Well hello again~
I swear I have been trying to write whenever I can. It's just hard, ya know?
So here's redone chapter 3
Enjoy~
I slowly came to. I don't know how long I've been out, but it seems like a decade. My arms and legs ached, and soon I noticed I was tied to a chair, bent over lightly. After the ringing in my ears faded, I could hear a slight tapping on the floor, like footsteps. The longer it went on, the closer they came, until they stopped directly. I tried to speak, but my voice only came out like a little crackle. Wide-eyed, I looked up at the person who had kidnapped me from the street. The shadowy figure stood over me, his bright eyes glowing in the light of the moon. The man gave a grin, and pulled my chin up, to look at his face directly.
"Well hello, beauty." He spoke. He had a heavy Scottish accent, and it was difficult to understand what he was saying. He gave a gentle chuckle when I pulled at my restraints, trying to get away.
"Get away from me…." I growled slightly, my voice still a bit scratchy from before. The man gave a laugh and let go of my chin, shoving it away with some force.
"Not until I've had a bit of fun with you." He said, kneeling before me." What do you say?" He smirked wickedly at me, looking me in the eye. I gritted my teeth and looked away. I couldn't call in Alex just yet, even though I wanted to. He gave a small, creepy chuckle and started undoing simple articles of my clothing. My vest, a few buttons on my shirt, slowly pulling the stalkings on my legs down, then he got to my hat. He pulled my cap off, letting my dark hair fall neatly on my shoulders. He looked at me in confusion that quickly turned into anger.
"What is this? A girl? You have to be bloody kidding me!" He growled angrily, and stood, standing over me with an expression of hate. He lifted his hand, backhanding my cheek hard." You girls ruin everything!"
I let out a loud gasp and a small cry of pain. He hit me hard enough to leave a bruise on my fair skin. He did it again and again, until small cuts found its way on my brow bone and jaw bone. I let out a small shriek and tried to pull away from him, making the chair fall onto its side. He let out a small laugh and looked down at me with a crazy grin.
" That's alright. I'll just have to fix you too, yeah?" He muttered, and kicked me in the abdomen. I was bleeding pretty badly, and everything was in pain, by now. I opened my mouth and gave a shaky request.
"Alex… Save me. Now." I muttered softly. The mark on my shoulder glowed a violent blood red.
"Eh? Wot was that?" The man asked and looked at me." Did you have something to say, crossdresser?" He chuckled lowly, pulling a gun from his belt." Did you say something along the lines on 'kill me' or something like that?" He asked, pointing the handgun at my head." I would be glad to grant your wish for you." He grinned and cocked the gun.
In the split moment that he should have pulled the trigger, a loud crashing should came from the other side of the room. Alex had broken a window and was hopping through the hole he made, with Sebastian and Ciel in toe.
The man looked up and instead pointed the gun at Alex." Who the hell are you?! How'd you get here?!" He asked, waving his gun like the madman he was.
Alex looked over at me." Master, are you alright?" He asked, ignoring the man before him with the gun pointed at him.
"I-I'm fine. Get him. Now," I said shakily, tugging at the ropes on my wrists." And untie me." I said and gave a frustrated noise.
He stepped over to me, cutting the ropes with a wave of his hand. He helped me off me feet and faced the kidnapper." Now then. Time to take care of you." He gave a smile and pulled off his gloves, the mark on his hand glowing bright." Must I spare him, master?" He asked, glancing at me. I could tell he was upset about me getting hurt, and wanted revenge.
"The letter said nothing about sparing him. Do what you wish." I said and rubbed my head gently. The bleeding had stopped finally, and left a stream of dried blood and a dark mark on the side of my face. I felt a bit dizzy, but I tried to keep my balance by leaning on the wall.
The man gave a frightful face and shot a few bullets into Alex, a few to the head, and some to his chest. Alex gave a gentle chuckle and turned his head to face the man.
"Was that supposed to kill me? Oh sir, you would have to do much more than that to kill me." Alex said and walked slowly to the man, who was cowering in the corner on the other side of the room. Alex held his hand out, the bullets that entered his chest and all but one that entered his head sat in his palm, covered in dark blood. He had a bullet between his canine teeth, looking down at the man with slitted eyes." Would you like to have these back or do you want them later?" he asked, spitting the last bullet into his palm." I would be glad to give them to you." He said and stooped over the man, who was shaking in fear, stuttering and yammering like a madman.
"Get away from me, you demon!" He screeched, trying to back up more, running into the wall. He had the gun still in front of him, shaking furiously.
Alex let out a small chuckle and gave a grin." Not until you pay for touching my master." He said and held his hand up. The bullets in his hand started to grow red, heating up from Alex's palm, until they were a glowing white. He gripped a hold of the man's chin, making him look up." Give my greetings to hell." He said with a smile and turned to walk off, chucking the hot bullets at intense speed towards the man, who let out a loud shriek as the bullets burned their way through his, leaving him to be a crumpled heap on the floor. Alex walked over to me, kneeling down.
"Are you alright?" He asked, frowning slightly, touching my cheek and brow bone gently with his fingertips.
I nodded and leaned against him." Take me home…" I muttered and let myself fall into his arms, passing out shortly after he caught me.
I awoke in my bed. I blinked my eyes open and looked around. I noticed Ciel's walking stick leaned against the wall next to my bed. I smiled slightly and sat up.
"He's still here." I said and winced slightly. My entire face ached and so did my ribs. There were bandages and salves over my wounds, were they were cut open. There was a nice bruise on the side of my face, but it would be easily hidden in a few days. Good thing I wasn't a sociable person. Alex could go out into town if I needed. I would risk going out into public looking like this. God knows what they would think. The ladies and lords were supposed to have flawless skin, like porcelain, but that's never true, not in our line of work.
I looked towards the widow. I noticed it was still dark out. I figured I was out for at least an hour or two at the most. I pulled the blanket off of me, sliding out of bed. I was in my sleeping shirt that was just an oversized dress shirt I had taken from Alex, although I usually wore a gown or something similar. I had a pair of black, cotton shorts on as well, that was hidden underneath the shirt, except for a small showing of the hem.
I walked over to the vanity and looked into the mirror. Alex had done a fine job cleaning my face up, washing the blood off and scrubbed the bright red blood from my hair. I know he hated getting me dressed, and taking care of things like this, but he did it. I did appreciate it. I let out a gentle sigh and slowly walked to the door, opening it and stepping out into the hall.
As I neared the end of the stairs, I heard talking coming from the kitchen. There was a small table inside of the kitchen, where I would talk to Alex while he cooked or sometimes ate at if I didn't want to get up. Alex would sit on the other side and talk with me. I figured Sebastian and Ciel were seated at the table while Alex was making tea or prepping food.
I walked to the entrance of the kitchen and walked in, rubbing my eyes gently." Alex…" I muttered and walked to where he was, behind the middle isle making tea. I looked up at him.
He looked down at me, smiling." You're awake…" He said and placed a gentle hand on my forehead." You had a small fever, but it's gone down." He said and got on one knee, to be a bit short than me and put his arms around me, in a hug." I'm glad you are alright." He said gentle, smiling.
I let out a small giggled and hugged back." I wouldn't have been without you…" I said and pulled from the hug after a bit. Alex stood again and resumed making tea. I walked over to the table where Ciel was sitting, with Sebastian standing beside him.
Ciel looked up at me and gave a slight smile." Tear… I'm glad to see you alright." He said and watched as I walked to the other chair, across the table from him to sit. I pulled my knees to my chest, resting my feet on the edge of the chair. I didn't care if it was ladylike or not. I was in pain and I deserved to do as I wish.
"I'm surprised you stayed…" I said and smiled kindly at him." You could have gone home. I would have sent a letter or visited when I felt better." I said and played with the sleeve of my shirt, resting my head on my knees.
"I know, but I was worried for you safety. I wouldn't want you to get hurt while in my care." He said and rested his chin in the palm of his hand." Although, now that you are awake, we might leave soon." He said and looked to the side.
I blinked and looked at him." You don't have to leave… Its past time to eat but I know you haven't had anything yet. Please stay, as my guests." I said and smiled." We can go up to the drawing room to pass the time." I said and looked at Alex." Can you make something that quick?" I asked
Alex nodded and smiled." Of course I can." He answered and walked to the pantry. He picked out a few things, humming to himself.
"I suppose we can stay." Ciel said and stood, holding a hand out to me. I tool his hand and stood. Sebastian stayed in the kitchen to help Alex, and the two of us headed up to the drawing room.
After a game of chess, which ended in me losing, we sat on the couches and conversed.
"I never mentioned before but… your décor for this entire estate is unique." Ciel said, looking through the many bookshelves inside of the room. He picked out a book, then put it back after a while with a satisfied nod.
I smiled softly." I'm glad you like it. My mother was very font of these sorts of things, and my father let her decorate and garden, while he took care of the many other things. She loved decorating, flowers and fashion. She was always up to date and was always ready to buy something." I giggled. I was sat in one of the couches, with a pad of paper and a pencil I had gotten from my father's desk a few years back. As I doodled on the page, Ciel picked out another book and started flipping through the pages. It was old journal of my fathers. I never read them but they were all put in order on the last shelf, next to the windows, although something must have been interesting for Ciel to stop and read it. I smiled softly to myself and flipped to a new page. I started sketching Ciel's form and added details. I wasn't great at drawing but I had gotten better, and so far, this had been one of my favorites.
After a good few minutes of scratching away at the parchment to get shading and details finished, I put my signature and the date on the right hand corner. I giggled and smiled." Ciel… Come here a moment." I said and carefully pulled the parchment off of the pad and held it up.
Ciel walked over and took the paper from my hand. He looked it over and blinked, a slight blush finding its way on his cheeks." Wow… That is very impressive, Tear." He said and gave a slight smile, handing it back to me.
"It's for you, but I'll keep it safe until you leave." I smiled widely and sat the paper pad and pencil on the coffee table between the couches." It should be nearly time for dinner. Come." I stood and walked to the door, opening it and stepping out. I walked down the stairs, with Ciel trailing close behind, and headed to the dining room. As I expected, Sebastian and Alex were speaking to each other, placing everything on the table, in order.
"Ah, I was just about to get you." Alex said and smiled, pulling out my chair for me, as I sat. Sebastain did the same to Ciel, who sat across from me. I looked down at the dish and smiled.
"You never fail to surprise." I giggled and smiled up at my beloved butler, who gave a smirk and chuckle.
"Tonight is a lamb shoulder braised with spring vegetables and green herbs with white wine. For desert is a blackberry cobbler, made by Sebastian." He said and smiled softly. I didn't expect Alex to make everything by himself, but this dish should have been done over a few hours. Demons. I swear.
I grinned and started eating, letting out a small giggle and smiled." It's delicious, Alex." I said and continued eating. Ciel nodded his agreement.
After dinner, Ciel and Sebastian decided to leave. I had walked them to the door, while Alex cleaned up.
Ciel gave a small smile and took my hand, placing a kiss atop it." Thank you for letting us stay for dinner, Tear. I will see you again soon." He said, letting go of my hand.
I giggled and smiled." I hope so. I never get many visitors, but I'd be glad to see you again." I said and smiled, waving as they left. I turned and closed the door behind my, letting out a gentle sigh. I was still exhausted and ready for bed. Alex had popped out from the kitchen, and led me upstairs to get ready for bed.
After getting ready, I curled up on my side underneath the blankets and smiled." Goodnight, Alex." I said and closed my eyes, letting myself drift off.
"Goodnight, master." Alex said with a smile, blowing the candles out.
Excuse me while I take ten years to write a chapter.
At least it's twice as long as it was before.
That's what I get for adding scenes, nyeh?
I hope you enjoyed Alex's little… mad demon spree.
He's my baby~
I need to work on making official art for them.
Anyway,
Bye bye for now~
