A young girl named Katie Roberts stumbles upon the silver scarab. When it fuses to her spine, she becomes the Silver Scarab and fights crime in New York. Little did she know, her crusades would be noticed by the Justice League and their protégés. Does she have what it takes to join the Team? This is a take on what season 3 would be.

Chapter 4- Clash of the Scarabs

Times Square, New York

August 6th

20:32 EDT

In Times Square, standing above a tall building overlooking the city was none other than Silver Scarab. Seeing a perfect view of the city gave her a sense oif peace, but there was always someone out there who wanted to disrupt it and so she kept a vigil. Little did she know she was gonna be in for quite a ride, because at the very moment, four figures were watching her.

"So that's her. I was expecting someone a little more taller. She's what 13 years old?" Static asked

"Well, based on Batgirl's report she does look to be a little younger. Come on, let's get a closer look" Robin said. And Robin jump off the bulding followed by Blue Beetle, Static, and Superboy. As Silver was looking at the view of the big apple, her scarab sensed something. " Katie, I sense 4 figures approaching" The Scarab said. Just then, Silver turned and saw the four heroes standing before her. "So what do I owe the Justice League's sidekicks for coming into my city?" She asked. That comment seemed to irratate Connor for a little bit, but luckily for her Robin intervened.

"We're here because we've been following your recent exploits. You have potential and we can help you achieve it. If you come with us, i guarnatee you won't regret it."

Silver thought long and hard and she finally gave her answer. "Sorry I'm gonna have to say no. I do a lot better solo.

"Look, I used to be the same way, but when I joined this team I realized that being a solo act doesn't mean you have to take on the world alone. And I learned it's better to have a mentor to help teach you things that they know and to back you up when you need it" Static said

"My answer is still no" Silver said.

"Either you come with us now, or we take you in by force" Connor said getting very impatient with this scene.

"I guess you'll have to take me in the hard way" Silver retorted. "Fine. Don't say I didn't warn you" Connor said as he charged at Silver only to find himself hit by one of maces and he fell to the ground knocked out.

"Anybody else?" Silver challenged. Just then, Robin swooped and tried to sidestep her but she was ready and delivered a punch to his nose effectively breaking it. Tim fell to the ground holding his nose as blood poured out of it. Static was next as he flew in on his disk ready toi deliver an electrical attack. But as he got closer, Silver fired a stapler at him , causing Static to fall of his disk and entrapping him on the ground. All that was left was Blue Beetle.

" Well? Any moves you like to make Blue Boy?" Silver tauntingly asked

"Jaime Reyes, this Silver Scarab possesses a simliar signature as does the Reach. But she does not appear to be controlled" The Blue Scarab told him.

"Well. That makes it easier" Blue said as his right hand turned into a sword. Silver's arm did the same thing. "So, you decided to go down fighting huh? Well, if you want to go out in a blaze of glory, I'm more than happy to light the fire" Silver said as she and Blue charged and clashed with swords. Both Beetles tried to get the upper hand on each other, but it always seemed to end in a stalemate. Just then, Blue got an idea. Remembering the covert op at LexCorp Farms, he turned his right arm into a sonic cannon only for Silver to counter with hers.

But what she didn't know was that Blue's left hand transform into another sonic cannon and aimed it right at Silver and soon her armor started to crack and she couldn't hold her ground as her mask started to peel off and Katie's face was revealed. She looked like she had very beautiful skin, and she also had brunette hair. Seeing that she couldn't handle Blue's sonic cannons anymore, she fell to the ground unconscious. Soon Blue slowly approached her and so did Robin who was still holding his nose.

"You ok?" Blue asked.

"Yeah. Nothing that an ice pack can't handle" Robin replied. "We better help these two" Gesturing to Static and Superboy.

"What about her?" Blue asked gesturing to Katie.

"You do it" Robin said as he went to help Static and Superboy. "This is gonna be a very long night" Blue thought as he went to go help Katie.
