AN: I just want to state that the pairing will NOT be Harry/Lily as several reviewers have suggested, requested, or theorized. So no matter how badly you want it to happen I will not have my character have an Oedipus Complex. A quick note to those who suggested it because Lily was 'the only girl he had shown an emotional attachment to'…I've only had two chapters and she's his mother who he hasn't seen in years, added to that he hasn't really gotten that many chances to interact with his classmates.

AN2: A shout out to my reader 'Cuddly Cat' who not only helped me flesh out the pairing for this story but gave me an amazing little twist on it I hadn't thought of so thanks CC.

Harry Potter and the Olympian Ideal

Chapter 3

-Harry-

After warily pushing away his bowl of porridge, not wanting to join his classmates in getting a 'breakfast facial', he pulled out his quill and parchment and began writing a letter, hoping the Headmaster would allow him to borrow the phoenix he had seen earlier to carry it.

"Who are you writing to Harry?" his mother asked as he looked up in surprise before gazing around the hall. While his mother had walked over to him the rest of the staff, minus Madame Pomphrey, were attempting to rouse Dumbledore while the Matron and Prefects were doing the same for the fainted Hufflepuffs, Ravenclaws, and Slytherins.

"Some of my friends back home," he said with a grin before frowning sadly "I was friends with a few demigods and demigoddesses before coming here, most of them are in their twenties and work for their moms or dads but the other three are my age and I had to leave them when I came back here.".

"I'm guessing you miss them?" his mother asked, sliding into the bench next to him as she noticed his sad expression.

"Yeah," he sighed "we did everything together, my big sister Annabeth even designed a house for the four of us back on the Mountain," at this point he smiled wistfully "Apollo and Hermes wouldn't stop teasing me about living with three girls…until Mother and Dad found out. Dad never told me what he did to them but they ran away at the sight of me for weeks.".

"Wait three girls?" his mother asked with a strange look in her eye that he had seen when his family back on Mount Olympus talked about the situation, "Really? Well why don't you tell me about them?".

"Well their names are Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, Bianca Di Angelo, daughter of Hades, and Nyssa Armstrong, daughter of Hephaestus." As he spoke, lost in memories of his time with his friends, he didn't notice his mother pull him out of the bench and lead him out of the hall, nor the curious, and once again awake, headmaster following them.

"Well this sounds interesting," his mother said with a grin "why don't you tell me about Thalia a little more.".

"She's the spitfire of the group and a born Gryffindor if I've ever seen one," he explained proudly, happy to be able to talk about those close to him "she can be brash and impulsive, she's always looking for a good fight, and is constantly trying to get me to let go of any inhibitions I have for anything…and I wouldn't change a thing about her.".

"And what about Bianca?" his mother said, smiling softly as he told her about those he grew up with.

"Bianca is the opposite of Thalia," he said with a chuckle "while Thalia is a Gryffindor Bianca is Slytherin to the core. She's always been my voice of reasoning and prefers her actions to be subtle when she wants to get back at someone, using a silver tongue to get us out of trouble and other people into it. At one point we decided to revenge prank Apollo and Hermes when they pranked our house and managed to pin the blame so they thought it was each other instead of us resulting in a prank war between the two that humiliated both of them even further.".

"They sound almost like your own personal shoulder angel and shoulder devil." His mother giggled in amusement causing him to laugh loudly.

"That's actually more true than you know," he explained "they won a bet with a some of the gods a few years ago and gained the ability to actually shrink down, grow wings, and ride around on my shoulders to give me advice. Thalia has black bat wings that go with her black hair and her wardrobe which is all black clothing with hints of bright blue which she also has streaked in her hair. Bianca on the other hand wears a pure white Grecian dress when she shrinks down and has white feathered angel wings, her hair is black like Thalia's but longer and with white tips.".

"And Nyssa?" his mother asked, wondering how his last friend would fit into the dynamic he described.

"Nyssa is our group Hufflepuff," he explained "she loves being able to work on her projects and is incredibly loyal to those she cares for. Added to the fact that she's a mechanical genius she completes our group flawlessly. I actually have a picture Dad got a few months ago." He said, pulling the photograph out of his pocket to show his mother as she giggled at the image which showed sweet little shoulder sized Bianca and little punk rock Thalia on his shoulders, arguing over what he should do, while he grinned at the camera and Nyssa stood behind him with her head resting on his.

"There might be a way you could have them here with you Harry," Dumbledore said from behind them causing him to turn and look at the headmaster in surprise "all we have to do is word the situation right.".

"How?" he asked in confusion causing the old man to grin.

"Each student is allowed to have another person come with them to lessons as a…personal assistant of sorts. It was intended to be a person that would train with them or tutor them back when witches and wizards still used steel as well as their wands in battle but fell out of practice. I myself altered the rule stating that the individual had to gain the Headmaster's approval to bring the 'assistant' as too many pureblood heirs were using it to bring on concubines for their own pleasure. This will allow your friend Nyssa to stay here and as for Thalia and Bianca…well there's no rule in the school against having a shoulder angel and shoulder devil with you. As long as they are in their…miniature size during lessons I see no problem with it.".

At that he grinned before surprising the old man with a hug, "Thanks Headmaster," he said gratefully "this means a lot to me.".

"Think nothing of it Harry," the old man said, patting him on the back "feel free to ask Fawkes, the phoenix you saw last night, if he would be willing to carry the letter for you.".

Nodding he shot off to finish his letter to the girls, this time stating the Headmaster's offer and then called out "Fawkes!" as the majestic firebird blazed into existence "Can you take this to my friends Thalia, Bianca, and Nyssa?" he asked the immortal being of fire "They live on Mount Olympus.".

Trilling in agreement Fawkes clamped his beak around the note before vanishing in a burst of fire as he made his way to his first lesson of the day, Charms, and after that he had Herbology. Getting to the classroom he saw the diminutive half-goblin teacher, Filius Flitwick, already in the classroom as he greeted the man respectfully.

As the minutes wore on the rest of his year mates from Ravenclaw and the Gryffindor students they shared the class with trickled into the classroom, several of those in blue still having porridge on their faces from their little 'in meal nap'.

The moment they saw him several of his new housemates rushed over to him as one of them, he was pretty sure his name was Anthony Goldstein, demanded "What the bloody hell was that all about at breakfast Potter?".

"My name is EVANS," he growled angrily, causing Goldstein to back up nervously "and how is it my fault if you all can't help but fainting at a bit of information?".

"You mean your lies?" Goldstein's friend, Michael Corner, demanded, looking somewhat nervous as the rather thin looking boy stepped up "We all know what you said can't be true.".

"I told no lies," he growled, rising out of his chair and allowing his cloak to fall from his shoulders, revealing his muscled arms and the two silver swords sticking out over his shoulders "and if you imply that I did so again I would demand an honor duel against you and I assure you I would have no problem winning.".

The two scowled and stalked off to the other side of the classroom, the last male from his year following them hesitantly as the girls decide to sit around him although he was confused about the looks they kept sending him.

The lesson was rather simple as it only consisted of the teacher taking the roll before explaining the course objectives they would have for the first and second terms and then going into the beginning of teaching them their first charm, lumos. Something that caught his eye was how when the Professor got to his name the little man seemed to shake with excitement while the man seemed conflicted when he read the name of his once 'brother' Thomas.

Shaking it off he packed up his bag and walked with his classmates down to the greenhouses for their Herbology class with the Slytherins. The silver and green clad students were already at the green house when they arrived as one of them, this one with platinum blonde hair and a holier-than-thou sneer upon his face, strode forward arrogantly.

"Well, well, well," the arrogant blonde sneered "if it isn't the disowned Potter, back to England.".

Getting an idea on how the idiot in front of him thought he stuck his finger in his ear, twisting it as if trying to clear it out "You say something Flaky?" he asked in a bored tone causing the blonde to fume.

"You heard me?!" the blond yelled, just like he was sure he would, he could tell that the blonde in front of him relied heavily on appearance and how others saw him and by being ignored the blond felt like his position in the pecking order was in jeopardy.

Turning to Padma he asked "Do you see a nat somewhere? I'm sure I can hear some pathetic insect buzzing around.", causing the Indian girl to giggle as she realized what he was trying to do and even some of the other Slytherin students were starting to chuckle.

Before the blond could try and retort the greenhouse opened and they were ushered in by a dumpy witch he found out was named Pomona Sprout who spent the period calling roll and going over the course aims like Professor Flitwick had but also explained the basics of the plants in the greenhouse, the rules of the greenhouse, and witch plants were dangerous and why they weren't allowed in the other greenhouses.

Finally though they were released from class as he walked back into the great hall for lunch, smiling at his mother and the Headmaster when he entered before he heard a voice from behind him call out, "What, no hug for your father?" causing him to spin around with a grin as he saw his immortal father along with Thalia, Bianca, and Nyssa as he ran forward and embraced the god of Heroes with a happy laugh.
