Day 1

Explanations

"So," Yuuko turned around, looking over the couch as she narrowed her eyes at Hideyoshi, "where have you been?" Her brother should have been home a long time ago - he should have been home before even she got home. But no, Hideyoshi was nowhere to be found when she arrived home. Does that idiot not know how much she worries about him!? Although she doesn't like to admit it, though.

"Sorry sis, for not telling you." Hideyoshi softly told her, knowing that he was going to get in some kind of trouble with her. Hopefully, she'd be too distracted by him having a girlfriend to punish him. "I was out with a girl and time slipped away from me. Sorry."

Yuuko's expression didn't lighten up any as she rested her cheek against her hand. "Oh, so let me guess. You were out window shopping with one of your friends and then you got carried away trying outfits on. Am I right?" He couldn't see her other hand, and that worried him a little.

"I wasn't window shopping or trying on outfits, sis."

"Oh, so was it that you got invited to a café to eat sweets with your friend?"

He briefly wondered if she'd be reacting differently if he had said he was out with a boy - but that was just a passing thought, though he was a bit tempted to say he had been out on a date with a boy just to see her reaction. "That's kind of right..."

"Kind of?"

"Well, I went to a café with my girlfriend and-"

The atmosphere suddenly changed, though his sister's expression did not change in the slightest. Hideyoshi couldn't continue, though no one interrupted him. It was just the look in his sister's eye, preventing him from speaking any further. He just had to wait until she spoke.

"What?" Was her first word, his twin just staring at him blankly until she found some more words to say. "You got a girlfriend...?" He gave off a short nod, Yuuko standing up onto her feet in response. "Somebody actually wants to go out with you? A girl!?"

What did she mean by 'a girl'? Of course it's a girl! "Yes, that's right, sis."

"..." Yuuko continued to stare at him, not believing that he had actually gotten a girlfriend despite his girly looks and girly personality - not to mention that he's an idiot. She walked over to him, looking him close in the eyes to make sure that he was telling her the truth.

It didn't seem like he was lying, so that meant he had really gotten a girlfriend... What, what, kind of girl would want to date her girly brother!? He's not just girly with his looks, but also his personality! Wouldn't a girl be more likely to be jealous of him than want to date him!?

"Sis?"

Yuuko narrowed her eyes as she thought of just what kind of girl would want to be her brother's girlfriend. Could it be a girl who thinks he is a girl, or a girl who is into both girls and guys? She just had to know, and that was what brought her to her demand. "Bring her over here." She ordered him, her arms crossed as she kept a glare focused on his eyes.

"What for?" Hideyoshi asked calmly.

What for? Of course it was because she wanted to see what kind of girl would go out with her girly twin. "I want to make sure she isn't someone you shouldn't be going out with." ... That was the only reason, right? But then, why were her words different from what she was thinking?"

"S-sis... you're not Father..."

"Shut up and just bring her over here." Yuuko told him, pouting as she went back to the couch. She didn't want to be compared to their father - after all, he's an idiot too.

Hideyoshi smiled at his sister's back, feeling a little happy about her demand and her rather obvious caring; and even though she sometimes got a little violent, it still was so very nice to have a sister like her. When Yuuko noticed he was smiling at her, she gave him a weird look before he started to head up into his room, intending to change into some more comfortable clothes before coming back down and reading until it was time to make dinner.
