Holy crap, here it is. Sorry for the long wait, everyone! Think I might be coming up with a bit of writer's block(Whichiskindofironic). Nonetheless, this story is making it's way to 'Finished'! I'd give it at the very least...2? 3? chapters. Although at the slow pace I'm going, this won't be done until May. Hopefully, it won't go that long...I'm aiming for the next chapter to come out before February ends. Happy reading!

It never was that easy to find her, especially when Blake wanted to be secluded from others. And while Yang might not have liked that fact, she was rather conspicuous, even in a large crowd. That wasn't going to help her find Blake. Instead, it'd only help the Faunus in getting away from her friends.

Friends.

That word rang continuously like an annoying bell in her head, bringing Yang back to when she and Blake had their fateful encounter in the Emerald Forest. Feelings of anonymity coursed through both of them during that meeting, Yang being unsure of how she felt of the other. But she decided soon after that that she'd crack through Blake's shell, to have her be more exuberant and outgoing. She liked to think she succeeded, and perhaps she did. But now there was doubt nestled in Yang's mind, of whether they were truly friends.

Letting memories of what they've been through together wash over her, she realized something that summoned an immediate grin upon her worried face. No, they weren't friends.

They were best friends. And yet, here she was, trying to find Blake who had ran away from her own comrades.

But why? Why did she run so suddenly? Did something turn up? Or did she simply needed to get away from her comrades for a while? This situation was strikingly similar to when Blake ran off all those years ago, after her big fight with Weiss, and though she tried to push the memory away, it burst through and came flashing before her eyes, those words ringing through her head once more.

"Well, maybe we were just tired of being pushed around!"

Perhaps it was the discrimination getting to her again? She always was big on the issue, having been part of the White Fang. But surely, with help from her team, she'd have gotten over it by now. Even then, it seemed a bit logical...As Yang slowly sided towards that assumption, more dialogue flooded through her mind, reassuring her that it was not for that reason.

"You'll come to your team mates, and not some...Someone else."

"Of course."

Yang knew better. Through out the years, Blake had met many encounters with curled fists, irate words, and sometimes even violence. But that was just it, and Blake had definitely gotten over that long ago.

Alright, so it had nothing to do with her Faunus heritage. That still left out the important question: Why would she run? What other possible reason was there? Stowing away the questions for after she caught the quick-footed girl, a light bulb lit up in her head and she rushed towards the stairs, jumping up multiple steps at once in her dash for the place she had in mind.

She's gotta be up there...Otherwise, I've got no other ideas! Hope strengthened her pace as she raced up the stairs, ignoring staring and curious bystanders. Finally reaching the roof, she had to skid to a stop to avoid toppling over the edge. The trip was worth it, however. Blake was there, sitting with her legs dangling over the edge. She didn't seem happy. From Yang's point of view, which was behind the Faunus, she seemed to be looking down at something, maybe someone, at the grounds below. That didn't stop her from calling out in worry of her friend.

"Blake!"

"Weiss, where are we-"

The only response that Ruby got was a frantic "Shush!" from Weiss. Shutting up immediately, panicked thoughts coursed through Ruby's mind. Where was Weiss taking her? And what for? Why so frantic, and why now of all times? Did Weiss have something bad to say? What did Ruby do to anger her this time? Surely, not the little accident she had back in the training hall. If anything, that was suppose to relieve stress, but it might have done the opposite...Probably did, judging from her later reaction.

After making sure that no one else was near them, Weiss shut the door and frantically locked it. Slowly, she turned to face her leader. Ruby noticed that Weiss's eyes were averting hers. "Weiss, what's-"

"Ruby." Her surprisingly stern voice Ruby's mouth close immediately. "It's time we had a talk about..." What ever the heiress wanted to talk about, she did not seem to be having an easy time getting it out. In fact, it seemed as if she were trying to restrain herself from doing so.

"Weiss...?" Ruby asked, with her tone easily distinguished as concerned. "If you don't want to talk ab-"

"It's been," Weiss interrupted, "Four years since we've first met that day, our first days at Beacon. And..." As Weiss found time to formulate her words, her eyes looked away from Ruby and towards the floor. "And I didn't treat you well. In fact, I didn't like you at all. Falling on my supplies, then inhaling the dust and almost blowing us off the cliff..."

"Yeah, you don't need to remind me." Ruby muttered quietly, but not enough for the heiress to miss. Glaring at her leader, Weiss took a deep breath and crossed her arms. "But you've definitely proven yourself. A natural leader, a good fighter, and a good..." And again, what ever Weiss wanted to say, it was caged in the back of her throat.

"Friend."

Really? That's what she had trouble getting out? But the thought of them just being 'friends' didn't satisfy the cloaked girl. She was hoping she'd hit more on 'best friend', but it wasn't very easy to please a girl such as Weiss Schnee. It didn't have to work both ways, though. Ruby was just fine with Weiss being her best friend. The other way around would be great, too, but right now was just satisfying.

Ruby realized that this was probably only the beginning. There might be a lot more stuttering and confusion, and she still couldn't see the point to this all. Why now, at the end of the year?

Then it hit her. Some people left work until the last minute, where they'd scramble to finish it as soon as they could. Procrastination, but that wasn't Weiss. She was a hard worker, but here she was, having a discussion that could of been talked weeks before. So this must of came very recently...Or something else? Maybe another thing that Weiss decided to cage. A very crazy thought sped through her head, one so ludicrous she forced it out. No, that couldn't be it...

"So, Ruby, I've been thinking how to word this, and..." Weiss's hands tensed on her arms, and she still refused to look directly at Ruby.

"Weiss, you don't have to continue if you d-" Again, Weiss interrupted, but this time, it left them both silent.

"I think I have a crush on you."

There came the stutters and confusion that she expected earlier. It took Ruby a few seconds to register what she had said, Weiss giving an awkward stare as if she were wondering, Did she just break? Once it finally went through to Ruby's brain, her eyes widened and her jaw dropped. "H-Huh?! What-" Weiss seemed to be 'enjoying' this as much as Ruby. Light-pink flooded their cheeks, and as Ruby was left stunned, they both had absolutely no idea what to say next.

It was Ruby that broke the gawking and stuttering. "But-What-Why would-"

"I wasn't sure how to say it!" Weiss nearly shouted, now turning her back towards Ruby. "And I wasn't too sure of my feelings, either, this never happened before!" Another silence came through, until Weiss took a deep sigh. "I think...Maybe we should let it go." And although Ruby couldn't tell, Weiss was regretting this every passing second. Hands slowly reaching for the door, she quietly left the room, leaving Ruby dazed at what had just happened.
