Chapter: 6 – In which Akashi just wanted to throw a pizza party

The one time Akashi orders pizza for everyone in order to encourage them for the upcoming performance they have set up (he didn't want any of them to embarrass the entire orchestra in front of some of America's top musicians, after all), Murasakibara finds it and eats it all because he finds them hidden in the pantry and thinks it's free for everyone (meaning him) to eat it all.
And then after practice for that day Akashi wants to bring out the pizza for them, but all he finds are empty boxes, and immediately he knows it's Murasakibara and that he isn't sorry for it because, well, it's food, and that there will be no point in even attempting to talk some sense into Atsushi.
But then he turns to the drinks that he had in store as well and then realizes they are missing too, and he sighs. He knows that Murasakibara isn't a water person, and wouldn't glug down all those bottles of sweet drinks so fast. In the entire orchestra he only knew two others who would finish these drinks like a bullet train going at full speed. He wasn't exaggerating about the bullet train, by the way. Akashi never kids about his metaphors.
Therefore, immediately after Riko puts down her baton and calls for a ten minute break, he stands up and addresses them all. He catches everyone's nervous gaze, but he locks on to two pairs of eyes among the crowd. Staring right at them, he speaks.
"I prepared drinks for everyone, but someone drank them all."
He was saying this all while staring at Kise and Aomine back and forth, and they both gulped after sneaking a glance at each other, because they knew that Akashi knew that it was them who had done it and they were so screwed.
Kise speaks first. "Akashicchi, it was the rats! In the pantry!"
Aomine pipes up too, but he was glaring at Kise, looking just about ready to kill him for thinking of such a dumb excuse to tell Akashi. Akashi, out of all people. He feels like only Kise himself would be dumb enough to believe such a thing.
"Y-yes, it was the rats, Poko and Piki!" He almost wanted to smack himself for thinking of such dumb names. Now he was almost as bad as Kise in thinking of excuses. The other members of the orchestra start to snicker their asses off when Aomine speaks, and one of them (the bastard), even plays a short tune accentuating the failure of Aomine and Kise's words.
Akashi closes his eyes, and he pinches the bridge of his nose, trying to calm himself down. He feels like their dumbness is infectious to each other, before they got together, and even more so after they got together. When he finally does calm down, he looks up just in time to see a terrified Kise and Aomine just squirming around in their chairs and secretly making faces only they understood to each other. He smirked.
"All I wanted was to throw a surprise pizza party, but let's change that, shall we. Let's throw Aomine and Kise instead."
("Ehhh, Akashicchi, Murasakibaracchi ate all the pizza too! Why isn't he being punished too!?")
