Ryuga: So we got the new opening too, huh?
Ryu: I don't know; I like it. *Smiles*
Me: Hey guys…what's up?
Ryuga: Nothing much…except you dropped this story for a while. *Tick mark appears*
Me: Ha-ha, funny story…um, look, isn't it pretty outside?
Ryuga: WHO CARES ABOUT OUTSIDE?!
Ryu: Ryuga…
Me: Alright, let's start the story. But first, my friend, Lizz or Chained Princess, pointed out that in the last chapter I said the Dark Power's name was Demon. Its name is Dragon, not Demon…sorry about that. Just so you know. =) ON WITH THE STORY!
Ryu: MK owns nothing except herself and her starting to break laptop…you should really get a new one.
Demons Chapter 4: Training Gone Awry (Spoiler Alert =P)
Ryuga's POV
"RYUGA!" The voice echoes annoyingly in my ears. I open one eye and see Ryuto kneeling beside me.
"What?" I growl.
"Jeez. Next time, you can face Ryu's wrath. She's waiting for you…something about lessons?" Ryuto raises his eyebrows while still glaring at me…how does one do that? I need to learn this.
"Yeah. I'll be there." I start to move when I realize the position I'm in. My torso lies in a crooked angle off the bed with my legs wrapped in the twisted blanket.
"After you get out that is." Ryuto smirks and leaves.
A few ripped bed sheets later, I'm walking outside to meet Ryu. My mother insisted on me eating something so I nibble on a plain bagel.
"There you are, sleepy head." Ryu gets off the tree stump she was sitting on and walks over to meet me.
"Sorry. You ready?" I pull the bagel out and raise my eyebrows.
"Yeah, wait a minute." She wags her finger for me to bend down. I do so and she fixes my headpiece. "There. Your tiara was crooked…"She suddenly gasps, grabs my bagel and races inside. I stand back up and wait for her to come back out.
A growl sounds off to the right and my eyes flit over there. They narrow and glare into the forest.
"Here you go." Ryu says as she returns. She smiles and holds out the bagel, now covered with jam. "Nobody likes a plai…" She stops when she notices where I'm looking. "Is something wrong?"
"No." I turn back and give her a small smile. "It's fine." The growl sounds ever so softly again and Dragon pulses inside me. I cover up my hiss by taking a bite of the bagel.
"Better?" Ryu asks.
"Yeah. Better." I grab her hand and walk towards the old bey stadium we have.
"Alright, big brother. What's first?" Ryu stops in front of me and salutes before laughing. I chuckle and tell her to do 100 shadow launches.
"A HUNDRED!" Ryu exclaims.
"Yeah. Get to it." Ryu mutters as she walks off a little to do the exercise.
I take a seat on a tree stump and watch as she starts shadow launching. She glances over and tries to pout but ends up smiling. She continues and I sit there in silence. When she finishes, I make her run laps with her bey for stamina training, and run with tires dragging behind her…I've heard that one is very affective.
"No more running." Ryu collapses to the ground. She pants heavily and squints up at me. "Please…"
"Fine." I think for a moment. "Launch your bey and let me see what you can do with it." Ryu's eyes sparkle and she jumps up.
"Mm!" She prepares her bey and aims. Her eyes glow with pride and determination. "LET IT RIP!" Her bey flies through the air and hits a tree stump before landing on the ground. Part of the stump shatters by the force of her bey and I smirk a little. She's not too bad.
"Ryuga." Ryu looks up at me.
"What?"
"Will you let me see your bey?"
"Eh, why?"
"PLEASE!" Ryu gives me her famous puppy dog eyes. I pull out L-Drago and look down at the bey. I haven't been able to use it since Gingka and I battled. Every single time, Dragon shows up and well…things happen, bad things.
A small hand reaches up and grabs L-Drago before I can stop it. I hear a click as I start to move, jolting from my dark thoughts.
"Ryu, wait!"
"LET IT RIP!" She pulls the cord and the bey flies outward. Ryu falls backwards with a squeal as L-Drago shatters the closest tree stump and spins aimlessly on the ground.
"THAT WAS AWESOME!" She looks at me. "LET'S DO IT AGAIN!"
"No!" I grab her shoulders and look her in the eyes. "Don't touch L-Drago again." I realize I was growling and glaring when Ryu started to tear up. I look away and let her go. I stand up and she does to, wiping away her tears.
"It's just spinning." I mutter. "Maybe…" Dragon pulses inside me again and I fall to one knee.
"Ryuga!" Ryu kneels. "What's wrong?" I clutch my chest and tell her to get away. "RYUGA!"
Crash!
"Ryuga…" Ryu sits with her back against a tree fifteen feet away from me. I pant hard as I realize I had backhanded her so hard, she hit the tree. I was just trying to get her away from me.
"Go inside Ryu. Just get away from me."
"But Ryuga!" Ryu stands and tries to come close.
"NOW!" I roar at her. She gasps and looks down. She turns and runs into the forest.
"RYU!" I call before I black out. Dragon's laugh echoes in my ears as my body falls to the hard ground.
Hi again. I'm not gone! I swear. I'm here! I haven't updated in a month of so because of SCHOOL! It sucks. I got really behind and other stuff came up so I had to work before I could write. That and I was having a little trouble near the middle of the chapter, trying to figure out how to bring it to a close.
So what'd you think? I know this chapter probably sucked a little bit but hopefully, the next one will be better.
I don't really have anything else except that I'm going to try to update this again next week. =) Hopefully. Um, so Thanks for reading, review please, and TTYL!
PS: This chapter was not beta read because I'm an idiot and didn't send this to Galaxy and this is late so. =P
