Chapter Six
AN: I want to thank Meganhana08 for some wonderful ideas she sent me for this chapter. I was, quite frankly, really stuck for ideas of how to fill out this chapter a bit more. Thanks to her this is going to be a much better chapter. As I enjoy helping others with ideas, I appreciate the same in return.
Morgan was happy with her morning training session with sailor Mercury, but she had practically run back to her chambers to get cleaned up. She had a meeting with the queen in and didn't want to be late. What the queen wanted, she didn't know. The only thing she could think of was what had happened with Mars the other day. The young red head somehow knew that it wasn't going to be a very pleasant one for Mars; then again the fire senshi did deserve what she was about to receive.
Everyone was beginning to see that Morgan was starting develop an intense dislike for Mars, and they really couldn't blame her. Mars had bullied Anci in the past and was now starting on Mrogan. Someone had reported the malicious harrassement Mars had commited and the queen had been forced to take drastic measures to end this behavior once and for all.
As she turned in to the next corridor that led to the throne room, Morgan noticed that the queen was waiting by the doors. She bowed quickly as she stopped in from of the queen and waited for her to speak. For the queen to be waiting outside the throne room instead of outside was very unusual.
"Morgan, I wanted to talk to you for a moment before we go in." queen Serenity replied as the young girl stopped in front of her.
"Yes your majesty?" Morgan asked.
"I understand from my daughter, that you screamed in fear when Mars taunted you with the ball of flame she had in her hand. I have princess Mars parents inside and I would like you to tell what happened to make you so afraid of fire." the queen requested.
"Yes your majesty." Morgan replied and followed the queen in to the throne room.
As they approached the throne room, Mars glared at Morgan, trying to threaten her. Morgan simply smiled back with a saucy look in her eyes. This infuriated the senshi of fire who took a step forward with a growl, only to have her father's hand clamp down quite firmly on her shoulder.
"Princess Reianna, you are in enough trouble already. I suggest you restrain you temper immediately." the king of Mars growled quietly in his daughter's ear.
"Now Morgan, I would like you reacted the way you did when Mars taunted you with a ball of fire in her hand." queen Serenity asked gently.
"Yes your majesty. I was only around six years of age, when I was on earth for a few years, with my father's family. I was in my elementary class when a fire broke out in the school. I was cornered by the fire by the classroom window; and it facinated me. I did a foolish thing in trying to touch it. As you can see, my finger was badly burned as a result." Morgan stated as she held up her hand to show everyone. "I have done nothing to the senshi of Mars since I arrived a few days ago, and she has done nothing but harrass and try to intimidate me every day. When Mars placed her fireball in front of my face, I was somehow able to produce water and put it out, and get her soaking wet."
"Liar! I've been too busy to have anything to do with the likes of you! Who invited you to the moon kingdom anyways?!" Mars snarled.
"I did Mars. I was the one who found Morgan and sent my best trainer to Ceres to train her. I suggest you watch what you say before I am tempted to relieve you of all your duties and rights in my kingdom." the queen commanded firmly. Suddenly the door on the opposite wall of the throne opened and the inner senshi stepped in.
"You are the one who is lying Mars. You have plenty time each day to relax and have fun. Not once since Morgan arrived have you even tried to be friendly towards her." Venus replied sternly, ashamed of her friend's attitude.
"You should know how it feels to be the new person here with no friends. We welcomed you right away, even with your snarky attitude." Jupiter replied crossly.
"How dare you stick up for her, you don't even know her! You traitors, I'm beginning to wonder why I ever became friends with the lot of you. I'm certain..." Mars started to respond, only to have her head jerk to the side from the suddenly hard slap from princess Serenity.
"Didn't you hear what Jupiter just said. You should feel ashamed of yourself for doubting our friendship with you. Stop being so arrogant Mars, or I will start forgetting our friendship!" princess Serenity replied angrily. In her heart sailor Mars did feel bad for using her friends like she did, but her pride got in the way and she simply looked away in a huff.
"If you will excuse us your majesty, my wife and I need to have a serious talk with our daughter about her behavior." the king of Mars replied respectfully as he grabbed his daughter's arm and head her out of the room.
"Of course. I hope I will see you for the evening meal?" queen Serenity inquired. The king simply nodded, being too angry at his daughter to answer respectfully before leaving the throne room.
"Mother, when you went to Ceres to see Morgan a number of years ago, did you know that she had elemental powers?" princess Serenity asked.
"No I didn't. I don't even think my trainer, Hisoka did either. Morgan, at any time, on Ceres, did you ever feel any power run through your body?" queen Serenity asked gently.
"I think I felt strange sensations once in a while before Hisoka came. But I just thought I had eaten something I shouldn't have." Morgan answered. This last comment made the other girls and the queen giggle a little. Morgan herself couldn't help the smile that appeared on her face. For the first time in a very long time, she felt herself begin to relax.
"I must get back to my office and tend to some business girls. I will see you in the diningroom later." the queen replied as she stood up and and walked to the door.
"Yes mother. Yes your majesty." princess Serenity, the senshi and Morgan replied.
"Umm, sailor Jupiter, can I talk to you for a moment. Please." Morgan replied a little nervously.
"Yes, what would you like Morgan?" Jupiter asked, smiling in a friendly way as she could see Morgan's nervousness.
"I had a feeling that her majesty told all of you that I would be a protector for you and the others. And you didn't really like that. Am I right?" Morgan asked tentatively.
"Yes, that's right Morgan. But I don't hold it against you. It's what the queen wants." Jupiter replied honestly.
"I was thinking we could just say that I would be watching you backs, in the event of a sneak attack; while you were busy with another opponent?!" Morgan asked more replied, tentatively.
"I agree with you Morgan." Jupiter replied.
"Just make me one promise. Let me have some of the fun." Morgan replied a little cheekily.
"It's a deal." Jupiter replied, smiling. "Just what can we come for you now?"
"Back watcher?" Morgan replied.
"Morgan!" the others groaned and laughed. Let's all go out to the gardens and relax before we all have to get ready for supper." Mercury replied. They all agreed and headed for the doors that led out to a lovely private garden.
For Mars, she was told, quite firmly, that she would be going back to her planet for a very intensive training program for a week; with no special favors. She didn't like this one bit, but knew she had definitely stepped over the line.
