- Battle of Strengths

Runo know understood why the dining hall was so gigantic. It was around 9:00 am and it was completely packed with people, mainly teenagers. They were all chatting away at the tables littered around the room, eating their breakfast without a care in the world. The girl only looked at them un-amused as she continued to eat the toast Alice had given her.

Julie had barged in her room around 8 o'clock and basically forced her to shower. After that bizarre encounter, Alice had taken her and Marucho to the dining hall, where they were currently eating breakfast. The blonde was also awestruck as he looked in amazement at the big crowds of people, most of them in sporting clothes. The redhead had gotten them two plates stocked with different types of foods and gave it to them, before disappearing into the crowd.

"How are so many people able to hide in here?" Marucho asked out loud, as he took a bite from a plate of strawberries he had in his hand.

"Beats me" The girl answered back, stifling a yawn from her mouth. Last night had been weird all right. First the weird nightmare had appeared on her mind, and then she had met up with Dan on her way of finding a window. She was certainly confused once he helped her find a way out and even more shocked when he had take her to the gardens. They were truly beautiful and she had to admit that Julie had her way with flowers.

The girl bit on her lower lip as she remembered the whole rambling she had said to him once they had reached her room. Thinking back on it, she felt embarrassed at the words that had left her mouth and even more so surprised with herself at putting her pride aside. But she was glad she had done it, maybe a friendship with the brunette wouldn't be so bad. A small smile appeared on her lips, until Marucho snapped her out of her thoughts.

"Hey Runo, is it me or are those girls glaring back at us?" He had a slight quiver on his voice, as he pointed his index finger at a table behind them. Runo turned to the place he was pointing and indeed could see a table with three girls glaring at them. Or more like glaring at her. Once they noticed she had seen them, they turned back to their food and only made Runo's frown deepen. She knew that people had been staring at them since they entered the dining hall, but she didn't expect anyone to be glaring at them.

The three girls were two dark blue haired girls and a redhead that seemed to be the leader of their group. She would constantly look back up at her, but would flinch away once she saw Runo's eyes onto her. They were muttering something amongst themselves, but the jet-black haired girl didn't pay them attention, and turned back to Marucho.

"Looks like someone doesn't want us here already" She commented dryly as she finished her toast and drank a little bit of milk from her vase. Marucho's eyes seemed nervous as he looked back at the table with the girls "Don't worry about it, they probably won't do anything to bother us"

"I really hope they don't, I don't want to leave" The blonde said with sincerity. The girl only gave him back a smile and patted his head. Suddenly a bell rang amongst the dining hall and most of the teens started to gather their plates and leave it at the closest trash cans. Runo and Marucho stayed on their positions as they watched the people leave the room, and in the process the girl caught sight of the short redhead glaring back at her. She didn't waste time to do the same, only causing the other girl to flinch slightly and leave the dining hall with her head down. In a matter of seconds the room had been wiped out and the only two people left were her and Marucho.

"Should we follow them?" The blond asked, worry laced in his voice as he looked at the crowd of people leaving the room. Runo shrugged without a care and continued to eat her breakfast.

"Guys!" The voice of Alice broke the silence. The girl walked over to their table a sweet smile on her face as she approached them "Did you enjoy the food? I don't know what you like so I brought a little bit of everything" She smiled a bit nervously, and glanced back at the doors "Once you finish I'm going to need you to come with me, there's an activity the professor wants you to attend" The two teens agreed as they took their respective plates and threw them away in the trash.

The red head quickly walked out of the dinning hall, leaving a very suspicious Runo, as she and Marucho went after her. Alice was quieter than most days as she led them through a set of hallways and stairs. Marucho was trying to strike a conversation with her but she would only respond in small smiles and quick sentences. The jet-black haired girl definitely knew that something was up. Suddenly they all stopped in front of a white door, and Alice turned around.

"So the Professor wants you to attend one of Shun's classes of self defense" She started explaining the best she could "He just wants you to see how some of the classes here are taught, so" With that the girl walked towards the door and typed in a series of numbers, making it open immediately "If you would please follow me"

Runo and Marucho exchanged looks but didn't comment anything else and followed after Alice. Instantly Runo saw a big gymnasium full with teenagers, all of them throwing either kicks or punches at each other. It had a high-end ceiling and almost looked like a normal gym, except for the weird equipment that was at the sides.

"Those are special machines for everyone to work on toning their superpowers specifically" Alice said, as she continued to walk around the room. Many of the teens were now staring at them, but still doing their exercises. Marucho was trying to hide behind Runo's leg, but it was to no avail.

At the center of the whole gymnasium there stood Shun with his usual stoic expression over his face. He was looking to one side to the other, yelling instructions at the teens, to either keep going or giving advice. The boy didn't even acknowledge them as he walked over to Alice and whispered something to her. The girl only nodded and led them towards what Runo believed to be the locker rooms. She was given a pair of black yoga pants and a loose white t-shirt, along with a pair of white sneakers. It was the same outfit as the students practicing, the girl noticed as she walked back to the gymnasium. Marucho was quickly by her side, a nervous look on his face as he looked at the exercises they where all doing.

"Start doing laps around the gym" Shun was suddenly next to them, a calm look on his face. Runo frowned and didn't move until the boy frowned back and motioned her to do as told. The jet-black haired girl was about to talk back at him, but Marucho tugged onto her hand and started dragging her away. Both of them ran at a steady pace as they watched the self-defense class progress.

The girl recognized the redhead, sparring with another student. The girl would often glare at her, and Runo didn't waste time to do it back. Marucho was starting to get tired quite easily and his ragged breathing was proof of it. The girl didn't feel bothered at all at the exercise, in fact she felt even more active. They continued to run until Shun ordered everyone to stop what they were doing. The little blond boy almost collapsed on the floor from exhaustion as the raven haired boy exited the room.

"Oh come on, it wasn't even that hard" Runo pushed the boy to his feet almost making him land on the floor again "You really need to get in shape" She managed to get him to stand. The boy's face turned white in a second as he pointed at her back. The girl turned and her frown deepened as the three girls were standing in front of them. Runo turned her frown into a glare as the three of them flinched slightly, clearly not moving from their position. The room around them had become quiet in a few seconds, and the girl started to get impatient.

"Do you need something?" Runo asked, annoyance clear on her voice. The trio looked at each other until the redhead just rolled her eyes and stepped forward. She had a frown on her face as well, and the jet-black haired girl knew that this girl meant trouble. She had a pair of dazzling blue eyes along her pale skin.

"So are you two the new recruits?" The girl crossed her arms over her chest, her voice laced with superiority. Marucho was standing next to Runo, and the girl could feel him tremble with nerves.

"Recruits? We are just new students" Runo's frown deepened, not liking the attitude the girl in front of her was showing "And why do you care anyway?"

"Seems like you don't know what you got yourselves into" The redhead annoyingly rolled her eyes once more and sighed "Anyways, I'm only here to warn you about something missy" The girl pointed at Runo's chest, moving her face closer. If the redhead wanted to threaten her in some sort of way, it was clearly not happening.

"If you go near Kuso again, I'll make sure you regret it" The redhead was full on growling now. Runo's face went from annoyed to confused in a second. 'You've got to be kidding me' she thought, almost wanting to laugh at the situation.

"What?" She voiced out her confusion, just to be sure she had heard the girl in front of her right.

"Seems like your head is pretty thick if you didn't understand the first time" Now Runo was sure that she disliked the girl "If you, by any means or chance, go near or even talk with Daniel Kuso, you'll regret it" The redhead had a smug expression on her face, and the jet-black haired girl couldn't even stand the sight of it.

"What the hell?" Runo pushed her off. The girl looked quite taken aback as well as the other two blunettes behind her "What are you his girlfriend?" She watched the look of embarrassment flashing in the redhead's eyes and almost wanted to groan out loud "Worse, you're his ex-girlfriend"

"That's none of your business!" The girl stomped the ground, like a spoiled child, face fuming with anger "The point is, don't go near him again! I saw you two sneaking off at night, and I can prove it!"

"Look" Runo rubbed her temple, trying to control her anger but quickly failing "First of all since you're his ex, it's not your business what we do together" The girl glared at the redhead "Second of all, you can't command people on who they talk or don't talk with" She moved now closer to her, the stranger clearly nervous at the approach "And third, I could care less about what your empty threats"

Everyone was watching her with wide eyes and faces of surprise. Marucho's mouth was hanging open as he saw her and the two blunettes behind the girl had taken a couple of steps back, clearly not wanting to get involved. The redhead had fallen to the floor, shivers going down her arms as she looked up to Runo. The jet-black haired girl only frowned but turned away from her.

What Runo didn't expect was for the girl to appear right in front of her again, and slapping her across the face. Multiple gasps filled the room, as the jet-black haired girl looked at the redhead. She had a nasty smirk on her lips, satisfied with her action. Runo watched as the girl disappeared in an instant and re-appeared on her right side to her, punching her right on the nose. The girl tumbled to the floor, covering her swollen nose with her hand, as the redhead didn't waste time as she repeated the attack, but now kicking her in the ribs.

"Sorry what was that of me saying empty threats?" The girl laughed, and silence was still in the room. Runo growled and swung her right leg, and hit the girl right in the stomach, sending her crashing to the floor. The jet-black haired girl didn't waste time and got up, rubbing off the trail of blood coming out of her nostrils. The redhead did the same, the look of surprise evident on her face as she watched her.

"If this is how you want to sort things out, fine by me!" Runo yelled and in a second had managed to kick her right on her left cheek. An audible smack was heard, as the girl disappeared and tried her attack once more. The jet-black haired girl dodged her punch, and returned the favor of punching her on the stomach.

The redhead let out an audible gasp, but her face was filled with pure anger. Runo huffed, trying to catch her breath, rubbing her trail of blood once more as she took a proper fighting stance. She hoped the self-defense teachings from Tigrerra all those years ago, were still fresh on her mind.

"I'm so dead" Dan Kuso said to himself as he practically sprinted out of his room and headed straight for the self-defense class. Professor Gehabic had specifically told him to arrive earlier than the rest of the team, after all they were going to look for new recruits together, but he didn't expect not to wake up even when his alarm was turned on. He cursed to himself as he saw the empty dining hall, and continued running to Shun's class.

After he had left Runo at her room, he hadn't been able to sleep at all. His heart was still doing weird summersaults and he felt like it was about to burst from his body. He hoped that it was only temporarily. But he still felt worried about her, just a little bit though. The brunette hoped she hadn't had another nightmare at least.

Dan reached the gym's entrance and headed for the hidden entrance, where he supposed the rest of the team was hanging around. He racked on his mind for an excuse to give them, but they were smarter than that. 'What an amazing leader I am' He sarcastically told himself as he entered the dim lit hall. He could hear a couple of voices in the room at the end of the hall. With that the boy walked towards it, hoping that at least Shun was still giving instructions at the students on the gym below.

"There's still going at it? Those two have more resistance than I do" The voice of Baron Leroy reached his ears, a tone of surprise laced on his voice. Dan got to the entrance but stopped to listen to the conversation that was just happening.

"I still think that we should stop them, I don't like where this is heading" Alice said in her usual worried tone. The brunette almost wanted to laugh, but kept silent.

"Well Shun hasn't even come back, he or Dan should make the call" Baron said once more, and now Dan's face turned in confusion. What was happening inside the gym anyway?

"Let's just wait, I want to see how Runo kicks her butt!" Julie sounded more intense and angry than he expected. Now things were getting weird. Runo was also in the class with the new recruits? Last time he had spoke with Professor Gehabic, he had told him that the girl would be with the next year recruits.

"Can't believe you brought someone so problematic Alice" Ace Grit's voice said in a flat tone, but Dan could also hint a bit of worry in it.

"Oh shush Romeo! It was your crush that started the fight!" Julie screamed back at the boy. The brunette didn't waste time to open the door and barge inside the room. Everyone went quiet once they noticed him.

The room was a similar to an interrogation room, but much more lively and colorful. There was a one-way glass at the right side of the room, which showed the gym below without anyone knowing. There was a coffee table at the center of the room, and black leather couches around it. Paintings were hanging on the walls as well as some photographs. Baron was sitting at one of the couches closest to the glass, Julie standing next to him, while Ace was supporting himself with the edge of the table and Alice standing in front of the glass. They all had surprised looks on their faces.

"Hey" Dan announced himself "So what's going on?" No one dared to speak. He frowned as the rest of his team, looked anywhere but him. He was about to ask again, when he heard shouting from the gym below. The brunette sent them another confused look but edged towards the window to see the ruckus going around. Dan turned and could clearly see a circle of teens at the center of the room. He also noticed Marucho Maruka trying to stop something at the center of the circle.

Julie was beside him, giving him a worried look as she pointed at somewhere inside the gym. The boy didn't question it and looked over to where she was pointing. His eyes widened and he felt his breathing stop. Now he completely understood the conversation from just minutes ago. Runo was fighting with Mira. He could see the redhead disappear and re-appear in thin air and trying to hit Runo, but the girl was actually blocking her. The brunette with mouth agape watched as the jet-black haired girl took hold of his ex-girlfriend's punch and pushed her whole body to the floor.

"How long have they been fighting?" Dan asked, not taking his eyes off from Runo's fighting form.

"Roughly around from five to ten minutes, non-stop" Ace commented, arms crossed over his chest as he looked at the fight as well. The brunette couldn't tear his eyes away from the action. He had fought with Mira before, when things were still good between them, and he had had a rough time in beating her. But Runo moved like she could see where Mira was going to appear, and take that chance to counterattack. He was impressed.

"Where's Shun?" He asked to no one in particular.

"We don't know. He gave the recruits instructions and then left the room. He came and told us he wouldn't be long and exited the gym. He hasn't come back" Alice said worriedly, biting at her lower lip nervously "Dan we need to stop this before they get seriously injured!" The brunette was about to agree when a shout of distress distracted him. The brunette recalled seeing Runo on the floor as Mira mercilessly yanked on her ponytail. He sprinted out of the room, Alice quickly going after him as they made their way to the gym.

Dan felt as if his body was moving on it's own as he reached the gym's entrance and basically yanked it open. The students inside the room looked startled as they noticed him, but his eyes could only focus on the two girls fighting. He was about to step in, when a tower of water crashed onto Mira and sent her flying to the opposite wall. Runo was on the floor, panting and with blood still coming out of her nose. The brunette tried to calm his temper. He was the leader of the group and if he went overboard he'll never hear the end of it with Professor Gehabic. But seeing the jet-black haired girl in that state made his blood boil.

Runo had to admit that the redhead called Mira was a pretty good fighter overall. She had a far better control on her stamina and she would counterattack in less than three seconds. The only problem was that the girl had a pattern and Runo didn't waste time on figuring that out. She would usually throw a punch or a kick and immediately disappear over the opponent's backside or left side. As the fight progressed the jet-black haired girl found her body moving at the same rhythm and would be able to block her attacks much more easily.

She had managed to grab Mira's lower arm and threw a punch over her abdomen. The girl hoped that it would be enough after that, but once she let her guard down, the redhead took hold of her ponytail. Runo felt an immense pain as Mira yanked on her hair, making her loose her footing and trying to loose the girl's grip on her ponytail. She released a scream as the girl pulled harder than before, and she could feel a couple of strands being yanked out of her scalp.

The teenagers around her looked shocked, still not moving from their places, but still watching the fight with intrigue. One of Mira's friends moved towards them, full intention of intervening now. Runo heard the doors of the gym open but she forgot about it and watched in awe as an immense tower of water slammed right onto the redhead and sent her crashing onto the opposite wall. The girl knew right away that Marucho had been the one that helped her. She looked at him, a grateful smile on her lips. The blond was still surprised at his own actions but still managed to give her a small smile. That's when Runo noticed that blood was still coming out of her nose.

"Dammit" She cursed quietly as rubbed the trail with her fingers. The girl hoped that it wasn't broken or anything but blood was still coming out. Everyone in the room fell silent as she heard a couple steps coming in her direction. She turned and saw Dan crouching right in front of her, a handkerchief on hand.

"You okay?" He asked as he cautiously handed the item to her. Runo took the cloth on her hand and applied it to the trail of blood. Well at least, now she felt more at ease.

"I've been in worse things" She managed to say before coughing a bit.

"Tilt your head forward a little bit and pinch your nose shut for a few minutes" The girl didn't question him and did as told. She was forced to breathe through her mouth, but she could feel a bit better after it. He was looking at her with concerned eyes, and she started to feel embarrassed by the attention he was giving her. She was about to retort something when Mira went stomping right at them. The brunette turned to the redhead, his demeanor from worried completely changed to furious. Even Runo felt a bit intimidated by it.

"Care to explain what happened here Mira?" He glared at her, and Runo noticed a shiver going down the girl's spine. Her blue eyes were now filled with longing. The jet-black haired girl held back from commenting, their relationship was none of her business after all. Alice then was next to her in a second. She gave her a guilty smile as she took hold of the handkerchief and continued to press it against her nose.

"She's the one who started it!" The redhead pointed at her accusingly "She had been glaring at me since breakfast and she threatened me out of nowhere!" Runo rolled her eyes, trying to push Alice away to speak up.

"That's not true!" Marucho perked up. He was now standing next to her, still nervous but he continued to speak "She and her friends had been glaring at us since breakfast and she was the one who initially threaten Runo. Also, she was the one who started the fight!" Dan looked between her and Mira, obviously not believing a word that the redhead was saying.

"Marucho speaks the truth Dan" Alice added "We have been watching since the class began and Mira slapped Runo across the face, that's how the fight started" The brown eyed girl, threw Mira a disappointed look but continued to tend Runo's wounds. The redhead was fuming, looking everywhere except Dan's face.

"I expected as much" The brunette was still glaring at her "Mira go to Professor Gehabic's office, I'm sure he would love to see you pay him a visit" then he turned to one of the blunette girls "Fabia I'll talk to your later, since you didn't bother to stop the fight while being stationed here" The blunette girl only nodded and left the gym without a complaint. Mira on the other hand was at shock, and she looked like she wanted to protest, but one look from both Dan and Alice made her follow Fabia out of the room.

"Okays guys, sorry for the interruption. This will be the end of first part of the trials, you can leave now" Dan instructed them. Quickly the majority of the teenagers left the gym, now livelier than a few minutes ago. Mostly murmurs were coming out of their mouths, surely talking about the incident. Runo was still sitting on the floor as Alice commanded her to press her nose to completely stop the bleeding. Marucho stayed behind with her, a concerned look on his face.

"That should do it" Alice finished patching up her lip. It still felt a bit swollen but it was better than nothing. The redhead removed the handkerchief from her nose and beamed "Well your nose stopped bleeding, so it's not broken or anything" Runo still rubbed the base of it, quite glad that she could still breathe.

"Runo I'm sorry I didn't do anything sooner" Marucho whined beside her, his nervousness finally showing "I should've done something when it started, but I was way too scared"

"Are you kidding me?" The girl broke into a rare smile "You slammed that girl into a wall with just water, that's good enough for me" Runo fully turned to him "If hadn't intervened when you did, who knows how the fight would've ended" Now the blond finally gave her a sincere smile. Now the girl turned to both Dan and Alice a frown appearing on her face. "So I suppose this is a normal self-defense class, what is this about being recruits? And what did you mean by trials?"

"You didn't tell them?" Dan asked Alice with curiosity.

"I was going to! But the professor told me just before breakfast, how was I supposed to explain them everything in a short amount of time!" The redhead rubbed her forehead in a nervous manner and then sighed "I think it's best if they hear it from you, after all you're the leader"

"Well let's see" The brunette scratched his head, thinking "We call you recruits since Professor Michael choose you from a very large scope of students to complete a series of trials" He started explaining "Based on your effort and results in each trial, you will end up being part of a team"

"And why would I want to do such thing?" Runo asked carefully standing up from her position "I though me and Marucho would be just regular students here"

"You are" Dan affirmed her "But the professor thought it might've been a good idea to involve you two as well. If you don't wish to participate we won't force you to them"

"Professor Michael thought you two would be a good addition to the team, but like Dan said if you don't wish to participate it's up to you" Alice was now standing besides the brunette and understanding smile on her lips.

"And what is this team about?" Runo asked out of curiosity. If she was going to do these trials, the least they could do was to tell her what was the endgame or what was the purpose of them.

"That we can't tell you" The brunette boy made an 'X' with both of his arms "Only those who have passed the trials are part of it and know about it, outside of that not many people should know" Runo turned to glare at him "Sorry kid, the professor's rules"

"He sure has some strange rules" The girl sighed. Marucho returned to his nervous state, rubbing his hands together and cleaning his glasses every five seconds. She was intrigued by the concept of the trials, but she didn't get the point of them. Why would she want to be in a team she knows nothing about? Maybe going to the library at night would help her investigate more.

"For the time being, let's leave this place I'm getting hungry" Dan led the way out of the gym and into the hallways of the school once more. Their group walked in silence as they headed towards the dining hall. Runo continued to marvel at the scenery in front of her through the row of windows at the wall beside her. She could see the gardens once more and they looked marvelous in daylight.

"I'm sorry" Dan was suddenly walking next to her. She turned to him quite startled by his voice. Marucho was currently walking on ahead with Alice, both of them walking faster than them. Runo noticed the redhead turned her head and giving her a teasing smile, almost making her blush.

"About what exactly?" She asked him as they both stopped walking. He started scratching on his head, Runo patiently waiting for him to continue. The boy looked as if something was bothering him.

"At the whole mess you were dragged in" He sighed and turned to look out the gardens "I mean I know how Mira can be, and now that we've broken up she lashes out in seconds" He sighed as if debating if he should continue talking or not.

"That's not your fault" Runo started, looking directly at him "I understand that you two had something and then broke up, I mean it's normal, it happens everyday" She continued to speak "But it isn't your fault if she ends up being jealous of any girl that is talking with you"

"Wait" Dan now fully turned to her, quite confused at the last statement "What do you mean by that? She was jealous?"

"Apparently she saw us last night, you know when you…" She suddenly became embarrassed by the whole topic, blood rushing to her cheeks as she tried to hide it "The point is Mira was clearly annoyed by the fact that we talked and she thought it was a good idea to threaten me into not going near you" The brunette was gaping at her, a look of disbelief on his face "And you see how that turned out"

"I knew she had always been jealous, but this tops all of my previous experiences" He sighed passing a hand through his messy hair "But if she did all of that, why did you fight her? I mean why did you respond?"

"Well because if she thinks she can order me around on who I can talk to or not, you can bet I will answer back" Runo crossed her arms over chest "Besides she was glaring at me and Marucho since breakfast it was starting to piss me off"

"So you fought her because you wanted to keep talking with me?" He had a teasing smirk on his lips. Runo's eyes widened at the suggestion and didn't waste time to smack his across the head. He fell to the floor screaming in pain. It was enough to distract him, from seeing her flushed face.

"No need to get violent!" He whimpered as he rubbed his head. The girl rolled her eyes and helped him to stand up once again "Geez if I didn't know you I would say you're a lot worse than Mira"

"Keep talking like that and you're getting a kick" Runo warned with skeptic eyes. She wanted to ask him about their relationship, curiosity kicking in right away, but she felt that it was a bit more personal "Anyways thanks for intervening as well"

"It was my pleasure kid" The new nicknamed rolled off his mouth with a teasing voice and the girl couldn't help but smile at his antics.

"Dan!" A voice made the two of them snap, as they turned and saw Shun walking towards the brunette. He had an irritated look on his face "Where were you? Professor Gehabic made me go look for you and you weren't in your room?"

"Ah sorry about that!" The brunette apologized, a sheepish grin on his lips "I was up late last night and didn't get much sleep, so I overslept and went to the trials later than accorded" Runo's eyes widened as she turned to the brunette. Had she disturbed him that much last night? The boy turned to her, catching her glance and his face heat up in a second.

"Well that's typical of you" Shun commented dryly "I suppose the class is over since it was pretty empty when I got back" That was when he noticed the blush that was starting to spread over Dan's cheeks and Runo's confused glance "Were you two together last night or something?"

"NO!" They both screamed back at the raven-haired boy. Shun wasn't affected by it and gave them a dry look. But once he turned to his best friend a tiny smirk could be seen on his lips.

"Okay then I'll leave you lovebirds alone" He commented, amusement clearly on his voice as both of the teens protested right back at him. Runo felt embarrassed by the situation beyond belief. They continued to bicker until they reached the dinning hall and met up with Alice and Marucho. Soon Julie joined them as well, claiming that Runo had obviously won the fight.

The girl couldn't help a small smile spreading on her lips. Finally she felt like she was starting to belong somewhere and was accepted by it. Sure it was still a long way before she felt really comfortable and who knows maybe she would end up running away from the Mutant Academy in the end. Too many secrets she was still keeping from them and she hoped she would go to her grave with them. But for the time being she felt at peace at the academy. And that was good enough for now.

HEY GUYS! So I managed to update this story whoo! I've been trying to finish this chapter the whole week but I would get distracted quite often, but I managed to do it. Anyways so as you read Mira was Dan's ex-girlfriend, I won't explain their relationship or they breakup until the story progresses a bit more, but for the time being now that Mira still has feeling for Dan (I mean that's pretty much the thing here) And I apologize in advance for making Mira a bit bitchy in this chapter, just for the moment just remember that she's a jealous girl and as the story progresses she'll grow out of that role (In other words she's not going to stay bitchy the whole story) haha

Also characters like Fabia, Baron and Ace made their appearance as well, but their powers will be revealed in later chapters haha I don't know if the chapter was a bit rushed, with all the things happening.
