I Don't Think I'm In the Elemental Nations Anymore
Summary: All I wanted to do was learn some stupid Fuinjutsu, was that too much to ask for?! But nooooo, I had to get sent to another dimension entirely! Why? I probably somehow managed to piss off Kami a ton to make him do this to me. Wait, I think a guy with pink hair is running towards me. I also think he's on fire… RUN! AHHHHHHHHHHH! BYE, SEE YA', GOTTA GO! WHYYYYY DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ME?
Chapter 4: Do We Know You?
Hello guys, I'm back with a new chapter! If you haven't checked the last chapter out again, I updated it and the plot of the chapter is now totally different, so unless you want to be highly confused I recommend you read the 3rd chapter once again. The Phantom Lord arc is by no means over yet! Man, I never realized it was so hard to keep up and write a story. Sorry for the long idle time, hopefully it won't happen, but it probably will. I apologize for this chapter not being longer than the previous.
Naruto POV
Before Naruto had deposited all of the members of Fairy Tail at their guild, he put on a transformation so that no one could identify him later. He dec ided it wouldn't be fair for them if he charged in declaring he wanted to be a member right after they had an issue. The guild needed time to mull over anything they might have on their minds with the Phantom Lord issue.
Adaka had not only imprinted an app in Naruto's mind that allowed reading, writing and speaking of the English language, but it also gave him basic knowledge that your average mage would know; so he knew all of the common gossip about guilds. Naruto had many times over wished he could do what Adaka was able to do; it was just so cool!
Anyway, after he had left all the Fairies at Fairy Tail, Naruto left and told himself he wouldn't bother them until they were done with this business. So he kept up a transformation in public at all times so when he asked to stay at Fairy Tail until he could get back to the Elemental Nations, he wouldn't be known to any of the members. After that, he wouldn't use a transformation and be himself since he didn't have good enough chakra control to keep up a technique that used so little chakra too long.
Right now he had drawn a camouflage seal and stuck it on himself so he could observe what would happen in their guild. Naruto convinced himself that it wasn't spying since Phantom Lord might attack and in their condition, Fairy Tail wouldn't be able to protect themselves very well. The ones who had woken up first were the more prominent, and should I say, stubborn, members of the guild. Makarov and Erza had woken up first, followed by Natsu and Gray. Following them were the less stubborn but just as distinctive members; Cana, Loke, Elfman and then everyone else regained consciousness. When Erza had awakened she had asked Mira, who had obviously not gone on the attack, how they ended up back at Fairy Tail.
"Some stranger with brown hair had brought you all; he had very many physical replications of himself, he must have been a powerful mage. But he just gently put all of you down and he and his replications all disappeared. He might not have even been here himself though," Mirajane responded with a slightly baffled look as she recalled the strange event.
Natsu and Elfman had asked the same thing, both fuming that they had lost against Phantom Lord. Well, they weren't angry at the fact that they themselves lost, but more at how one person had taken everyone out so easily, including the master. Makarov had been silent the whole time since he had woken up and had just sat at one of the tables with his eyes closed, probably thinking about their loss and worry at such a powerful figure in Phantom Lord.
"Ji-chan! Are we gonna get Phantom back?! If you say no I'm still going!" Natsu shouted as he stood on a table with his fists alit. The Titan Mage said nothing, just expanded his arm and smacked Natsu into a wall. Natsu had been quiet after that as well, seemingly humbled, until of course, he challenged Erza to a fight to prove that he was stronger than her.
Naruto observed all of this with much amusement and had been almost found out a few times through his laughter that he couldn't hold in:
Loke was eating his dinner, angry at their defeat, as he heard some snickers. He raised his head and looked around for anyone who might be laughing at him and was gonna show them his wrath… except for no one laughing was in sight. The orange-haired man could still hear the laughter and was annoyed, and an annoyed Fairy was a trouble maker.
He decided to investigate.
Loke searched every nook and cranny of the basement but couldn't find anything or anyone. Some of his friends commented on his odd behavior, though he ignored it all. Even when multiple of his 'girlfriends' asked what he was doing he didn't pay any attention to them. Naruto had been trying to hold in his laughter at Loke's expressions so long that his sides were burning in agony. The lion-man at last had a lead on where the snickers were coming from and was slowly approaching the underneath of the makeshift bar that was set up there. He ducked and felt for an invisible person or animal as Naruto suddenly stopped laughing and slowly moved away.
'Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit, SHIT!' Naruto thought as Loke grabbed his jacket. The young man just stared dumbfounded at the invisible blonde.
"…Hello?" Loke said nervously; there was a completely invisible man sitting right there, not even any tell-tale shimmers in the air! Loke shook whatever he was holding right now but nothing happened Naruto sat silently, 'go away' Naruto quietly whispered. Ok, NOW Loke was creeped out. He just let go of the object and backed away slowly with a face that Naruto couldn't help but almost burst out and laugh freely at. Loke finally had enough and ran out the basement screaming, which unfortunately, caused Naruto laugh his ass off for a second before he caught himself. Everyone stared at where the noise had come from for a few seconds before blaming it on their own insanity; except Lucy, she kept shivering all day and staying away from the bar.
A few days after Naruto had taken all of the defeated members of Fairy Tail back to their guild, he had decided to take a look at the energy in the air. So he concentrated for half a minute before he entered Sage Mode and focused on the energy particles in the air. Naruto saw the same black and gold specks floating around, and then when Naruto looked further, he found something that worried him greatly. Walking towards the guild about 20 miles away, was a huge building that had all of these black and gold particles flowing through the air into some pipes on the building. Naruto recognized the style of the walking structure and noted that it was the former Phantom Lord. What had really caught Naruto off guard was how the black and gold particles were funneling all into a small body, and then flowing out of the body into large cannon-like cylinders in the form of familiar blue streams.
'Chakra?!' Naruto thought as his Sage Mode broke from his surprise. He remembered the man he had encountered in Phantom Lord and reentered Sage Mode. Naruto carefully studied the chakra flow coming out from the body and noticed that the chakra's color was more sinister, and also somehow more natural to this world. Naruto narrowed his eyes, 'What's he up to? That's definitely the guy I met at their guild.' Naruto didn't understand or know how Dakuda had gotten to this dimension; he definitely wasn't from here, the blonde could tell that much from his chakra and headband.
Why did he help Phantom Lord defend against Fairy Tail?
Naruto pushed the matter to the back of his head for now and disabled Sage Mode. He decided to wait out and see what would happen between Phantom Lord and Fairy Tail. If he needed to, he would jump in to help the Fairies, because that was just the kind of guy he was. Naruto continued watching the comings and goings of Fairy Tail, now from under a table; he told himself that he would get out of the building once the giant robot-thing was in Fairy Tail's range. Although, he had to exit the building earlier than that since a fight had broken out where people threw everything at each other, including the table he was hiding under.
Naruto had relocated to the roof of the structure and amusedly listened to the insults being thrown around for absolutely no reason.
"You wanna go, Snowman?!"
"Oh I sure do, Dragonbreath!"
"You aren't a man!"
"THAT'S BECAUSE I'M A GIRL!"
"You guys are all idiots."
"Can't any of you get along?"
"OI, YOU DAMN BRATS ARE DESTROYING THE WHOLE BUILDING!"
Just as that was said, Naruto felt a tremor and thought it was actually what the old man said was happening. But after he felt a few more quakes, he heard a loud stomping coming from behind where he was sitting. The jinchuuriki turned around and saw the large humanoid from earlier making its way towards Fairy Tail.
Here comes the apocalypse.
'Shut up, Furball.'
Hey, I was only stating the obvious, so at least call me Captain Obvious.
'Shut up, Furball' Naruto simply repeated before he cut the mental connection and paid attention to the terror-inducing image of a large robot walking towards him; but he didn't feel anything. Naruto looked for a place to stay at so he wouldn't get in the way or be discovered. Once he found a place to move to, which was about a 10th of a mile away, he felt a little tired; the prolonged usage of the Camouflage Technique was actually a bit draining now, even with his large chakra reserves. Even from that far away, he could here Fairy Tail going at each other, but just like he predicted, they stopped when they heard the stomping get much louder. All of the members of Fairy Tail were now running out of the building to see what was going on.
Fairy POV
"What is that thing?!" Natsu yelled as he was one of the first ones out of the guild. All of them had filed out franticly as the booming sound of the moving building got louder and louder. The guild members had varied expressions; some looked horrified, some looked angry, and some just looked downright scary, like Makarov.
The old man knew what that walking structure was; it was Phantom Lord's 'secret' weapon, their trump card to anyone who dare cross them. Makarov could feel the normal magic power that radiates from lacrima and wizards, but he also felt something similar to it, but denser.
'What is this strange energy?' Some of the more experienced wizards like Mirajane and Erza were also picking up on the strange foreign particles coming from inside the walking building.
"Phantom Lord has come to us for more," Makarov said through gritted teeth, why couldn't they let Fairy Tail wallow in their defeat? Oh that's right, because they want to show everyone who is stronger. Makarov remembered the man who had defeated them all with a single lightning spell that had left everyone unconscious and burnt. Some stranger had apparently brought them back to their guild, at least, according to Mirajane, that was what happened.
The walking terror finally stopped about 200 meters from them and an amplified voice boomed, "Hello, Fairy Tail. I am Dakuda, the new master of Phantom Lord." Makarov widened his eyes at this knowledge but looked doubtful.
Makarov expanded his body with his Titan Magic, "So you wish to say that you, Dakuda, the stealthiest and most versatile mage criminal of Fiore,were assigned as the master of Phantom Lord by Jose?"
The voice from the speakers on the building laughed uproariously, "Jose didn't have a choice in the matter, and after all, I did kill him!"
Everyone gasped at this; killing was a crime that wasn't forgiven in Fairy Tail. Makarov clenched his fists, he may not have liked Jose very much, but a life was still a life.
"What have you come to us for?! To destroy us, I'm assuming?" Makarov shouted out towards the invisible voice.
The Titan Mage could practically feel the grin on Dakuda's face, "Why else, Makarov?"
Makarov was about to talk again before the large humanoid burst out in a flash of light and transformed into a spider giant that had something like a cannon pointing at them.
"This was originally a Jupiter cannon with a lacrima inside, but I changed it to be a 100 times more powerful, it's called an Elemental Chakra Launcher, basically just the elemental 'magic' combined into an extremely dense blast. It also doesn't have the 15 minute charging time, as it's powered by magic power flowing into me and transforming into something called chakra!" Dakuda's voice reached everyone's ears as they grimaced.
Suddenly, the tip of the cannon lit up with the violent swirling of water, the crackling of lightning, the raging inferno of fire, the tossing and toiling of wind, and the shaking of earth. It grew very quickly, then compressed back into a smaller ball and launched at them with an ear shattering pressure. For Makarov, it was like in slow motion; he had listened to the description of the cannon and couldn't understand what chakra was. He saw the launcher light up with the 4 elements plus lightning and then firing. Makarov charged in front of the whole guild, mustered up all the magic power he could into his arms to fortify them, and blocked the blast. He fought to stay his ground very hard, the only reason he could keep going was his children being hurt. Every moment he had stayed blocking the compressed energy was pure agony.
"URRRRRGGHHHHHH!" Makarov shouted as he pushed against the sphere of elemental 'magic.'
"Ji-chan…" Natsu muttered with wide eyes, Gray had the same reaction. Lucy stared on in wonder and horror at Makarov's power.
"Master!" Erza shouted to Makarov, her eyes filled with tears. After a few more seconds of pushing against Makarov, the energy dissipated into the air slowly. The master was panting and shrunk down to his normal size, his arms and chest were all burned very badly from the force and friction of the attack. Erza rushed up to him and took him up into her arms.
Makarov looked weakly up at Erza, cursing that he was already down for the count.
"Be… be careful, the… the power is much more… more dense," Makarov uttered out with a large amount of effort before being swept into blissful unconsciousness. Erza frowned before she laid the old man down and called for Mirajane to take him somewhere safe and help him.
"MWAHAHAHAHAHAHHAH-hurgh-plgh-cough-*wheeze*. Ugh, I hate it when that happens. So, how'd you like a taste of my weapon? Oh wait, it took down your master?"
Erza gritted her teeth and was about to shoot back a reply before flames heated up her armor. She turned around in surprise and saw Natsu bearing the face of an enraged dragon.
"I'm gonna destroy you!" The dragonslayer shouted before rushing forwards in a column of flames.
Inside Dakuda's 'Secret' Weapon
Dakuda looked on through lacrima vision and saw Natsu starting to race towards him. "Uh-oh, gotta charge up the cannon again," and just like that, magic power and chakra started flowing into him and then into the launcher.
With Erza
The scarlet-haired girl looked on as Natsu ran forwards with swiftness before she saw the cannon getting ready to fire. Aimed for Natsu.
"Natsu!" Erza screamed as she gathered all her speed and caught up with Natsu. She ran around him and stopped in front of him. The pink-haired teen stopped abruptly and his flames vanished before Erza requipped into a white and black armor.
"Adamantine Armor!" Erza held the Adamantine shield up and crossed her arms. "Get back, Natsu!"
"What are you talking about, I can't leave you to do this on your own!" Natsu protested, but Erza wouldn't relent.
"Just shut up and go, that's an order!" Erza barked as she readied herself to block the blast. The cannon fired at them and Erza gritted her teeth again as the shot hit her. She poured all of her magic power into the armor to fortify it like Makarov did. The Elemental Blast hit the shield and Erza could barely handle the force behind it. She could feel Natsu helping by transferring his potent Dragon Slayer magic power into her. Erza held her own against the energy but couldn't stay like that long; even her Adamantine armor wasn't strong enough to handle this!
"AAAAARGGGGHHH!" Erza's armor was disintegrating and the blast was going to reach her body soon. The attack was weakening but the shield had already blown apart from the offensive power the cannon had. Natsu and Erza were being slowly pushed back until Erza's armor also exploded and the second blast from the cannon dissipated into the air, this time much quicker.
"Hmm? You managed to block that one too? Oh well, I'll just fire another one!"
With that the launcher started up again, the ring of elements this time fusing into one, looking even more dangerous than the previous times. Dakuda's voice crackled through the speakers, "Give up! It's no use, I will crush you all, Fairies!"
Erza was kneeling on the ground, Natsu near her, panting heavily. She looked up and saw the cannon firing, 'Is this the end?' The young adult shook her head and tried to get up to her feet, but as soon as she balanced, her vision swam and Erza fell down on her side. 'I used up all of my magic power, but still, I have to do this!' Natsu also cursed as he couldn't get up either.
The blast had almost reached her before she saw orange and light blue flash in front of her. 'What?'
"CHOU-OODAMA RASENGAN!" Erza heard the shout before her eyes closed and she was forced into the land of dreams.
Naruto POV, a Few Minutes Earlier
Naruto saw a pink-haired boy with his hand on the back of an armored girl from where he was at. He looked at the spectacle of the red-haired woman blocking an extremely powerful attack and ground his teeth. 'Come on, you can do it!' Naruto mentally cheered, but he kept a neutral expression on the outside. He was still where he had originally chosen to hide and had looked on in horror as Makarov, supposedly the strongest mage in Fairy Tail, block the chakra attack and go unconscious. Naruto didn't think he would need to step in, so he stayed where he was and watched the one-sided battle unfold. He saw how the redhead's shield had already been destroyed and was ready to jump in. He could tell that they weren't going to be able to block the 3rd blast and sighed before closing his eyes. He quickly set a few clones aside that immediately went into a meditative position and called to Kyuubi.
'Will you lend me some chakra, I'm gonna need to be super powered so I need both your chakra and Sage Mode to do this. Please.'
Kyuubi grumbled but was silent further than that, Naruto felt the semi-malicious energy flood his chakra coils and body. He waited a few more seconds for his clones and saw that Erza and Natsu had already fallen. Naruto couldn't wait and ran towards them. He jumped and dispelled his clones; his eyes gained a shade of deep crimson around them and were now crossed. Silently and expertly he channeled chakra into his hand and swirled it before pushing chakra into his legs. Naruto landed and ran extremely fast towards the pair on the ground, 'Run, Naruto!'
He jumped again as the elemental chakra compressed together into a dark purple mass. Naruto was almost there when he heard the cannon fire.
Naruto was now in a race with the blast to the two kneeling teens and the rest of Fairy Tail. He reached them seconds before the attack, turned and pushed as hard as he could. Naruto grew the violently rotating ball of chakra in his hand and thrust.
"CHOU-OODAMA RASENGAN!" A massive shockwave shook Earthland as dust rose from the ground and cracks appeared near the clash of power. Naruto's chakra cloak wavered before growing denser and larger as it spread towards Naruto's massive Rasengan. The blonde pushed more and more chakra into his limbs to fortify them.
Naruto did this exponentially and was draining 25% of his chakra. He finally felt the attack give way and was pushing into back into the other direction. The jinchuuriki gave one final heave before the purple ball shot back the other way into the cannon barrel before the mobile building let out an eardrum breaking screech and collapsing.
Naruto panted and put his hands on his knees to catch his breath; he'd never used so much chakra as this before. He finally realized the audience behind him before he turned around and saw most of Fairy Tail gawking at him. Naruto waved lazily at them.
"Yo."
So that's it for this chapter. Naruto is about as strong as he was during the Great Shinobi War, without the Bijuu Mode of course. He'd be OP with that. Anyway, if anyone can give me tips on how to write a fight scene, that'd be great. I don't feel comfortable writing a fight unless I know how to do it right. Thanks! Bye bye!
