Calling of the DNA

Chapter 4

DISCLAIMER: I own nothing…until I become super rich and buy all of tv and all marketing rights. Muwahahahaha!

I am sure some of you notice how I switch from calling Ben 'her' or 'he' of 'she' or 'him' but that is purposeful. Ben and a lot of other people (who know about Ben) are confused and don't know how to refer to him/her as. I know it may seem confusing but yeah. Its purposeful so don't comment on it. I do it on purpose. For now, it is only a little bit but it will happen more often later on into the story.

Enjoy

Ben had not looked all that different from when she was a guy. She had the same brown hair that unfortunately reached to the bottom of her butt. It was almost exactly like her cousin's straight hair. It was slightly wavy at the bottom. It was smooth and soft to the touch. Her face was almost like it used to be except for the subtle feminine features, the small lips and nose from her mother's side. Her face was more angular than before. Her hips had a subtle curve to them. It was attractive and her breast where the right size for her small frame. Gwen had offered to let her barrow a bra but she had declined and instead zipped up her jacket.

She had dreaded the moment she would have to go home and explain this to her parent but she knew she would have to. Gwen had opted to come with her and after they had dropped Kevin off at his home they drove to Ben's house.

"So, how are you feeling?" Gwen asked, a bit nervous on what subjects were safe and which were not. When they had dropped Kevin off he had commented about Ben not being an ugly girl and that had set Ben off. He had attacked Kevin and had only been able to come out of it thanks to Gwen dragging Ben back with her own Anodite power.

"I'm fine. Just a little tired." She mumbled looking out the passenger side window.

"Well, when we get back to your place you will be able to sleep. We just have to talk to Uncle Carl and Aunt Sandra first." Her response was to mumble something unintelligible, "Oh, come on Ben. It isn't that bad, sort of."

"How would you feel if you were turned into a guy, huh?" She shot back.

Gwen had to think about it. Of course she would hate it but she didn't want to admit it to Ben. It would put her in a grouchier mood and she really didn't want to aggravate the powerful Anodite who definitely could beat her with just raw power. As Gwen thought that, she realized that Ben who had only just discovered her Anodite power had more power than her. When she had to pull Ben away from Kevin, the only way she was able to stop her from attack was to convince her to stop. A small ting of jealousy crept into her thoughts but quickly dismissed it.

"Of course I may be a little angry but I would eventually get over it and besides do you know how much power you have?" Gwen asked trying to lighten the mood, "You were actually able to knock down grandma Verdona. You should have seen yourself."

"I guess." Ben shrugged as he pushed more of his long hair out of his face.

It was impossible to keep her-his hair from bugging him. He really wanted to cut it, to make it short again. Why did his hair have to be so long? When Grandma Verdona had left, Ben had taken one look at his hair when he decided to take a pair of scissors and cut it off. When he had, a green glow came from the newly cut tips and it instantly grew back even longer than before. It had to at least be a few inches longer than it had been to start with.

He was brought out of his thoughts as Gwen pulled into Ben's driveway. Without a word they both got out and headed for the front door. Just before entering they stopped. Gwen stared at her cousin.

"I am sure it will be fine. When they had discovered that you could transform into aliens they didn't get all that mad so maybe it will be okay." She offered reassuringly. Ben only nodded and she grabbed the knob, turning it and walked inside. At first nobody was in site but then they heard a call that sounded like it was coming from the kitchen.

"Ben, is that you?" He heard his mother call.

Ben couldn't find any words but luckily for her, Gwen answered, "Yeah, Aunt Sandra. Ben and I are here."

They walked into the living room and say as Ben's dad facing away from them as he sat on the couch, watching TV.

"Hey, Uncle Carl, I think that we need to have a talked about some things." She said as she led Ben to the side of the couch.

"What is it-," He cut himself off as he turned towards the two. He dropped the glass of water that had been in his hand and abruptly stood up, "Gwen, please tell me that isn't who I think it is. Please don't tell me."

"Sorry dad but it is." Ben finally found Himself able to talk.

"Oh dear." He looked about ready to faint then shouted, "Sandra!"

Said woman came into the living room at her husband's frantic yell. She looked to him about ready to ask what he had yelled about but then caught site of the two others or more the one brunette and simply said.

"Oh," But she was soon able to continue, "Ben, please tell me this is some kind of joke. No, on second thought, don't tell me. I don't want to hear it."

"Mom, this isn't helping the situation. It was an accident." Ben said.

"So, will it ware off or something?" His dad asked. Both the teens shook their heads.

"Can it be reversed in any way?" This time it was her mother but again their reply was a shake of the head. "So…Ben is stuck like this."

This time they nodded. Carl sat down on the sofa with his head in his hands. It was again Ben's mother who talked.

"Why don't you tell us what happened then we will discuss what to do."

Ben and Gwen began to tell the story about how Ben had fiddled with the Omnitrix earlier in the day then about how he had almost unlocked a new alien. How he had went over to Kevin's and he had gotten the tech to work and how Ben had used it and when he transformed he was a green female Anodite and the Omnitrix was fried. Then how they went over to Gwen's and she had been able to turn Ben back into a human but he turned out to be a girl. Afterwards about how Verdona came and told them how Ben was stuck that way and would not be able to change back and the fight they had with each other.

"So now I'm stuck like this." Ben said with his face pointed to the floor.

All his mother and father could do was nod. They could think of anything to say. Their son was now a daughter. Of course they stilled loved Ben but they had spent 16 years as parent for a boy. They really didn't know how they could raise a girl.

It was Carl who spoke first this time, "So, your grandmother said there was no way to turn you back? Nothing at all?"

Gwen shrugged, "Well, she did talk about how Anodites are able to make their own body. But she had said the same thing to me."

Ben's dad seemed to nod, "That's good I guess, right?"

"When she had discussed it with me, she said it would take a few hundred years to a millennium to train an Anodite to full maturity." Gwen said.

"Well that is out of the question. I will not allow my son-uh, child to be taken away so that I would never be able to see her uh him, uh..." His mother had started with determination to keep her child from being taken but was not able to think of the write words to use in referring to her son turned daughter.

"Thanks mom. I think?" Ben said awkwardly as she rushed up to Ben and hugged her-him.

"Just because you are a girl doesn't mean you get to skip school." Her mother said sternly then scrunched her face in concentration and a bit of confusion, "That is going to be a little difficult, isn't it?"

Gwen chirped up at the word school, "I believe I have a solution to our problems. As a Plumber, Ben and I are able to forge paperwork in order to go undercover or other Plumber business. So if we contacted Grandpa, I'm sure he would be able to get us that paperwork in a few hours. We could have Ben change his identity to being a sister or something, maybe."

"I guess I don't have a choice, do I?" He said just before he yawned.

"Ben, dear, you look exhausted. Maybe you should head to your room and rest." Her mother said, "Gwen, do you mind, sweetie. Ben should get some sleep after the long day he has had."

"No problem Aunt Sandra." Gwen says cheerfully as she takes her Plumber's badge out that function as a communicator, "I will call Grandpa Max now so that the paperwork will be ready by tomorrow so by Monday the next day you should be listed as a new student with all the necessary papers."

Gwen rushes out of the door as Ben heads to her room. She is out as soon as her head hits the pillow.
