A/N: Welcome to another chapter. Happy reading.
FYI: I know that I have a bunch of spelling, grammar, names, etc mistakes. I try my best but I am not very good at them. If I feel like it when the story is over I will go back and change them but as a reader I get depressed when it says there is a new chapter and all that was changed was some spelling stuff.
Disclaimer: I own nothing related to Avatar.
Zuko and Sokka entered the small family dining hall where the girls had been waiting with Aang. The games had continued after they had left as if nothing had happened. They announced that no one was in danger, that whoever had been behind it was captured by the Avatar and everything was fine.
"Well they aren't claiming to be part of any group or organization. They said it was just the two of them working alone." Sokka said as he took a seat at the table. "The one who shot the wire was registered in the tournament. After some words from Zuko he told us he wanted to get Katara out early. But it didn't go as planned."
Zuko sat as well while Sokka was talking. "They were aiming for you but you moved or something and they hit Kagura instead. What I don't like is how they did it. That wire would have hurt when it hit her. Why didn't she flinch? Why didn't she yell out? How did she not fall after all the blood loose? How does a wire that thin hold someone up like that?"
"The wire went down her entire right side." Katara spoke. "It entered through her hand and then went all the way down and out her foot. It was so thin we couldn't see it. I bet she didn't feel it until she took her stance and then was in so much pain she didn't dare move."
Sokka grimaced. "Was he just metal bending?"
Toph responded. "I haven't shown anyone how to do it accept Aang. That is the way it looked though. I don't know how he would have learned it if that was what he was doing."
"So what do we do?" Suki asked as she looked around the table.
"At this point we just hope that is what really happened." Zuko said as he tapped the table with his fingers. "We just keep doing what we normally do but we are going to have to pay a little bit closer attention to what is happening around us during the tournament."
"Man this was supposed to be fun." Katara said as she sunk her head onto the table.
"Well now it's just extra fun." Toph said with an excited smile. "We get to really beat people up not just make it look like we are."
Katara let out a laugh at the excitement this put into her small friend. "At least they are almost done with round one for the day out there. We should just wait here until we hear everyone returning to the grand hall to eat."
The hand to hand part of the tournament continued the next day starting at dawn with round two.
Zuko and Katara were taken out of the third round as they were to be the final opponents of the winners. Zuko was chosen for the final battle because he was beating his opponents in the first and second round in less than a minute. Katara was taken out as she was going to represent the water tribe as a tournament champion.
During the fourth the rest of them lost, all in embarrassing ways.
Aang had ended up losing to a man twice his size in both height and weight. The man had just jumped on Aang and Aang could not get out from under him. Resulting in Aang losing via pinning.
Suki had battled at man who had stripped naked. While this wouldn't normally bother Suki, the man kept trying to attack her with his junk instead of his hands. Needless to say she gave up.
Sokka had battled a man who had hair past his knees. When Sokka tried to attack him, he got tangled in the man's hair. He ended up having to give up after he was so tangled Katara was sure they would have to shave his head to get Sokka out.
Toph had battled a man who was "like twinkle toes" she put it. He was so light on his feet it was hard for her to see him. He ended up tripping her as she was shifting to find him. She was knocked out from the fall.
They were now in the eighth and last round before the finals. The last fight of the round was happening in front of them. Zuko was impressed it hadn't taken a full day to get to the end of the tournament. At the rate it was going they would be finished by dinner. Once they got past the fifth round most of the battles were under ten minutes.
One of the man round house kicked the other and the last round was over. "The winner is Tikaani. The final battle will begin shortly."
"Really it just had to be him." Sokka said as he watched the man leave the arena. "I thought he was a water bender shouldn't he be bad at this."
Katara was too upset to even consider the insult that was potentially thrown at her as well.
Her head began to run ramped as she made her way to entrance of the arena. If she had to battle him, she would either kill him or she would freeze and he would beat the crap out of her. If Zuko battled him then he would kill Tikaani. This was not going to end well.
Katara walked into the arena with her head still spinning. This wasn't going to be pretty.
"Zuko you will fight Tikaani. Katara you will fight Jiagh." The announcer said to them as they slowly walked through the door.
Katara was happy she wasn't fighting Tikaani but she was worried about what Zuko was going to do. As the man she was to fight began to walk in front of her she began to worry for herself. She was no joke maybe half his height and his bicep was the size of her head.
She didn't stand a chance in this part of the tournament. As the representative of the tournament from the water tribe she had to compete in every game and in the final battle. Whoever's idea this was didn't think this through. She was really bad at a lot of this stuff. Did someone want to kill her? Wait? Did they? Whose idea was this again?
"Are you ready!" The announcer shouted pulling Katara from her thoughts.
"Zuko." Katara said attempting to tell him without looking at him.
"I know." Zuko said as he took his spot next to her.
"Both battles are going to happen at the same time. When one of the finalist, Tikaani or Jiagh, beats their final round person, Katara or Fire Lord Zuko, they are to attack the other finalist and Katara or Fire Lord Zuko, will back out. The winner of that battle will be the winner of the hand to hand part of the tournament."
"If both finalists loose to their final round person then they will tie for the hand to hand combat winner."
"Katara if I loose you need to go down before he moves towards you." Zuko said only loud enough for her to hear.
"Why?" Katara asked as she watched the two finalist walk around the arena opposite them.
"I just have a feeling." Zuko said as he walked away from her.
Katara took a fighting stance. 'Yue, please let me not get hurt too much.'
"Go!"
Katara watched as the man ran as fast as he could right at her. "Damn." Katara said as she just missed getting hit by a kick. 'He's almost as fast as Zuko.' Katara said dodging another attack from his foot.
She hadn't watched him fight at all so she had no idea how he fought but that wasn't an issue. She had fought countless opponents without ever seeing how they fought beforehand. But not many of them were this much larger than her.
Side stepping she sent her leg flying at the man's head. He dodged it but she was expecting that. She finished with a follow through of her other leg. It connected with his gut.
While the man was holding his stomach Katara jumped into the air and let her elbow connect with the man's neck in the location Zuko had shown her. He went down faster than anyone she had ever seen.
"Katara has won her battle!"
The crowd erupted in cheers as Katara began to walk back to the entrance she came from speaking to herself. "Thank you Zuko for teaching me how to kick someone's ass no matter their size. Thank you Lee for teaching me all the things Zuko wouldn't." When she was finally out of the arena she dared to look at Zuko.
He hadn't moved. Neither had Tikaani.
"It was like that the entire time you were fighting." Toph said as the rest of them walked up to their friend. "And both of their heart beats are even. It seems they are up for a game of wills."
"Five minutes left!" The announcer said suddenly drawing Katara from her thoughts of what they were possibly waiting for.
Tikaani was across the field faster than her eyes could follow. Zuko easily blocked the attack before he returned the punch for punch.
Katara watched as the two men stopped blocking each other and just attempted to punch and kick each other as much as possible before the time was up.
"What are they doing?!" Sokka said from his spot behind his sister.
"Trying to kill each other." Aang said with fear for his friends life.
"It's a game of wills like Toph said." Suki said as she stiffened slightly as Zuko took a huge punch to the gut. "They were waiting to see who would be the first to move. Then doing the first 30 seconds of fighting they wanted to see who would fall first without blocking. Who is the tougher man."
"Why would they do this?" Katara said as she took a step towards them.
"Zuko is more or less showing him not to mess with us, while Tikaain is showing him that he could easily take him." Suki said as she watched the battle taking a step forward as well. "I have seen this many times while training fire nation soldiers for Zuko. Its normal for them."
"Two minutes!"
Katara had almost stepped into the arena two more times to help him but Toph stopped her each time. Sokka had to stop Suki once as well. This battle had gone past intense awhile ago and had just become a bloody mess. The crowd had long since stopped cheering they were just standing there in awe of the bloody battle taking place before them.
"30 seconds!" the gore that was in front of them was even evident in the announcer's voice.
"Zuko." Katara whispered as she counted down the few seconds in her head. It felt like a life time. She just wanted to get out there and heal him already.
"Time!"
Katara ran full sprint towards the men. She was going to heal him whether he wanted her to or not. "Zuko."
"One second Katara." Zuko was still in a fighting stance and he would not let it down until the other man was far from him. He kept his eyes on the man as he took a few more steps backwards. Zuko did not move but made sure Katara was behind him.
"Tikaani is the winner of hand to hand as he tied with his final round person and Jiagh lost."
As the announcer spoke Tikaain moved away from Zuko towards the entrance he had come out of. Blood was running down his face and arms. Katara could tell as he walked he had at least three broken ribs and maybe a leg bone somewhere. He looked as if he would have more bruises tomorrow than what one should from a simple tournament.
When he was far enough away Zuko let his arms drop as he stood to his full height. He did not turn away from Tikaain though. He was not about to let the man think it really beat him.
Katara pulled the water from the small pond at the other end of the arena. It was for the bending tournament but she needed it now. She let the water engulf Zuko's body and begin to heal him as the blue light spread.
She no longer cared about letting people see her healing and how powerful it had become, she needed to heal her friend. Pakku could be mad at her tomorrow.
Wow and awe's had begun to erupt from the crowd as they watched the girl heal him. Many had never seen a bender heal before and it was something they considered beautiful. Most thought she was just a fighter and not a very good healer. Pakku had asked her to keep this a secret as most healers were sought after aggressively and even blackmailed.
But at this moment she didn't care who found out, she needed to heal Zuko! She was extremely worried about him and how much blood was pooling around his right leg.
Zuko on the other hand still had a stern look on his face. 'He was diffidently not from the Northern Tribe. No one from the North had ever fought me like that.'
Katara stopped her healing. Her face was livid. She checked once more to make sure all internal injuries were gone before she would let him move off the field.
He turned when the glow stopped and she returned the water. He didn't dare look at her yet. He needed to sit and maybe have a few drinks before he heard the wrath of Katara.
They left the field without speaking. Walked passed their friends without speaking and their friends knew better to speak. The anger was rolling off Katara like a waterfall.
As soon as they had reached the small room that was used for people to get ready Katara let loose all hell on him. "What were you thinking?!"
"He started it." Zuko said as he flinched attempting to sit in the chair.
Their friends slowly started to enter making sure to keep clear of Katara. Even Uncle had entered slower than he normally did.
"I don't care. You told me you wouldn't kill him and then you go off and beat the shit out of him and yourself at the same time. What in the world was the point of that?!" Katara said with anger dripping from her voice. "Do you have any idea how worried I was that you would drop dead before I could come and heal you!?"
Toph dared to enter the conversation. "I had to stop her from coming to help you twice."
"I had to stop Suki." Sokka added. "That was way too intense for a tournament battle man."
Zuko wheezed in pain as he shifted in the chair before he spoke. "I was dead set on letting him win until he started going ape shit crazy on me."
"Zuko is right." Iroh spoke. "That was no fighting style of the Northern Tribe. We can ask Pakku to make sure but I have only seen that a few times in my life."
"With the Akane Fire Nation Warriors." Zuko spoke from his spot.
Everyone looked at them a little confused. "They were a group of warriors who could not bend. They would use hand to hand combat to take down their enemies no matter the cost to their own bodies or others around them." Iroh said as he looked around the group. "I will be sending word to see if there are any names similar to his on the registry or if there are pictures left of them."
"You think he is from the Fire Nation. That doesn't mean he is bad." Aang tried to reason. "He could be trying to start over after the war like everyone else."
"It wouldn't hurt to look Aang." Toph spoke to him gently. "He did try to hurt Katara."
Aang nodded in agreement.
"I will send out the bird." Iroh said as he left the small room in a bit of a hurry. He was not ashamed to say the small girl scared him. He wanted out as fast as possible.
"We will go talk with Pakku." Sokka said motioning to Suki. He wanted to get out before Katara really got mad. He had been on the receiving side of this multiple times and knew better than to just stay and watch.
"We will go eat." Toph said with a smile as she grabbed Aang's hand. She knew the two needed alone time.
Katara listened as Sokka complained about them eating first before the door was shut.
"Katara." Zuko tried but was met with nothing but anger.
"Zuko if you ever do something like that again." Katara paused attempting to think of something she would do to him but nothing came to mind. "I sure as hell hope I am not there."
Zuko let out a laugh before he wheezed in pain again. "I look that bad huh?"
"Let's just say I can't even see where your burn is on your face it's so swollen and bloody." Katara said as she sat down in the chair next to him. She pulled out the water from her skin. "I was really scared Zuko."
"I know." He responded with as much seriousness as her as he took off his shirt painfully slow.
She began to heal his side not looking at his face as she spoke softly. "I don't know what would happen if I lost you."
He was not looking at her either. His head tipped back as he watched the ceiling. She moved from his side to his chest taking in all the cuts. "I don't know what I would do if I lost you either."
Katara stopped in her healing as a single tear rolled down her face. She looked up at him as he looked down at her. She choked back a small sob as she lunged at him for a hug. He wheezed slightly before he hugged her just as tightly.
Katara walked next to Zuko as they entered the hall to sit with their friends. Murmurs began as they walked past different tables.
"Wasn't her healing so cool?"
"If that's how he fights without bending, I wonder what its like when he bends?"
"Wasn't the Fire Lord amazing in his fight."
"I wonder if she healed all of his wounds."
Katara took a seat at the table as Zuko slowly attempted to sit before a pain shot through his back and he clasped on the chair.
"Are you sure you healed all the major stuff?" Zuko asked as he looked at her in pain.
Katara laughed as she took some bread. "Yes you are just being a baby now."
"When was the last time you were that hurt Zuko?" Suki asked as she ate her food.
"Yeah. Since you've been at the palace I can't imagine you getting beat up ever." Sokka added though you could hardly understand it through the food in his mouth.
"The last time I looked like this is when I fought my sister with Katara." Zuko said as he took some fruit from the plate. "The last time I got hurt though was when I was teaching Toph hand to hand and she sent me flying into a wall with her bending."
Everyone started to laugh at the image of small Toph sending Zuko flying. "I do get in fights all the time especially when we are not in the Fire Nation. I just normally have bending and don't get this beat up."
"Well Sparky at least there is only one more event without bending. But you are so good at that I doubt it will matter." Toph said as she looked around the room with her blind eyes attempting to locate the bowl with the food in it she wanted, a small hint to Aang.
Aang reached for the bowl. "It won't matter if he can't move still."
"He is fine. He is just being a baby." Katara said with a smirk towards him.
She knew he wasn't fine though. He had four broken ribs, a cracked femur, a cracked tibia, a broken wrist, a dislocated shoulder, not including all the bruised and cuts that had covered his upper body. She was surprised he even stood by the end of the battle with how bad everything was.
She had healed his legs and any internal injuries before he even left the field as best she could. While in the small room she had healed his legs the rest of the way, the internal injuries were gone, and she had managed to heal his ribs to a point where they wouldn't cut into anything as he moved. She easily popped his shoulder in place without her healing, which was good because she needed to rest. Healing bones took a lot more out of her than cuts and scrapes.
Zuko knew that she was nowhere near finished healing him, but it was obvious she was spent. Her face was paler than normal and on the walk to the dining hall she almost collapsed three times.
She would rest and eat then start to heal him again tonight. He knew that much for sure. She would never let him just stay like this even if he asked.
They talked about various things as they ate. Slowly one by one everyone wanted to return to their rooms. It was almost 9 now and they had had a hard day of fighting. Katara and Zuko were one of the last to leave. Only Iroh remained.
"Sleep well. Nephew I will be along in a few minutes to check and make sure you are ok." Iroh offered as they began to walk away. He could tell as they walked the two were both at their limit for the day. He would be surprised if they made it back without falling once or twice.
They walked back in silence, Katara was unsure if it was from exhaustion or just the amount of information running though her mind. She was happy that she was with Zuko again though. He would catch her if she fell again. She almost busted her head on a corner walking to dinner.
They entered their rooms without so much as a good night. Katara locked all her doors and then went to change. While doing so everything was playing in her mind. Biah, Tikaani, Zuko, marriage, the tournament, everything! She just needed to relax already.
Walking to her mirror she made a small hole and walked into Zuko's room. There he stood with one arm in his shirt, the other out, and his head half way stuck in the shirt.
Katara let out a small laugh as every small issue escaped her mind. "Do you need help?"
Zuko let a sigh release "Yes please."
She walked over and helped him take the shirt off before helping him lay down in bed. As she sat down next to him she laughed again at how easily he let her help. The powerful, strong, mean Fire Lord let little delicate Katara help him so simply. "I am going to get some water now to heal you some more."
"No Katara you need to rest too. Just wait until morning." Zuko said as he shifted slightly in the bed.
She gave him a look. "There is no way you will even be able to sleep if I don't heal you."
"Sacrifice I am willing to make." Zuko said with a smile.
Katara laughed at his ridiculousness. "I'm not." She retorted as she stood up from the bed.
She walked into the bathroom to get some water to start healing him again when she heard Uncle enter the room.
"So Katara how bad is my nephew?" She heard him ask while she was still in the small room.
"He is terrible!" She yelled back as the bucket was filling up.
"I somehow thought he would be." Uncle said as she walked back into his room.
Katara looked at Zuko's uncle and then at her grandmother. "GranGran?"
"I went to look for you and your door was locked. When you didn't answer I thought I would try over here when I ran into Iroh." GranGran said as she took a seat on the edge of the foot of the bed.
Katara smiled at her grandmother as she took a seat on the bed next to Zuko. "Well he has four broken ribs, a cracked femur, a cracked tibia, a broken wrist, a dislocated shoulder, and that's not including all the bruised and cuts that covered is upper body."
Uncle gave Zuko a stern look. "Zuko how could you be so careless and make Lady Katara work so hard." Katara gave him a small smile.
Zuko returned the look. "It was Tikaani."
"That doesn't mean you need to take it this far." GranGran attempted to try as well. "We don't need him dead. And we really don't need you dead."
Zuko looked at the old woman as blue light began to cover his ribs. "I know. Katara has already yelled at me. Three times!" Katara glared at this remark. "I get it. But still, Tikaani should not be able to do what he did if he is from the Northern Tribe."
"When we were talking about it earlier I was wondering about this." Katara said as she healed him. "If he is a water bender why would he be part of the Fire Nation Army?"
Zuko and Iroh looked at each other. Both had not thought of that. "Have you seen him water bend?" The question was directed at the two water tribe members.
"No." Katara said absentmindedly while working on Zuko's ribs some more.
"No. Pakku just said that he was a political figure in the north and a water bender." GranGran said as she looked at Iroh.
"Maybe we should look into that as well." Iroh said as his look became more concerned. "This man holds more secrets than I would like."
"Agreed." Zuko said before wincing in pain.
"Hold still." Katara yelled at him.
Iroh and Kanna smiled at the two in front of them. They would be together soon, both of the elders knew but for now they would just wait.
"We will let you finish healing him." Iroh said as he walked towards the door.
Katara and GranGran followed. When they left Katara locked the door to the hall and the door to the sitting room. Everything was locked no one could get to them now.
"So do you think you should rest yet?" Zuko asked as she leaned against the wall for support before coming to sit on the bed next to him. "There aren't as many people in the sword competition so it doesn't start until after lunch. You could rest and heal me in the morning."
"Zuko. I have one more rib and your wrist then I will sleep." Katara stated. When he was about to protest she spoke. "If you don't let them rest after I heal them for as long as possible they will be sore tomorrow. You cannot use a sword if your wrist is swore and your rib has a pain in it whenever you move."
She was right. But he was worried she would pass out before she finished. "Just don't wake me up when you leave. Or don't leave until I wake up. I am going to need a lot of rest after this."
Zuko smiled at her. "I will let you sleep until an hour before the tournament."
"Thank you." Katara said before she continued to work on his rib.
Zuko woke the next morning to the lovely sight of Katara laying on his chest. She had finished healing his ribs and wrist before she had passed out.
She was right though. Even after she had finished he had felt like she hadn't done anything at all. This morning he was still sore but it didn't hurt to breath or move. He raised his wrist and began to spin it around, it felt fine but there was a slight numbness to it.
He could still feel some of the bruises and such but those were an easy fix that Katara could do later today if she felt like it.
He began to make small circles on her back with the hand that was wrapped around her. The sun wasn't very high yet, it had maybe been up for an hour if that. Katara had a lot of time to sleep before the next round started.
'Should I maybe try to sleep more? Maybe I should go and try to practice to see if I even can move.' Zuko thought to himself still making circles on her back as he looked at the ceiling.
"Want to get up?" Katara suddenly asked causing him to jump. She let out a laugh at how easily she scared him.
"Geeze Katara. I thought you were going to sleep in." Zuko said as he shifted.
Katara readjusted herself after he stopped moving. "I guess I got use to getting up ridiculously early with you the last few days."
"Ahh." Zuko said thinking about how nice it was she had adjusted to him. But he had adjusted to her as well. He wouldn't tell her but he normally was up and out of bed before the sun had even broke the horizon. He didn't want to bother her with that so he had told his body to sleep in.
"So do you want to get up or not?" Katara asked as she looked up at him from his shoulder.
He looked down at her. No, he didn't want to leave. He wanted to spend an entire day in bed with her. He wanted to have no cares in the world just for one day. But he knew that wouldn't happen. "I was thinking about going and checking to see if I could move well enough to fight today."
Katara turned her head away from him and began to make circles on his chest. "That is probably a good idea."
"Yeah." Zuko responded as the two just lay there not moving.
Ten minutes passed. Then twenty. Finally Katara broke the silence. "You think we should go now?"
"Give it another minute." Zuko said as he pulled Katara closer to him.
Katara sat watching the fight unfold in front of her. A small laugh escaped her lips.
Zuko had been running through his fighting stances with his sword when one of the young boys from Katara's class had come by. He was maybe 8. He wanted to know if they would still be having class today even though there was a tournament. His justification was that Pakku could teach the class.
When she had said no the boy became disappointed. Seeing this Zuko had offered to teach him a little of his swordsmanship. The boy agreed happily.
Katara was now watching as Zuko clearly was letting the boy win but the boy had a huge smile on his face. Katara's smile spread as well.
"Visions of the future?"
Katara turned to see Aang leaning against a pole behind her. "What do you mean?"
Aang walked up next to Katara. He was still younger than her but now was at least a head taller than her. She sometimes forgot how much they had grown since their little adventure together. A scream was heard as the boy attached Zuko and their attention back to the boy beating Zuko. "Zuko playing with your son. Visions of the future. Of what you want."
Katara scoffed. "Aang you and I have already had this conversation."
"And you do not want to bring a baby into this world when it is still so unstable." Aang said with a sigh. "But Katara think about this for a minute. When was the last time the world was safe? And is the world ever truly safe or do we just trick ourselves into thinking it is?"
"Aang I don't need the Avatar, I need my friend." Katara said as Zuko overly acted about being hit. "You and I both know that no one will let me marry Zuko. We are two very powerful people. Everyone is still on edge about the fire nation becoming too powerful again. They would never let it happen.
"I am being your friend Katara." Aang said as he watched the boy scream as he ran at the fallen Zuko. "Maybe it is time to let that wall down. It is clear that you will be married soon whether you want it or not. Might as well make it something you want instead of being miserable your entire life. And if you have to go through a few fights with some councils to make it happen so be it. It wouldn't be worth it if it was easy."
Katara stood there and thought about Aang's words as the boy pointed his word sword at Zuko's stomach. Zuko gave up and complimented the boy on how great of a fighter he would be one day. Katara let a small smile once again grace her lips. "Aang I think you might be right."
"I'm the Avatar, I am always right." Aang said with a sarcastic tone as Zuko walked towards them.
"Well he seems like a nice boy." Zuko said a little out of breath.
"He kicked your ass." Aang said with a smile.
Zuko smirked at the younger man. "I am pretty sure he could beat you when you are trying right now." Aang returned the smile from the man. "Were we suppose to meet and I forgot?"
"No. I was just going to practice some bending before lunch. When I got here you were already practicing." Aang said as he motioned to the boy still out playing with his wooden sword.
"Well we are done, so it is all yours." Zuko said as he motioned to the arena. "I think I need to rest. I'm not quiet at 100%."
"Zuko! Can we fight some more?" The boy yelled from the center of the arena.
Zuko looked at the boy in front of him. His side was killing him. He was pretty sure something might be torn but who could say no to a face like that.
"Actually. I was wondering if someone would practice with me?" Aang said interrupting Zuko's thought. "Would you by chance be free to help me?"
The little boy became even more excited. Not only did he get to practice with the Fire Lord today but now he is going to get practice with the Avatar. "Yes!"
Katara smiled at how excited the boy was. "I think he wants to work on his bending. Why don't you show him what you have been learning."
The boy nodded as he headed out to the center of the arena with Aang talking about the latest thing he had just learned from Katara, a water whip.
"You think he will be ok." Zuko asked as he took Aang's place next to Katara.
Katara laughed as the boy shot a burst of water at Aang, who barley dodged it. "I think he will be fine." Turning her attention to Zuko she spoke again. "Now what hurts?"
A/N: Well what do you think? The next round swordsmanship will be in the next chapter. :-)
