it sounded weird saying it.

"I'm glad" a voice came from the door way, there stood Narcissa Malfoy carrying a box "Draco told me not to come however I felt you would welcome some fresh clothes and robes" She said and moved closer placing the box on the drawers beside the bed "They aren't anything too fancy, but they are clean and comfortable"

Hermione looked at the box then at Draco who was scowling at his mother before turning back "Thank you, I really do appreciate them. And thank you for letting Draco come back into the Manor, I can only assume that it wouldn't of been easy letting your soon near that place again"

Narcissa nodded "It wasn't easy, however my son is very stubborn when he has his mind set on something. And I am so glad no permanent damage has come to you Miss Granger, I hope it helps to know that both my sister and Holdroy were both captured by the Aurors so neither will both you again"

She listened carefully to what Narcissa was saying before nodding "Thank you for letting me know" She paused "Let's hope this time they stayed locked up and don't bother anyone again… Mal… Draco, can you get in touch Mrs Weasley and let her know I can go home today"

He looked at her cautiously, he found it weird she was using his first name "Right. Sure. Not a problem" He said and walked off to send the message.

Narcissa watched her son leave "I hope things start changing for him. I know he wasn't particularly nice in school and he made an awful lot of bad choices but he isn't like the others who joined, he didn't want to join but Lucius gave little choice and Draco always wanted to prove himself to his father" She looked down at her hands "My biggest regret is that I didn't get him away from it all when I realised what Lucius was doing, now I just want to make it up to him and show him everything in life that isn't focused around the dark arts. I think saving you was the first step he has taken to becoming a better man"

Hermione sat quietly taking in what was said before looking at Narcissa "I get that, he couldn't harm Dumbledore and in the room of requirement he couldn't bring himself to really harm us. I saw how scared he was that night, he didn't want to be there and he left you when he got the chance. He held no loyalty to Voldemort. Just his family" Hermione leaned over and took Narcissa's hand "I believe he can change and learn to be himself rather then what was expected of him. If he wants my help he has it" She pulled away.

Narcissa smiled at Hermione, a smile of such happiness "Thank you… Thank you so much" she said before looking down "I must be off, please ask Draco to let me know when he is heading back home" She said as she stood and headed to the door "Hopefully we will see each other again soon Miss Granger" she bowed her head before turning and leaving the room.
