Santana pulls up outside of the Berry home and only has to wait a few minutes before her girlfriend exits her house and gets into the car.
"Good morning Santana" Rachel greets.
Santana leans over to her girlfriend and gives her a proper greeting in the form of a kiss.
"Morning baby" Santana replies.
She reverses out of the Berry's driveway and heads towards school.
"Do you want to come over tomorrow night and watch scary movies? We can order in and just cuddle in bed. I'll even make your favorite cookies" Rachel asks.
"Sounds good."
"My dads said you can even stay the night."
"That sounds even better" Santana says.
When they arrive at school, they hold hands as they walk down the hallway to Rachel's locker.
"So I'll go through my collection tonight and find us some scary movies to watch" Santana says.
"Okay. You might as well bring your overnight bag to school so we can go straight to my house afterwards."
"Sounds great baby. I can't wait to spend Halloween with you."
Rachel shuts her locker and pulls Santana in for a kiss.
"Want to eat lunch in the auditorium?" Santana asks.
"That sounds like a wonderful idea. I'll meet you there" Rachel replies and with one last kiss the couple part ways so they can attend their morning classes.
Santana arrives at her first class and sits in her usual seat at the back of the classroom. A few minutes later Puck arrives and stands in front of her desk.
"Sup Lopez. Halloween party at mine tomorrow night."
"I can't, Rachel and I are staying in watching movies."
"Fuck Lopez, when did you get so boring? You can watch movies with the wife any day of the week. This is a once in a life time Puckerman Halloween spectacular."
"Okay, we'll be there, but this party better not disappoint" Santana says.
"Trust me, you know I never disappoint."
"Mr. Puckerman can you please take your seat." Mrs. Johnson, the English teacher shouts.
Santana laughs at her friend as he takes his seat at the front of the room where the teacher can keep an eye on him.
When Rachel arrives at the auditorium at lunch she finds that Santana is already there waiting for her.
"Hello Santana, how has your day been so far?" she greets as she sits next to her girlfriend on the floor.
"Boring as usual, but Puck's having a Halloween party tomorrow night and I told him that we would go."
"I thought that we were going to stay in and watch a scary movie under the covers."
"We were but Puck invited us to his party which he promises will be awesome" Santana says.
"I don't want to spend the night with drunken people who use Halloween as an excuse to dress up as sluts. Wouldn't you rather spend the night with just the two of us?"
"As much as I love it when you cling to me when we watch a scary movie, I want to go to Puck's party. People will expect me to be there."
"So, you don't always have to do what is expected of you."
"I'm not. I want to go, it sounds like fun" Santana replies.
"I'll agree to go with you to this party if we can dress as Galinda and Elphaba from Wicked."
"Nope, no way in hell."
"It's the only way that I'll agree to going to this party with you" Rachel says.
"Then it looks like I'm going alone."
"So you'd rather spend Halloween apart rather than together just because you won't dress up in a costume I want."
"Why do we always have to do what you want?" Santana asks.
"We don't. If we did what I wanted to do then we would be staying in and watching movies. I compromised and offered to go to the party with you."
"Yes but only if I dressed up like a dick, matching costumes are fucking stupid. I'm going to Puck's party and I'm going to wear what I want, if you don't want to then that's fine. I'll just go by myself" Santana says before walking out of the auditorium.
They don't speak for the rest of the day. It's what happens when you have two people that are both too stubborn to give in or at least compromise. They ignore each other the next day too and it isn't until Rachel is sitting on her bed alone at nine o'clock that she decides to give in.
She manages to find most of the zombie costume she used last year when they did the Titan's half time show and quickly changes into it. She's hoping to find Santana at Puck's party, she didn't care anymore about the argument she just wants to spend Halloween with her girlfriend.
Rachel finishes applying her makeup and gives herself one last look in the mirror. When she grabs her cell phone she notices that she has a text from Kurt informing her that there was going to be a flash mob on the school's football field.
She slips the cell phone in her pocket and leaves the house.
When she arrives at the school there are a couple of cars parked in the parking lot, but she assumes that most of the people would be too drunk to drive.
The football field is filled with people and Michael Jackson's Thriller was being blasted out of someone's stereo. She knows that Santana will be here somewhere, but she isn't sure she'll be able to find her especially since she didn't know what her girlfriend was dressed as.
Rachel searches for nearly ten minutes before she hears someone call her name. She turns around and finds Santana wearing a witch's costumes complete with a green face.
"You're Elphaba" Rachel says.
"If I'm going to be a witch, then I'm going to be the wicked one right?" Santana jokes.
"It's really hard to imagine you other than incredibly sweet at the moment."
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have blown off our night like it was nothing. I was stubborn and I went to Puck's party, but I was miserable there without you. So I went to Kurt and he helped me with the costume and then I set up this flash mob because I knew you wouldn't resist a flash mob."
"You did all of this for me?"
"I love you Rachel."
"I love you too."
"I thought we can hang out here for a little bit and then we can go back to your house and fit a movie in. I think you promised me cookies and cuddles."
"I think that can be arranged" Rachel smiles.
