6 Revelations
We held our breath and stepped forward. The wind suddenly gusted around us it roared in our ears and whipped our hair and clothing around. When it ceased we were left feeling as fresh and rejuvenated as when Aslan had been in Narnia and our clothes, which had previously been in the style of England, were now similar to Narnian robes though not as comfortable.
This was the only change and hadn't come from the wards, which was a relief. Even if you are the most powerful magical being in the world there are still chances that you will miss a ward or one of the effects. Luckily we didn't and were able to carry on without trouble. However the identification ward recognized us as people already keyed into it and will only have updated information. That poses the question of whether the old man we saw earlier in the week who recognized Lucy has anything to do with this or if it is just the Narnians.

Pushing the feeling aside I stepped into my office and walked over to my book. I flipped to the page with the list for this year's students on it and glanced over it to double-check whether all of them had been notified. I stopped and stared at the names on the top of the list which read in flaming red ink:
Lucy Pevensie, Edmund Pevensie, Susan Pevensie, Peter Pevensie
I have no recollection of thinking about these children at all, let alone visiting them as I was supposed to. I do suppose a visit to Poppy is in order.
As I turned to leave, I was startled when a slight white-gold light flared on the page and a distant roar could be heard on the wind. The lettering had changed and was now shining gold in the dim light and read:
Sir Peter Wolf's-bane, Wielder of Rhindon, Son of Adam, Blessed of Aslan, by election, by prescription, by conquest and by the gift of Aslan, The Magnificent, High King over all Kings of Narnia, Emperor of the Lone Islands and Lord of Cair Paravel and the Northern Mountains Count of the Northern March, Knight of the Most Noble Order of the Lion.
Lady Susan Of the Horn, Daughter of Eve, Blessed of Aslan, by election, by prescription, by conquest and by the gift of Aslan, The Gentle Queen of Narnia, Lady of the Southern Plains and Mountains, The Marksman Queen.
Sir Edmund Pevensie, Son of Adam, Blessed of Aslan, by election, by prescription, by conquest and by the gift of Aslan, The Just King of Narnia, Duke of Lantern Waste and Count of the Western March, Knight of the Most Noble Order of the Table.
Lady Lucy Cordial Bearer, Daughter of Eve, Blessed of Aslan, by election, by prescription, by conquest and by the gift of Aslan, The Valiant Queen of Narnia, Duchess of Glasswater and Countess of Galma and Terebinthia and Empress of The Seven Isles. *
I sat down hard, still staring at the book as the memories of that day last week came rushing back. The memory charm had been broken, though not by myself but by whatever caused the drastic change in the way the book worked. Never before had the lettering been golden and titles from outside of the wizarding world were usually not included. I had never seen anything like this before. These children, if you can call them that, are an enigma.
Suddenly I realized that they must have crossed the wards without setting any but this one off or I would have been notified. Until students cross the wards in their first year only their names appear in the book. From then on any of their achievements as well as the amount of house points they have received and lost and how many detentions they have had as well as any titles they gain outside of school in the wizarding world are recorded the moment they cross the wards in September every year and are updated as long as they are in Hogwarts grounds until they leave for the summer holidays.
The first thing I had heard of them from anyone other than the book was from the Centaurs so that is the first place I will go now, then I will go and pay a visit to Professor Kirke. When I mentioned them to him after my visit to the centaurs there was a flicker of something on his face though it disappeared too quickly for me to be sure what it was. I got the idea to go to him after I visited the centaurs at midsummer. He is one of, if not the only, person the centaurs listen to and take seriously and if they knew something of the Pevensies, what was to say that he didn't? Hopefully I will be able to get more information this time. Last time rainstone only said "Pevensie children, and there are four of them you say, two boys and two girls, yes?" this was what tipped me off. I hadn't told him the genders of the siblings but I just smiled and nodded then inquired as to how he knew. His gaze sharpened out of the far off look it had had and he looked at me piercingly. "That is for Their M… them to tell you if they see fit. I cannot tell you that which is not yours to know or mine to tell."

We made our way swiftly after that aware that we could be being searched for and wanting to find the Narnians before anyone found us. As we drew nearer to where we had sensed the magic we moved more cautiously and became more alert. We were expecting only centaurs but you can never be too certain or careful. We heard the sound of hooves ahead of us and noticed that the forest was brighter indicating a clearing.
We approached warily. Standing just out of sight we could see the centaurs dwellings. Several pavilions in a horseshoe around one much larger one. The pavilions were made out of wooden frames with a latticework of vines and plants forming the walls and shingled roofs. The floors were hard trodden earth. There were no fires as they never cooked anything and any medicines were made at the lone stove in the center of the healing pavilion, which was also used to boil water. In Narnia, there would have been two rings of pavilions around the central one. The outer one would contain residential dwellings and the inner one would be for professional use. The centaurs are most famous for their astronomy, healing, lore and knowledge of the natural world.
There was a council gathered in the central pavilion it had obviously recently started as we had heard hooves while we were walking but now all was silent. There were no centaurs outside except for one guard who was near enough to hear what was being discussed but far enough away to have a good view of the entire clearing.
We exchanged glances then stepped forward as one, automatically straightening and moving so that we stood in line. Myself, Susan Peter, Lucy. The guard noticed us almost at once and lifted his horn to his lips then froze, looking at us with wide eyes. He lowered his horn and gave us a deep nod only being prevented from bowing by my wave of a hand to indicate that he should not. We nodded back and went quickly forward for we did not want to draw too much attention to ourselves.
We made our way over to the pavilion and slipped inside the door being seen by none except the centaur general who was leading the meeting. He gave us a slight nod having seen my sign to not get us noticed and carried on with the meeting.
When the meeting ended and he asked if there was anything else to discuss one centaur stepped forward and asked, "What is to be done about the kings and queens? Do we go out and find them or let them come to us? How long must we wait? They need to know more than just what Dumbledore will tell them and I think we should warn them against telling him too much."
The general smiled slightly and nodded slightly toward us, we stepped forward and I spoke "I believe your first questions are now answered and your warning heeded, but as for your other points, we would very much like to know for ourselves."
