Siren Song
Bors had managed to get Vanora to sing, and even through her protesting Dagonet could see the joy in her eyes. The song was familiar and Dag lifted the cup to his lips again.
Her song reminded him of home, and the brown-haired girl who last sang it to him. Fifteen years had not erased the memory of her or the fragile love they had just begun to share. He often dreamt of her voice beckoning him home. His girl was drifting farther away from him. Dag's eyes lifted from his drink just in time to catch sight of Arthur.
