Spinner tapped his steering wheel impatiently in front of Sean's apartment building. The traffic was busy around him, and he was on the side waiting for Emma.

Sean was going to kill him, but she just wanted to go see him and be out of the house. But Sean wouldn't really really kill him. His eyes widened. Would he?

The door opened and Spinner jumped but was happy it was Emma who came back into the car. It was raining outside, and he heard it storming until she slammed it closed.

"Where is he?" he stopped talking as he heard her choke on her tears and saw how horrible she looked. Tears ran down her cheeks, and she lept over to him, sobbing into his arms and he put his arms around her. She was shaking so hard. "Aw, crap." he muttered.

He had a feeling these two were together, and this proved it.

"He..He was with another g-g-girl."

He rubbed her back and frowned. She was so innocent in all this, didn't deserve it. He wanted to protect her from it all. "Lets go back home Emma, I'll stay with you tonight. Get you some hot chocolate or somethin' on the way. Alright?" he smiled sheepishly when she pulled away.

She slowly nodded and her eyes showed such hurt and heart break in them, her lower lip still trembling. Sean Cameron had done a number on her. Her mascara was a mess and she smiled sadly when Spinner tried to wipe her tears away. He sighed, putting his fingers into a fist and turned to put the car on.

..he could see what Sean saw in her. He was trying not to take advantage of her now as it was. She was hot, so pure, sweet.. She was 18 today- oh shit- she was 18 today. Way to celebrate your own birthday..Dad dead, boyfriend cheated, other best friend dead.

(((((((((((*********))))))))))

"I want to pretend that this is actually Emma happy..but I doubt it." Liberty admitted shamefully as she and Manny sat in a club that weekend. They were having a belated birthday party for Emma. They had insisted they stay home and have a small girls night but Emma wanted to go out.

With Spinners connections, he had got them in since only being 18. They sat in their booth watching Emma grinding up the one and only. Spinner had come, and brought Jay, the two knew another as well. Jay sat with the girls as well and squinted his eyes at who was Snakes daughter and who the girls were saying had dated Sean. Jay could tell Sean would of broke Spinner's neck if he saw this, Emma's back pressed against Spinners on the crowded dance floor, and his hands all over her, lips on her neck..

Manny also knew Spinner would run for the hills if Sean came in right about now. She yelled over the music, "I can't believe he really cheated on her."

Jay smirked over to her and she looked down, stirring her drink and tried not to blush. He was friggen gorgeous with a cherry on top.

Jay went serious and admitted, "Sean doesn't seem the cheating type."

"You'd know?" taunted Manny, raising a sexy little eyebrow up at him. Had he explained what kind of number she was wearing tonight by the way? He noticed her as soon as he walked in. Hottest girl in the club. He got lost in her eyes and those dimples.

"It's in the past, Dimples. You either run from it, or learn from it."

Not only did he admit his flaws and his new faithful morals, but he quoted a line from Lion King! Manny's heart pitter pattered.

Liberty rolled her eyes at the two who wouldn't stop staring and drooling over another. Get it on already.

((**))

Emma turned toward Spinner on the dance floor, you know, gave her ass a rest. His hands laid on her hips and she looked up at him as he stared down at her lustfully and she leaned up, trying to kiss him passionately. He kissed back and she whimpered, and once again, not because it was good...it was bad.

She ignored it and tried to kiss him more. She had to get him out of her head.

((***))

Manny had went to the clubs back door, letting Jay and Liberty know first of course. Jay tried to disagree or at least come with her, but Manny insisted there would be other people out there. She wasn't the only one in the world who smoked! And she was right, another stranger was lighting a smoke a few feet away.

The clubs music vibrated around the building and Manny got out her cigerette, glancing up at the night sky.

She hoped Snake was up there, doin' his thang, watching over everyone like he did to them when he was alive. She frowned, and tried to reach for her liter but didn't find one.

She sighed, looking around and looked to the figure by the corner. "Hey," she got closer, "Do you by chance have another light?" she giggled sort of embarressed.

The figured turned and pushed her so hard up against the wall. Manny cried out painfully and he grabbed her arms, holding her up against the brick wall as she tried to fight him off. The bitch was strong.

"NO!"

((((***))))

"She's taking a while." muttered Jay, grabbing drinks with Emma.

Emma sighed and had to take a break from Spinner, she called to the bartender, "Tequila please!" she turned back to Jay and slurred a bit, "Huh?"

"Your friend, Manny." Jay taunted her, trying to make her snap out of it. He was starting to worry, "She's been gone too long."

Emma seemed to straighten up, and looked around the club. She couldn't see anybody in this mess but her heart started to pound, "Go! Check outside!" she shoved Jay toward the back door and ran to the bathrooms.

She had sobered up right there when Jay brought up Manny in danger. She was her best friend, like a sister.

"MANNY!?" Emma yelled, running into the bathroom and just a bunch of girls giving her weird looks. Emma's terrified eyes glanced around and back out, shoving a girl in her way.

(((***)))

Manny woke up from being hit so hard, she had been knocked out for just a moment and fluttered her eyes open to feel a stinging pain in her thigh and cried out in pain. The killer was using the tip of his knife to carve something on her thigh. They still lied at the back of the building.

She kicked again, causing the killer to struggle and the back door of the club opened. The killer raised his head and quickly turned, dropping Manny and taking a run for it down the street. Jay went to run after him, to curse madly and run back to Manny who crawled up. He grabbed her safely and she held onto him tight, sobbing hysterically.

"It's alright, he's gone." Jay promised, putting an arm around her waist as her body clung to him and her little hangs clenched his shirt for dear life. He put a hand on the back of her head and she laid her head on his chest crying.

((((***)))

"You didn't see him?" Spinner asked Manny when they got back to the station.

Manny insisted she didn't need the hospital, but a nurse hanging around the station had bandaged her thigh up.

Jay was missing for a while, so Emma stood with Spinner and Manny as he asked her questions. Manny now had on Jay's black jacket that hung around her like a blanket, and her lip was split where the killer had knocked her out..and she had a big L cut on her thigh.

Let alone scarred for life.

"I was busy struggling for my life, Spinner." spat Manny.

Tracker came over with a coffee in his hands. Phones were ringing like crazy in the background around the station. Almost everyone around town was claiming they knew who the killer was or that they had been attacked. There had been so many false alarms.

"I think he just means are you sure he was the sins killer." Tracker confirmed and got a vicious glare from both Manny and Emma as they sat on the bench. He lifted his hands in defense.

"What happened?" came Joeys hectic voice, running into the station.

Tracker eyes him weirdly, "What are you doing here?"

"I heard what happened," he bent down to Emma and Manny, "Did he attack you?" he grabbed Manny's chin, seeing her a bit beat up.

Jay came back over and eyed the scene too, sharing a look with Spinner. Spinner cleared his throat and had to ask, "How'd you know Joey?"

Joey looked over and saw Spinner glance at Jay skeptically and Jay too crossed his arms. "Over the radio" he answered, "I still have my radio you idiots." he rolled his eyes and stood up. "What?" he snapped at Tracker now who was the new chief, "You think *I* did it? That I'm the killer?" he snickered bitterly and nodded over to Jay, "what about Batman over here?"

"What about me?" snickered Jay right back, squinting his eyes

Manny and Emma both looked between the cat fight going on with grown men and both stiffened a little. As if they needed more stress in their lives.

"Pretty random for one of Raditch's boys to come to our station." Joey told Jay, "Trying to see what evidence we got? What we have on you?"

Jay looked down, chuckling and rubbing his chin before he madly broke out and Tracker yelled at him to stop but the two swung their fists. Tracker tried to stop him from going at Joey but he swung a good punch in. Spinner had went between but got thrown into the wall by Joey so Joey could give a good punch back at Jay, which he did. Both girls sat closer to another, flinching from the fight in front.

From the front doors, Sean was just coming in for his shift to notice what the hell was going on.

"HEY!" bellowed another voice the girls couldn't see but was thankful for when whoever had thrown themselves into the fight, easily whipped Jay away from Joey and then charged Joey up against the wall with his arm against his throat. Joey licked his bleeding lip but raised his hands in defeat, and Sean lifted his arm off him.

Tracker and Spinner had blocked Jay from going after Joey again. He panted, a gash across his eyebrow.

Emma and Manny had looked at another, now noticing Sean here. Emma tried to avoid his gaze when he looked around and then noticed her. His face twisted up painfully, and his heart sunk.

"What's going on?" he asked, looking around at the guys.

Tracker spoke up firmly, "Manny was attacked outside of Burns Night Club. Thankfully Jay and Spinner were there."

Jay and Spinner glanced at another and Spinner itched the back of his head, not saying just why he was there. Sean moved past it, thinking they were just watching over them and was greatful for it.

"Are you okay?" Sean asked Emma, as Tracker nodded Joey to follow him and check his wounds. He went to gently take hold of her chin to make her look at him but she glared and moved away from him.

"Fine." she snapped, and glanced at Spinner behind him, "Can you take us home?"

Spinner nodded, avoiding Sean's eyes when the girls got up. Manny stopped in front of Jay and looked up regretfully.

"Sorry," she frowned, cringing at the cut that was going to mark across his eyebrow.

He just smirked down at her, "Not your fault, Dimples."

Her heart skipped by the nickname, smiling and blushing. She went to take off the jacket and he shook his head. "You're going to do the cliched thing and tell me to keep it?" she teased.

He grinned now ear to ear, digging his hands into his pockets. Jesus, was HE blushing now? "Got a million others like it."

"Alright," she sighed and spoke seriously, "Thankyou.. for helping me."

He even bowed his head a little, for how close they stood she could just kiss him like that. "Anytime." he huskily replied and she bit her lip from smiling and walked around him to Emma. Spinner opened the door for them and went to follow them out when a tight hand gripped his collar.

Even Jay raised his eyebrows at how pissed Sean looked at Spinner, "You touch her?"

Spinner could see the dark look in Sean's eyes. He couldn't lie and cleared his throat, "We..we're dating."

Sean looked hit by a bus. Had even let him go. Spinner took the chance and walked out quickly after the girls.

Jay stood there, and frowned. "Sorry man." he told Sean. Looked like the guy wasn't over her. As much as he knew about Emma from tonight was she was Snake's daughter, and clearly going through a lot of shit. Had to, if she went from Sean to Spinner. Jay had to chuckle at that.

"He's uh," Sean swallowed hard, eyes looking bewildered, "He'll be good for her."

"Why can't you be?" Jay asked.

Sean clenched his jaw and looked at him. He painfully admitted, "She thinks I cheated on her."

"So sort it out if you didn't, dumbass." Jay's eyes scanned Sean wearily, "And they call you a detective?"

Sean snickered bitterly and shook his head, "Not that easy."

"You're going to let the Rookie have your woman?" taunted Jay, heading out the door and snorting with humor. "Riight." he sang and left.

Sean stood there, a little in shock still. Still a little hurt too.. Emma had moved away from him like he was some monster. He chuckled though and shook his head, Jay was such an asshole.

That night, Spinner got shoved back on Emma's bed wearing his boxers. His eyes widened a bit but stared up with lust and groaned when she lifted her dress up over her head.

She wore a red lace bra and panties, her tanned smooth skin glowing with the color and her pale blonde hair swaying around her shoulders.

When she bent over to crawl on top of him, he cringed and asked, "This isn't because of...him, is it?"

Sean. Seeing Sean. Seeing Sean since he was with that slut..

Emma played clueless, "Him who?" she got on Spinner's lap, straddling him and hoping that'd make him forget his question

He clenched his jaw looking down. He was a fool to think he wasn't some rebound..

Emma frowned. Spinner was a sweet good looking guy! Taking a moment out of her stressful, havoc life, she began to think. Spin was normal, Spin wasn't trouble, Spin could be good for her. She cupped his face and looked into his eyes and they both softened.

She promised, "There is no more him, no more stupid killers trying to hurt us, and no more pain, especially in my life. Ok? Are you fine with that or not? Cause this can't be anything if you're not." She looked down sadly, "I can't handle anymore pain."

..with the loss of my dad, of Darcy, and now Sea-No, don't think about him... .. I just can't take anymore pain. Emma thought.

Spinner suddenly grinned, "I won't let no stupid killers get you." he mocked her view of the sicko on the streets and she giggled a bit, blushing and he kissed up her neck.

She nodded and he nodded, and she smiled sadly until she bit her lip feeling his hands start to slide down her hips, pulling her panties along with.

And once again, another guy was no Sean.

She frowned deeply as she tried to get to sleep that night.

Meanwhile, Jay knocked on his Chiefs door. Raditch snapped out of it and looked up. "Hogart," he said while clearing his throat.

Jay walked into his office before leaving and clenched his jaw before asking, "Don't you think we should help now? With the Sin Killer case?"

Raditch snickered, "Why the hell would I wanna do that?"

Jay looked at him incredulously, "I know you and Simpson weren't the best of friends but didn't you use to work together? Didn't you kinda..respect the guy? He was a good detective."

Raditch looked away from Jay and just sneered, "It's their problem. They can't catch the guy, so why should we try?"

Jay raised an eyebrow at Raditch like he was a dumb idiot, "They're all right. You are a lazy, spiteful, son of a bitch."

Raditch's mouth dropped, turning his head to watch Jay walk out.

"I quit."

(((***))

Sean walked into his apartment, kicking it closed behind him tiredly. He went to his fridge, pulling out another beer.

His counters, tables and even bedroom seemed to be loaded with them. He went to his couch and put on the tv, opening a book in front of him and had a bunch of case files on his coffee table.

He wasn't going to give up.

He was going to find this killer.

((((****))))

Emma tossed and turned in her bed all night long. Nothing but thoughts of Sean or nightmares of the killer plagued her dreams.

((**))

In Raditch's office, he sat alone in the dark, lighting a cigar.

He sat back in his black big leather chair, his cold eyes squinting into the darkness of his own space.

He turned his chair to look out the window, and took a deep sigh before taking another inhale until something tight wrapped around his throat and he choked on it, and the smoke he inhaled to quick. Someone was strangling him with a rope, and his face was already purple, trying to claw at the thin rope around his neck.

Blood even slipped through, and finally his feet stopped kicking and he let one last gasp out before falling limp.

The killer released that rope, and whipped Raditch's blood off of it to use the blood to write something on his wall.

'Sloth.'

(((***)))

Manny went to her knocking door, checking her doors eye hole first. She bit her lip while smiling and opened it up.

"Detective Hogart," she greeted teasingly, leaning her petite frame on the door. She wore her black shorts and a white tank top for bed. Her long hair tucked behind her ears.

"Had to see you were okay.." he drifted, looking kind of confused and Manny bit back a laugh. He must not be the typical caring guy.

"Don't say you care about little ol' me?" she asked playfully but then grew serious, seeing it in his eyes. He had these eyes that pierced through her now and the moment she met him. She had some weakness for him too that made her heart flutter.

He itched the back of his head, "Well, I'll stop by tomorrow...make sure you're still okay." he went to turn and then felt her small hand wrap around his. He looked down at it and turned back to her, raising an eyebrow.

"Or.." she bit her lip nervously this time, never have felt this way about a guy before. "You could stay the night?"

Both knew she didn't mean sexually, but protectively. I mean, maybe sex would come later but they were very content on just being with another tonight for her to feel better. She rolled her eyes and smiled at his nod and smug smile.

She tugged him inside and when she shut the door he couldn't help but lock it, then lean her against it. Her breath got stolen away as he grinned down at her, looking quite infatuated. He was pretty handsome himself. He leaned down, and caught her lips with his own.

She moaned against the kiss. Her lip didn't hurt anymore, where she had been hit, and he made it so much better as he softly flicked his tongue against it until she danced her tongue against his.

After leaving her breathless, he took her hand to lead her to the couch, falling on it first and then she crawled on top, snuggling into him.

He watched whatever was on the tv, and finally Manny could sleep feeling protected. Ofcourse, in the morning, they fucked like rabbits.

(((***)))

Crime scene workers took pictures of Raditch's dead body in his office, with the word 'SLOTH' over the wall the next morning.

Jay wasn't there, Spinner wasn't there and Tracker wasn't there. Where the hell was everyone for this? This was horrible.

This was becoming too close to them.

Sean stood there in the room, his eyes narrowed at the scene and turned to go get some air. When he exited the office, he exited the building too, going out into the loud streets and turned back towards the building to punch the wall hard with his fist.

AN: YIKES! Raditch deserved it though muahaha. And awww even when thinking Sean cheated on her, Emma can't move on. And even when Snake's dead, Sean's not giving up the case and in fact getting more obsessed with it..good or bad? Anyone want any more jealous reactions from Sean to Spinner by the way? Also, sparks are flyin' between Manny and Jay right?
