"The deep caverns?!" Karah exclaimed. "That is what it is?!"
Trixie nodded as they entered the Hideout. "Yes, it's just a little dark and red. It's not that bad." She said like it were nothing, but that place was like hell. Karah stiffened slightly, not liking how Trixie explained her version of the homeland of the Dark Bane.
Eli came inside just after their conversation. "Come on Trix, you'll spook Karah off our team." He chuckles slightly as he puts his hands over both of the girls' shoulders.
"Huh? What do you mean by team?" Karah asked confused.
Eli and Trixie smiled. "Well, for a temporary if you wish." The redhead said with a a hand on her hip.
"Geez, thanks. I guess." Karah said surprised somewhat. "But… a-are you sure?" She asked doubtful.
Eli nods. "It's always good to have some help." He said.
"ELII!" Pronto shouted from the garage. "HELP! PRONTO DOSEN'T WANT TO DIE SQUASHED!"
All three of them ran to the garage and saw Kord throwing heavy objects at Pronto (who had already been hit with a few tools).
"Alright. Who touches the nerve?" Eli asked the girls. They glared at him, but Trixie's glare made the navy haired boy shrink in fear.
"Fine. I'll do it." He said nervously while keeping his head high. His chest ached, and not because of his broken bones, but because he wasn't sure if Kord would hit him in the same place and make things worse.
"Go on and hurry flooper." Karah said seeing Eli approach slowly.
The Shane swallows hard and taps Kord on the shoulder (or shoulder blade) just when he saw Pronto faint. The troll turned his head slowly at the boy short to him.
Before anything bad happened, Eli's trembling fingers touched and pressed the vain on Kord's neck.
The troll tensed up and his limbs shifted to awkward angles before he collapsed with a loud thump!
The girls joined Eli's side and saw him inhaling deeply.
"Good job E." Trixie said with a hand on his shoulder. He managed to chuckle softly back as a response but felt his throat dry. What if the prophecy wasn't actually a prophecy... And if it were actually a curse...? Eli thought while scratching the back of his neck. It just doesn't make sense to me. If it were a prophecy, would Kord have these sudden wild and savage attacks?
Before Eli could think any longer, Pronto's moans of pain snapped him out of his thoughts. "Hey Pronto. Do you hear me?" The Shane asked while his hand hovered over his nose.
"I'll get an ice pack." Trixie said.
"And I'll get the first aid kit." Karah said. Then, both girls ran inside to get what they said.
Pronto came more to his senses and opened his eyes.
Eli sighed in relief. "How do you feel?" He asked quietly. The mole gave him a thumbs up before he passed out again.
"Guess he needs sleep." Eli muttered carrying the Pronto to his hammock.
Minutes later…
"Is he okay?" Kord asked walking slowly inside, his eyes from brown once again. He had a hand behind his neck, probably holding and ice pack.
Eli looked up and nodded, not saying a word.
There was this eerie feeling that the Shane felt around Kord, it welt different than before.
"So. Are you ready to get cured?" Eli asked.
"You bet bro."

At Blakk Industries
"Maurice. This is perfect, the combination of ghoul DNA with humans' is incredible. I love the results," Dr. Blakk said with a grin. "just look at him."
Maurice couldn't help but agree, though the looks of the boy Evan was monstrously horrible, he could only imagine the power he could yield. "He may be a mutant now. But I'm sure he will meet your expectations." He said proudly.
Both men were behind a glass wall where Evan was being held. In there was the transformation of the now mutant, the experimenting and torture. The young man knew that working for Blakk would be a bad thing, but he had never imagined become something else.
"Doctor Blakk," Evan said huskily. His voice was deeper—like the growl and snarl of a ghoul—, but it was sometimes high pitched— like the chirp of a slug—
"What is it, Evan, my most incredible creation." Thaddeus chuckled darkly talking into the microphone.
"I am most ready to kill the Shane Gang and meet all expectations." Evan said with a bright green and toothy grin. "But I'm also ready and fully prepared to capture that Cave Troll."
Maurice exchanged a nervous glance with his boss. Was he planning to capture that sick monstrous troll?
"I am very glad to hear that." Blakk hissed like a snake. He grinned from ear to ear. "Just a few more preparations and you shall be ready." He smirked devilishly. "Then you shall be prepared for battle!" Thaddius laughed maniacally.
Maurice managed a grin, but he had his own concerns. Quietly, he left the room and decided to go and talk to Twist. That blonde might as well know what his crazy boss is up to anyways.
Twist wasn't doing anything big at all; there he was, laying on his bed eating a pack of chips, a small bag of slug chow for Loki, watching horror movies. At the crack of the door, Twist looked up to see the redhead he knew as Maurice. "What do you want?" He grumbled as he popes some more of chips in his mouth, crunching on them audibly.
Maurice frowned but then lifted and eyebrow. "Do you know what the boss is working on right now?" He asked crossing his arms.
Twist chuckled. "Why should I care? If he doesn't tell me anything, well, it's not of my concern. Right?" He said as a matter-of-factly. "Unless it's about the Shane Gang, then yes, it's my concern." He spat.
Maurice couldn't help but smile. Like mentor, like apprentice. He thought. "Well, let me tell you this. It is about the Shane Gang..." He said, and paused before adding something else, "and he didn't sent you on the case."
Twist frowned, annoyed. Loki agreed with him with a growl. "Oh, really? Well, it must be because there other plans for me." He said flatly.
"Or because you aren't of any use in this occasion." The redhead smirked.
The blondie was getting frustrated and turned back to the screen. "Just go away red." He mumbled, munching on chips again. "Oh, and tell one of the maids to come and give drinks." He added. "I ran out." And to emphasize that point, he shook his empty cup.
"Hey Nacho, tell the maid." Maurice said to the green skinned 'man' as he passed by.
Nacho knew what he was talking about and did as told. He may not have been active on any mission nowadays days but he was always around. (Not to mention that he only made chaos).
Maurice had closed the door of Twist's room and inside, the boy looked at Loki doubtfully.
"Think he's right?" He said quietly. Loki just snarled and shrugged before nuzzling against his slinger's hand. "I might as well believe you my friend. I might as well do..."
