As the fox woke up from his sleepings, he was unaware that he was not outside but in someone's house. He thought that he was brought here to get tortured. As he was thinking he didn't realize that a blue hedgehog was walking toward him.

Morning, said the blue hedgehog.

No answer from the fox. The fox looked in a lot of pain

Morning, said the blue hedgehog again.

Still no answer from the fox who is in pain.

The hedgehog stopped walking and stared at the little fox. This made the fox very scared.

Hello, said the hedgehog.

No answer from the scared fox in pain.

The hedgehog sat down next to the small fox.

What's wrong little guy, asked the hedgehog.

Just beat me up and leave me alone, said the fox quietly.

What, asked the blue hedgehog.

I said JUST BEAT ME UP AND LEAVE ME ALONE, screamed the fox.

Why would I beat you up, asked the blue hedgehog.

Because, I'M A FREAK, screamed the fox.

Why would you think of yourself of a freak, asked the blue hedgehog.

I have TWO TAILS, screamed the fox.

So what, I think they make you look cute, said the blue hedgehog.

Really, asked the fox.

Yes, replied the hedgehog.

Your-your-your the first person who said they make me a freak, said the fox.

Really, asked the hedgehog.

Yes, everyone always beats me up or verbally abuses me because of my tails, said the fox.

Well let's get you cleaned up little guy, said the hedgehog.

The hedgehog went upstairs and started a bath. He then took the fox and put him in the bath. After the fox got cleaned, he got out and dried off. Then the fox went back down to the couch and sat next to the hedgehog.

Why did you help me, asked the fox.

Because you needed help, said the hedgehog.

But I don't want you to get hurt because of me, said the fox.

Why would I get hurt, asked the hedgehog.

Because if they see you with me, they might beat you up to, said the fox.

They won't beat me up, said the hedgehog.

Ok, i-i gotta go, bye, said the fox.

Where do you need to go, asked the hedgehog.

I just need to go, said the fox.

But why, asked the hedgehog.

Because I don't want you to get hurt, said the fox.

The fox then ran out of the house toward a forest where he lived. Sonic followed closely but not close so he wouldn't be seen. After a while, there was a damp cave where sonic assumed the fox has been living. The fox entered the cave and sat down drawing in the mud with sticks. Then sonic entered the cave. The fox heard the footsteps so he dashed out of the cave. Sonic then followed. The fox tripped over a rock and falling on his little head. Then he noticed that jack, Austin, and Brock walking up to the fox. The fox quickly tried to protect himself with his tails but no luck. The three took him by the tails and tied them to a tree. Then The three started to beat up the fox. After a while the three left the fox beaten. Then sonic walked and untied the fox.

Hey kid, you alright, asked the hedgehog.

The fox didn't answer but did look at the hedgehog.

Oh my god, said the hedgehog.

The fox looked terrible, he had two black eyes, lots of cuts and bruises, a bloody and broken nose. He also couldn't walk. The hedgehog then took the fox to a hospital. After a while, they told sonic could see the fox. The hedgehog walked in to see a cast over the fox's his little nose.

Now I know what you mean by I don't want you to get beat up, said the hedgehog.

Why can't I ever get one friend. I don't even need a friend just people who don't beat me up because I have two tails. Why do I have to go through this, said the fox.

Don't you have a family, asked the hedgehog.

No, they threw me out and said that if I come back they would kill me, said the fox.

You could always crash at my house, offered the hedgehog.

Again, I can't, I don't want you to get beat up because of me, said the fox.

Well I can't let you go out their getting beat up, said the hedgehog.

The fox then got out of bed and tried to leave the room but the hedgehog stood up and blocked the fox's path.

What are you doing, let me go, said the fox.

I can't, I can't let you get hurt again, said the hedgehog.

The fox really wanted to go with the hedgehog. He was the first one to not make fun of his tails and call him a freak or beat me up. But he didn't want the really nice hedgehog to get hurt.

Your coming with me and that's that, said the hedgehog.

No, I don't want you to get hurt, said the fox starting to cry.

I mean that much to you, asked the hedgehog.

Your the first person to not beat me up. Your the first person to call me a freak. Your the first person to verbally abuse me, said the fox.

Wow, I didn't know that, said the hedgehog.

Well now you do, said the fox.

The hedgehog took the fox and carried him back to his house. When they arrived the hedgehog put the fox on the couch and sat next to him.

Why did you bring me here, I said I don't want you to get hurt, said the fox.

Because if I left you out in the world you would die from the bullies or commit suicide and I can't have a cute, young kid like you die because people are mean to you, said the hedgehog.

Well I guess I could try this out, Said the fox.

That's the spirit, said the hedgehog.

Just outside of the hedgehog's house, two red eyes appeared in a far away bush. There's only one thing that has red eyes, metal sonic.
