A.N: I am alive! Anyway, I'm so sorry for not updating stories in forever! D'X *OHSHC Tamaki styled shame corner* But moving along, I hope you enjoy the chapter anyways despite taking forever to finish it. :3

About a full day later, I slowly opens my eyes to see myself lying in a hospital cot. Doctors surround me begin slowly backing up to give me room to breath. One of them walks outside.

"She's waking up." He says, making room for Fumu, Bun, and Kirby to quickly come in.

"Hey..." I say softly, still a bit light-headed from the massive amount of blood lost prior to my "visit" to Meta Knight's hospital room.

Fumu, seeing me awake, became relieved. "I'm so glad your okay."

I smile. "Things would probably be the same as before. I just wouldn't be there with you." I look around the room. "How long have I been here?"

"You passed out from body strain and blood loss several hours ago." A doctor explained. "Meta knight had you admitted to a room immediately after you were out cold. It's a good thing he did too. You had been pretty battle worn after that demon beast attacked you."

I nod. I was a bit ashamed I couldn't fend for myself against that monster, but was grateful to be alive.

"So where is he?" I ask the doctor.

"Meta Knight had to tend to a mission in a distant village. Don't worry I'm sure he won't take long Miss Armani."

I nod. "I see... Well I hope he'll be alright. He was quite beat up himself earlier."

Fumu smiles. "He'll be fine. Meta Knights pretty tough and has gotten through plenty of problems before."

"Yeah... I guess your right." I smile back. "Remind me to thank him properly when he gets back.

(Meanwhile in Lunar Village)

Meta knight looks around with a sad sigh. It seemed he was too late.

All of Lunar Village was now barren and in ruin. Meta Knight hoped that the residents had just fled from the demon beast attack and nothing ten times worse than that.

He puts Galaxia back in his hilt and decides to look for survivors that may have been left in the city. When he surveyed the area, nothing had turned up. All that was left was empty houses, burn and scratch marks, items in disarray, and flipped over furniture.

Suddenly, Meta knight feels his foot barely step on something. He kneels down and examines the source. It was a locket. When he opened it up, he found an odd, glowing green liquid. Intrigued, he puts it in his hand and holds it for safe keeping, moving on throughout the rest of the village.

About 30 minutes later, he covered all there was to find in the village. He concluded the place had been fully deserted when he heard something.

"H-Hello...? Anybody? Where did you all go?"

It was the voice of a little girl. Immediately, Meta Knight tried to follow the voice.

"Hello?" He called out. "Are you a survivor?"

The girl's voice quivers a bit. "S-survivor? You mean no one else is here?"

Meta Knight sighs. "I'm afraid so... I haven't seen anyone as of yet."

The girl's foot steps stop, and sobbing could be heard emanating from nearby.

Eventually, Meta Knight found the source of the voice. Collapsed on the ground sobbing was a little girl similar in appearance to Cassandra. The major difference being her long, messy red hair, green eyes, and her green turtleneck like one piece outfit.

Meta Knight kneels down to her height. "It's alright child... Your not alone anymore."

The girl looks up and sees Meta Knight, letting out a yelp as she crawled back to a nearby wall in terror at his intimidation.

"St-stay back!" She grabs a long splintered piece of wood that was once a part of a chair. "I...I have this and I'm not afraid to use it."

Meta Knight then appears behind her in a split second, gently taking the wood from her hand.

"That will not be necessary child. Now, tell me your name."

Kindle, still a bit petrified, replies. "K-K-Kindle..."

Meta knight nods politely. "It's a pleasure to meet you Kindle. My name is Meta Knight. I'm leader of the royal army."

Kindle's eyes widen. "Really?"

Meta Knight nods once more. "Yes."

"Heh... No wonder your kind of scary."

He chuckles for a second. "I guess your right... Anyway, where is your family Kindle?"

Kindle looks down sadly, tearing up a bit. "I don't know. All I remember is smoke and running with mamma from some monster that attacked our village. Before I knew it, Momma hid me in our crawl space. She told me not to move an inch until the monster was gone." She tears up more. "N-next thing I know, I hear her scream and thuds. When I came out of hiding, everyone was gone and I couldn't find Momma anywhere."

Meta Knight's eyes turn deep purple in pity. "I...I see."

Kindle stares at him. His eyes turn orange. "What?" His eyes turn gold. "Oh that? Yes that happens if my mood changes. It like those rings young people these days are loving."

Kindle looks at him in amazement. "That's so cool..."

Meta Knight holds out his hand and reveals the locket. "Is this yours?"

Kindle looks down at it with wide eyes. "That's my Mom's..."

Meta Knight places it in Kindle's hands. "Here... I'm sure she'd want you to have it..."

Kindle examines the locket a moment before putting it on. "Th-thank you..."

Meta Knight smiles under his mask. "My pleasure. Now come on," He holds out a hand. "I know of place where you can live."

Kindle tilts her head. "Is it where you live?"

"Yes. You can live there until we find people from your village or mother."

Kindle grins and hugs Meta Knight. "Thank you thank you thank you!"

Meta Knight nods. "Your welcome. Now if you'd please follow me there."

At that, the two began to make their way back to Cappy Town.
