"AH-CHOO! Damn it I have a cold now!" I was complaining to Ventus, we both were in my room. I was laying in my bed underneath the covers because obviously I was freezing. Ventus came back in and help me get down the nasty death grape cough medicine.

"This is nasty, can't I have the pills?" I ask Ventus.

Ventus shook his head, "Sorry Aqua thinks this is going to work better for you instead of the pill forms."

"She just wants me to suffer with this nasty medicine." I grumbled.

Ventus laughs, "It might be or she knows it is going to work quick."

"She says that about all of the medicine."

We both laugh and then I coughed, "I guess I wont be seeing Xion today probably."

"Actually…" Ventus tells me then turns his head.

"What?"

"She is here. Aqua, Terra, and me have to do some shopping today. Then get you some medicine, its summer time and we just don't know how you get a cold during this time. I called Xion and ask if she was able to watch you while we were gone and she told me that she would be happy to watch you today."

"Figures she would be after last night." I said.

Ventus shakes his head, "Well, I have to get going. I will send Xion up here then the both of you are going downstairs in the living room. Aqua doesn't want you two to be in your room while she is away."

"Wow, considering what happen YESTURDAY…I cant believe she doesn't trust me, she is getting smart."

Ventus gives me a evil glare then smiles and laughs with me. He leaves the room and Xion comes in wearing an black sweater that looks like around her neck it was cut to make more room and was wearing dark blue sweat pants. She actually looked pretty hot.

"Hello Vanitas…" Xion says while smiling.

"Hello Xion, so you going to be the one who baby-sits me today I see."

"Yea I guess, you shouldn't of curse your luck last night."

"Oh shut up and help me down stairs." I smirk.

Xion comes over and lets me put up my left arm around her shoulder and helps me down the stairs. For a cold, I can't believe that I am this weak. She lays me down on the loveseat and gets a comfy blanket and put it over me.

"Do you want to watch anything?" She asks me.

"Hm, I guess we can watch the latest season of Family Guy."

"Is that the only thing you ever watch?" She smiles.

"Basically yeah besides porn."

She looks up at me with big eyes, I laugh so hard that I coughed real bad again.

"I'm kidding Xion. Do I look like a guy who would watch that nasty shit?"

Xion mutters something and smiles to herself. Wait…what the hell did she say to herself?!

"Wait, so you DO think I watch it!"

She laughs, "No, you simply just look like a guy who would watch it."

I smirk, "Well you look like a girl who would watch it."

She turns to face me again and walks over to me and flings a pillow at my face.

"Hey! Don't hurt the sick." I laugh.

"I was only hurting a sick minded person. No one said a real sick person. " She smiles and sits on the L-shaped couch. We watched at least one episode when I noticed that she put her self in a ball.

"You can sit over here underneath the covers if you would like. I don't kick hard." I laugh.

She shakes her head and says, "I'm fine really."

"Then why are you shaking?"

"Because I see your face." Xion smiles.

I smirk again, "I might be a bad influence on you already I see."

"You probably are." She says.

"Get over here underneath the covers, the last thing is you getting a cold."

She shakes her head again and I slowly get up from laying down.

"What are you doing? You are suppose to be laying down."

I ignore her and bringing the covers with me, I sat on the L-shaped couch and sat right beside her and put the covers on her.

"See? Was that too hard for you." I ask.

"I was fine Vanitas really." She scoot over away from me.

"What is wrong Xion?"

"Nothing." She says quickly.

I grab her right arm to make her close to me when I noticed that she flinched a little bit. To myself I was thinking what the fuck. She kept her head down and didn't look at me at all. I pushed myself over to her closely and keeping my one hand on her arm I took my other and slowly lifted the sweater sleeve up and noticed multiply cuts on her wrist. I look up at her surprised yet hurt with a sense of this being my fault.

"Xion…what…what…"

"Its nothing…"

"Xion, " I lifted my hand to force her to look at me, "This is not 'nothing' this is something that you shouldn't be doing to yourself at all. It doesn't solve your problems. I told you I was here for you if there was something wrong."

"I just did this…accident, this morning. Roxas and I got in to a fight and he said some pretty hurtful words to me and I went upstairs and…then Ventus called me asking if I could watch you for a few hours and I told him I would. I was going to plan on telling you but I was just afraid…"

"Afraid of what Xion?" I ask calmly.

She started to cry, "That…you would yell at me and scream at me, call me stupid and everything else."

"Xion, I wouldn't yell at you because of this, yes I am upset but I can only help you to make sure you don't do this again. I feel like this is my fault…" I looked away from Xion and put my head down.

Xion slowly grabs my arm, "Vanitas, it is not your fault. Why on earth do you think it was your fault?

"If it wasn't for me hanging out with you then Roxas wouldn't have a BF, then he wouldn't of called you horrible names."

"What is a BF?" Xion asks.

I look up at her and smiled a little, "Bitch Fit."

Xion giggles and I actually smile more. The sound makes me feel happy inside I guess? Then again I don't know what happiness feels like. I coughed hard again that I got dizzy.

"Ugh." I said

"Vanitas? Are you alright? Maybe you should lay back down." Xion says concern.

"Maybe your right."

I go and lay down and put my feet near Xion and had my head resting against the pillow that earlier she threw at me. I am pretty sure I dozed off for at least a half an hour because when I woke up, I did not see Xion.

"Xion?" I ask.

"She is not here my apprentice."

Oh no, please just not this again. A hand was put on my neck and started to chock me. I wasn't able to breath at all. I was to weak to fight back this time.

"Vanitas! Vanitas!"

I actually wake up this time and went straight up to sitting position. Xion gave me a worried look. I noticed that my t-shirt had sweat stains especially around my neck.

"What happen?" I ask.

"You must have had a nightmare or something. I left the room to get something to drink and make soup for you when I heard you screaming I stop what I was doing and hurried back in here. You were tossing and turning so I hurried over and shook up till you woke up. I been here for at least five minutes trying to wake you up."

"Oh… sorry for making you worry like that."

"It's fine Vanitas. Do you want to talk about it?"

"Eh, it is the same dream every night actually it was about my old boss which you know…"

"Oh." Xion says. For awhile we sat quiet looking around the room. To break the ice I ask her what kind of soup she was going to make me.

"Hm, I was thinking chicken noodle soup. That is what usually helps colds."

I give her my eww face.

"What? You don't like chicken noodle soup!?"

"Heavens no, I basically only like chicken rice soup or tomato soup with grill cheese."

She gives me a confused look, "What is the difference? It is the same thing."

"Nope it is not."

"Yes it is."

"Noodles are long while rice is short. That is the difference."

"It is the same stuff though but different noodles Vanitas."

"Are we literally arguing about Campbell Soup right now?" I laugh.

She smiles at laughs along with me. I won the argument and she said she was going to make tomato soup with grilled cheese. I haven't had that for a while. I turn my head back to our 72'' Flat Screen TV with HD. My DVD of Family Guy was still playing and was only on the seventh episode. I must of not have slept to long considering the episode I was watching before I fell asleep was the fifth one. While I was watching the show I was thinking about the cuts on Xions' arm or arms. I did not know if there was cuts on the other but I am sure that there is. I looked down at my wrists and saw the faded marks on my arms when I did it that one time…

*FLASHBACK*

I get in to the bathroom and shut the door behind me. I know if Ventus and them find out I do this then I am pretty much dead. I opened the bathroom cabinet and grabbed my razor that I was hiding. I put it down and got undress. I grab it and open the glass shower door and got in, I shut it behind me and started my shower. I cleaned my hair before I sat down in the shower. I closed my eyes for a few minutes and thought to myself, No one knows the pain I am going through. No one understands me at all. I will never have true happiness in life like the rest of them. Why am I even here right now? Would they miss me if I died and disappeared? I doubt it… I get the razor in my hand and hold my wrist out and I put the razor to it. I was hesitant about it. I closed my eyes again and made the razor go across my wrist a couple of times. The pain felt good and I thought it helped me through my sorrows, so for a few more minutes I kept doing it.

I get out of the shower and put my long t-shirt on and headed down-stairs. It was during winter time so it wouldn't be awkward wearing a long t-shirt and no one would notice it. Ventus, Terra, and Aqua were setting up the Christmas tree, I was going to head out the back porch when Ventus motioned me over to him.

"What Ventus?" I grumbled.

"Why don't you help us set up the Christmas tree? It is fun!" Ventus smiles.

"Eh I don't know. It's not really my style."

"Please!"

"Fine, stop whining like a baby." I said and grabbed the Christmas lights. I handed some to Aqua and the both of us made it go around the tree. We had to put them on the top so Aqua ask me to make sure I get them there. I reached up to the top and my long sleeves went down a little bit and I didn't notice that Ventus saw the marks. I came back around and grab some ornaments with Ventus and noticed that he seemed sad for some reason.

"What's wrong?" I whisper.

He looks up at me and whispers back, "Are you happy?"

Then he walks away with a handful of ornaments and put them on the tree. I stared at the rest of the ornaments in the box. Fuck, he must of saw them. I felt tears coming up so I just walk to the door and went outside and sat on the concrete cold ass stairs and put my head between my legs and for once in forever, I started to cry. I am sure I was there for a while when I felt a hand on my back, I peeked through my hair and noticed that it was Ventus.

"What do you want Ventus, I'm busy." I muffled.

"Vanitas, why…why did you do it?"

"You wouldn't understand Ventus…"

"I would if you tell me then I can help you Vanitas. I can't help you when you keep everything inside and not tell. I am trying my best to make you feel at home here but how can I know if I am doing anything right if you wont tell me? When you do this," Ventus grabs my left wrist, "I feel like I'm not doing a good job at all."

I lift my head up to look at Ventus, "Ventus, you are doing such an amazing job on making me feel at home here with Aqua, Terra, and you. Even after everything I have ever done to you guys, you accepted me in this house when I had no other place to go. The only reason why I did this is because I feel like there isn't any one who understands me after everything that has happen to me over the years, you know? I can't simply tell me what I am and what ever happened to me when they automatically think I'm just a evil person considering who I was a apprentice with."

"Vanitas, your right. No one can understand the pain and suffering that you went through when you were the apprentice but I can be here for you with two ears and a heart. I will always be with you no matter what even if you don't like it and have your bad days. I won't tell Aqua or Terra about this but can you make a promise with me?"

"What is the promise?" I ask.

"That….you don't do this again. It will never help with anything. It might feel good but after your done, the problem is still there, if later tonight you want to talk about it then we can. Here, I got you something before I came out. Open up your hand."

I open my left hand and he put a high-potion in it, "This will heal the marks up well enough so that Aqua and Terra don't see them. I hope you use it."

With saying that he gets up, slides a little bit then gets back in to the house to finish setting up the Christmas tree. I look down at the high-potion and was thinking about rather using it or not, for a while I sat there looking at it and deciding if I should or not when I open up the high-potion and drank it. Not even minutes later the scars were just scratches it looked like. I rub my face to make sure that no tears were still rolling down them and then I get up from the stairs and head back inside and threw away the high-potion in the kitchen garbage. I went back in to the living room and Ventus and Aqua were still putting lights around the tree. Geez, How many lights does it need? I told myself and just shook my head back and forth.

Ventus looks over his shoulder and smiles, "Hey do you want to put the Christmas tree star up this year?"

"The what?"

"The star that goes up on the top of the tree. Everyone does it. We thought that since you moved in here earlier this year, you would like the honors." Aqua says.

"Sure, why not." I told myself. I get over to the tree and Terra handed me the tree star thingy and I was having a little difficult height on reaching it. Terra picks me up by the waist so that it be easier. I put the star on the tree and he put me down. We all step back and look at the tree. The lights were white. Those things that wrap around it were black and white with blue in them. It was amazing. For a little bit I thought to myself that maybe that they all actually do care about me.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

After I was done thinking about that memory Xion came in with two bowls of tomato soup and a big plate of grilled cheese.

"Yum." I said.

"Right, I'm starving. I haven't ate much this morning." Xion says grabbing a grilled cheese.

"Really? Well come here every morning and you will be full of food because Aqua makes you eat it all." I laugh.

Xion giggles and we both ate our soup and the rest of the grilled cheese. We continued to watch Family Guy when I thought of something.

"Hey, Xion I will be right back. I have to use the bathroom."

"Oh, okay. Do you need help up the stairs?"

"No, I think I am strong enough to make it up the steps this time. If you hear a big boom then you know I fell." I smiled.

Xion smiles back and I head upstairs and luckily there was not a big boom sound. I go in to my room, which I still have to clean, and open my closet and opened my box with my old outfit in it with a few other things of mine in there. I dug through a lot of stuff till I found what I was looking for and before I headed down stairs, I went to the bathroom because actually I really needed too. After washing my hands, I head back down stairs and sat beside Xion on the L-shaped couch and I hid the object I was looking for behind my back.

"Hey Xion, I want you to lose your eyes and hold out your hands. I have a surprise for you."

"First it better not be something nasty." Xion says.

"Trust me, it is not something nasty. Close your eyes already."

"Fine." Xion says.

When Xion closed her eyes and opened her hands, I grabbed the mega-potion that I had behind my back and put it in her arms. When I told her to open her eyes, she looks down at the potion and then back up to me.

"Vanitas, I-I can't accept this. These are really hard to find."

I push it to her more, "Xion, you need to more than I do. I cut myself once last Christmas and it wasn't the best idea. Ventus saw them and he was devastated, I cried on our front steps for a while when he came out and told me a couple of things. Then he handed me a high-potion because at the time he didn't have this potion. The potion cured up my scars to scratches and you can barley see them anymore. I don't want you to make the same mistake I did. I want you to drink this so you don't have to deal with the marks becoming scratches then have to wait months before they finally disappear. Please do it for me?"

Xion looks at the potion and looks back up to me and stared at it for a while. She opens the potion up and drinks all of it. Not even minutes later the scars were completely gone. I felt better knowing that the scars were gone. Xion throws away the mega-potion and sits back down next to me and lays her head against my arm.

"Thank you Vanitas. You didn't have to waste that on me."

"No problem. I rather waste it on you or Ventus than anyone else here."

Xion smiles up at me and yawns a little while, "Man, its only 9:00 A.M. and I am still really tired."

I smiled, "Why don't you take a nap? I can wake you up when ever they get home or what time do you want me to wake you up?"

"You can probably wake me up around 10:00 I guess, It gives me a hour of sleep." Xion says.

"Okay, there is extra blankets in the closet in the hallway between the dining room and living room. You can grab one of those and sleep on the loveseat. There should be extra pillows in there also."

Xion says thank you and gets up and grabs a blanket and a pillow and lays down on the loveseat. She fell asleep right away. I turn the TV down and was still continuing to watch Family Guy. Aqua, Terra, and Ventus came back home around 9:30 and when they noticed that Xion was sleeping they motioned me to the kitchen.

"How you feel Vanitas?" Aqua asks.

"I feel a little bit better. My nose is still running but I don't cough as much anymore." I said.

"That good. I got you more cough medicine which helps for runny noses." Aqua says.

"I have a feeling it's the grape stuff."

"You know me so well." Aqua smiles.

"You just want to torture me don't you with that stuff."

She simply smiles and goes put everything away. After talking to Ventus for a half hour it was 10 and I went to wake up Xion. I shook her shoulder and she yawns.

"Are they here?"

"Yeah, they came back a half an hour ago but they wanted you to sleep in." I said.

"That's nice of them." She says.

"Don't get use to it." I laugh.

She giggles and looks up at the clock. "So do you want to do anything for the rest of the day? It is nice out and warm so you shouldn't get a bad cold."

"Sure, we can probably head to the islands?" I said.

"That's fine." She says.

So we cleaned up the living room and head over to the Islands for a couple of hours. Soon it was around 6:00 p.m. and I am pretty sure we are both sunburn to hell.

"This is going to hurt in the morning." I told Xion.

" Don't remind me. I can already feel it burning when you mention it." She laughs.

We head to her house and on the front steps Namine was on steps checking the mail when she notices us.

"Hello Xion and Vanitas." Namine says.

"Hello Namine." Xion and I both said at the same time.

"Well, I better head off Xion." I told her, "I will see you tomorrow." Before she could say anything back I gave her a small kiss on her forehead and walked away back to my house. I'm pretty sure that she was speechless like I was yesterday. I get back home and take a cold shower and went in to my room and laid down. Ventus comes in and sits in my beanie bag chair.

"So what you two do for the rest of the day?"

"We just went to Islands. We didn't do much there actually."

"It was a better day then mine. I stayed in the house because I felt like a lazy kid."

I laugh, "For once you do."

Ventus just smirks and gets up, "Oh, you are suppose to take this medicine."

"Ew, no."

"Come on Vanitas. You have to get better."

"Can we just tell her I took it?" I said.

Ventus shakes his head and gave me the cup. I took it and drank it all. This is the worse taste ever. I shake my head back and forth and gave the cup back to Ventus and he leaves the room to take it downstairs and comes back upstairs to say good night to me as usual. I said good night back and look up at my ceiling and before I knew it I dozed off in to a peaceful slumber this time.
