Desmond's eyes popped open as he snapped back into consciousness.
Panting and breathless he looked around in a panic, almost glad he was back to that hell hole.
"What?! What the hell was that?"
Lucy was at her place, right beside the Animus.
"Calm Down, You're fine.."
The Animus screen had moved to the right of Desmond's head and Desmond sat up.
"Again… What the hell was that?" He spoke as he rubbed the back of his neck, trying to comprehend that had just happened.
"You basically killed Altair… You desynchronized…" The blond didn't take her eyes off the small computer screen.
"Desynchr-what? I didn't kill anyone! Technically I drowned myself… You couldn't have expected me to react any differently when you just shove me into some damn machine that knocked me out! Hell, you could have been taking my blood or stealing my kidneys for all I know!" He quickly questioned the woman.
Finally Lucy pulled her eyes from the computer screen and turned to face the confused man. "Desynchronized.. the body you're in while in the Animus obviously isn't yours… It's a memory.. from one of your ancestors."
"But if I have control of the body then doesn't that mean-"
"It means nothing…" Lucy quickly snapped at him. "You have control of the body because It is up to you to follow your ancestors memories.. where to go next, how to respond, how to fight should be an instinct. It should almost feel like a giant case of… Daja vu for you.."
Desmond's lips curled into a smile as he laughed. "That rhymed…"
"You're a child…" She rolled her eyes.
"So what, I'm just supposed to follow my instincts like a fish?" He cackled at the joke while Lucy gently pushed Desmond back onto his back and slid the screen back over his face. He hoped she would clear things up for him a little more.
"Yep." She ignored his plea for clarification and clicked another button.
Desmond was then sent back into Masyaf, but this time… he wasn't in that sweet "homey" place he was when he saw Kadar and Malik… He was in a cave.. Behind an older Kadar and Malik…
They were on a mission…
Desmond knew Altair was the best Assassin there was… at least… that's what that 'Daja Vu' Feeling told him…
So why did he have such a bad feeling in his stomach then?
~~~~~Sorry it's such a short chapter but I feel like I needed to get something out there. I should be updating more frequently in the future though!~~~~~
