"I'm sorry, I want you to be happy. I just don't believe a baby, any baby, would be happy with me as a father. I'm barely there as a husband. I can't imagine not being there as a father.
"I know I said that Boomer and Brick weren't good dads, but they really are. They're always there for their kids. Their kids love them. In the kids' eyes, they're heroes.
"A baby wouldn't see me in that light. I don't think a baby would even see me at all." Butch laid his head back on Buttercup's stomach, letting a few unknown tears fall, "You'd be so busy with a baby that…. I simply wouldn't exist anymore."
Hi! Wow. I was upset when I wrote what Butch said last. My sister was like, what's wrong? I just threw stuff at her and demanded she leave. Poor poor Butch. Some of this I wrote well I was suppose to be taking notes x Bad kid I know! But you love me! RAWR

Was this real or was it a nightmare? Buttercup's mind couldn't wrap itself around the situation.
"You're pregnant?! How long did you think you could hide it from me?" Butch yelled at Buttercup.
Her mind couldn't quiet respond to what he was saying. All she could do was watch him throw his things into his suitcase angrily.
"A month? Two maybe?! I think it would have been nice to know I was going to be a father!" He continued to yell.
"I wanted to tell you! I did! I just- you said you didn't want a baby!" Buttercup defended her actions.
"I can't believe I was so dumb! Of course. The puking, the fevers, the weird sleeping habits. I blinded myself by believing you!"
"Is it that bad? Butch! Its a baby! Mine and--your's!" a lump suddenly arose in Buttercup's throat. She had paused too long on the last word, Butch had noticed too.
He stopped throwing his things and slowly turned to face her.
"What was with the pause? Aren't you sure its my baby?" Looking at his eyes scared Buttercup. So lit up with anger they could have burned down the walls around them.
"I'm positive its your baby! Are you accusing me of cheating? How can I cheat if I never leave the house?! Why would I want to cheat on you?!" Buttercup stood her ground on this one.
"Why did you pause then? I didn't accuse you of anything. I asked a question." Butch's anger had toned down some.
"No one said 'YOU' had to be a father! I thought once you found out you would be happy! No," She waved her hand towards his bags, "you're packing up to leave!"
Both stayed quiet for a long minute.
A chill rushed through Buttercup. It felt like her stomach had twisted into knots. She wanted to stay strong and face Butch, but her body crumpled over.
Buttercup's eyes snapped open. Her breathing was fast and her heart almost beat out of her ribs. It was all just a nightmare. She knew this because of what she saw when she opened her eyes. Butch was asleep. His head resting against her stomach. Just like he had been the other day. She made sure not to squirm a lot. Butch looked so peaceful. Not the way he looked in her dream. No, that wasn't Butch. This was her Butch.
She petted his hair very carefully. Just the slightest amount of pressure and he would wake-up. Buttercup had learned that the hard way.
When they first got married, she thought she would be cute and make him breakfast in the morning. She just made the mistake of pushing off the mattress next to him. It took her weeks to understand how hyper-sensitive he was. Not emotionally, just unconsciously.
The twist in her stomach was still there though. The urge to fold her body over to see if it would help. She couldn't though. Maybe if she slid out ever so carefully……..success!
She didn't have time to bask in her victory. Her stomach wouldn't hold much longer. Swiftly and quietly she got to the bathroom, doing everything to drown out the sound as she possibly could.
Pretty soon her stomach would be empty. She couldn't keep anything down.
After brushing her teeth she exited the bathroom. Pleased to see Butch was still sound asleep.
She crept on through the house and into the living room. Watching movies always seemed to pass the time. She would know making time pass had become one of her specialties.
Old movies, dumb game shows, cleaning things that don't need to be cleaned, and trying to see if you can keep any food down. Just a few of the things that made time pass a little faster she'd discovered.
She had managed to stay quiet as well. Well almost.
It was the sudden crash that alerted Butch. The sound of something shattering through the house. He examined the room around him. No Buttercup. In a matter of seconds he had scanned the house. He finally found Buttercup in the kitchen. Several white plates shattered at her feet.
"Are you okay?" Butch took a few steps into the room and began picking the fragments.
Buttercup didn't respond. She just fell to her knees among the glass.
"You're gonna- look you've cut yourself! Get up." Butch scolded her but she didn't move.
She ignored the her knee was throbbing with pain from glass shards that had dug into it. She focused her eyes on Butch. She slowly extended a hand out to touch his face.
"I'm sorry." She pulled her hand back and collapsed back off of her knee. Slow and painfully removing the shards her skin had managed to snag up.
"Lets go to a resort. Just a second honeymoon or something. I wanna start over." He pushed her hands away from her bloody knee and began to cut it out himself.
"Start over?" Buttercup winced in pain as he removed one of the littler pieces.
"This time. Lets not plan everything. Lets just go and let what happens…happen." Butch stood and snatched a clean dishrag from the sink. He wet it with warm water and added some soap in as well.
"Why?" It hurt as he wiped the damp cloth over her slashed skin.
"No reason. I'll take the next week off. We'll go to a beach or something." he looked to her face for approval.
She didn't object. She didn't look thrilled though.
"Sounds fun." She smiled. Now she would have to think of ways to hide her stomach in a bikini.
"I'm glad. This house is making you miserable." He scoffed.
"Is not. I just miss not having you around." Buttercup watched her applied a large butterfly bandage to her knee.
"Well," he scooped up what was left of the plate on fallen envelope., "I'm gonna be all your's. Even though I always have been."
"Not always." He she put on a sly smile.
"I-was-young! Young boys do stupid things! Once I passed my fourteenth year I opened my eyes. Come on. Cut me some slack." He played with the ends of her hair.
"Say it." Buttercup teased.
"I love you." He kissed her nose.
"Again."
"I love you." He kissed the hallow of her neck.
"Again."
"I love you." He kissed her forehead.
"One more time." Buttercup prompted.
"Why do you like hearing 'I love you' so much?" Butch chuckled.
"I love hearing it from you. That's the only time I like it."
Butch smiled and leaned in towards her, "Buttercup," he witness her cheeks light up as he inched closer, "I," closer, "love," his lips were brushing hers, "you."
