Sleeping Beauty
I watch my rival sleep, silently with his lips open a little, peacefully,
Your calculating mind resting, dreaming silently.
Sleeping beauty, you sleep so peacefully, what do you dream?
What visions do you see in your sleep?
If only I could see your dreams, to see into your mind,
If only I can make you mine.
Your white hair tossed about on the pillow,
Your lips look soft like a marshmallow.
The moon light shined through your room,
Landing on you,
Making you glow, giving you a halo of light.
Your sleeping form was unaware of my presence as I held you in my sight.
I crept into your bed and laid next to your sleeping form,
My clothing completely torn.
I got into another fight with another mafia member,
For what, I don't remember.
I watch you, your eyes closed, your long eyelashes creating shadows on your eyelids.
This was something that I did,
Every night since that one night….
**** Flashback****
Roaming down the halls, it was quiet,
Everyone, except for some snoring people, was silent.
I walked, unable to sleep, through the halls of Wammys, my emotions for once calm.
For a minute, I paused and looked at my palm,
I wonder why I exist and why I live,
No wonder why I'm so competitive.
As I wonder down the empty hallways, I go to the quieter side,
Where you reside.
Just as I was about to turn, I heard you scream,
Were you having another bad dream?
I heard my name in your pleas,
And I knew that they will never cease.
I crept in the room where you kicked, tossed and turn,
And I felt something in my heart stir.
Brushing my blond hair, I reached out hesitantly to touch you,
And when I did, I knew that my feelings of love were true.
I watched through my blue eyes as you relaxed upon my touch,
And you grabbed my shirt in a tight yet fragile clutch.
I lay with you, holding your sleeping form to my chest,
And there I held you, forgetting about everything including our test.
My sleeping beauty, what do you dream of?
I stared at him, with a gentle, yet so strong, love.
I slept in your bed that night,
I enjoyed sleeping with you, being with you made my heart feel light.
I awoke the next morning, just in time to sneak out of your room,
Not wanting to face the embarrassment and doom.
And as we went about our day,
When I confronted you every day, I love you is all I wanted to say.
**** End of flashback****
Not once did you awake.
And I don't know how much more of this love I can take.
Not once did I not fantasize of feeling your lips against mine,
Yet it was something I never did all this time.
But this night was going to be different,
And I was determined.
I moved my head closer to your lips and I breathed in your scent,
It smelled of mint and peppermint.
And, in what seems like forever, my lips touched yours,
And I felt my heart soar.
Closing my ice blue eyes, savoring my first kiss,
I didn't want to stop this bliss.
As I was about to end our kiss, I felt lips move against mine,
I opened my eyes and ended our kiss to see your eyes staring into mine.
You smiled and blushed and brought me down for another, and I returned it with much enthusiasm and delight.
There we lay in the warmth of morning light.
You cuddled with me and rested your head on my chest.
After our night of passion, you needed your rest.
I stared at your neck covered in bruises and bites,
I resisted bringing you into another round of passion with all of my might.
"Sleeping beauty, what do you dream of?" I said out loud, as I breathed in your scent.
You awoke, "I dream of you, Mello," was what you said.
And the prince charming and sleeping beauty kissed again,
Not thinking about the forces waiting to tear them apart, just focusing on the love between them, not knowing there was an awaiting future of pain.
AN: sorry for not updating, anyways sorry if it sucks. Also I'm thinking about making a sequel of this poem, to make it more complete by causing some pain for them though I don't like hurting them. Please review and tell me your thoughts.
