I love eating! Particualry meat! I couldn't even chew because my cheek is swallowen and brusied and refused to let my teeth touch each other or bite down or even open it! My whole diet is liquid ㅠㅠ Worse? Well the dentist didn't put enough local anaestetic in my bottom teeths so I felt EVERTHING! and trust me, they dig yes DIG OUT the teeth VERY VIOLENTLY...scarred for life.
It is SO HORRIBLE WATCHING PEOPLE DISCUSS FOOD (MEAT!) RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU AND EATING IT! Seriously losing my wisdom tooths made me realise how precious our teeth is and how we take granted for them ㅠㅠ I couldn't even open my mouth wide! But it's past and I can eat meat finally! THANK YOU GOD!

Anyway, hope you enjoy this chapter hehe!
This chapter contains: Episode 4 of Kuroshitsuji II
Twwwweeeeeeeeeeeee
Sounds of whistle signalled the arrival of trains in the Waterloo station; bells chiming to notify the departure as many workers worked together to fix the loose wheels, a large clock hangs in the middle of the main concourse. Meeting "under the clock at Waterloo" is a traditional rendezvous.
The clock hands soon pointed to 8 O'clock.
About to board the train among many was Sebastian and Ciel Phantomhive as they greeted goodbye by his servants.
"Have a nice trip, young master! It looks like it will be a good one!" Commented Mey Rin as she bowed goodbye to the boarding pair.
"Indeed" Ciel agreed coldly, "While we are away please make sure everything is properly attended to."
Suddenly, Finnian's head popped up, admiring the trains and the station, "Ah! It's so nice to travel by the train!" The first time experience was something the gardener would want to do again in the future.
"I hope I will go one day too!" He excitedly jumped around, making others unease as his behaviours would often follow by chaos, "So cool!"
"Oy, Finny!" Shouted Bardroy, weary how the fellow servant was running around all over the public place, "Don't go all flauncing around!"
As soon as those words fell from his lip, in a rather twisted irony, Finnian's back had bumped into a worker carrying a large, heavy looking object as the said employee lost his balance of foot and as result one of his hands supporting the red box was painfully crushed by its heavy weight.
Finnian stood up and turned around to apologise, "I'm so sorry!"
Mey Rin and Baldroy quickly rushed over to the site of the accident that was held place upon, "Are you all right, sir?" The former sniper worriedly asked. However, strangely the blond man had his face down, covering it with his hat saying nothing not even a demand for compensation for his wound nor angry criticism while he held his injured hand.
Her hand reached out to help the poor man's hand stuck under until a thundery voice halted them, "Don't you touch that!"
A man wearing a hat, clean brown suit and grey hair that was slicked back neatly with moustache, in his mouth spotted a pipe. A strict and stern look was on his face as he stepped outside of the compartment.
"That guy is real important for scholars and their thesis!" The man looked at the three, "Do you even know how much that thing is valuable?"
Curious what such treasure can be stored inside, they turned their attention to the box. The lid has become undone from the recent stress it has suffered of being dropped and it was opened enough to clearly reveal the content inside.
It was a mummy, the coffin revealed the dried, dark, shrunken but well preserved corpse. While Finnian and Baldroy yelled and scrambled back away from it, Mey Rin was deeply fascinated, blush appearing on her cheek as she jerked her head toward to look at it more clearly.
"So that is a mummy?" Ciel asked to Sebastian who seemed to recognise the preserved body. The Earl gloomily wondered where he had seen such similar gesture that Mey Rin had just exhibited at the sight of the mummy. However, he quickly coldly dismissed it to the back of his mind.
He had no time for such things.
The demon brought his hand up to cup his chin in wonder and amusement, "It is a new boom hobby among the wealthy to collect Egyptian antiques." Sebastian explained, "Mummies are also really valuable collectibles."
"This thing is collectible?" Baldroy disgustedly echoed. He could never understand the bizarre taste of Nobles.
Suddenly a man wearing a priest uniform knelt down next to it, his hands clasped together forming a prayer, "Oh, Lord, forgive them." The priest made a sign of a cross before bowing his head in a thoughtful prayer.
However, unlike others the archaeologist interjected, "Hurry up with that cargo!" The two workers quickly went into action without hesitation. Closing the lids, they lifted the coffin with ease.
"Yes sir." They said.
"Handle it carefully." Warned the brown suited man.
Ciel's scrutinizing eye focused and narrowed onto the rather strange man's injured hand, noticing angry bruises forming; the colour of the blood under the skin. Something he had heard it from somewhere.
The strange priest made another sign of a cross as the coffin was boarded onto the cargo of the train, "Let not thy grief make us suffer!"
The train dispatcher blew the whistle loudly, signally the passengers the train was soon leaving.
Dark fumes poof up from the chimney of the train.
I gazed as Ciel and Sebastian boarded the train, my feet momentarily freezing in spot. Wondering why Alois has decided to send me also to deliver the invitation to Ciel. One of his games, I suppose.
Then my head looked up to the train, amazed at how things have changed overtime; speaking of train it kinda reminded me of Ola's favourite phrase every-time we travelled in trains; comparing the heart of a woman to a one-way ticket. Once the love is given, there's no going back. Just one ticket and all your sadness will be erased. Departure was memories and arrival was loss for oblivion train.
Claude frowned in disapproval that I was delaying not only him but the whole train, suddenly a vision of black gloved hand came to my sight. I looked up, puzzled. What did he want?
As if he just understood what I was thinking, he sighed irritated before asking, "Your hand."
I did and he helped me up the stairs of the train, even opening the door to the first class compartment.
"Just because I am a demon, does not mean I have no manners or etiquettes" I flinched, confirming his suspicion why he was suddenly acting like a gentleman. He closed the compartment door behind us before tugging the curtains for privacy.
The train started to move, rushing past the green meadows where I could see several sheep munching on grass; it went on like that for an hour or so until the demon decide to break the pregnant silent.
"It is very surprising how attached Alois has become to you." He coldly stated.
I looked up from my drink which was simple orange juice since I disliked tea, "He's surrounded by men."
Claude lifted his brow in amusement, "...And that is the sole reason for his attachment to you?"
I simply nodded, "I feel sorry for him." The demon looked before gazing back to the window.
"Why? Because he's a monster?"
"No — he's worse now. The kid back then still had a good heart." I replied.
My eyes went to his untouched tea, it seemed cool now no more steam emitted from the hot drink, "You are not drinking your tea?"
"We demons cannot fulfil our hunger with human foods. Only human souls can." I nodded in realisation, remembering Claude was demon and Sebastian told me some about his kins. I am a forgetful person after all but it seems Claude took my silent realisation as disgust to my understanding.
"You find it disgusting?"
I looked up from my cake, fork in my mouth as I chewed the delicious sponge, "I don't care about that stuff." I took another bite, "You live by devouring soul like how I live by eating food. I'm actually envious." I admitted, "You heal faster and you have a greater sense of smell and everything. You're better than humans in many ways."
"Of course, we live many times over to the point of disgusting boredom."
It was a wonder how he sounded so much like Sebastian and nostalgically, "This today of yours is the precious tomorrow of someone who passed away yesterday. So appreciate it."
Claude didn't speak, staring as I ate another cake while watching the outside.
"...Hm"
What a peculiar human...
In the other compartment, Sebastian handed his master the tea he had brewed through a small, travelling tea maker, "Young master, is this tea to your liking?" Ciel continued to gaze out the window, "The Williamson & Magor Darjeeling tea aroma comes exactly from its freshly picked green leaves." The young Noble seemed to be in a bad mood.
Sebastian looked at Ciel, "Young master, is it really that much trouble to pretend that this is a fun journey?" His red eyes narrowed as it stared to the curtain entrance, "The criminals will notice."
Smiling in a rather mockery fashion, "Why don't you make a more joys face?"
"I know." The Phantomhive head answered after a long silence.
"Is the matter on the House of Trancy really bothering you that much?" The demon asked, now the knowledge of what House of Trancy really was.
"No." He opened his eyes, revealing azure coloured eye, "They definitely are hard to catch, but that remains all for now. Right now Her Majesty take precedence." His head shifted to cloaked door, sneakily pulling the corner to see a man tightly clutching onto a travelling bag. The Earl could see from his body language the man was panicking and in fear.
"So, that is Lord Ackroyd. The child kidnapped was his only son."
"Yes." Sebastian confirmed before reciting the ransom letter, "'If you tell the police I have taken him hostage, I will kill him. You shall board the train holding a ransom.' Those were the instructions from the culprit."
Ciel eye went over to the closed violet bag, the said Lord tightening it harder, "A ransom of £5000* or..."
"In other words, you wish to say that is the price of his son's soul he is holding." Sebastian finished.
He closed the curtain again, looking at his butler, "The criminal should be aboard this train. I shall safely rescue the hostages and capture the kidnappers. That is the only way to qualm Her Majesty's sorrow."
"Understood."
We moved from the suffocating compartment into a more public place since it was nearly lunch, the place was completely empty as we took seat into one near right side windows and sat there quietly while waiting for the clock to hit one o'clock mark. It wasn't long in waiting when we heard loud screaming and yell.
I frowned and look back at the closed door. Oh, I thought in realisation, this was when they found out some killer was on board.
Then the door wretched open, revealing groups of travellers all panicking screaming 'Cholera' and as quickly as they came the opened the door to another part of the train. One of the man suddenly grabbed my wrist, "Madame, there is a cholera on board. Hurry before you catch that vile disease too!" He pulled me to my foot, "We must quickly get out of this train."
I let out some words of disagreements, "So? Let go!" Really, do I have to use my strength? The man ignored my rant and pulled me along with the others.
A hand shot out to grab the man's wrist painfully from the loud yell he let out, his eyes moving from mine to the person who had grabbed him unexpectedly.
It was Claude.
The demon sat with a expression as calm as ever and sipped his tea elegantly at this kind of situation.
"It would be wise to let this lady go." He coldly ordered, not even looking at the man; deeming the human unworthy of his gaze before using his free hand to hold my held arm, trying to guide me back to my seat.
"Human." His voice lowered but still in a rather shocking gentle tone, "Please. Do ignore this foolish old man and seat down. It is not long until the set destination." However, the foolish man insisted.
"You, sir too!" The man pulled onto his coat, I could see Claude's eyes narrowing dangerously, glowing familiar crimson colour as the man's arms suddenly jerked itself in a gruesome angle.
"AGHHHH!" The senseless elderly fell to the ground, his arms still trying to twist backward in impossible angle, the more it flinched back I could hear small crack of bones. I could see the demon's eyes was still glowing red focused on painfully writhing man on the floor; soon my body covered the line of his vision, he looked up at me surprised, the sinister red dying down before returning to the original golden colour.
The torture stopped and the old man wheezed and panted, his eyes widening with fear as he stumbled to his feet quickly before half crawling half running away from Claude's still form; eyes focused on me.
"He was only worried about my safety."
He sipped his tea, "However, that foolish man had not heed your nor my warning beforehand." His hand gestured to my empty seat, silently guiding me to seat down.
Then the door opened, and I knew who it was.
Ciel, Sebastian and Edward Abberline walked in, discussing something among themselves. They froze seeing there was someone occupied in the seat, Sebastian's eyes slightly widened seeing me and Claude apparently in some deep conversation, Edward bowing to greet the lady which is me while Ciel stopped and stared.
The little Earl looked as if he was in deep thought, maybe he was wondering where he had seen me before or going through some memory lane. Then he winced and held his head to his forehead seemingly suffering from sudden attack of migraines; using the table next to him to support his weight as he leaned against it dependently.
I broke the eye contact, turned my back and sat down to face Claude who was sharply glaring at the demon as they took seat soon after.
Soon after we all took seat, two waiter came to greet us groups; greeting before handing us a menu for lunch. I ordered a light lunch consisting of Le Fraisier and orange juice once again while Claude dismissed the server as soon as I finished ordering.
On the table across, Edward Abberline was seated seperately on a small table that could fit two in a right side just behind me while Ciel and Sebastian took seat in a larger table that could fit four in the left from the detective. The twin detective ordered a rather large consumptions of eel pie-that is bad, he is going to have a painful stomach ache soon since he ate onigiri before while Ciel ordered roasted beef. Like Claude, Sebastian did not order anything.
We all ate in silence, only one who seemed oblivious to the tense atmosphere and the fact the temperature in the room seemed to have dropped a few degree was Edward Abberline as he shoved large chunks of eel pie to his mouth, chewing deliciously as he admired the traditional food. But it was obvious the two pair was not listening to the babbling twin.
Their eyes seemed to be focused on us, Claude glaring at Sebastian while I could feel a familiar heat in my back as if someone was staring heatedly at me. I knew it was Ciel but I kept my eyes focused on the delicious looking and my favourite pastry but to my surprise, I lost all my appetite. This was something that surprised me. I NEVER lose appetite. I'm hungry 24/7, I love meat! I mean I'm Asian! We Asian loves food!
I knew nothing would come out except getting more weight from eating this food but I still ate the half of the cake, girls usually have more of those emotional eating and I don't really eat food because I'm hungry, I eat food because I'm bored. After my stomach could no more take any down my throat, I put the fork down with a 'clink'.
To the two demons sensitive hearings; it was loud enough to bring their attention to me.
"Is the food not to your taste?" Claude asked, bringing the cup to his lip, "You appetite seemed to be decreasing day by day."
I uncomfortably swiped a strand of my hair that escaped loose knot to my ear, "I feel full. But thanks for the food...Mr Claude?" Every-time I addressed him that way, it was little bit weird and awkward but it was appropriate.
"It is Claude." I looked up as he continued.
"Do not refer to me as you would a human, I said." Sebastian's eyes narrowed dangerously, glowing into eerie red to send a warning to the fellow demon, "When you call me, call me 'Claude'. Call me only that."
Sebastian's fist clenched, his glove tightening as the material dug into his skin- something which a normal human would feel pain at. The young Earl noticed the stiffness of his butler as his blue eye followed the line of his glaring.
Ciel saw the person glaring back at the butler also but then it shifted to me, I was glad I was wearing a rather beautiful bonnet designed with ribbons and flowers to hide most of my face.
"What is it?" Ciel looked away before looking at his butler who was still scowling over his shoulder.
"Nothing." The demon quickly dismissed.
Ciel dropped his utensil next to his half finished plate. Though it was like him to not eat much however, when I was with him he would usually eat more than what was left on his plate. I guess I'm not the only one to lose my appetite. He stood up, about to walk past very mouthful detective who was enjoying his twentieth dish.
"You shouldn't go Ciel!" The Earl ignored the rambling twin as he headed for the door, "If you don't eat enough, your stomach will-" He gasped, large chunk of pie stuck in his throat as he beat his chest in hope it would soothe the food down his throat.
Soon after the pair disappeared through the door, Claude sat up, dabbing his lip with cloth as he offered his hand.
"Now, Miss Yuri." I raised my brow when he addressed me by my given name instead of 'human' as usual, "Shall we walk back to our compartment. We are soon nearing its destination." Taking his hand lightly to avoid any more contact than necessary, he shifted to the side to let me through the narrow door.
"Miss Yuri." He called, "I have something I must take care of first, please go to our compartment first and wait there."
I nodded, walking toward, my feet suddenly halted. It was Sebastian and Ciel discussing the list of passengers in the train that seemed rather very suspicious. They stopped talking and looked at me, Sebastian giving me a smirk and a bow while Ciel nodded as greeting. Perfect gentlemen in public.
They moved aside to create larger hall way plenty for two people to walk past, their arms crossed at straightened back. Their eyes filled with their own curiosity following as I quickly paced through. Another set of footsteps creaked the floor, thinking it was Claude I turned around and it was that blond man, his arm holding his hat down to cover his face. His impatient footsteps was stiff- a typical body language of someone with something to hide.
Wait — I suddenly remembered this episode and me who prefer to stay out of trouble, I hurriedly twirled before Ciel managed to realise via hand injury. Using my hands to lift my skirt up, I pushed pass the three, not even bothering to say sorry while keeping my pace sharp, full of reason and intention.
"You are from the train station, are you not?" Ciel demanded sharply, managing to sniff out the evidence, "Why are you on this train dressed like a tourist..." The man's surprised face soon morphed into that of an anger.
"Shit!" He shouted several profanity and I suddenly felt an arm yanking my neck as I fell backward into someone's chest than a feeling of cold metal against my head.
"He's the kidnapper!" Ciel alerted Sebastian who already looked as if could kill. It could, literally.
I realised it was a gun pressed painfully against the side of my forehead. Normally, one would be screaming, trembling or gasping but I sighed. So, things in the movie can really happen in reality.
"DON'T MOVE OR THIS WOMAN DIES." Ciel clicked his tongue at the sudden and rather bothersome outcome of this situation.
Why do I always remember important things in the last moment/minutes?! This is just like the time I take tests. Those suspicious moment when the question and answer is too easy and simple.
The terrorist/kidnapper shuffled back slowly before hurrying as he reached the entrance for another compartment, pushed me harshly to the chair which I must admit getting hit by the pointy bit in the chest which was aching is a easy way to die by women.
"Darn it!" The blond man shouted as he was struggling to free the secured grip onto the train, "Let go..!" He was suddenly flung back by the force as he finally succeeded in loosing the dead lock of the train.
The end door opened as Ciel growled, "Wait—!" Now realising the train has been split into two separate parts.
Claude suddenly glanced his head over his shoulder, he could feel the sudden chance in vibration under his feet. His eyes narrowed, glowing red brightly as he gazed to the closed door.
It wasn't long until I met face to face with a frightened looking man holding onto a bag filled with large amount of money, his expression becoming more terrified at the sight of the kidnapper and one more hostage: me.
I sighed, blowing my lip in lazy fashion before resting my head against my propped up elbow, still sitting on the floor while leaning my weight on the firmly rooted chair. The man pulled out a pistol aiming its muzzle at me as he ordered, "Stand up and walk to that corner." He gestured the gun to where the man stood, so he wanted us to be in the corner where he can control the hostages better.
I stood up and strolled toward the corner of the room in a leisurely fashion and it must have ticked him off because he suddenly grabbed me by my hair roughly fisted. Really, in 21st Century or here, men underestimate what women can do.
Just like how I was taught in martial art, I grabbed his hand in my hair with two hands, twisted it painfully in precise angle that would have clicked his bones before throwing him over my shoulder and took his cluttered gun before aiming at the fallen terrorist and cocked its trigger.
He immediately shouted for mercy, this man was someone who would be a coward without a weapon, easily manipulated and someone who would abandon his fellow team for his own life and the fact he would break down easily such as loss of control in situations such as this.
I ripped off my bonnet and shook my hair with my hand in annoyance, blowing a strand away that fell on my forehead and glared.
"You really pick a wrong day to embezzle money. Ah..but I really needed to take my stress out so thanks." Before kicking his ribs several times and trapping his neck between my shoe's heel, he wheeze finding it hard to breathe after the abuse he suffered in his ribs now my shoe pressing against his neck. I trailed my hand along side the inner breast pocket of his coat, making out a rectangular shape.
I let out a delightful gasp, "Oh! What's this?" Holding his wallet in my hand before putting it inside my purse, "Thank you." Then, I heard an amused and joyful chuckles behind my back and I knew it was Sebastian by the order of Ciel to get the culprit. I glanced over at my shoulder and saw in his gloved hand a pistol relaxed against his side knowing there is no need for him to act.
He glide toward us, wrapping his arm around while the gun was soon aimed at the fallen man, "Where is the child held hostage?" He asked nicely with a dangerous smile.
The kidnapper gulped, in surrender, he raised his hands until his middle fingers were level with the top of his head.
"He's in the train." He confessed under the two gun pointing at him but soon a satisfied smirk appeared, "But, it is a shame, you know, there's no way to save him."
Sebastian looked at me for answer, "He's in the Egyptian coffin." The kidnapper gasped and voiced his surprise, "W-WAIT! How did you know—?!"
The demon simply smiled, "Well, she is no ordinary lady."
But the kidnapper still had a joker card in his hand, "I have filled that train with bombs that will explode when it stops." Hm, kinda reminds you of movies you see like 'Die Hard' and some other films I don't remember..
Sebastian simply shrugged, he was a demon. An forever living creature that cannot be easily killed by mere, weak human creations not to mention he could get his master and Yuri out to safety before it even explodes as he glanced his watch, "Hm..we have ten minutes until we reach the final destination. Guess I have no time to waste then..come Yuri, I am sure you perfectly know where the bomb is situated."
I snorted obvious, "Well in the very obvious and stupid place planted by a stupid person."
The demon satisfied carelessly kicked the culprit out through the window before he could even scream, landing his face flat onto the dirty surface. He kissed my gloved hand asking for a silent permission to do so and I nodded.
He took me in his arms in bridal style before also making his way out of the window but in a more sharp, agile fashion rather than an undignified way like the criminal had.
"It's in the train's roof!" I managed to choke out in between the wind force and the fast speed, watching him swiftly catching up with the front part of the train soon.
Sebastian in a rather cat like motion landed on a tree branch, threw knives onto the driving equipment that enabled the train to change its course as the man looked shocked and confused at the event. He quickly put me down onto the empty compartment and told me to go where everyone was.
When I came in, Abberline and the Japanese lady was suffering from the stomach from the food combo they ate earlier, I bent down next to the old woman before asking her conditions in Japanese. Recognising me as a fellow Asian she smiled, after-all it is not common to see my kind of people in 19th Century London.
I lied her on her back, made her relax as I gently but firmly pressed her stomach with my thumb and index. I had somewhat an experience with the Chinese medicine, with pressure points and acupuncture and such. I pressed the back of her forearm firmly, this relaxed the stomach and soon a relief look spread on her face.
"Oh..thank you kind young lady." She and her husband said in English as they thanked me.
My eyes landed on the object leaned against the chair, "It is a very nice katana." The surprised look etched on her face.
I then moved onto Abberline.
"This is not cholera." I told to the frightened people who have backed away, "It's just simple stomach ache; it should be healed with simple medicine."
"Are you a doctor?" A woman asked, coming forward.
I simply smiled.
Soon, Sebastian also came in from the door as Abberline looked up, his pale skin returning into its original colour.
"Aren't you Ciel's butler?" The said person looked around for his master.
"Where is the young master?"
"He went to help the hostage kid in the cargo compartment." The detective tiredly pointed out. I wonder where Claude is.
"Re-reporting in!" The worker stuttered, dreading to tell the news to his passengers, "Just now at a rail crossing point, our direction of movement has changed! The new crossing point is now the unused Dearimasu bridge. The weight of this train will probably be too much for it to hold." The captain wiped his sweating forehead with cloth, "Most probably...we shall meet the Heavens at Dearimasu!"
Whhaaa—?
The passengers froze, sipping the information in and just like that their brain clicked we were all in danger of deaths as they suddenly bolted out of their seats, screaming and holding their heads in shock.
"ARRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHH!"
"Well then, you better stop this train quickly." A dangerous voice walked out of the shadow in the train's door, holding a knife against his throat.
"Master.." Sebastian seemed little bothered his master keep getting into trouble so often. What a troublemaker he was; everywhere he goes a trouble seemed to follow him and Yuri so closely.
"Again you have become one of the hostages."
"Oh, God, it's you!" Abberline gasped, having a hard time trying to stand up to fight against for the sake of the passenger's safety.
The demon sighed and put his hand against his head, feigning headache, "It seems you really do like getting caught."
"What are you talking about?" Ciel nonchalantly stated, his eyes not even blinking at this kind of situation. After-all, as Queen's guard dog he went through more painful than this.
"I knew it had to be the Mass Murderer Johnny." The priest stood up, smirking. Abberline, the Japanese couple and other passengers' eyes went over to the priest. The man passed through Sebastian to confront the man face to face.
"And I was wondering whether it could have been you, Jack-Knife Hayward!" The shocked passenger's head moved from the former murder to priest and to another infamous murder. It was really a funny scene, their bulged eyes filled with realisation and fears like fishes being pulled out of water.
"But you can understand it, right?" The blond murderer pushed the knife tighter against Ciel's neck, "What will happen to this kid if the train isn't stopped." For a moment, my eyes met with Ciel; unknown look passing through before he had to cut the contact as Sebastian once again spoke with false worried tone.
"Well, we also would like to stop the train, but unfortunately if the train stops, the planted bombs within it will explode." He calmly explained.
Johnny the murderer's knife holding arm faltered and let out a bothersome grunt, "Either the train will stop and explode, or fall of that crappy bridge?"
The demon butler pressed his index in his forehead in same bothered manner, "Indeed. This is a full fledged crisis."
"Enough with it!" Ciel had enough of mindless word plays, "Sebastian, quickly do something about this situation. That's an order!"
Sebastian bowed with his head against his chest, "Yes, My Lord."
As with most murderers they had explosive temper that usually exploded in short moment exclaimed, "Enough! I don't give a fuck about bombs!" Then he suddenly pulled me next to Ciel before pointing the knife at my neck. Usually, the scene would go with Ciel being the only hostage but seriously, why am I the one who gets the backlash.
"I only care about getting away from here!" Then he pushed both of us through the door to escape.
"Young master and Yuri!" Sebastian rushed forward to save the troublemaker pair until a hand stopped him, looking down it was Abberline nearly recovered but not enough for sudden movements.
"Wait a minute! There is no way for a single butler to fight!" Then the twin detective addressed the crowds, "At a chance like this one it is time to get help from various professionals together from this compartment!" His arms flared up in 'victorious stance', "We should all join forces and fight against the evil!"
"Oh I see, it is a convenient and fairy good story." Sebastian agreed.
"No, not really." The familiar voice disagreed in a matter-of-fact, it was the priest. The man shed off his glasses as if he was also shedding his false holy, sacred priest image along with it, "I have used to live for killing just like that guy." He dropped the glasses and started to unbutton his priest garments; revealing more hidden tattoos.
"But after a person close to me died because of me, I decided to become a priest. Just as a passage from the Bible tells us: 'Thou art thy enemy.'" With swift movement, he shed the black uniform revealing toned muscles but an eye catching dragon tattoos usually seen in gang members. The tattoo was ritual of gang initiation, using the tattoos to show their status and which gang they belonged to.
People gasped at the many tattoos that was marred in his skin proudly, "Now is the time to settle the score!" Their exclaims got louder.
"But it would be impossible for me to face him the way I am now." The priest sadly stated.
"Use this then!" It was the Japanese man holding up a long, narrow object concealed in clothes. It was the same object he was very protective of as he pulled out the string that was tightly wrapped around it revealing a elegant yet sharp and well looked after katana, people gasped at such rare antiques.
"This is the heirloom sword that has been passed down from father to son in my family." The Japanese man explained, unshedding the sword showing polished metal, "I have brought it with the intention of giving it to my son for his study abroad, but there is no doubt this sword would be much happier to serve in a battle to rescue the young lady that had saved my wife!"
The archaeologist also stood up from his seat, "Well then, leave the deactivating of the bombs to me!" Turning around as confident smile reached his lip, "I have already been working well for archaeological timing devices!" People gasped once more again, one by one the feeling of secure returning to them; they had nothing to fear.
The man rubbed his grey beard thoughtfully, "There are usually only two cords: black and red, and one is a dummy. It can be left out the right way, and if not will be a bang!" The passengers flinched at such thoughts of being blown away to pieces.
"The only problem is the time to find it..." Archaeologist stated, knowing every seconds passing was important and wasting.
"Oho! Probably safe!" The man jumped as the man suddenly jumped out of his seat; the same man who was considered 'not right in the head'. The man pointed his notes, "It's this important point right ahead!" He fiddled with his papers of notes upside down, "You can switch the High Peak lines served! If you do it, then the points in the following path..." His head suddenly jerked backward, "That will earn us about 20 minutes time!"
The passengers head clicked as they proceeded the information, rather a riddle in their brain and let out a delightful gasp.
The man was talking about the time they can buy and also the time to find it. With these group of people, it was possible!
Relief look appeared on the detective's face, "That's good! That's really good! If we all combine our strengths, can we fix our situations?!" With a determine look on his face, he raised his fisted hands as others soon followed suit with yells of, "YES!"
However, the demon butler disagreed, "No need!" He said with a carefree smile, "Even in this situation, I alone am sufficient!" After-all, he cannot let them know he was not human with use of superhuman strengths.
The mob looked at the butler surprised, there is no way one mere person can go against the murderer.
"Wa-wait, butler..." Before Abberline or anyone could raise arguments less say anything else, he swiftly escaped through the window.
"Bah, that man only lives for wabi-sabi!" Japanese man grunted, crossing arms against his chest.
He pushed us harshly against the door and he held the knife against me and Ciel as he ordered, "Climb up!"
I know the scene included Ciel being dangled in the blond murderer's arm while he runs across the train roof but it anime only showed that not climbing too! Not to mention I have fear of height.
The man picked up Ciel in his arm and pointed the weapon at me, "Woman, do as I say and live. Climb!"
"Look, I have fear of height. I can't climb!" I said with the same dominant tone and the murderer gritted his teeth angrily.
"Leave her be." We both looked at Ciel surprised as he glared at the low life, "Take me and only me. You will get a handsome ransom if you do. She has no meaning to you."
Johnny let out throaty laugh, throwing his head back as he scanned me in a rather violating way, "From the look of her clothes, she seemed to be from a rather well off family. If I kidnap you both, I will get two handsome rewards." Yes, like Alois would actually pay for my safe return; this dude obviously don't know something called 'logic'.
He twitched the knife to signal me to move and start climbing, "If you really want me to climb; do it yourself." Suddenly the man literally threw me over his shoulder before climbing.
"This is so not what I had image of 19th Century." Although the two men seemed to ignore my rambling, they did gave me weird looks.
And to think 19th Century actually had gentlemen! Ugh!
After climbing onto the train's roof, I brought my hands up to cover my eyes, don't look down, don't look down-I looked down!
The man had us dangle against each side of his arms as he ran across the train roof but more accurately he was running away from a certain man. Knowing he would soon be outrun by the chaser, he stopped and decide to confront the man.
"You really are persistent!"
Sebatian reached out his hand, "Return me my master and Yuri." At the sound of my name, look of familiarity appeared on the young Earl's face with certain suspicious thoughts of relationship between me and his demonic butler (something I was surprised Sebastian even pretended to know me at all). He was a clever kid and it was matter of time before he put the scattered pieces together one by one. After-all, his speciality lies within his ability to win any games thrown at him.
The murderer's eyes glistened dangerously as he saw what was overhead; a low built bridge and cunning smirk appeared.
"Oh, all right. Just wait there." The murderer said, suspiciously acting rather subdue as he stepped toward the awaiting butler. He made sure to take baby steps as he waited for the perfect timing. Good, the butler was oblivious, the murderer thought slyly.
"Right there." We were only few meter away from the bridge where it would strike Sebastian since it was rather low but enough for only a train to pass through. It was good thing he didn't saw my 'Fugly idiot' look directed at him from his arm.
"I WIN!" With that, he quickly duck down, fully expecting Sebastian's neck to be twisted and decapitated.
Well only if he was an ordinary butler.
The (idiotic) murderer gasped as he saw the butler was literally breaking through the hard cemented bridge and came out of the dark tunnel unscathed. The blond man's jaw dropped with his eyes bulged that made him look stupid.
"WHAT?!" From shock, he seemed to be frozen in knelt position as I shakily held onto the train roof like it was my life line. I could also feel Ciel's steady hand on my arm kept me rooted on the metal roof. My eyes went over to Ciel's arm, it has been long time since well had any skin-ship of sorts but this felt detached and business like. I was simply a lady who needed to be rescued and saved.
Sebastian walked toward to us trio, offering me and Ciel his hands, "Come here, young master..Yuri."
The man jumped back with loud yell, look of frightened look was evident in the man's eyes. This man was not human, he realised that.
"Mo-monster..." The man managed to stutter out. Well, quite a ironic saying for a human who is capable of all wickedness.
The demon grabbed onto the man's clothes and pulled him in the air, his foot dangling as scary smile rose from his sinful lips, "Well then, Mr Killer, have a nice trip." With that, he easily threw the man to the front of the moving train, from where we were sitting it would be assumable the man was drove over by the train and die a painful death.
Sebastian turned around informing Ciel, "After this comes a bomb." He chuckled as he saw me crawling away to the opposite side. I mean, after-all it's the nearest exit since he ran quite far distant from where we climbed up. I saw Sebastian running pass me, how lucky demon don't have any phobias.
The dress was getting in my way, the hat was getting in my way, my hair was getting in my way — everything was getting in my way. Frustrated, I harshly ripped the lovely bonnet from my hair before letting the wind take them away along with my high heel shoes. So much better, I thought. Ciel looked at me surprised, I guess I acted too differently from other women in this era.
Sebastian gripped onto the particular roof, "Even if there are a black and a red cord..." His arms started to angle themselves to position for lifting. So easily, the roof broke under his destructive hands; few sparks of electric shocks waved at the disturbance and crashing of drilled metals until with loud shriek it gave out. As the demon held the roof high up, I saw indeed like I have known the bomb was ticking away. Fast.
"There is no need to choose either of them!" Twisting his arms and body to gather enough force to threw them high in the air, when he did so the bomb exploded in the sky.
"You! If the customers notice..." Ciel scolded his servant's rather messy method to get rid of the bomb.
"It is all right. That was the dining cart's roof." Sebastian assured, looking down he saw-, "And that customer..." Ciel blinked, suspiciously finding that the demon suddenly trailed off.
"And now next is..." He changed the subject, looking straight up was the said bridge of stairway to Heaven.
While the two was distracted, I have managed to-yes, I have managed to crawl to the now (literally) open roof of dining room. Inside was a man sitting calmly sipping tea in a familiar fashion.
"Claude!" I called out and the man looked up before simply ignoring me and continued to sip his tea. I saw the table was now a mess, foods escaped from their plates and China cup holding sugars and milk was now spilled onto the white table cover as birds gathered around the sweet beverages to peck to eat.
Wordlessly I jumped and the whole table seemed to jump up in the sky as I seemed to land on a soft, cushion-y object. Opening my eyes, I saw irritated face of the demon, his brow twitching every so often as the tea in his hand was no where. Looking around, I saw it crashed onto the red carpet.
The position of us was just wrong too. I was literally straddling him, "I'm sorry." I groaned out, still not recovering from sudden aerobic I performed up there and quickly got off from the demon as he adjusted and dusted his clothes as if something 'below' touched him. Gee. They have high standards.
Suddenly, the train jerked; it was small but it was unstable enough to make standing people stagger to the side.
"Ow!" I looked down to see I sliced my foot at the crushed China tea cups scattered over the floor, invisible to my human eyes but obvious to the demon's.
I took a seat opposite of Cluade's like before and examined my bleeding foot.
"What has happened to your shoes?" Claude asked as he knelt down and scanned the wound, he slide the skirt up to see the better view. It wasn't big but it wasn't small either and it seemed to have sliced deep enough for mild bleeding.
"Um..I took the off because it was either walk beautiful and die or walk ugly and live." Claude sighed, always confused at my modern abbreviations and vocabulary.
I pulled my leg away to bring my foot closer to see the wound more clearly but his grip tightened, "We need to dress the wound." He ripped the part of the white table cover to make it into strips before tightly wrapping it around my bleeding foot.
"You're suppose to disinfect it first..." I know these kind of scene was something you would see in drama and the girl would just blush and say thank you but seriously you need to disinfect the wound first.
The demon ignored and finished addressing the wound, I was too focused on the bandaged foot I failed to notice his hands was now stained with my blood, not a lot but enough to make his fingertips red. He brought it to his lip in a moment of allure of the scent and licked his fingers. He stilled for a moment then fangs grew, his eyes glowing bright red as he held me in his gaze.
Me, being stupid for an Asian was in thoughts and loosening the rather very tightened bandage I failed to notice the nearing gaps between us. His mouth opened wide, revealing sharp fangs that would put vampires to shame and his red eyes focused on the noticeable veins in my pale neck.
"Yuri." A voice called, in quick swift movement he backed away in appropriate distance. I looked up and saw Sebastian walking in through the door, not the roof because I noticed the train has now stopped and people was now exiting the train as they gathered their stuff and their groups of friends and family.
I noticed in Sebastian's hand; dangled my pair of (thought to be lost) shoes. I smiled in delight, then that means I don't have to walk bare foot.
He walked over to us, smiling 'kindly' to Cluade, "May I?"
The fellow demon wordlessly stood and side stepped away, Sebastian knelt down and took my injured foot in his hand, his fingers seemed to glide up and down my leg intentionally, leaving goosebumps in trails.
"It seems you have been injured." He then glared at Claude, "Even though I have...kindly asked to look after you so not even the end of your hair would be hurt..."
"You seemed to have forgotten all this mess was made by you and thus her injury was caused by you." Cluade retorted, he took out a cloth with large puddles of tea stains.
"Look at this. That turmoil you made spilled the tea cartier." He criticised, "If you were true butler, every inch of that train would be spotless."
"Indeed. You also seemed to bear some traces." Sebastian lashed back with sarcastic smile before adjusting his attention back to my foot, carefully slipping the shoe back to my injured ones. These kind of things are something you would see in drama! Why can't guys in 21st Century like this?
Then, from Cluade's lips long, snake-like tongue whipped the air as he stared at my neck and as quickly as it came out, it quickly went in. I always get goosebumps at those scenes..
Standing up, he pulled my arms up to support some of my weight. I practised small baby steps first, trying to get used to my injured leg and not to put any unnecessary weight onto it. In few minutes I could walk fine.
Suddenly, in Sebastian's face was a white envelope held up, "And that is..?"
"If you want to investigate my master," Claude started, "I proudly shall give you the pass for the gates of the Trancy House." Sebastian narrowed his eyes, a key to many things was practically dangling in front of his face. The demon suspiciously regarded the invitation, after-all the fellow demon was practically giving the cat a fish to look after.
"Do you not want to resolve of your young master, Ciel's problem?" Claude tempted, his eyes landing on me to emphasise what the young master was suffering due to.
"Or..." Claude added with a small smirk, "Are you too greedy and chose to hide and locked the butterfly away like a locked bird?" Butterfly? Only I didn't know the butterfly was me. What's with the butterfly now days?! Was it like trending? Nah, this isn't twitter.
"..." Sebastian said nothing.
As we walked to where our carriage was waiting, I saw something bumping out of my sleeve. I saw it was that guy's purse. Well, I could go shopping with this but Alois already had wardrobe full of dresses. Throw them away?
Then as if God answered my thought, a shouting was heard in an otherwise empty street. The man threw a small boy out of the bakery's door before chucking measly copper coin as the boy continued to beg for the man to have sympathy and mercy to his circumstances.
The pitiful image reminded me of my past very much, when I first came to England and our family struggled with cultural difference, struggled to fit in, struggled with everything. But at least, we were much more better off than this.
Before Claude could register I had left his side, I have shoved few notes in the man's face and watched as the shock crept in as his greedy eyes took in the vast amount of money that was enough to buy the shop itself. The boy curiously looked up.
"You look down your nose at pennies and dimes, when you can't even make change for this?" The man's face scrunched up in anger as he opened his mouth to retort back, but I quickly interrupted, "Before you take offense, start by apologising. If you can't even bother to consider what the boy's buying this for, why sell the product? It seems to me the quality of your service does not amount to a dime's worth. There's no such thing as a dime-value person in this world. Discriminating among people is cowardly and pathetic."
The baker would have otherwise shouted at the woman for her daring and insulting words, to pay for the price of humiliating him but the man took in the state of my expensive clothing, the money in my hand that dangled in front of his eyes like sinister temptation and swallowed his pride and let his dignity to be stomped on.
The baker took the money from my hand, went inside before coming out with two large bags of various breads and cakes. The old man shoved the bag into the boy's expecting hands, large grin spreading as his eyes took in the steaming food.
"Thank you, Miss."
"Eat well." I said before catching up to Claude.
"What did you do?" The demon inquired curiously.
"I brought the boy bread." I replied, "And it made him happy."
Then my eyes landed on a homeless man leaning against the wall. Shivering.
It was nearly winter, and his clothes wasn't helping much either. When I opened the wallet earlier on, I saw it had many notes so I guess it could help.
Wordlessly, I offered him the man's wallet containing whatever remaining (I checked and there were plenty) and the old homeless man took them gratefully before going back to Claude who silently waited for me few steps ahead.
"You gave the money to the man?" Claude said, surprised. Humans he knew was greedy, selfish and cruel who kept to themselves.
"Well, it was that kidnapper's wallet but since those money would either been ransom or blood money or things he stole, I see no reason why I'd be wasting it. Since it started out as blood money, I thought it would be nice to end happily." I said, motioning the money.
"Why do you smile?"
Huh? What kind of question is that?
"Um..we smile often." I managed out.
"You smile even though you are not happy; it's irritating." He harshly stated. He really did not understood how emotions worked. He understood how humans itself worked but it was confusing to see why they would act based off their feelings.
"..." I looked up, thinking what I should say, "People will think that as being naïve, you know, and they will envy you for that. 'This will be the last time.', 'I won't do it again' and do them again, that is human. I guess I'm a little bit disappointed he didn't remember me. If he leaves me and is happy then I would let him go but if I could be happy when he leaves me, I would."
"..You humans are foolish creatures. Moreover, women." I smiled at his typical answer for a man.
"Well, God made us both foolish and beautiful so men might love her and she might love him." I replied.
So do you like it? Tell me your thoughts! Sorry for late updates guys! I know how much you've been waiting for it and here it is! Hope you enjoyed this chapter!
