Ch. 4- I do not own anything but the plot.

Danny, Sam, and Tucker were setting up their sleeping bag in silence. No one has said a word since they left the bathroom. Danny held up a flashlight in the middle of the room, so that everyone can see what they're doing. So far, excluding Sam cry for ghosts, nothing out of the usual showed. At least not that they know of.

Once Sam was done with her sleeping bag, she sat down, and looked her two best friend who has the same.

"I apologize for the scare earlier. I guess it was just my imagination running wild." Sam said, feeling guilty for making her friends feel scared about nothing.

"No, no, no. It's okay." Danny said, reaching out to touch her hand softly.

"Yeah, it could have happened to any one of us." Tucker said, smiling at her softly.

"I was just so certain that there was something there. Oh well, I guess it was just my mind playing tricks." Sam said with a sigh.

"Yeah. But at least there wasn't a sign of any paranormal activity running around here as of late." Danny said.

"Well, except you." Tucker pointed out.

"Funny." Danny said, sarcastically.

"Hey, you walked into it yourself." Tucker pointed out to him.

The three teenagers laughed at that until they fell into total silence again. Just then, they heard the sound of laughter coming out of nowhere causing them to jump in fright.

"What was that?" Tucker yelled in fear.

"Calm down, Tucker. There's probably some people on the beach." Danny said.

"I don't think so. It sounded too close to be from anybody outside." Tucker said, looking around the tower.

"Alright. If it makes you feel any better, I can check it out." Danny said, not really psyched about it but if it is to protect his friend, who cares?

"No!" Both of his friends shouted at him, too scared to be left without Phantom by their side. After all, he is the one with the ghost powers.

Danny raised an eyebrow at them in curiosity.

"Don't go. Stay and get some rest. We have a long day tomorrow." Sam said with a soft smile.

Danny smiled back at her as he laid down on his sleeping bag.

"You're right. Everyone should go to sleep." He said.

"You sure? Because if the rumor of this lighthouse is true then I think someone should be a look out for us for the night." Tucker said, hoping Danny would agree with him and look out for them.

Danny knew exactly what Tucker was thinking and said, "Honestly, I'm not even scared. I'm going to get my good night's sleep. So if you are so paranoid of us getting attacked in our sleeps then either sleep with one eye open or you sacrifice your beauty sleep for us."

Sam smirked at that response. There was always a reason why she loved Danny, one of them being his quick and witty comebacks. They may be cheesy sometimes but they were clever at the same time.

Tucker sighed and said, "Fine. Good night."

He wrapped himself in his sleeping bag and immediately fell asleep. Danny and Sam giggled quietly as they heard their best friend snore in his sleep.

Sam turned to Danny and said, "Are you tired or do you want to play a game?"

"What do you have in mind?" Danny asked, curious to what this game was.

"Would you rather?" She answered.

"I think I can manage to stay up an hour or two." He said, smiling.

"Alright. Would rather go way back in time and meet your ancestors (Pre-1800's) or go way into the future and meet your great-grandchildren (Post-2200)?" Sam asked.

"The future. I'm kind of scared of going to the early stages of America, since the English people were not very friendly with everybody they meet." Danny said, laughing.

Sam laughed along as well. She knew exactly what he means.

"Would you rather have free Starbucks for a year or free iTunes music forever?" Danny asked.

"Free iTunes music forever because at least I can get any music of my choice forever. Starbucks would only last for a year." She said.

They continued to do this for about a half an hour. The last question by Sam struck Danny the most.

"Would you rather stay as Danny Fenton forever or stay as Danny Phantom forever?" She asked.

That was a difficult choice. Danny Fenton is the person who he was primarily born to be. He was at least human and he didn't have the kind of responsibilities that Phantom has. Fenton was just an average kid, whereas Phantom has coolest powers known to man. He can win in a fight and has a chance to stay as ghost for who knows how long. Becoming Danny Phantom was never really his choice, it came more as a shock to him. Staying as Phantom was a choice because in that way he can protect everyone he loves and help make the world seem like a better place to live. But with Phantom, Danny had to always worry about his parents, Valerie, the Guys in White, and all of the evil ghosts capturing him and killing him just for their own selfish reasons. With Fenton, all he has to worry about is Dash and friends bullying him for their own selfish reasons. So would he rather be just an average kid with bullying problems but doesn't help make the world a better place or be a hero with so many enemies to count but helps to make the world a better place?

"Phantom. He may have a lot enemies but at least he helps make the world a bit more peaceful." Danny said with a smile.

"Interesting." She said, admiring his choice.

"I think we should just leave it at that. Get some good night sleep." He said.

"Yeah, me too." She said as she slipped under the blanket of her sleeping bag.

"Good night." Danny said, as he slipped into his sleeping bag and closed his eyes.

"Good night." She told him before she closed her eyes.

Once she knew Danny was asleep, Sam opened her eyes and looked around the lighthouse, kind of scared of sleeping in a place like this. She knows it's stupid since she is surrounded by her friends but they're both asleep. What if something happens in the middle of the night and nobody notices? No, that was silly thought knowing that Danny is a light sleeper and would wake up if he heard a strange noise or if his ghost senses went off. While this was a comforting information, that still didn't make her any less frightened about place that she is staying in until the next evening.

She sighed as she moved her sleeping bag closer to Danny's until it hits his flat-bed. She looked at his face as he sleeps.

"He looks so peaceful." Sam thought before she shuffled in her bag to make herself even more comfortable before she drifted off into a deep slumber.
