Blame Game
chapter three
"He was in love with her and it wasn't that he didn't know how to communicate his love for her, more than he couldn't express his love for her. He was a business man, working in the underworld, for a lack of a better term, and if he showed any interest in her, she would be targeted, by everyone and anyone who wanted him out the picture. That, he couldn't handle. However, he didn't want to let her go. He wanted to capture her, have her writhing and shivering at the mere thought of him. Honestly, he was a sadist at best, a softcore kind of pornographic novel."
'That's so miserable. How could anyone be subject to that kind of love?'
Edd stopped, his thoughts wandering. How could anyone sit through that kind of mental anguish? How could they handle being seen as a sexual object and a little less of a human being? Like, a possession to be dominated and possessed. And to be suddenly tossed to the side whenever needed. It was a depressing kind of love, the kind that deteriorates a human being from the inside out.
"I'm not sure Ami. The human mind plays a lot of tricks on the heart," Edd said slowly, unable to provide her with a better answer.
Edd shook his head. It was time to move away from this topic, hearing it made his stomach plummet and gave him a strange feeling of de ja vu.
"Now, how was your thanksgiving dinner? Was all well with Yumi and the others?" Edd was supposed to be there for her family's thanksgiving dinner, however his mother pleaded him to stay and spend the dinner with their "new" family.
'Family..'
The very thought of it made Edd's skin crawl. Edd loved his mother, he did. But staying in that house felt too foreign to him. Especially after that night he came home…
He could still feel Kevin's tongue on his skin, his teeth nipping at his flesh. It made him shiver in disgust. He wasn't homophobic, not in the least. He's had friends who were gay, such being Mac and Bloo. Prior to Mac and Bloo dating, Edd had to play as Mac's boyfriend to deter anyone from making any passes towards him and occasionally making Bloo jealous.
Sure, they're shared a few pecks and held hands, but that was strictly business in a friendly way.
Mac knew Edd's preference in women and his interest in Ami.
But Kevin's touch… shook his body to the core.
'…next thanksgiving right?'
"Oh! Could you repeat that once more, Ami? I'm afraid I didn't catch what you said." How careless, how did he forget that he was talking to such a lovely girl and completely tune himself out of their conversation?
'It's okay silly. You're probably very tired. I said that though it was very lonely, I'm looking forward to the next thanksgiving. Next time, you'll be here celebrating with all of us, okay?'
A small smile crossed Edd's lips. She was such a doll. How could he say no to a lovely girl like her?
"Of course, Ami. I won't miss it for the world, Christmas is coming up fast though – so I'll come and visit you then. Does that sound good?"
A loud squeal pierced Edd's ears and he pulled his cellphone away, turning down the volume in the process.
"That sounds perfect! Yumi and I will be doing a benefit concert for the homeless, so will you be coming to that too?"
"The one that's always held at Foster's Home?" Foster's home was known for keeping the homeless off the street and having them stay until they can get back up on their feet. They also run an adoption for the kids who manage to wind up there for one reason or another.
'Bingo! Come by this year, I'm sure everyone will love to see your face.
"I'll be there, promise." Edd said warmly.
"But Ami? I have to go now, I have a swim meet that I need to prep up for."
'All right! Knock 'em dead! Tell me when your next meet happens, and I'll bring the gang!'
"Sounds wonderful, Ami. I'll tell you when the final meets come, that'll be when it'll be more interesting to watch." It was true. Right now, Edd was sloppier than he was back with his father. However, once he gets a chance to sharpen his swimming again, he'll be worth watching.
'Regardless of how well you're swimming, we would all want to see you compete. Good luck Edd!'
"Thank you. Bye."
Talking to Ami really set his nerves straight. Even though thinking about his stepbrother made his skin crawl, he could think about it without feeling so disgusted.
He meant to tell Ami about him, what had happened that night, but the conversation was going so well, he didn't want to worry her about his new life with his mother.
'I mean, there were no other instances following that night…' Edd reasoned to himself. The following morning, Kevin roused earlier than he normally did and carried on as usual. It was as if the night before never happened and as if Edd didn't exist.
It worried Edd to an extent. How could Kevin carry on and pretend he did no wrong to him. They were about to be brothers, for pete's sake! Even though they didn't share the same blood, he shouldn't be doing those kind's of things to him.
Thank the Lord though, for the cold weather. The morning after, Kevin did leave an ungodly mark on his neck. It wasn't that dark of a mark, but noticeable enough to wear a turtleneck.
It took a few days, but the mark finally disappeared.
It was as if the whole time that the mark was there, it was a sole reminder of what had happened that night.
Edd meant to ask Kevin what led him to do those things and if his intentions are as cruel and dark as his heart…
There would be no way for him to stay in that house any longer.
A small sigh escaped Edd and he headed towards the school building. He didn't really want to swim, it took a lot of him to shape up to be the kind of child his mother wanted. She threw him in many sports, hoping that he would turn out…someone not like his father.
Fortunately, swimming felt more of a relaxer than a sport and Edd quickly grew into it. Swimming could never rival his love for knowledge and studying, but it kept his mother happy. And anything to keep his mother happy made him happy.
Just being the kind of person Edd was, he had to put some effort.
"Vincent, get your ass over to the lockers! We are about to start!" A voice rumbled from across the room. Edd jumped, startled by the vulgarity of who seemed to be the coach. His eyes scanned the faces looking back at him and he felt his face grow warm.
Was he that late?
"Of course!" Edd said, nervously walking towards the set of doors that led to the locker room. Wasting no time, Edd stripped down to his swim gear and folded his clothes neatly into an empty locker. Just because he was late, doesn't mean he had to be sloppy.
"Move it or lose it!"
Edd hustled to the bleachers, sitting on the front row. If he came earlier, he would sit in the middle, not too far from the coach but not too close either.
"Now that we're all here," the coach said, making a pointed glance at Edd, "I am Coach Mojo-jojo for the varsity team and I expect nothing but the best…"
Drowning in his thoughts, Edd tuned him out. There were so many things that he needed to get done before the holidays came and he done nothing to prepare for it at all. There were last minute projects thrown at him by his teachers and gifts he had yet to buy. It was already December and he done nothing but gallivant with the Ed's and play the good son at home.
The only thing he wanted to do was swim.
"No swimming is necessary today, but if you girls want to practice, feel free to do so." With that the coach waved his hands and dismissed the swimmers.
Edd waited for the crowd to disperse a bit before descending the bleachers. If there was anything he wanted the most, it was to swim.
He walked the edge of the pool, relieved to see that no one picked up the coach's offer to swim. Easing into the water, Edd kicked himself off the wall and swam. Everything that caused him uneasiness and discomfort washed away. His parent's seemingly untimely divorce. Going back to the cul-de-sac and living with his mother's lover and his demonic son. Leaving behind a truly wonderful girl in an empty city.
Edd flipped over to his back, breathing deeply. It's been a while since he relaxed like this.
So why not soak it all up before he had to go home?
"Oh baby, let me soak you up."
A small grunt left Kevin's lips and he grabbed the blonde female's hips. She talked too much when they fucked, so much she forgot to do her job. He lifted her and brought her back down, focusing on nothing but getting his sexual fix.
They were going at it for a while now. As soon as he came home, she bombarded him with sexual favors and bared her scantily clothed body while he was putting away his school gear.
How could he deny an offer so brazen like that?
Even if he was getting tired of her and her clingy antics.
"Yes baby, hit it like that."
Tired of her talk, Kevin grabbed her by the neck and flipped their positions. His hands grabbed her legs and he placed them on his shoulders, slamming into her. He wanted to orgasm now and he wasn't getting it if she kept opening her yap like that.
He glanced at her. Her hands gripping the sheets. Her eyes closed and mouth opened with nothing but moans coming out.
The dweeb kinda' looked like her.
He had darker features of course, but they had the same round almond-shaped eyes. The same upturned-button nose and the same rosy lips. His lips were a little longer in width and a little plumper than hers, but they essentially looked the same.
They looked so fucking alike. Kevin's breath hitched, a fire of energy igniting.
"I'm coming!"
He thrusted into her, his pace quickening as his body grew hotter. He swallowed, feeling beads of sweat form at various parts of his body.
Where did he find this renewed vigor?
He stole another glance at the blonde in his bed and for a moment, her face changed, melting into a face he didn't want to see.
Kevin pulled out, semen jetting out of his member. Shockwaves reverberated throughout his body, the kind he had when he first slept with the broad. It was different kind of release and he knew it wasn't because of her.
"Oh baby…" Eris mumbled coyly, her hands reaching to touch Kevin.
"Go take a shower, your dweeb of a son will be coming home soon." Kevin got up and headed towards the dresser, plucking a few tissues from the dispenser. Truly, he didn't care if the dweeb caught him fucking his mother. It would be a hassle, considering the fact that the dork was such a saint, it would end up with him leaving the house or letting the fact slip to someone that he caught his soon to be stepbrother sleeping with his mother.
The latter would be fine for Kevin. Of course he would be booted out the house, but if he was going down, he was going to take the broad with him.
However, he couldn't accept his dear stepbrother walking out on the family so soon.
He couldn't let him leave at all. He had his dues to pay for as well.
"Can't you be a little nice to my baby? He's nothing short of a sweetheart. He may resemble his father…but he has more of my promising features."
"Slutty and have no regards to whom he sleeps with?"
Within moments, Kevin heard the bed creak and felt a body pressed close against him.
"Baby, baby, don't get it all wrong now. If we're talking about sleeping around, you should exercise some caution in categorizing me in that. After all, it's not like you're saying no…"
Turning on her heel, she made her way out his room, her hips swaying as she left. Kevin rolled his eyes, gritting his teeth.
Getting involved with her was one of the biggest mistakes he could ever make. Time after time, he questioned why he kept accepting her invitations when he should be saying no. He should be exposing her for the whore that she is, but something inside him wanted to keep her around.
Maybe it was the feeling of gratification he felt when he fucked her, having her scream his name. That his father's new broad was the kind of woman who had no reserves in sleeping with his son. Or maybe it was because she was the woman his father cheated on his mother on. And every time she screamed his name in his father's house, it was revenge for his mother. Then one day, his father will catch the both of them fucking around and will see how much it hurts to see someone he cares about throw him away for nothing.
'That'll be the day,' Kevin chuckled to himself. He knew that if that were to ever happen, he could say goodbye to his comfortable lifestyle.
However, to take her down was worth every single shit he would have to deal with.
He just has to find the right time for everything to fall into place.
The only thing he didn't expect was the broad marrying into the family and bringing the dweeb into the family as well.
It wasn't as if it changed too much, now that he sees how much the broad favors her son, he could throw him into the mix as well.
Even though he didn't do anything, the two sharing the same blood and looking so goddamn alike was enough of a reason for him to make his life a living hell.
"I'm home."
'The dweeb's home already?' Kevin thought to himself, stealing a glance at the clock. It was a little earlier than usual for him to come home. Typically, the dweeb wouldn't come home until it was late at night and even then, he went straight to bed.
Kevin slipped on his boxers, emerging from the bedroom. He might as well greet his brother. The dork wouldn't announce his arrival if he didn't expect anyone to greet him back.
"Wouldn't expect you to be home so early," Kevin said from the top of the stairwell. He eased his way down, relishing the surprised look on Edd's face.
'That's right dweebo, look away.' Kevin thought to himself smugly. He relished the fact that Edd had averted his eyes as soon as he met his, but not after doing a once over on Kevin's physique.
"Good evening, Kevin."
Kevin watched him slip off his shoes and grab his slippers. It was a habit he remembered him having when they were younger, but he figured that he would've grow out of that dumb OCD stage of his life.
Creeping up beside him, Kevin slammed his fist against the wall. Edd jumped, his eyes catching Kevin's once more. Leaning over, Kevin's face hovered over the nape of Edd's neck.
"Smell like the fucking swimming pool," Kevin murmured, inhaling deeply. Kevin bit back a gag forming in the back of his throat.
"Of course. I am currently involved in our school's swim team and I felt as if I was ill-prepared for try-outs, so I exercised a little prior to coming home," Edd said, taking a step back.
"I apologize for the chemical odor emitting from my body, however I will be showering soon." With that, Edd scurried away from Kevin. Kevin watched him set his backpack down and followed him into the kitchen.
"Is there something I can assist you with?" Edd asked in a small voice.
"I've been having some…problems in class here and there and it's showing on my grades. Recently, the coach hammered some useless shit into me, that if I keep fucking up, well you should already know what's gonna happen and what I'm about to ask," Kevin said smoothly walking past Edd and grabbing a soda can from the fridge.
"You require my assistance?"
"It's looking like it. I mean, I could do a little persuasive talking, but seeing how my teacher's a male, I don't think I could much to influence him," Kevin said offhandedly.
'Is he fucking dumb?' Kevin thought to himself, seeing Edd blink a few times.
"Well…"
Sensing he was about to get rejected, he approached Edd, throwing his arm loosely around his shoulders.
"Aren't we gonna be brothers? It'll be an easy jumpstart to this crazy shit we're gonna have," Kevin said, looking Edd straight in the eyes.
"Brothers?" Kevin watched as Edd's eyes glazed over and for an added measure, he gave him a small smile.
"Yep. So why not, dweeb? In the end, we're both gonna be here. Why not do something about it?"
"If you put it that way, then I suppose I'll do it. But please let me know beforehand if you require my assistance," Edd started out slowly.
'Heh. Gotcha',' Kevin fought back the urge to smirk. The dweeb didn't know what was coming to him at all.
And it was fucking perfect.
"Well, well, well, isn't it both of my babies, getting along and spreadin' the suga'."
Kevin grimaced and met the eyes of a towel-clad Eris. He rolled his eyes and tightened his grip on Edd. If anything, she was not coming close to him at all. If he knew her well enough, she wouldn't dare make a move in front of her son. No matter how revealing she was, it should all be for a show.
"Mother…" Edd said tiredly, a small sigh escaping his lips.
Kevin glanced at the smaller male, even he was tired of his mother's antics.
"Baby, I just heard some talking and I rushed downstairs and lo' and behold, I see my two babies getting along. Being affectionate without a doubt. You know, Coop and I were talkin' a bit and we were just a little worried that the babies wouldn't get along, but look at you two now!"
"Are you done with the shower, broad?" Kevin asked coldly. He was so tired of her mouth, she couldn't learn to shut her trap at all. He felt Edd's eyes on him and unconsciously gave him a little squeeze.
"Well, ah, yes," Eris said taken aback.
"I'm gonna go shower before you dorko, I feel like I had a fatass of a pig spread its mucus all over me," Kevin said offhandedly, pulling his arm away and heading towards the stairs.
"Oh, take your time then," Edd replied.
'You don't know what kind of game you're getting yourself into, dweeb. And this is the game you won't be able to win,' Kevin thought to himself.
The gears were now in motion and if he could play his cards right, he'll get three birds with one stone.
It's about time he stopped playing from the sidelines.
Author's Note: It's been a long time, but here's the next installation of Blame Game. I've been working a lot and my hours have changed so I haven't been writing regularly. Anyways, the slow chapters have gotten out of the way and now we're gonna head towards more Kevin/Edd encounters, etc. I didn't really like writing this chapter, coz I hate dealing with the slowness of it all, so I hope you guys are looking forward to the next few chapters with me. Tell me what you guys think. Ciao!
