Separation

Her name is Otachi. She is a kaiju, and was tricked by her own creators to go through the portal and destroy 'Earth'. She was never told about the dangers that lay there. She is knocked out by a mysterious, mechanical beast, and when she wakes up, she realizes her unborn baby has been taken from her. And she will find him. Dead or alive.

4. Earth

There was a bright flash. It was almost as if my eyeballs were about to be melted off, but to my relief that was not the case. I felt my whole, huge body be engulfed by energy.

A myriad of bright lights flashed around me. It was as if I was moving through dimensions. I flew through a strange landscape, beautiful yet alien at the same time. I thought at first that this was 'Earth', until I was finally placed into the actual planet 'Earth'.

I was surrounded by water. Kaiju like me have gills, so water was not a problem.

The others were dotted around me.

'Go! Do what you must do!' Slattern ordered.

Leatherback and I began to swim up to the surface.

'What do you think Earth's surface will be like?' I asked.

'Ugh... Otachi, I really don't know.'

'Do you think my baby will be okay?'

'Of course! You will be okay, you and your baby. We will be back home in a few hours, unless we experience those... 'delays'.'

'Trespasser... Knifehead... the others, they must all have died by now. Something, I just know that something has been killing them all.'

There was a silence between us, as we thought about what could have happened to the other Kaiju, and in only a few minutes, us...

'We'll find out about what happened to them. We'll find out very soon.' Leatherback growled, as air bubbles slowly flew out of his mouth.

I suddenly felt a large, alien presence at the surface. I began to feel uneasy, anxious even.

'We should split up. Something is at the surface. Something big. Something dangerous. I will go in for the first attack, then you finish off whatever the fuck is up there,' I said. My voice was beginning to get shaky in my fear.

'I thought you wanted me to protect you.'

'No, this is what could be kidnapping- maybe even killing- the others. Also, I am specialized in fast, light attacks. I could harm it until you surprise it and destroy it with a single one of you powerful hits. You should be the one to finish the job.'

Leatherback nodded, then swam away. I finally lay just below the waters surface, near the strange thing.

It seemed mechanical, and was huge.

And I could sense it has hostile intentions...
