Sari Ai chapter 4
"Do you think they will be all right?" Muse asked
"Who knows? I seriously thought that they would be something after the Heel siblings, but nothing, I just think Kyoko needs a little push." the president said, contemplating the two most stubborn people when it came to fall in love.
The president and went off to their own jobs, or more like playing a new date game for the president, at least those characters were more willing to follow his advice.
As they started walking away hand in hand Kyoko was becoming more and more stiff. How could she hold his hand for the whole day.
"Kyoko." he said gently.
Kyoko froze hearing him say her name without honorifics. Why? Why is he doing this? She looked at him with fear, though her eyes were obscured by the sunglasses, he knew what she was thinking.
"Tsugura-san, wwww..whh..why?"
He sighed.
"Ky...Mogami-san, we are supposed to be a couple, do you really think that a couple would use a honorific way to speak with each other."
She shook her head no. After all she always called Sho, Shotarou or Sho-chan, but the way Tsuruga said it was so tender and the reason she was getting stiffer and stiffer wasn't because she wanted him to let go of her hand, but the opposite, she wanted him to hold her hand. Her feelings were being muddled and she wasn't certain she could handle it. Didn't she swear off love? Why was this man making it harder and harder and harder for her to keep her resolution.
"Then for today you must," he looked at her with determination "MUST call me by my first name with and I really mean no honorifics."
She shivered, she knew they were supposed to be a couple, but she couldn't, she just couldn't call him by his name, so intimate.
"Mogami-san" she looked up in surprise, he was taking a scolding tone with her, "don't you want to grow as an actress?" she nodded "here is the president and myself trying our best to help you" God he hated himself for doing this "and you keep on refusing our help."
"Noooooo….Tsuruga-san that's not it, please don't throw your kohei away. I'll try, i'll really try." she wailed in fear that here one more person that she was starting to feel something for was going to abandon her.
He truly hated himself, but he truly wanted her to relax, actually if he knew why she was being the way she was, he would have smiled his heavenly smile and reassure her that it was ok, that he likes her, all right maybe he wouldn't have gone so far as that, but he would have put some of her fears away, like the fact that no matter what he would never abandon her, ever.
"Kyoko," she froze again "I won't throw you away, but relax."
She nodded, smiling gently without Ren seeing her, one word from him and she always felt better.
"Yes, Tsuruga-san, yes. I'm sorry, i really am."
"I know, Mogami-san." he patted her head.
"Now then, let's try before we go outside, practice saying our name in a familiar way. I'll call you Kyoko" she nodded reluctantly "and you call me Ren."
Her head snapped up and looked at him.
"Please, Tsuruga-san can't I call you with a -sama, -san or -kun, at least, please." This was taking an extremely dangerous turn for her. She had to keep some of their distance, she had to, she would lose this constant battle she is having with her feelings otherwise.
"Kyoko, no you may not." He felt himself be reluctant to yield, he usually did but not this time.
She whimpered.
"It'll be alright," he told her gently "just try."
"Re..r...re….ren." she whispered.
He didn't really hear her.
"Kyoko I can't hear you."
'I'll be alright, i'll be alright, i'll be alright. I can do this, I can do this." She nodded her head in determination.
"Re…" she looked up in his expectant face "I can't do it."
He sighed.
Nope, she hated that sigh.
"Ren." She said louder to get his attention, anything was better than his disappointment in her.
He snapped his head to her.
"What?"
"Ren, let's go. We'll be late." She went forward tugging his hand so that he won't see her blushing. She was cherry red, but she did it and it did sound really nice to say his name.
Behind her Ren was smiling his heavenly smile and figuring out a way to keep her from calling him Tsuruga-san from now on.
