"after their briefing from the Hokage Team 1 had quickly gathered at the village gates "alright everyone ready" Kizashi asked his genin who nodded "then let's go" team 1 walked out of the village their destination the village where the most recent kidnapping had happened
"this is so exciting I've never been outside of the village before" Naruto said walking besides his teammates "Naruto remember this isn't a field trip we're trying to stop a kidnapping ring" Akemi said 'one that for one reason or another is targeting orphans' she thought to herself
"aww come on Akemi Chan we can take down a bunch of kidnappers right sensei" Naruto asked Kizashi smiled at him "right Naruto they'll learn to kidnot instead of kidnap"
'that was a terrible pun' Gin and Akemi thought "good one sensei" Naruto said laughing 'he can't be serious can he' they thought before continuing their path to the village mostly in silence
meanwhile in a cave a group of people were talking "is our guest ready for delivery" a man asked the shadows kept his face hidden from view "yes sir" two other men said
"excellent she's much more docile than that last brat but we'll be getting rid of her soon enough now then GET BACK TO WORK" the man yelled and the other two men in the cave vanished the way only ninja can
"heh I know my employers ask me to send all our captures to them but that old man and his army are willing to pay ten million ryo for her how can I pass that up" he said before taking a sip from his a thermos "OWW HOT VERY HOT I BURNED MY MOUTH AGAIN ACURSED COFFEE" the man shouted in pain
Team 1 were sailing down the river in two canoes Naruto was simply sitting looking out over the river "Hey Naruto are you Ok" Akemi asked Naruto looked back at her "did you mean what you said" Naruto asked Akemi looked confused "about what"
"About me not being a demon" Akemi smiled and pet him on the cheek "I've read a bit of mythology Naruto Kun you're not the Kyubi"
"How are you so sure" Akemi sighed and pinched his nose "OWW vhat vas that vore" Naruto said Akemi smiled and let go of his nose "well that was to prove my point the Kyubi wouldn't let someone grab his nose heck it's a giant fox that can break mountains with its tails can you do that Naruto Kun"
Naruto shook his head but he did imagine how cool that would be "there you're not a demon my point has been made let's keep going"
"Thanks Akemi Chan" Akemi smiled and pet him on the head "hey I don't want a mopey rival it takes the fun out of me kicking your blonde little ass"
"no way am i losing to you samurai girl" "ooh samurai girl nice nickname foxy" she said sarcastically
"I well shut up" Naruto said in his mind ending the argument
unknown to team 1 two men were watching them from the tree's "the hokage has sent a team after us this could prove difficult" one of the men said
"please look it's just one jonin and a trio of brats that's one corpse and three more to fill our quota" the other man said "that could work we'll watch them until they drop their guard then we'll make our move"
"right" the two men then leapt off through the branches towards the village
late in the afternoon team 1 arrived at the village "all right kids" Kizashi said "i want you to talk to the villagers see if they've seen anything strange or unusual"
"right Sensei" Gin said before he Akemi and Naruto split up while Kizashi vanished with a shunshin
Naruto and Akemi walked over to a group of women "excuse me" Akemi said the nearest woman turned "yes can we help you little girl"
"We're shinobi from Konoha we understand a girl was abducted from the village and we were wondering if you had seen anything strange before the kidnapping occurred"
"someone hired ninjas to find that plague" a woman said not noticing Naruto's knuckles clenching "I mean that girl is a threat to the village we should be glad she's gone"
Naruto cocked his fist back but Akemi grabbed his shoulder giving the jinchuriki a look "could you explain what you mean miss" while she said it sweetly her eyes were glaring holes through the womans head 'the nerve of this woman she's almost as bad as the elders'
"that- that- girl was a plauge always vommiting up blood and making other villagers sick I don't see why Shinno took an interest in her after he cured her" she stammered but got braver with each word that passed out of her mouth
"Shinno" Akemi asked "a travelling doctor he left not long after the plau-I mean the girl went missing" Akemi processed the information and nodded "thank you for your time we won't be bothering you any longer" Akemi said taking Naruto with her
Kizashi entered the victims home the one room hut had been ransacked with slashes in one wall "the girl clearly put up a struggle" Kizashi said he went to the door and found no sign of entry "the kidnappers could have come through the window but I shouldn't rule out the kiddnapper being someone she knew well enough to let into her home"
Kizashi tensed as the sound of a lit fuse filled the house "the crime scene it was-
the hut blew up smoke and rubble raining down over the village
the genin of team 1 rushed to the site of the explosion "any idea what happend" Akemi asked Gin the Inuzuka shook his head "no clue i was looking around the ourskirts of the village when the house blew up"
"guys look" Gin and Akemi looked where Naruto was pointing and they saw a blue Konoha headband in the flames "Kizashi Sensei no" Akemi said falling to her knees Gin bowed his head while Gao howled Naruto fought a losing battle with his tears
their sensei was gone and team 1 had no idea what to do but cry
Team 1 had leapt off into the forest their target this doctor Shinno "everyone let's stop here" Gin ordered having taken over with the passing of their sensei
"come on Gin we can still keep going" Naruto said angrily "look around you first Naruto no we can't" Naruto looked around to see Akemi bent over panting next to Gao Gin could barley stand on his feet the only one who could keep on going was Naruto
"we'll stop here and keep looking asuming that the doctor is the kidnapper we'll need to be careful considering that trap he laid for for sensei" Naruto and Akemi nodded and got to work setting up their camp for the night
later that evening Naruto was standing watch while his teammates rested Naruto felt himself dozing off but he snapped awake he couldn't let his teammates down not after what happened to Kizashi Sensei
"Now" a man asked Naruto leapt onto his feet his fist surrounded by red energy (from the ring not the fox) "yes now" another man said before Naruto was knocked out of the tree by gust of wind Naruto landed against the trunk of a tree and using that as a springboard launched himself forward firing a blast of red energy at where the gust of wind came from
"your good kid" the first man said before Naruto felt a splitting pain in his back "but we're better" before he slammed Naruto's head into the ground before grabbing him by the waist
"should we grab the other two" the second man asked
"nah this one's enough let's just go"
"fine" the second man said before they leapt off and Naruto found himself in the realm of morpheus (he's knocked out)
"when i get my hands on the two bastards who grabbed Naruto I'm going to cut them up so much the Shinigami won't recognize them" Gin and Gao growled in agreement while telling himself to NEVER make Akemi Chang mad at him for any reason
"Wind style slicing air waves" a voice called before three blades of air flew through the forest at Gin and Akemi the two genin leapt down to avoid the wind jutsu Akemi rebounded up drawing her katanna she slashed at a figure in the tree's the two leapt back and team 1's older genins saw the face of their attacker
he had short brown hair that stuck up in the back wearing what looked like a Kumo Uniform in his hands was an interesting weapon it had a small wooden handle with a crescent shaped guard sticking out either side of the handle was a six inch blade the man spun his weapon around like a bo staff
"you know for an idiot the boss was right you damn tree huggers actually came to rescue the little brat" the man said holding his weapon in front of him "I suppose we can fill our quota now real easilly"
"you know Gin and I were looking for you" Akemi drew her katanna and held it in a reverse grip "I'm going to enjoy cutting you to ribbons"
"ooh feisty little brat aren't you well I Suigyu of Kumo won't let you pass not without a good thrashing anyways"
"Gin we'll need to take him on together" Gin nodded before getting onto all fours Gao leaping onto his back
"heh don't underestimate me wind style slicing air waves" Suigyu swung his weapons sending air blades at them "this again" Gin said as they dodged "slicing air waves boomerang" the air waves turned around flying back towards Gin and Akemi
"you had to open your mouth didn't you Gin" Akemi said leaping in front of her teammate and slicing the air waves Akemi then landed on the tree branch and with a back flip soared over Suigyu "now take this Chang style Bushido decapitating chop" Akemi swung down at Suigyu but the Kumo ninja blocked it
"Bushido you mean that samurai crap ha your even weaker then i thought" Suigyu kicked Akemi sending her towards the tree branch Suigyu then stomped on her head "heh at least I'm not weak enough not to know a distraction when i see one" Suigyu turned to see two drills hit him in the stomach one of the whirlwinds turned out to be Gin who helped Akemi up
"what took you so long he could have broken my neck"
"sorry princess it took me a bit but our plan worked" Gin said Gao barked in warning as Suigyu got up wiping the blood off his lip he smirked "oh this will be fun you little brats" the Kumo nin then appeared behind them spinning his weapon over his head "fun for me"
Naruto groaned "ow my head hurts what hit me"
"i guess the same thing that hit me" Naruto looked to see the girl they were looking for "hey i found you that's great we're here to rescue you"
"well it doesen't seem like your doing such a great job idiot we're in the same spot" the girl said Naruto growled but looked around they were tied up in what looked like an old warehouse
"well don't worry my team will come get us out of here no need to worry and besides" Naruto said making a red knife that he used to cut himself free "I'm not helpless like they think"
"I suppose your not boy" leaping down from the shadows was someone who looked like they stepped out of a detective movie with a grey trench coat black fedora brown slacks and polished shoes wrapped around his forhead was a Kumo headband "give up you won't get away from us"
"but you won't be getting away from me" the Kumo ninja turned to see Kizashi leap out of the shadows and hit him in the forehead "Kizashi sensei your alive"
"what did you think that little barbeque would kill me you hurt my feelings Naruto"
"oh I'm sorry"
"Nah it's fine now you get the girl out of here while i deal with this guy" the Kumo ninja stood up and cracked his knuckles "not likely lightning style flash pillar" the man made a hand sign and the warehouse was filled with a bright light like the sun
in the light the man charged at Naruto only for Kizashi to intercept him with a kick the man forced to give up his move blocked the attack before sending a punch at Kizahi
"I won't let you touch my student heavy hammer attack" Kizashi cocked back his fist and sent a haymaker at the Kumo ninjas jaw "lightning style thunder punch" the two fists collided sending a shockwave and lightning through the warehouse almost like a thunderstorm
but Kizashi had the upper hand and sent a barrage of hits to his opponents stomach sending him flying into a wall the plate on his headband fell off revealing a Konoha plate
"what WHAT THE HELL IS THIS"
the man said nothing and instead made a hand sign revealing a seal drawn on the floor "long live the crown of fire"
the warehouse was filled with explosions engulfing the warehouse in flames Kizahi cursed and grabbed Naruto and the girl before leaping out a window Kizashi turned to see the warehouse in flames
"this will be a pain to report"
"Naruto" Kizashi turned to see Akemi and Gin run up to Naruto and hug him "you guys i didn't know you cared"
"of course we care about you your like the little brother I never had"
"you dummy don't let yourself be captured again do you hear me" Akemi scolded Naruto just nodded Kizashi smiled at the scene "that will be easy to report"
in their lonely cell Koharu and Homura sat even in here they would be victorious a tray was slid under the door with their food along with a note
all goes according to plan

Koharu and Homura smirked evilly as they began to eat their dinner soon Konoha and the land of fire would have it's rightful rulers on the throne
