TheAlabasterPhoenyx – Thank you! I have to consider that if I were to include my OC in the Sherlock world where Moriarty is a very dangerous man to deal with, I have to make my character accordingly. You're welcome. I hope you'll like it until the end.
I found him first. Don't worry, you're next ;)
Evangelin felt goosebumps as she read the message that came from Michael's phone. Her hand trembled as she continued to stare at the message.
Moriarty was faster than she thought. It was definitely Moriarty who texted her.
The reputation of the world's only consulting criminal precedes him and so it only proved how reckless she'd been to underestimate him which was still closed which could only mean two things. One, Michael was abducted and the second one was that Michael was already dead. They chose to have separate hotels for such incidents and that before nine in the evening with except if they had to do preparations for the job. It was a rule that they should open their lights to let the other know that they are safe and seeing the lights were out and the fact that it wasn't Michael who answered his phone confirmed that someone must have found out their plans or could it be possible that Moriarty has already found them?
If Michael was really dead, she has to finish the tasks that were supposed to be done by Michael. It would be difficult but then again, she doesn't have any choice but to finish what they had started. Mourning was something she has experienced at such a young age made her aware that nothing is permanent ad so it was easier for her not to feel attached to anyone. Losing Michael was no exemption, she somehow sees the man as her father as he was the one who developed her skills was already dead.
She moved the curtain just a little bit so that she could see the other hotel through her window. The hotel where Michael was staying was located opposite to her and the lights on his room were still off. She took a few deep breaths before dialing 17 on her phone. It has crossed her mind to dial the number of the hotel but she was in doubt whether the one who would pick up the phone was an associate of Moriarty. Moriarty was more dangerous than she has estimated and that checking the hotel herself was far too dangerous. She could sense that he was still there in the hotel, waiting for her to appear and look for Michael.
Just as she heard a voice from the other line, she told in fluent French that there's been a strange noise coming from the opposite room in the hotel she was staying and that the man who wasn't answering her calls. She had to pose as a concerned citizen and it was a lie that the police officers have to believe as she could not let herself fall in Moriarty's trap. There were still questions that are being asked but she turned off her phone immediately.
Every minute that passed seem to feel like an hour as she continued to walk back and forth inside her room. The sound of the police siren quickly caught her attention, watching it through the window as the police officers left the car. It wasn't long until the ambulance came. A small crowd was already forming near the scene while she could see below the road that some were just glancing before they move on.
Her suspicions were confirmed when a fully covered body was brought out of the hotel. She fought back tears that have already formed in her eyes, her hand covering her mouth in utter shock that the man whom she had spoken earlier in the morning was gone. The one who taught her everything she knew in planning and executing heists will no longer be a part of her life. There was no doubt that the one responsible for the crime was the one who was hunting her. Moriarty. She could not afford to mourn at the moment when the plan was only a few steps away from being executed.
It was a fatal game she was playing and now someone has paid the price; there was no stopping now. She's been pulling several jobs with Michael and none of it fell short. The details of the plans from the beginning up to its completion were done meticulously. The final act that they would suppose to perform together in Paris was planned by Evangelin herself but what has gone wrong? A simple explanation could be "Moriarty" happened.

Adjusting the plan that was supposed to be taken care of originally by the end of the month, Evangelin had to push it through until next week. The longer she stays in France, the more dangerous it'd get. It may not be just Michael's last job but hers as well. It was almost midnight, the only light in the room was the one that was being provided by Evie's laptop screen. The schedule of their target for the month was there and so far, she already had come up with possible alternatives to finish what they had started.
It wasn't easy planning everything all by herself. Heist movies on the other hand made it look easy when everything should be plan, every single detail matters. Looking again to her target's schedule, she noticed the masquerade ball that her target would host in his château. There'd be plenty of people and that it'd be easier to blend in without raising much suspicion.
She stood up from her seat and took another phone in her suitcase, a special phone made for her extracurricular activities. She texted Ted to inform him of the new set of plans, specifying what he only needs to do without discussing everything as her identity still needs to be concealed. Even if Ted was someone she'd work with for a few years, she still can't fully trust him yet. He was always kept under the dark with a large sum of money to shut him up.
Moriarty knew already she was a woman and she had no plans to add any useful information that would enable him to know who she was. It didn't take long before her phone rang and as soon as she opened it, the person on the other line spoke. She took out a voice changing device that she needed for the conversation.
"Fox, why the change of heart?" Ted asked, the sound of the keyboard being pressed played in the background.
"I give you money, you give me answers. Aren't our relationship, clear?" She replied, her voice distorted with the voice changer device that she and Michael used when contacting people for their heist.
"You don't have to be bossy." Ted mumbled.
"I need a list of all the guests in the 50th birthday of Mr. Graham Monnier's and the anniversary of the this coming Friday at his Château, the black and white masquerade on Saturday, and the centennial anniversary of the company that this Leroy guy own. "
"When?"
"As soon as possible. Tomorrow morning your time."
"It won't be that easy to find out."
"Just a few more help and three hundred thousand Euros will be yours."
"Just a few more help huh?"
"Probably a few more days."
"Is that all?"
"Yes. I'll call you when I need you."
"Alright. Adios."

After finishing the conversation he had with the notorious thief, Ted sighed and typed on the screen.
Ted: Fox is still in Paris. Phone's untraceable but he'd be in the black and white masquerade ball. Will send full details later.
M: Till when will Fox stay?
Ted: A few more days.
M: Very good! Half of the payment is done.
Just like that, Moriarty signed off. Ted checked his bank account to see that there's an increase of zeroes at the end of his savings. A satisfied grin crept on his face, knowing that before Fox could end whatever scheme he's up to, he'd be a millionaire by then. Despite working with Fox for years, Ted knew what was important in his business was to chose the winning side and in this case, he knew that he'd have to side for Moriarty now that the criminal mastermind has found him.

Moriarty was more than satisfied. He was able to track down the infamous thief that's been on Interpol's file for years which proves what a clever man he was. His contact that helped tremendously with tracking down the thief doesn't even know that fox wasn't just a guy but a pair who works together in every heists that was claimed under the name Fox.
Looking on his schedule, he almost forgot about the date with actress who pretended to be just a tourist. Something seemed wrong with her and he had to admit that he was just a tiny bit intrigue about her but from the looks of it, she's like any of the ordinary people he'd met before with a secret. Trying to fit the thief and the girl in his schedule just won't do and so he had to choose what's more entertaining for him which was Fox. He called her and ended up in her voice mail which he hoped for.
"Hi. Michelle? Um…You're probably asleep right now. I'm calling you in the middle of the night." He chuckled as he tried to act as the Jim she met on the street of Paris.
"I love to meet you tomorrow. I really do but something came up with business. One of my partners had an argument with a big client so I have to be the one and fix it. I really want to be on our date but it's just not the right time I guess. I'm so sorry. Maybe next time, we'll meet again yeah?"
The last line was just another lie. Maybe they could meet again but it'd be the first and last time to call her. He's acting seem plausible as Michelle may have not notice anything wrong with him. Too gullible and naïve for his taste. It was good that it went to her voice mail, saving him from the pain of having to talk with the actress again. Maybe she was already asleep, he thought.
He could easily ditch tracking the woman as his men could easily take good care of it however it was a good distraction from making plans and helping people fix their own problems. Fox was getting in the way of work and it would bring him pleasure to bring the criminal down for good. What he wasn't sure of was how he would end the thief, would he just kill her or throw her in the jail to rot?

Evangelin laid on the bed, waiting for list of guests to be provided by Ted, her source to anything that could affect her job. Ted of course doesn't know that she's even a woman.
While lying on bed, she got Jim telling her that he can't go because something came up with his business and as much as he wanted to be with her, his hectic schedule doesn't let him be. Jim's message was the only time she remembered Jim asking her for dinner tomorrow. It was one of the many phones she had with her; she didn't even have the energy to speak to him so she let it go to her voice mail instead. Evangelin pitied Jim as she thought that the man doesn't even have a chance to begin with. Maybe he could have had a shot to her if only she doesn't have to be the notorious thief hiding under the alias she inherited from Michael who had been her partner to be called as 'fox'. It was a smart scheme since the police were only looking for a single person when in fact there were two of them who were doing all the heists.
She was about to close her laptop to prepare herself for the tasks that she'd have to do for tomorrow when an alert notice appeared on her main. A yawn escaped her mouth as she lazily clicked the content of the message. It turns out that the alert notice was a response to the puzzle she posted on a website under the username Rumpelstilskin. She clicked to the link on her mail to the website called "Science of Deduction" to see the response she received. It was a relatively new site and it took the site owner had a few days to solve the puzzle she posted probably because he's been busy with some client of his since there were several posts on his website. Knowing the mind behind the website, If she doesn't have anything to bargain for him then she doubt that he would not take any interest in solving the puzzles she'd been sending him in exchange for some information that she along with her several sources could do or get him.
Only took an hour to solve. - SH
Show off as always, she thought before closing her laptop and drift into sleep.
