Hi people! Thank you for reviewing! I have about 20 tests this year (3+ maths, 9 science, however many English tests there are, IT coursework, RE short and full course, AS critical thinking, 2 history, 4+ French etc.) so bear that in mind, its not just a couple. It's a LOT. This chapter took me a little longer to write as I was kind of stuck and I hope you enjoy it. I think Simon and Athena should get a long fine but they have their quarrels because they are nearly complete opposites in my mind.

Chapter 25

Prometheus POV

I just stared at him.

"Now that you broke into my house, can you tell me who you are?"

"Broken into is a bit of a harsh way to put it... I prefer let myself in."

"Just answer his question." Athena told the WolfBoy.

"Fine... Hi. I'm Simon. I'm Athena's brother. I'm her twin"

I knew I should have been more surprised but it explained so much and now seemed so obvious all I could manage was a simple "Oh."

We sat there awkwardly in silence for about a minute as the twins stared at me waiting for me to speak first. As it became apparent to them that I had nothing to say Athena turned to Simon and asked him why he was here. He told her about the Gods initiating a hunt to find how the wolves got into their training grounds and onto Olympus.

"They'll probably strengthen their defences." I told them

"Yeah," he agreed "But they won't find out how I got in."

"You won't tell Zeus right?" Athena asked me with wide pleading eyes like a puppy

"Of course not, it's not like he'll ask me anyway. I'm usually ignored;" I gave them a smile "You two are probably hungry. I'll go make some food." I stood up to go make something for us to eat to give them the privacy I knew they needed.

Simon POV

As soon as he left her eyes narrowed and she glared at me as though trying to portray all her anger at me in one glance. She looked terrifying when she did that, not that I'll ever admit that out loud.

I'm sorry I telepathically told her and to my own disgust I felt my eyes start to water. Gods, I'm a wimp.

Athena POV

All my anger faded away immediately as I stared at him. He looked so innocent and harmless and I knew he was about to cry. I went over to him and hugged him; he hugged me back in relief as he understood I wasn't mad at him anymore.

Are we going to tell Prometheus about our telepathy? I asked Simon silently. I trusted Prometheus but I wasn't sure if Simon did.

If you want He replied (probably because he didn't want me angry again) but if he tells ANYONE at all I will rip his throat out

You spend too much time as a wolf I told him, sickened by the mental image he had sent me of his threat. I realised that wolves hunted using their fangs and claws but I knew they were pack animals usually and could use strategy.

"Do you think as gods that we can go without eating meat?" I wondered out loud. Simon laughed at that.

"Even if we can I will still eat some. It tastes nice and hunting's fun. I will continue hunting and there is no point killing an animal if you don't plan to eat it."

I felt disgust fill me. How could he think of killing helpless animals as fun? Tearing them away from their family and seeing their fear filled eyes?

"I've never eaten meat before," I muttered darkly "So I don't know what the taste is but I do know killing an animal in such cruel way is something I will never do. In fact, I think it's best if I never ate meat at all."

Simon POV

I should have known she would be too soft hearted for hunting. Not eating meat at all? How ridiculous. Meat is delicious! I saw Prometheus enter the room again with plates of fruit (cut into nice even slices) and skewers of meat.

"Prometheus," I said as I helped him put the plates on the table and Athena opened a window to let Talon in "Please tell Athena how ridiculous the idea of never eating meat is. It goes against nature. Even her bird eats meat and look how happy it is." I said the last bit pointing at Talon who had flown in through the window. He looked smug as he landed on the chair.

Prometheus sighed. "At least try the meat, then you can decide whether or not you want to give it up." Like me, Prometheus loved the taste of meat.

Athena huffed and replied "I am not planning to give up meat because of its taste," She told him "I do not like the idea of some poor animal with a family and a life of its own dying just so that I can enjoy the taste of it for a little while. I can live without it quite fine."

I rolled my eyes. And you call me the drama queen.

Prometheus just stared at her with his face a mask. "Fine," He finally said "Don't eat meat but at least try some of the fruits, they're fresh."

And so I started my first ever meal in god form.
